Multicenter case-control study of the risk factors for ulcerative colitis in China显示文摘AIM:To evaluate potential risk factors in the development of ulcerative colitis(UC) in China.METHODS:A total of 1308 patients with UC and 1308 age-matched and sex-matched controls were prospectively studied in China. The UC cases were collected from 17 hospitals in China from April 2007 to April 2010.Uniform questionnaires were designed to investigate risk factors including smoking,appendectomy,stress,socio-economic conditions, nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs(NSAIDs),oral contraceptives, diet, breastfeeding, infections and family sanitary conditions.Group comparisons by each factor were done using simple logistic regression analysis.Conditional logistic regression was used for multivariate analysis.RESULTS:By univariate analysis, the variables predictive of UC included feeling stress, light and heavy alcoholic drinking, spicy food, sugar consumption and infectious diarrhea, while heavy tea intake and tap water consumption were protective against UC.On multivariate analysis, the protective factor for UC was tap water consumption [odds ratios(OR) = 0.424,95%CI:0.302-0.594,P < 0.001];while the potential risk factors for UC were heavy sugar consumption(OR = 1.632,95%CI:1.156-2.305,P < 0.001),spicy food(light intake:OR = 3.329,95%CI:2.282-4.857,P < 0.001;heavy intake:OR = 3.979,95%CI:2.700-5.863,P < 0.001),and often feeling stress(OR = 1.981,95%CI:1.447-2.711,P < 0.001).Other factors, such as smoking habit, appendectomy, breastfeeding,a history of measles, rural or urban residence, education, oral contraceptives, and NSAID use have not been found to have a significant association with the development of UC in the present study.CONCLUSION:Our study showed tap water consumption was a protective factor for UC,while spicy food, heavy sugar consumption and often feeling stress were risk factors for UC in this Chinese population. | Yu-Fang Wang Qin Ou-yang Bing Xia Li-Na Liu Fang Gu Kai-Fang Zhou Qiao Mei Rui-Hua Shi Zhi-Hua Ran Xiao-Di Wang Pin-Jin Hu Kai-Chun Wu Xin-Guang Liu Ying-Lei Miao Ying Han Xiao-Ping Wu Guo-Bing He Jie Zhong Guan-Jian Liu | 2013 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2013,19,11: | 24
The Lushan M_S7.0 earthquake and activity of the southern segment of the Longmenshan fault zone显示文摘Following the Lushan MS7.0 earthquake on 20 April 2013,a topic of much concern is whether events of MS7 or greater could occur again on the southern segment of the Longmenshan fault zone.In providing evidence to answer this question, this work analyzes the tectonic relationship between the Lushan event and the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake and the rupture history of the southern segment of the Longmenshan fault zone, through field investigations of active tectonics and paleoearthquake research, and our preliminary conclusions are as follows. The activity of the southern segment of the Longmenshan fault zone is much different to that of its central section, and the late Quaternary activity has propagated forward to the basin in the east. The seismogenic structure of the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake is the central-fore-range fault system, whereas that of the 2013 Lushan event is attributed to the fore-range-range-front fault system, rather than the central fault. The southern segment of the Longmenshan fault zone becomes wider towards the south with an increasing number of secondary faults,of which the individual faults exhibit much weaker surface activity. Therefore, this section is not as capable of generating a major earthquake as is the central segment. It is most likely that the 2013 earthquake fills the seismic gap around Lushan on the southern segment of the Longmenshan fault zone. | CHEN LiChun RAN YongKang WANG Hu LI YanBao MA XinQuan | 2013 | Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,28: | 24
The China Alzheimer Report 2022显示文摘China’s population has rapidly aged over the recent decades of social and economic development as neurodegenerative disorders have proliferated, especially Alzheimer’s disease(AD)and related dementias(ADRD).AD’s incidence rate, morbidity, and mortality have steadily increased to make it presently the fifth leading cause of death among urban and rural residents in China and magnify the resulting financial burdens on individuals, families and society. The‘Healthy China Action’plan of 2019-2030 promotes the transition from disease treatment to health maintenance for this expanding population with ADRD.This report describes related epidemiological trends, evaluates the economic burden of the disease, outlines current clinical diagnosis and treatment status and delineates existing available public health resources.More