2Characteristics of ozone and ozone precursors(VOCs and NOx) around a petroleum refinery in Beijing, China显示文摘A field measurement campaign for ozone and ozone precursors(VOCs and NOx) was conducted in summer 2011 around a petroleum refinery in the Beijing rural region. Three observation sites were arranged, one at southwest of the refinery as the background, and two at northeast of the refinery as the downwind receptors. Monitoring data revealed the presence of serious surface O3 pollution with the characteristics of high average daily mean and maximum concentrations(64.0 and 145.4 ppbV in no-rain days, respectively) and multi-peak diurnal variation. For NOx, the average hourly concentrations of NO2 and NO were in the range of 20.5–46.1 and 1.8–6.4 ppbV, respectively. For VOC measurement, a total of 51 compounds were detected. Normally, TVOCs at the background site was only dozens of ppbC, while TVOCs at the downwind sites reached several hundreds of ppbC. By subtracting the VOC concentrations at background, chemical profiles of VOC emission from the refinery were obtained, mainly including alkanes(60.0% ± 4.3%), alkenes(21.1% ± 5.5%) and aromatics(18.9% ± 3.9%). Moreover, some differences in chemical profiles for the same measurement hours were observed between the downwind sites; the volume ratios of alkanes with low reactivity and those of alkenes with high reactivity respectively showed an increasing trend and a decreasing trend. Finally, based on temporal and spatial variations of VOC mixing ratios, their photochemical degradations and dispersion degradations were estimated to be 0.15–0.27 and 0.42–0.62, respectively, by the photochemical age calculation method, indicating stronger photochemical reactions around the refinery.Wei Wei Shuiyuan Cheng Guohao Li Gang Wang Haiyang Wang 2014Journal of Environmental Sciences2014,26,2:36
3Effects of citrus tree-shape and spraying height of small unmanned aerial vehicle on droplet distribution显示文摘In order to explore the droplet penetration of spraying with unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)on citrus trees with different shapes,the tests were carried out at different working heights.The material was five years old Cocktail grapefruit(Citrus paradisi cv.Cocktail)grafted on Trafoliata(Poncirus trifoliata L.Raf.)and the type of UAV sprayer used was the 3W-LWS-Q60S.A solution of 300 times Ponceau 2R diluents liquid instead of pesticide was used for citrus fields spraying and the droplets were collected by paper cards.Droplets deposition parameters were extracted and analyzed using digital image processing after scanning the cards.The results showed that:1)For the trees with round head shape canopy,the droplet depositions of the upper,middle and lower layers had a significant difference at 0.05 level.The droplet deposition had the best effect when the working height was 1.0 m,where the average droplet deposition densities were 39.97 droplets/cm2 and the average droplet size was 0.30 mm,but the droplet coverage(3.19%)was lower than that at the working height of 1.5 m(4.27%).2)Under three different working heights of UAV,the tree with open center shape can obtain higher droplet deposition density at all three layers than that with the round head shape canopy.It was especially prominent when the working height was 1.0 m,as the middle layer increased by 49.92%.However,the higher range of droplet deposition density meant larger fluctuation and dispersion.3)The open center shape canopy and the 1.0 m working height obviously improved the droplet coverage rate and droplet density in the citrus plant.For these parameters of open center shape citrus tree,there was no obvious difference in the front and rear direction,but in the left and middle part of the tree crown,the difference reached a 0.05 significant level.Considering droplet deposition characteristics and the spray uniformity,the UAV performed better when working on open center shape plants at a 1.0 m working height.Zhang Pan Deng Lie Lyu Qiang He Shaolan Yi Shilai Liu Yande Yu Yongxu Pan Haiyang 2016International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2016,9,4:37
4Development of a Haploid-Inducer Mediated Genome Editing System for Accelerating Maize Breeding显示文摘Crop breeding aims to generate pure in bred lines with multiple desired traits. Doubled haploid (DH) and genome editing using CRISPR/Cas9 are two powerful game-changing technologies in crop breeding. However, both of them still fall short for rapid generation of pure elite lines with integrated favorable traits. Here, we report the development of a Haploid-Inducer Mediated Genome Editing (IMGE) approach, which utilizes a maize haploid inducer line carrying a CRISPR/Cas9 cassette targeting for a desired agronomic trait to pollinate an elite maize in bred line and to generate genome-edited haploids in the elite maize background. 8Validation and Characterization of Ghd7.1, a Major Quantitative Trait Locus with Pleiotropic Effects on Spikelets per Panicle, Plant Height, and Heading Date in Rice (Oryza sativa L.)