2Circular RNA ubiquitin-associated protein 2 enhances autophagy and promotes colorectal cancer progression and metastasis via miR-582-5p/FOXO1 signaling显示文摘Numerous circular RNAs(circ RNAs) have been identified as vital regulators in various cancers. The newly reported circular RNA ubiquitin-associated protein 2(circ UBAP2) is a critical player in cell growth and metastasis in various types of cancers, although its role in colorectal cancer(CRC) has yet to be fully elucidated. We find that circ UBAP2 is upregulated in CRC tissues and cell lines to induce autophagy both in vitro and in vivo. The effects of circ UBAP2 on migration, invasion, and proliferation may be partially related to autophagy. Mechanistically, we uncover that circ UBAP2 can directly interact with mi R-582-5 p and subsequently act as a micro RNA sponge to regulate the expression of the mi R-582-5 p target gene forkhead box protein O1(FOXO1) and downstream signaling molecules, which collectively advance the progression and metastasis of CRC. 3Scientific literature addressing brain glioma in the Web of Science A 10-year bibliometric analysis显示文摘Brain glioma is a hot topic in recent years; however, brain glioma remains poorly understood. A bibliometric analysis based on the Science Citation Index (SCI) published by the Institute of Scientific Information (ISI) was performed to identify the global research and to improve the understanding of research trends in the brain glioma field from 2001 to 2010. During 2001 to 2010, there were 8 413 papers addressing brain glioma added to the SCI, and this trend is increasing annually. Of these reports, 6 945 papers are written in English. Journals published in the United States had the most papers, including ten core source titles. The Journal of Neuro-Oncology published the most articles followed by Cancer Research. Furthermore, the University of California, San Francisco, is the most productive institution for publishing articles in the brain glioma field. 4Investigation of calcium phosphate (CaP) tribofilms from commercial automatic transmission fluids (ATFs) and their correlation with antishudder performance显示文摘The friction properties of wet clutches are highly dependent on the surface tribofilms formed by automatic transmission fluids (ATFs). Here, four commercial ATFs were evaluated with a disc-on-disc tribometer to study tribofilm formation on steel surfaces and the effects of tribofilms on the friction properties. The chemical composition, stoichiometry, structure, and thickness of the tribofilms were investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray spectrometry (EDX), secondary ion mass spectrometry (SIMS), and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). Calcium phosphate (CaP) tribofilms form on the friction surface with all ATFs, which contributes to their antishudder characteristics. 7RNA-binding protein QKI regulates contact inhibition via Yes-associate protein in ccRCC显示文摘Contact inhibition adjusts organ size to the proper size and ensures the cultured cells growing to a monolayer.By regulating the downstream coordinator YAP,the evolutionarily conserved Hippo transduction pathway attunes cell growth and death in response to cell contact inhibition,polarity,self-renewal,and differentiation.Dysregulation of this pathway is involved in various diseases such as cancer.RNA-binding protein QKI regulates cell proliferation,metabolism,division,and immunity in various cancer models,but its role in cancer cell contact inhibition remains unclear.In this study,we aimed to clarify the relationship between QKI and YAP,and the role of their interaction in cell contact inhibition.We found a lower QKI expression level in sparse condition,whereas a higher expression level in confluent condition by western blot analysis and immunofluorescence assay.QKI knockdown elevated cell proliferation and invasion both in vitro and in vivo.Strikingly,the results of CCK-8 assay,colony formation assay,and transwell assay showed that the phenomenon was in accord with the expression level of pYAP and reverse with YAP.Higher levels of Wnt3a and β-catenin were also found in xenografts of QKI-knockdown clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) CAKI-1 cells by western blot analysis and immumohistochemical staining.Finally,a positive correlation between QKI and pYAP was found in clinical specimens by immunohistochemistry.Thus,as a negative regulator of YAP,QKI attuned the cell contact inhibition,leading to inhibition of cancer cell proliferation and invasion through Wnt and GPCR pathway.Zheng Zhu Di Wei Xi'an Li Fuli Wang Fei Yan Zibao Xing Zhao Yan Huanyu Lu Dongsheng Zhai Ziehen Ye Geng Zhang Ping Meng Yu Zheng Jiarui Yuan Zifan Lu Jianlin Yuan 2019Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2019,51,1:2