specifically,it examines the public health impact of ADRD,including prevalence, mortality, costs, usage of care, and the overall effect on caregivers and society. In addition, this special report presents technical guidance and supports for the prevention and treatment of AD,provides expertise to guide relevant governmental healthcare policy development and suggests an information platform for international exchange and cooperation. | Rujing Ren Jinlei Qi Shaohui Lin Xinya Liu Peng Yin Zhihui Wang Ran Tang Jintao Wang Qiang Huang Jianping Li Xinyi Xie Yongbo Hu Shishuang Cui Yuan Zhu Xiaoping Yu Pengfei Wang Yikang Zhu Yiran Wang Yanyan Huang Yisong Hu Ying Wang Chunbo Li Maigeng Zhou Gang Wang | 2022 | General Psychiatry2022,35,1: | 20
Modeling of coupled deformation, water flow and gas transport in soil slopes subjected to rain infiltration显示文摘Rain infiltration into a soil slope leads to propagation of the wetting front, transport of air in pores and deformation of the soils, in which coupled processes among the solid, liquid and gas phases are typically involved. Most previous studies on the unsaturated flow and its influence on slope stability were based on the singlephase water flow model (i.e., the Richards Equation) or the waterair two-phase flow model. The effects of gas transport and soil deformation on the movement of groundwater and the evolution of slope stability were less examined with a coupled solid-water-air model. In this paper, a numerical model was established based on the principles of the continuum mechanics and the averaging approach of the mixture theory and implemented in an FEM code for analysis of the coupled deformation, water flow and gas transport in porous media. The proposed model and the computer code were validated by the Liakopoulos drainage test over a sand column, and the significant effect of the lateral air boundary condition on the draining process of water was discussed. On this basis, the coupled processes of groundwater flow, gas transport and soil deformation in a homogeneous soil slope under a long heavy rainfall were simulated with the proposed three-phase model, and the numerical results revealed the remarkable delaying effects of gas transport and soil deformation on the propagation of the wetting front and the evolution of the slope stability. The results may provide a helpful reference for hazard assessment and control of rainfall-induced landslides. | HU Ran CHEN YiFeng ZHOU ChuangBing | 2011 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2011,54,10: | 19
Interleukin-1β is a potential therapeutic target for periodontitis: a narrative review显示文摘Interleukin(IL)-1β, a pro-inflammatory cytokine, was elevated and participates in periodontitis. Not only the link between IL-1β and periodontitis was proved by clinical evidence, but also the increased IL-1β triggers a series of inflammatory reactions and promotes bone resorption. Currently, IL-1β blockage has been therapeutic strategies for autoimmune and autoinflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, cryopyrin-associated periodic syndromes, gout and type II diabetes mellitus. It is speculated that IL-1β be a potential therapeutic target for periodontitis. The review focuses on the production, mechanism, present treatments and future potential strategies for IL-1β in periodontitis. | Ran Cheng Zhiwu Wu Mingming Li Meiying Shao Tao Hu | 2020 | International Journal of Oral Science2020,12,1: | 18
Consensus on the application of negative pressure wound therapy of diabetic foot wounds显示文摘Because China is becoming an aging society, the incidence of diabetes and diabetic foot have been increasing.Diabetic foot has become one of the main health-related killers due to its high disability and mortality rates.Negative pressure wound therapy(NPWT)is one of the most effective techniques for the treatment of diabetic foot wounds and great progress, both in terms of research and its clinical application, has been made in the last 20 years of its development. However, due to the complex pathogenesis and management of diabetic foot, irregular application of NPWT often leads to complications, such as infection, bleeding and necrosis, that seriously affect its treatment outcomes. In 2020,under the leadership of Burns,Trauma and Tissue Repair Committee of the Cross-Straits Medicine Exchange Association, the writing group for‘Consensus on the application of negative pressure wound therapy of diabetic foot wounds’was established with the participation of scholars from the specialized areas of burns, endocrinology, vascular surgery, orthopedics and wound repair.Drawing on evidence-based practice suggested by the latest clinical research, this consensus proposes the best clinical practice guidelines for the application and prognostic evaluation of NPWT for diabetic foot. The consensus aims to support the formation of standardized treatment schemes that clinicians can refer to when treating cases of diabetic foot. | Shizhao Ji Xiaobin Liu Jie Huang Junmin Bao Zhaohong Chen Chunmao Han Daifeng Hao Jingsong Hong Dahai Hu Yufeng Jiang Shang Ju Hongye Li Zongyu Li Guangping Liang Yan Liu Gaoxing Luo Guozhong Lv Xingwu Ran Zhongmin Shi Juyu Tang Aiping Wang Guangyi Wang Jiangning Wang Xin Wang Bing Wen Jun Wu Hailin Xu Maojin Xu Xiaofei Ye Liangxi Yuan Yi Zhang Shichu Xiao Zhaofan Xia | 2021 | Burns & Trauma2021,9,1: | 17
