Development and application of mechanized maize harvesters显示文摘Maize harvesting is one of the most important filed operations of maize production. As the accelerating development of maize industry, mechanized maize harvesting is widely accepted and used by farmers in the world.According to the harvesting methods, maize harvesters could be classified into two types, one is maize-for-grain harvesters, including pickers and grain harvesters, the other is whole plant harvesters, including forage harvesters and combined grain-stover harvesters.Structure characteristics, appropriate areas and relative technologies of those harvesters are described in this paper,i.e.,pickers are suitable for multi-crop areas,Grain harvesters are mainly for one-crop areas when grain moisture content is lower than 25%,combined grain-stover harvesters are applicable in agro-pastoral ecotone, and forage harvesters are capable in large-scaled animal husbandry farming areas where large amount of silage are required.Meanwhile, the future development trend of the different harvesters is predicted.Big horsepower engines, enhanced working efficiency, automation and intelligence are required by large scaled farms. As maize breeding development, more varieties that are suitable for grain harvesting are put into practice,so grain combine harvesters will be popular in future. | Yang Li Cui Tao Qu Zhe Li Kehong Yin Xiaowei Han Dandan Yan Bingxin Zhao Dongyue Zhang Dongxing | 2016 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2016,9,3: | 13
Reinforcement Learning-Based Joint Task Offloading and Migration Schemes Optimization in Mobility-Aware MEC Network显示文摘Intelligent edge computing carries out edge devices of the Internet of things(Io T) for data collection, calculation and intelligent analysis, so as to proceed data analysis nearby and make feedback timely. Because of the mobility of mobile equipments(MEs), if MEs move among the reach of the small cell networks(SCNs), the offloaded tasks cannot be returned to MEs successfully. As a result, migration incurs additional costs. In this paper, joint task offloading and migration schemes in mobility-aware Mobile Edge Computing(MEC) network based on Reinforcement Learning(RL) are proposed to obtain the maximum system revenue. Firstly, the joint optimization problems of maximizing the total revenue of MEs are put forward, in view of the mobility-aware MEs. Secondly, considering time-varying computation tasks and resource conditions, the mixed integer non-linear programming(MINLP) problem is described as a Markov Decision Process(MDP). Then we propose a novel reinforcement learning-based optimization framework to work out the problem, instead traditional methods. Finally, it is shown that the proposed schemes can obviously raise the total revenue of MEs by giving simulation results. | Dongyu Wang Xinqiao Tian Haoran Cui Zhaolin Liu | 2020 | China Communications2020,17,8: | 7
DDIT4 mediates the proliferation-promotive effect of IL-34 in human monocytic leukemia cells显示文摘Interleukin 34(IL-34)is a cytokine that shares the receptor with colony-stimulating factor 1(CSF-1).IL-34 is involved in a broad range of pathologic processes including cancer. We previously demonstrated that IL-34 promoted the proliferation and colony formation of human acute monocytic leukemia(AMoL)cells. However, the mechanism has not been elucidated. Here,by analyzing the gene profiles of Molm13 and THP1 cells overexpressing IL-34(Molm13-IL-34 and THP1-IL-34),upregulation of the DNA damageinducible transcript 4(DDIT4)was detected in both series.Knockdown of DDIT4 effectively inhibited the proliferation, promoted apoptosis and colony formation in Molm13-IL-34 and THP1-IL-34 cells. Our results suggest that DDIT4 mediates the proliferationpromotive effect of IL-34 whereas does not mediate the promotive effect of IL-34 on colony formation in AMoL cells. | Xiaoqian Lv Yuting Hu Lina Wang Dongyue Zhang Hao Wang Yibo Dai Xiaoxi Cui Guoguang Zheng | 2021 | Blood Science2021,3,2: | 2
Uncovering the dominant contribution of intermediate volatility compounds in secondary organic aerosol formation from biomass-burning emissions显示文摘Organic vapors from biomass burning are a major source of secondary organic aerosols(SOAs).Previous smog chamber studies found that the SOA contributors in biomass-burning emissions are mainly volatile organic compounds(VOCs).While intermediate volatility organic compounds(IVOCs)are efficient SOA precursors and contribute a considerable fraction of biomass-burning emissions, their contribution to SOA formation has not been directly observed. Here,by deploying a newly-developed oxidation flow reactor to study SOA formation from wood burning,we find that IVOCs can contribute ~70 %of the formed SOA,i.e.>2 times more than VOCs.This previously missing SOA fraction is interpreted to be due to the high wall losses of semi-volatile oxidation products of IVOCs in smog chambers. The finding in this study reveals that SOA production from biomass burning is much higher than previously thought, and highlights the urgent need for more research on the IVOCs from biomass burning and potentially other emission sources. | Kun Li Jun Zhang David M.Bell Tiantian Wang Houssni Lamkaddam Tianqu Cui Lu Qi Mihnea Surdu Dongyu Wang Lin Du Imad El Haddad Jay G.Slowik Andre S.H.Prevot | 2024 | National Science Review2024,11,3: | 0
Intraspecific variation in shoot flammability in Dracophyllum rosmarinifolium is not predicted by habitat environmental conditions显示文摘Background:Flammability is a compound plant trait that can vary significantly across natural populations within species.Investigating intraspecific variation in flammability provides insights into the evolution of plant flam-mability and inform understanding of wildfire risk and behaviour in different habitats. Methods:We measured four flammability variables, representing ignitibility(time to ignition),sustainability(total burning time),combustibility(maximum temperature during burning)and consumability(percentage of biomass consumed by fire)to assess the shoot-level flammability of Dracophyllum rosmarinifolium(G.Forst.)(Ericaceae),a polymorphic endemic species distributed throughout New Zealand. We examined the relationship between flammability components and a suite of climatic and geographic variables(elevation, latitude, mean annual temperature(MAT),mean annual rainfall(MAR)of the sample locations,etc.).Results:We measured shoot-level flammability components of 62 individuals across eight populations.Burning time, maximum temperature and burnt biomass were positively correlated with each other, while ignition score was independent of other flammability components. All flammability components varied significantly across the eight populations. The habitat conditions we considered were not related to any of the shoot-level flammability components of D.rosmarinifolium.Conclusions:Intraspecific variation in flammability in D.rosmarinifolium may be a byproduct of selection on other functional traits, such as leaf size, shoot lipid content, indicating that plant flammability is an incidental result, rather than selected for,at least in ecosystems without fire as a selective force. | Xinglei Cui Adrian M.Paterson George LW.Perry Sarah V.Wyse Md Azharul Alam Congde Huang Shixing Zhou Lin Xiao Changhong Lai Fang He Dongyu Cao Kate Marshall Timothy J.Curran | 2022 | Forest Ecosystems2022,9,2: | 0