显示文摘A quantitative trait locus(QTL)that affects heading date(HD)and the number of spikelets per panicle(SPP)was previously identifed in a small region on chromosome 7 in rice(Oryza sativa L.).In order to further characterize the QTL region,near isogenic lines(NILs)were quickly obtained by self‐crossing recombinant inbred line 189,which is heterozygous in the vicinity of the target region.The pleiotropic effects of QTL Ghd7.1 on plant height(PH),SPP,and HD,were validated using an NIL‐F2 population.Ghd7.1 explained 50.2%,45.3%,and 76.9% of phenotypic variation in PH,SPP,and HD,respectively.Ghd7.1 was precisely mapped to a 357‐kb region on the basis of analysis of the progeny of the NIL‐F2 population.Day‐length treatment confrmed that Ghd7.1 is sensitive to photoperiod,with long days delaying heading up to 12.5 d.Identifcation of panicle initiation and development for the pair of NILs showed that Ghd7.1 elongated the photoperiod‐sensitive phase more than 10 d,but did not change the basic vegetative phase and the reproductive growth phase.These fndings indicated that Ghd7.1 regulates SPP by controlling the rate of panicle differentiation rather than the duration of panicle development.Touming Liu Haiyang Liu Huang Zhang Yongzhong Xing 2013Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2013,55,10:22
9Kinematic analysis and experiment of planetary five-bar planting mechanism for zero-speed transplanting on mulch film显示文摘A novel seedling transplanting mechanism with planetary five-bar was developed in order to solve some problems when transplanting seedlings on mulch film,such as a large cave diameter,a low proportion of upright seedlings,and inconsistent planting depths,which seriously restrict the development of transplanting equipment used in dryland agriculture.The planetary five-bar structure of transplanting mechanism was designed based on analysis of the seedling transplanter on mulch film.The kinematics model of the transplanting mechanism was established and the optimal parameters of the transplanting mechanism were obtained by satisfying the motion trajectory conditions.Subsequently,the virtual prototype of transplanting mechanism was developed,and the simulation of motion trajectory was illustrated.Finally,the physical prototype of the transplanting mechanism was assembled and tested with the high-speed photography.The simulation results indicated that the desired“spindle”trajectory for the duckbill can be obtained,of which the height was 350 mm,and the diameter of the planting cave was 32 mm.The experimental results showed that the diameter of the planting cave was less than 70 mm,the seedling perpendicularity qualification rate reached 96%,the film injury rate was less than 0.5%,and the hanging membrane phenomenon was avoided.Therefore,the proposed transplanting mechanism can meet the requirements for a mulch-film transplanting machine.Liu Jiaodi Cao Weibin Tian Dongyang Tang Haiyang Zhao Hongzheng 2016International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2016,9,4:20

12Deformation characteristics and safety assessment of a high-speed railway induced by undercutting metro tunnel excavation显示文摘Stratum deformation(settlement) is a challenging issue in tunnel engineering, especially when construction of metro tunnels has to undercut high-speed railway. For this purpose, we used the FLAC30 software to analyze the stratum settlement characteristics of high-speed railway at different crossing angles intersected by metro tunnel, in terms of ground settlement trough, stratum slip line and irregularity of ballastless tracks. According to the evolution of the stratum settlement at different angle regions, an optimized angle is proposed for the actual project design. In order to reduce the influence of stratum settlement on the safety of high-speed railway, an approach of safety assessment is proposed for the shield engineering undercutting high-speed railway, as per Chinese specifications using numerical results and on-site conditions. A case study is conducted for the shield tunnel section crossing the Wuhan-Guangzhou High-speed Railway between the Guangzhou North Railway Station and the Huacheng Road Station, which represents the first metro tunnel project passing below a high-speed railway in China. A series of measures is taken to ensure the safe excavation of the shield tunnel and the operation of the high-speed railway. 14Recent progress of residual stress measurement methods: A review显示文摘Residual stress is one of the main factors affecting the mechanical properties of materials, such as their strength, plasticity and surface integrity. For instance, tensile stress conditions can adversely affect material performance or component life, while compressive stress conditions can improve material fatigue strength. During the processing of integrated aviation structures, machining deformation caused by residual stress has become one of the most prominent manufacturing problems. Therefore, it is very important to measure and evaluate the stress for real applications.This paper reviews the research of residual stress measurement methods over the past five years by classifying them according to the measurement methods appearing in each stage. The existing problems and difficulties of each measurement technology are summarized, and future trends are forecasted. 