The M_S7.1 Yushu earthquake surface rupture and large historical earthquakes on the Garzê-Yushu Fault显示文摘As revealed by field investigations, the co-seismic surface rupture zone of the 2010 MS7.1 Yushu earthquake,Qinghai is a characteristic sinistral strike-slip feature consisting of three distinct sinistral primary ruptures, with an overall strike of 310°-320° and a total length of 31 km.In addition,an approximately 2-km-long en-echelon tensile fissure zone was found east of Longbao Town;if this site is taken as the north end of the rupture zone, then the rupture had a total length of ~51 km.The surface rupture zone is composed of a series of fissures arranged in an en-echelon or alternating relationship between compressive bulges and tensile fissures, with a measured maximum horizontal displacement of 1.8 m.The surface rupture zone extends along the mapped Garzê-Yushu Fault, which implicates it as the seismogenic fault for this earthquake.Historically,a few earthquakes with a magnitude of about 7 have occurred along the fault, and additionally traces of paleoearthquakes are evident that characterize the short-period recurrence interval of large earthquakes here.Similar to the seismogenic process of the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake, the Yushu earthquake is also due to the stress accumulation and release on the block boundaries resulting from the eastward expansion of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. However,in contrast with the Wenchuan earthquake, the Yushu earthquake had a sinistral strike-slip mechanism resulting from the uneven eastward extrusion of the Baryan Har and Sichuan-Yunnan fault blocks. | CHEN LiChun WANG Hu RAN YongKang SUN XinZhe SU GuiWu WANG Ji TAN XiBin LI ZhiMin ZHANG XiaoQing | 2010 | Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,31: | 17

Omentin-1 prevents inflammation-induced osteoporosis by downregulating the pro-inflammatory cytokines显示文摘Osteoporosis is a frequent complication of chronic inflammatory diseases and increases in the pro-inflammatory cytokines make an important contribution to bone loss by promoting bone resorption and impairing bone formation. Omentin-1 is a newly identified adipocytokine that has anti-inflammatory effects, but little is known about the role of omentin-1 in inflammatory osteoporosis. Here we generated global omentin-1 knockout(omentin-1^(-/-)) mice and demonstrated that depletion of omentin-1 induces inflammatory bone loss-like phenotypes in mice, as defined by abnormally elevated pro-inflammatory cytokines, increased osteoclast formation and bone tissue destruction, as well as impaired osteogenic activities. Using an inflammatory cell model induced by tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α), we determined that recombinant omentin-1 reduces the production of proinflammatory factors in the TNF-α-activated macrophages, and suppresses their anti-osteoblastic and pro-osteoclastic abilities. In the magnesium silicate-induced inflammatory osteoporosis mouse model, the systemic administration of adenoviral-delivered omentin-1 significantly protects from osteoporotic bone loss and inflammation. Our study suggests that omentin-1 can be used as a promising therapeutic agent for the prevention or treatment of inflammatory bone diseases by downregulating the proinflammatory cytokines. | Shan-Shan Rao Yin Hu Ping-Li Xie Jia Cao Zhen-Xing Wang Jiang-Hua Liu Hao Yin Jie Huang Yi-Juan Tan Juan Luo Ming-Jie Luo Si-Yuan Tang Tuan-Hui Chen Ling-Qing Yuan Er-Yuan Liao Ran Xu Zheng-Zhao Liu Chun-Yuan Chen Hui Xie | 2018 | Bone Research2018,6,2: | 16
