| 2 | Detection of the critical micelle concentration of cationic and anionic surfactants based on aggregation-induced emission property of hexaphenylsilole derivatives显示文摘We report a fluorescence 'turn-on' method to detect the critical micelle concentration (CMC) of surfactants. This method works well for both cationic and anionic surfactants. It employs an unprecedented mechanism (aggregation-induced emission, or AIE) to determine the CMC values, and the results are consistent with the data obtained by the classical techniques. In addition, this method renders the convenient detection of the CMC values. Any large and professional instruments are unnecessary, instead, a portable UV lamp and an ultrasonic generator are enough to carry out the detection in an ordinary laboratory. Considering that micelles are interesting entities and have found applications in many important fields such as emulsion polymerization, template of nanosized materials synthesis, controllable drug delivery and macromolecular self-assembling. | 5 | First experimental constraints on WIMP couplings in the effective field theory framework from CDEX显示文摘We present weakly interacting massive particles(WIMPs) search results performed using two approaches of effective field theory from the China Dark Matter Experiment(CDEX), based on the data from both CDEX-1B and CDEX-10 stages. In the nonrelativistic effective field theory approach, both time-integrated and annual modulation analyses were used to set new limits for the coupling of WIMP-nucleon effective operators at 90% confidence level(C.L.) and improve over the current bounds in the low mχregion. In the chiral effective field theory approach, data from CDEX-10 were used to set an upper limit on WIMP-pion coupling at 90% C.L. | 7 | Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) Composite Membrane Fabricated on the Inner Surface of a Ceramic Hollow Fiber: From Single-Channel to Multi-Channel显示文摘The fabrication of a separation layer on the inner surface of a hollow fiber (HF) substrate to form an HF composite membrane offers exciting opportunities for industrial applications, although challenges remain. This work reports on the fabrication of a polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) composite membrane on the inner surface of a single-channel or multi-channel ceramic HF via a proposed coating/crossflow approach. The nanostructures and transport properties of the PDMS HF composite membranes were optimized by controlling the polymer concentration and coating time. The morphology, surface chemistry, interfacial adhesion, and separation performance of the membranes were characterized by fieldemission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM), attenuated total reflection Fourier-transform infrared (ATR-FTIR) spectroscopy, the nano-indentation/scratch technique, and pervaporation (PV) recovery of bio-butanol, respectively. The formation mechanism for the deposition of the PDMS layer onto the inner surface of the ceramic HF was studied in detail. The optimized inner surface of the PDMS/ceramic HF composite membranes with a thin and defect-free separation layer exhibited a high flux of ~1800 gm-2h-1 and an excellent separation factor of 35–38 for 1 wt% n-butanol/water mixtures at 60 C. | 17 | Construction method of quantitative evaluation model for the maturity of Korla fragrant pear显示文摘The maturity variation laws of Korla fragrant pears were explored for a quantitative evaluation of harvest maturity to solve the reasonable matching between harvest maturity of Korla fragrant pears and market quality demands.Korla fragrant pears from different harvesting periods were chosen as the research objects.Some quality indexes were chosen as the evaluation indexes per industry standards,including hardness,soluble solid content(SSC),single-fruit weight,fruit longitudinal diameter,fruit equatorial diameter,pericarp color parameters(L*,a*,and b*),and titratable acid.Variation data of these quality indexes with accumulated temperature were collected.Scores of several quality indexes were gained through principal component analysis.A mathematical model of scores and accumulated temperatures was constructed.On this basis,a quantitative maturity model of Korla fragrant pears was constructed.Results demonstrate that SSC,single-fruit weight,fruit longitudinal diameter,fruit equatorial diameter,L*,a*,and b*are significantly and positively correlated with the accumulated temperature.Meanwhile,hardness and titratable acid showed significant negative correlations with the accumulated temperature.Relations between scores of principal components and accumulated temperature conform to the Sigmoidal model.The constructed quantitative maturity model of Korla fragrant pears can quantify the maturity of pears.Research conclusions can provide insight into the harvest periods,evaluate Korla fragrant pears’maturity,and lay a theoretical foundation for quantitative research on fruit maturity. | Shihui Yu Yurong Tang Haipeng Lan Xiaolong Li Hong Zhang Yong Zeng Hao Niu Xiaozhen Jin Yang Liu | 2022 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2022,15,4: | 0 |