15Health benefits of traditional Chinese sports and physical activity for older adults: A systematic review of evidence显示文摘Background: Traditional Chinese sports and physical activities(PAs) have a long history and are practiced by millions of Chinese. However,relatively few systematic reviews of the scientific evidence for their health benefits, especially for older Chinese adults, have been undertaken.Evidence acquisition: Between January and March 2016, a systematic search was conducted using the CNKI and Pub Med databases to identify studies published between 2000 and 2015. Studies were selected for review if they were designed specifically to evaluate the health benefits of traditional Chinese sports and PAs in adults aged 50 years and older in the Mainland of China. The studies included observational, uncontrolled,and randomized and controlled designs. Papers published without an English title or abstract were excluded.Evidence synthesis: The initial search identified a total of 229 studies. After removing duplicates and studies that did not meet the inclusion/exclusion criteria, 95 studies were selected for review. Special attention was given to studies of the most commonly practiced activities: Tai Ji Quan,Qigong, and Yangko exercises. A positive association between these types of exercise and health benefits was noted for healthy older adults and those with chronic diseases. Evidence on other types of activities was less clear due to the limited number of studies conducted.Conclusion: There is promising evidence that traditional Chinese sports and PAs provide many health benefits for older Chinese adults. 16Application of novel force control strategies to enhance robotic abrasive belt grinding quality of aero-engine blades显示文摘Robotic belt grinding has emerged as a finishing process in recent years for machining components with high surface finish and flexibility.The surface machining consistency,however,is difficult to be guaranteed in such a process.To overcome this problem,a method of hybrid force-position control combined with PI/PD control is proposed to be applied in robotic abrasive belt grinding of complex geometries.Voltage signals are firstly obtained and transformed to force information with signal conditioning methods.Secondly,zero drift and gravity compensation algorithms are presented to calibrate the F/T transducer which is installed on the robot end-effector.Next,a force control strategy combining hybrid force-position control with PI/PD control is introduced to be employed in robotic abrasive belt grinding operations where the force control law is applied to the Z direction of the tool frame and the positon control law is used in the X direction of the tool frame.Then,the accuracy of the F/T transducer and the robotic force control system is analyzed to ensure the stability and reliability of force control in the robotic grinding process.Finally,two typical cases on robotic belt grinding of a test workpiece and an aero-engine blade are conducted to validate the practicality and effectiveness of the force control technology proposed.Xiaohu XU Dahu ZHU Haiyang ZHANG Sijie YAN Han DING 2019Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2019,32,10:16

19Numerical simulation of gas flow process in mining-induced crack network显示文摘The exploitation of coal bed methane or coal gas is one of the most effective solutions of the problem of coal gas hazard.A better understanding of gas flow in mining-induced cracks plays an important role in comprehensive development and utilization of coal gas as well as prevention of coal gas hazard.This paper presents a case study of gas flow in mining-induced crack network regarding the situation of low permeability of coal seam.A two-dimensional physical model is constructed on the basis of geological background of mining face No.1122(1) in coal seam No.11-2,Zhangji Coal Mine,Huainan Mining Group Corporation.The mining-induced stress and cracks in overburden rocks are obtained by simulating an extraction in physical model.An evolution of mining-induced cracks in the process of advancing of coal mining face is characterized and three typical crack networks are taken from digital photos by means of image analysis.Moreover,the numerical software named COMSOL Multiphysics is employed to simulate the process of gas flow in three representative crack networks.Isograms of gas pressure at various times in mining-induced crack networks are plotted,suggesting a shape and dimension of gas accumulation area.Zhou Hongwei Liu Jinfeng Xue Dongjie Yi Haiyang Xue Junhua 2012International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2012,22,6:14