Preparation of activated carbon from cattail and its application for dyes removal显示文摘Activated carbon was prepared from cattail by H3PO4 activation. The effects influencing the surface area of the resulting activated carbon followed the sequence of activated temperature > activated time > impregnation ratio > impregnation time. The optimum condition was found at an impregnation ratio of 2.5, an impregnation time of 9 hr, an activated temperature of 500°C, and an activated time of 80 min. The Brunauer-Emmett-Teller surface area and average pore size of the activated carbon were 1279 m2/g and 5.585 nm, respectively. A heterogeneous structure in terms of both size and shape was highly developed and widely distributed on the carbon surface. Some groups containing oxygen and phosphorus were formed, and the carboxyl group was the major oxygen-containing functional group. An isotherm equilibrium study was carried out to investigate the adsorption capacity of the activated carbon. The data fit the Langmuir isotherm equation, with maximum monolayer adsorption capacities of 192.30 mg/g for Neutral Red and 196.08 mg/g for Malachite Green. Dye-exhausted carbon could be regenerated effectively by thermal treatment. The results indicated that cattail-derived activated carbon was a promising adsorbent for the removal of cationic dyes from aqueous solutions. | Qianqian Shi Jian Zhang Chenglu Zhang Cong Li Bo Zhang Weiwei Hu Jingtao Xu Ran Zhao | 2010 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2010,22,1: | 13
Effects of dietary yeast nucleotides on growth, non-specific immunity intestine growth and intestinal microbiota of juvenile hybrid tilapia Oreochromis niloticus ♀ × Oreochromis aureus ♂显示文摘This study investigated the effect of dietary supplementation of yeast nucleotides on the growth, nonspecific immunity, intestine growth and intestinal microbiota of juvenile hybrid tilapia. Tilapia(initial average weight of 8.02 g) was fed test diets supplemented with a yeast-originated nucleotide mixture(0,0.15, 0.30, 0.60, and 1.20 g/100 g diet) for 8 weeks. Fish fed the diet with 0.60% nucleotide had significantly higher weight gain than the control group(P < 0.05). Feed efficiency was improved in the fish fed 0.60 and 1.20% nucleotide compared with that in the control group. The optimal doses of nucleotides supplementation for growth and feed efficiency of fish were determined as 0.63 and 0.81%, respectively.Intestinal growth was improved in the 0.30 and 0.60% groups, as indicated by significant increase in intestine length. The fish fed 0.60 and 1.20% nucleotide showed higher super oxide dismutase(SOD)activity and lower malondialdehyde(MDA) level in the liver than the control fish, indicating enhancement of the anti-oxidant status. Serum lysozyme activity was significantly increased in the 0.15 and 0.3%nucleotide supplementation groups, suggesting an enhancement effect on the non-specific immune response. Lastly, dietary nucleotides supplementation exerted moderate influence on the intestinal microbiota of hybrid tilapia. A reduction in the cumulative abundance of putative butyrate-producing species was observed in the intestinal microbiota of fish fed diets with 0.60% nucleotide compared with the control, implying an interaction between dietary nucleotides and butyrate production. Briefly, dietary supplementation with 0.60% nucleotide improve the growth performance, immune activity and intestine growth in tilapia. | Li Xu Chao Ran Suxu He Jianli Zhang Jun Hu Yalin Yang Zhenyu Du Yanou Yang Zhigang Zhou | 2015 | Animal Nutrition2015,,3: | 12
Emergency material scheduling optimization model and algorithms:A review显示文摘In the emergency management of disruptions, efficient emergency material scheduling(EMS) is a key factor to save people’s lives and reduce loss.Based on the literature of EMS and related areas in recent years, the research was summarized from two aspects of EMS optimization model and algorithms. It is concluded that the EMS optimization models mainly aim at the shortest time, shortest distance, minimum cost, maximum satisfaction and fairness, etc. The constraints usually include the quantity of supply depots, relief supply and vehicles, the types of commodities, the road network conditions, the budgets and the demand forecast of emergency materials.Multi-objective model is more complex and it usually considers more than one objective. To find the optimized solution, the multiobjective model with complex constraints needs more efficient algorithms. The existing algorithms, including mathematic algorithm and heuristic algorithm, have been categorized. For NP-hard(non-deterministic polynomial hard) problems, heuristic algorithms should be designed, which mainly include genetic algorithm(GA),ant colony optimization(ACO),particle swarm optimization(PSO),etc.Based on the characteristics of the optimization model and various algorithms, appropriate algorithm or tools should be chosen and designed to obtain the optimized solution of EMS model. Finally, the development trends of EMS optimization model and algorithm in the future are proposed. | Hui Hu Jing He Xiongfei He Wanli Yang Jing Nie Bin Ran | 2019 | Journal of Traffic and Transportation Engineering(English Edition)2019,6,5: | 11