| 18 | Performances of a prototype point-contact germanium detector immersed in liquid nitrogen for light dark matter search显示文摘The CDEX-10 experiment searches for light weakly interacting massive particles, a form of dark matter, at the China Jinping Underground Laboratory, where approximately 10 kg of germanium detectors are arranged in an array and immersed in liquid nitrogen. Herein, we report on the experimental apparatus, detector characterization, and spectrum analysis of one prototype detector. Owing to the higher rise-time resolution of the CDEX-10 prototype detector as compared with CDEX-1 B, we identified the origin of an observed category of extremely fast events. For data analysis of the CDEX-10 prototype detector, we introduced and applied an improved bulk/surface event discrimination method. The results of the new method were compared to those of the CDEX-1 B spectrum. | 19 | Comprehensive evaluation of Korla fragrant pears and optimization of plucking time during the harvest period显示文摘To optimize the harvest of Korla fragrant pears and to provide a theoretical basis for post-harvest processing,a total of 26 basic indices of Korla fragrant pears,including their morphology,quality,and softening age,were investigated.The harvest period ranged from August 22nd to October 6th,samples were collected every 5 d(totally 10 plucking days,indicated as H1-H10).The results indicated that changes in pectin content were the main causes of softening in fragrant pears.The scavenging of free radicals mainly occurred because of the collaborative effects of superoxide dismutase(SOD)and catalase(CAT).In the harvest periods H1-H3,the hardness,titratable acid(TA),chlorophyll content,density,and diameter of the stone cells,as well as the cellulose and hemicellulose content of the Korla fragrant pears were at their highest.During the periods H7-H10,the single-fruit weight,fruit horizontal and vertical diameter,color coordinates L,a*,b*,soluble-solids content(SSC),SOD activity,CAT activity,and water-soluble pectin were higher than in the other plucking periods.The highest vitamin C(VC)content and moderate values for a variety of indicators were observed during H3-H7.Variations in the Korla fragrant pears during H1-H3 mainly manifested through changes in softening-related parameters.During H3-H10,changes in the softening-related,aging-related,color-related,and quality indices had a dominant role.On this basis,some suggestions for the post-harvest processing of fragrant pears have been proposed.Fruit,during H1-H3,are suitable for transportation and storage;during H7-H10 are suitable for fresh-eating and further processing;and during H3-H7,exhibited moderate values for a variety of indicators and had the highest commercial value.This research provides a systematic evaluation of the characteristics of mature Korla fragrant pears during the harvest period and can form the basis for fruit quality control and processing of Korla fragrant pears. | Zhentao Wang Yurong Tang Xiaozhen Jin Yang Liu Hong Zhang Hao Niu Haipeng Lan | 2022 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2022,15,3: | 0 |
| 20 | Effect of Cu loading content on the catalytic performance of Cu-USY catalysts for selective catalytic reduction of NO with NH_(3)显示文摘Series of Cu-USY zeolite catalyst with different Cu loading content were synthesized through simple impregnation method.The obtained catalysts were subjected to selective catalytic reduction of NOxwith NH_(3)(NH_(3)-SCR) performance evaluation,structural/chemical characterizations such as X-ray diffraction (XRD),N2adsorption/desorption,H_(2)temperature-programmed reduction (H_(2)-TPR),NH_(3)temperature-programmed desorption (NH_(3)-TPD) as well as detailed in situ diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy (DRIFTS) experiments including CO adsorption,NH_(3)adsorption and NO+O_(2)in situ reactions.Results show that Cu-USY with proper Cu loading (in this work 5Cu-USY with5 wt.%Cu) could be promising candidates with highly efficient NH_(3)-SCR catalytic performance,relatively low byproduct formation and excellent hydrothermal stability,although its SO_(2)poisoning tolerability needs alleviation.Further characterizations reveal that such catalytic advantages can be attributed to both active cu species and surface acid centers evolution modulated by Cu loading.On one hand,Cu species in the super cages of zeolites increases with higher Cu content and being more conducive for NH_(3)-SCR reactivity.On the other hand,higher Cu loading leads to depletion of Br?nsted acid centers and simultaneous formation of abundant Lewis acid centers,which facilitates NH_(4)NO_(3)reduction via NH_(3)adsorbed on Lewis acid centers,thus improving SCR reactivity.However,Cu over-introduction leads to formation of surface highly dispersed CuOx,causing unfavorable NH_(3)oxidation and inferior N2selectivity. | Jie Wan Haipeng Yang Yijun Shi Yanjun Liu Jin Zhang Jun Zhang Gongde Wu Renxian Zhou | 2023 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,4: | 0 |