Moving policy and regulation forward for single-use plastic alternatives显示文摘Single-use plastics are often used once or cannot be reused for extended periods. They are widely consumed with the rapid development of social economy. The waste generated by single-use plastics threatens ecosystem health by entering the environment and ultimately restricts sustainable human development. The innovation of sustainable and environmentally friendly single-use plastic alternative materials and the joint participation of governments, enterprises and the public are promising technologies and management approaches that can solve the problem of single-use plastics wastes. The development of single-use plastic alternative products can be promoted fundamentally only by improving relevant legislation and standards, providing differentiated industrial policies, encouraging scientific and technological innovation and expanding public participation. | Wenbing Tan Dongyu Cui Beidou Xi | 2021 | Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2021,15,3: | 0
RSPSSL:A novel high-fidelity Raman spectral preprocessing scheme to enhance biomedical applications and chemical resolution visualization显示文摘Raman spectroscopy has tremendous potential for material analysis with its molecular fingerprinting capability in many branches of science and technology. It is also an emerging omics technique for metabolic profiling to shape precision medicine. However, precisely attributing vibration peaks coupled with specific environmental, instrumental, and specimen noise is problematic.Intelligent Raman spectral preprocessing to remove statistical bias noise and sample-related errors should provide a powerful tool for valuable information extraction. Here,we propose a novel Raman spectral preprocessing scheme based on self-supervised learning(RSPSSL)with high capacity and spectral fidelity. It can preprocess arbitrary Raman spectra without further training at a speed of~1900 spectra per second without human interference. The experimental data preprocessing trial demonstrated its excellent capacity and signal fidelity with an 88%reduction in root mean square error and a 60%reduction in infinite norm({L}_{{\infty}})compared to established techniques. With this advantage,it remarkably enhanced various biomedical applications with a 400%accuracy elevation(ΔAUC)in cancer diagnosis,an average 38%(few-shot)and 242%accuracy improvement in paraquat concentration prediction, and unsealed the chemical resolution of biomedical hyperspectral images, especially in the spectral fingerprint region. It precisely preprocessed various Raman spectra from different spectroscopy devices, laboratories, and diverse applications. This scheme will enable biomedical mechanism screening with the label-free volumetric molecular imaging tool on organism and disease metabolomics profiling with a scenario of high throughput,cross-device,various analyte complexity, and diverse applications. | Jiaqi Hu Gina Jinna Chen Chenlong Xue Pei Liang Yanqun Xiang Chuanlun Zhang Xiaokeng Chi Guoying Liu Yanfang Ye Dongyu Cui De Zhang Xiaojun yu Hong Dang Wen Zhang Junfan Chen Quan Tang Penglai Guo Ho-Pui Ho Yuchao Li Longqing Cong Perry Ping Shum | 2024 | Light(Science & Applications)2024,13,2: | 0
Region-gridding recycling of bulk organic waste: Emerging views based on coordinated urban and rural development显示文摘Bulk organic waste(BOW)has a large outputin China. The improper disposal of BOW will not onlybring serious environmental pollution, but also cause wasteof biomass resources. The viewpoint proposes a region-gridding recycling management system of BOW thathighlights the coordinated development of environmental, agricultural and energy elements in urban and rural areas. The viewpoint aims to drive the upstream and downstreamindustrial chains of BOW treatments, avoid the repeatedconstruction of resource facilities, guide the upgrading ofresource-based technologies, promote the professionaliza-tion of farmers, and thus built the high-quality modernagricultural recycling industrial park based on systemmanagement. | Wenbing Tan Dongyu Cui Xiaohui Zhang Beidou Xi | 2020 | Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2020,14,6: | 0
In situ identification of environmental microorganisms with Raman spectroscopy显示文摘Microorganisms in natural environments are crucial in maintaining the material and energy cycle and the ecological balance of the environment. However,it is challenging to delineate environmental microbes'actual metabolic pathways and intraspecific heterogeneity because most microorganisms cannot be cultivated.Raman spectroscopy is a culture-independent technique that can collect molecular vibration profiles from cells. It can reveal the physiological and biochemical information at the single-cell level rapidly and non-destructively in situ. The first part of this review introduces the principles, advantages, progress, and analytical methods of Raman spectroscopy applied in environmental microbiology. The second part summarizes the applications of Raman spectroscopy combined with stable isotope probing(SIP),fluorescence in situ hybridization(FISH),Raman-activated cell sorting and genomic sequencing, and machine learning in microbiological studies. Finally, this review discusses expectations of Raman spectroscopy and future advances to be made in identifying microorganisms, especially for uncultured microorganisms. | Dongyu Cui Lingchao Kong Yi Wang Yuanqing Zhu Chuanlun Zhang | 2022 | Environmental Science and Ecotechnology2022,,3: | 0