A new classification of seepage control mechanisms in geotechnical engineering显示文摘Seepage flow through soils, rocks and geotechnical structures has a great influence on their stabilities and performances, and seepage control is a critical technological issue in engineering practices. The physical mechanisms associated with various engineering measures for seepage control are investigated from a new perspective within the framework of continuum mechanics;and an equation-based classification of seepage control mechanisms is proposed according to their roles in the mathematical models for seepage flow, including control mechanisms by coupled processes, initial states, boundary conditions and hydraulic properties. The effects of each mechanism on seepage control are illustrated with examples in hydroelectric engineering and radioactive waste disposal, and hence the reasonability of classification is demonstrated.Advice on performance assessment and optimization design of the seepage control systems in geotechnical engineering is provided, and the suggested procedure would serve as a useful guidance for cost-effective control of seepage flow in various engineering practices. | Yifeng Chen Ran Hu Chuangbing Zhou Dianqing Li Guan Rong Qinghui Jiang | 2010 | Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2010,2,3: | 10
Jasmonic acid carboxyl methyltransferase regulates development and herbivory-induced defense response in rice显示文摘Jasmonic acid(JA) and related metabolites play a key role in plant defense and growth. JA carboxyl methyltransferase(JMT) may be involved in plant defense and development by methylating JA to methyl jasmonate(Me JA) and thus influencing the concentrations of JA and related metabolites. However, no JMT gene has been well characterized in monocotyledon defense and development at the molecular level. After we cloned a rice JMT gene,Os JMT1, whose encoding protein was localized in the cytosol, we found that the recombinant Os JMT1 protein catalyzed JA to Me JA. Os JMT1 is up-regulated in response to infestation with the brown planthopper(BPH; Nilaparvata lugens). Plants in which Os JMT1 had been overexpressed(oeJMT plants) showed reduced height and yield. These oe-JMT plants also exhibited increased Me JA levels but reduced levels of herbivore-induced JA and jasmonoyl-isoleucine(JAIle). The oe-JMT plants were more attractive to BPH female adults but showed increased resistance to BPH nymphs, probably owing to the different responses of BPH female adults and nymphs to the changes in levels of H_2O_2 and Me JA in oe-JMT plants. These results indicate that Os JMT1,by altering levels of JA and related metabolites, plays a role in regulating plant development and herbivore-induced defense responses in rice. | Jinfeng Qi Jiancai Li Xiu Han Ran Li Jianqiang Wu Haixin Yu Lingfei Hu Yutao Xiao Jing Lu Yonggen Lou | 2016 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2016,58,6: | 10

The maximum coseismic vertical surface displacement and surface deformation pattern accompanying the Ms 8.0 Wenchuan earthquake显示文摘The amount of coseismic deformation and its distribution of the Wenchuan earthquake provide important scientific bases for revealing the mechanisms of earthquake preparation and characterizing the rupture propagation of the Wenchuan earthquake. The previous studies have indicated that the earthquake ruptured the middle-to-north segment of the Longmenshan central fault and the middle segment of the Longmenshan range-front fault, which are characterized by two surface rupture zones of 240 km and 90 km in length, respectively. Based on the pre-earthquake information and photos of landforms and buildings obtained through ge-ologic and geomorphic survey of the area around Shaba Village of Beichuan County, Sichuan Province and the extensive interview with local villagers, we measured the displacements of the major terrain features and the dislocated buildings by total station instruments and differential GPS and obtained the maximum vertical displacement of 9±0.5 m and right-lateral displacement of 2±0.5 m around the Zou’s house in Shaba Village. Though the near-surface deformation exhibits a normal faulting around Shaba Village, the dynamic environment has not changed on the whole. The NW wall of the fault uplifted but without gravity gliding as normally occurring on the hanging wall of a normal fault, which proves that the 9±0.5 m displacement should be the maximum coseismic vertical displacement of the May 12, 2008 Ms 8.0 Wenchuan earthquake. | Ran YongKang Shi Xiang Wang Hu Chen LiChun Chen Jie Liu RuiChun Gong Huiling | 2010 | Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,9: | 9
Clinical operational tolerance in liver transplantation:state-of-the-art perspective and future prospects显示文摘BACKGROUND:Liver transplantation is the definite treatment for end-stage liver diseases with satisfactory results. However, untoward effects of life-long immunosuppression prevent the development of alternative strategies to achieve better longterm outcome.Achieving clinical operational tolerance is the ultimate goal.DATA SOURCES:A PubMed and Google Scholar search using terms:'immune tolerance','liver transplantation','clinical trial','operational tolerance' and 'immunosuppression withdrawal' was performed, and relevant articles published in English in the past decade were reviewed.Full-text publications relevant to the field were selected and relevant articles from reference lists were also included.Priority was given to those articles which are relevant to the review.RESULTS:Because of the inherent tolerogenic property, around 20%-30% of liver transplantation recipients develop spontaneous operational tolerance after immunosuppression withdrawal, and the percentage may be even higher in pediatric living donor liver transplantation recipients.Several natural killer and γδT cell related markers have been identified to be associated with the tolerant state in liver transplantation patients.Despite the progress, clinical operational tolerance is still rare in liver transplantation.Reprogramming the recipient immune system by creating chimerism and regulatory cell therapies is among newer promising means to achieve clinical liver transplantation tolerance in the future.CONCLUSION:Although clinical operational tolerance is still rare in liver transplantation recipients, ongoing basic research and collaborative clinical trials may help to decipher the mystery of transplantation tolerance and extend the potential benefits of drug withdrawal to an increasing number of patients in a more predictable fashion. | Xi-Qiang Liu Zhi-Qiu Hu Yao-Fei Pei Ran Tao | 2013 | Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic Diseases International2013,12,1: | 9
Land Subsidence in Xiong’an New Area,China Revealed by InSAR Observations显示文摘In 2017,China’s central government approved the national strategy to build Xiong’an New Area(XNA,100 km southwest to Beijing),which was announced as a'millennium strategy'and a'demo area'for a sustainable, modern, and innovative urban model.Xiong’an will draw in as much as$380 billion investment and is expected to help accelerate the development of the wider Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei(Jingjinji)Area.In this paper, present subsidence in the XNA area is investigated using InSAR observations for the first time. The 24 SAR images acquired by European Space Agency’s Sentinel-1 satellites during the period from June 2017 to July 2018 suggest that in the north of Xiong County, the subsidence rate reaches up to 90 mm/y,which is highly correlated with the exploitation of geothermal drilling. As the construction in the XNA area will significantly accelerate and its high-quality development, the InSAR findings could provide valuable information for future sustainable urban planning and underground infrastructure construction. | Keren DAI Peilian RAN Zhenhong LI Julian AUSTIN Jan-Peter MULLER Qiming ZENG Jingfa ZHANG Leyin HU | 2021 | Journal of Geodesy and Geoinformation Science2021,4,1: | 8
Effects of H pylori infection on gap-junctional intercellular communication and proliferation of gastric epithelial cells in vitro显示文摘AIM: To explore the effects of H pylori infection on gap-junctional intercellular communication (GJIC) and proliferation of gastric epithelial cells in vitro. METHODS: A human gastric epithelial cell line (SGC-7901) cultured on coverslips was exposed overnight to intact H pylori (CagA+ or CagA-strains) and sonicated extracts, respectively. GJIC between the cells was detected by fluorescence redistribution after photobleaching (FRAP) technique. Proliferation of SGC cells was determined by methylthiazolyl tetrazolium (MTT) assay. RESULTS: When compared with control in which cells were cultured with simple medium alone, both CagA+ and CagA-H pylori isolates could inhibit GJIC (CagA+: F = 57.98,P < 0.01; CagA-: F = 29.59,P < 0.01) and proliferation (CagA+: F = 42.65,P < 0.01; CagA-: F = 58.14,P < 0.01) of SGC-7901 cells. Compared with CagA-strains,CagA+ H pylori more significantly down-regulated GJIC of gastric cells (intact H pylori: t = 13.86,P < 0.01; sonicated extracts: t = 11.87,P < 0.01) and inhibited proliferation gastric cells to a lesser extent in vitro (intact H pylori: t = 3.06,P < 0.05; sonicated extracts: t = 3.94,P < 0.01). CONCLUSION: Compared with CagA-H pylori strains,CagA+ strains down-regulate GJIC of gastric epithelia cells more significantly and inhibit proliferation of gastric cells to a lesser extent in vitro . H pylori ,especially CagA+ strains, may play an important role in gastric carcinogenesis. | Ran Tao Miao-Feng Hu Jin-Tu Lou Yong-Liang Lei | 2007 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2007,13,41: | 8
