1Identification of coastal wetlands of international importance for waterbirds:a review of China Coastal Waterbird Surveys 2005–2013显示文摘Background:China's coastal wetlands belong to some of the most threatened ecosystems worldwide.The loss and degradation of these wetlands seriously threaten waterbirds that depend on wetlands.Methods:The China Coastal Waterbird Census was organized by volunteer birdwatchers in China's coastal region.Waterbirds were surveyed synchronously once every month at 14 sites,as well as irregularly at a further 18 sites,between September 2005 and December 2013.Results:A total of 75 species of waterbirds met the 1 % population level Ramsar listing criterion at least once at one site.The number of birds of the following species accounted for over 20 % of the total flyway populations at a single site:Mute Swan(Cygnus olor),Siberia Crane(Grus leucogeranus),Far Eastern Oystercatcher(Haematopus osculans),Bar-tailed Godwit(Limosa lapponica),Spotted Greenshank(Tringa guttifer),Great Knot(Calidris tenuirostris),Spoon-billed Sandpiper(Calidris pygmeus),Saunders' s Gull(Larus saundersi),Relict Gull(Larus relictus),Great Cormorant(Phalacrocorax carbo),Eurasian Spoonbill(Platalea leucorodia),Black-faced Spoonbill(Platalea minor) and Dalmatian Pelican(Pelecanus crispus).A total of 26 sites supported at least one species of which their number met the1 % criterion.Forty-two species met the 1 % criterion in the Yellow River Delta,Shandong;29 at the Cangzhou coast,Hebei and 26 species at the Lianyungang coast,Jiangsu.Conclusions:The results highlight the international importance of China's coastal wetlands for waterbirds.This study also demonstrates that participation of local birdwatchers in waterbird surveys results in data that are invaluable not only for understanding the current status of waterbirds in China's coastal regions but also for waterbird conservation and management.Qingquan Bai Jianzhong Chen Zhihong Chen Guotai Dong Jiangtian Dong Wenxiao Dong Vivian Wing Kan Fu Yongxiang Han Gang Lu Jing Li Yang Liu Zhi Lin Derong Meng Jonathan Martinez Guanghui Ni Kai Shan Renjie Sun Suixing Tian Fengqin Wang Zhiwei Xu Yat-tung Yu Jin Yang Zhidong Yang Lin Zhang Ming Zhang Xiangwu Zeng 2015Chinese Birds2015,,3:20
2Fixed-length roof cutting with vertical hydraulic fracture based on the stress shadow effect:A case study显示文摘Pre-driven longwall retracement roadway(PLRR)is commonly used in large mine shaft.The support crushing disasters occur frequently during the retracement,and roof management is necessary.Taking the 31107 panel as research background,the roof breaking structure of PLRR is analyzed.It is concluded that the roof cutting with vertical hydraulic fracture(HF)at a specified position,that is,fixed-length roof cutting,can reduce support load and keep immediate roof intact.The extended finite element method(XFEM)is applied to simulate hydraulic fracturing.The results show that both the axial and transverse hydraulic fracturing cannot effectively create vertical HFs.Therefore,a novel construction method of vertical HF based on the stress shadow effect(SSE)is proposed.The stress reversal region and HF orientation caused by the prefabricated hydraulic fracture(PF)are verified in simulation.The sub-vertical HFs are obtained between two PFs,the vertical extension range of which is much larger than that of directional hydraulic fracturing.The new construction method was used to determine the field plan for fixed-length roof cutting.The roof formed a stable suspended structure and deformation of the main PLRR was improved after hydraulic fracturing.Feiteng Zhang Xiangyu Wang Jianbiao Bai Wenda Wu Bowen Wu Guanghui Wang 2022International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2022,32,2:4

4Prediction on Carbon/Carbon Composites Ablative Performance by Artificial Neutral Net显示文摘A preliminary estimation of ablation property for carbon-carbon composites by artificial neutral net (ANN) method was presented.It was found that the carbon-carbon composites' density,degree of graphitization and the sort of matrix are the key controlling factors for its ablative performance.Then,a brief fuzzy mathe- matical relationship was established between these factors and ablative performance.Through experiments, the performance of the ANN was evaluated,which was used in the ablative performance prediction of C/C composites.When the training set,the structure and the training parameter of the net change,the best match ratio of these parameters was achieved.Based on the match ratio,this paper forecasts and evalu- ates the carbon-carbon ablation performance.Through experiences,the ablative performance prediction of carbon-carbon using ANN can achieve the line ablation rate,which satisfies the need of precision of practical engineering fields.Guanghui BAI Songhe MENG Boming ZHANG Yang LIU 2008Journal of Materials Science & Technology2008,24,6:1

12Mechanical Properties of the Cured Laminates on the Hot-press Tackified Preforms in Vacuum Assisted Resin Transfer Molding显示文摘A hot-press tackified preform was used to improve the uniformity of the laminates thickness and the mechanical properties of the obtained laminates were studied using vacuum assisted resin transfer molding(VARTM). Two modified preforms were prepared under 0.1 and 0.6 MPa in an autoclave and then were used to fabricate the laminates via VARTM. Permeability and thickness distribution of the laminates were obtained by using a special device. Moreover, the tensile and compressive strengths of the obtained laminates were studied and compared with the unmodified ones. Results show that the tackified laminates present a maximum and minimum thickness under 0.1 and 0.6 MPa, respectively. The thicknesses and in-plane permeability of the tackified laminates, with better thickness uniformity, are significantly decreased compared with that of the unmodified cases, while the tensile and compressive strengths of the tackified laminates are improved obviously. 13QB50 Project and the Development of Cube Sat Technology in China显示文摘The Cube Sat refers to the low-cost nano satellite produced by international standards. The QB50 project is 'an International Network of 50 double Cube Sats for multi-point, in-situ, long-duration measurements in the lower thermosphere and re-entry research'. There are 23 countries and region participated in the QB50 Project. 38 Cube Sats were developed and launched. Among them, four Cube Sats developed by Chinese universities were sent to orbit(Three were deployed from the International Space Station, and one was launched by the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle, PLSV). They are Aoxiang-1(Northwestern Polytechnical University, the Asia coordinator), Lilac Sat-1(Harbin Institute of Technology), NJUST-2(Nanjing University of Science and Technology) and NUDTsat(National University of Defense Technology). Through the development of the QB50 Project, Chinese researchers and students got in touch with the concept of Cube Sat and gained experience of international scientific cooperation. A lot of students took part in the assembly, integration, and test of spacecraft, which is helpful to the training of space talents. 14Numerical and experimental investigation of aerodynamic heat control of leading edge of hypersonic vehicle's flexible skin显示文摘In this paper,a flexible skin inspired by the sudoriferous gland structure of human skin is developed for ultra-thermal protection of hypersonic morphing vehicles.The effect of different coolants and cooling flow rates on the cooling performance of the leading edge is studied using finite element analysis.A wind tunnel experiment is conducted at high temperatures with the heat flux Q=700 k W/m2,and the results indicate the following:(1)the flexible skin can effectively reduce the surface temperature of hypersonic vehicles;(2)when using liquid water instead of argon as the cooling medium,the cooling efficiency of flexible skin performs better;(3)when liquid water is used as the cooling medium,the cooling effect peaks at a flow rate of 0.01 m/s,and further increasing the flow rate will not benefit cooling efficiency significantly;(4)the flexible skin can withstand extreme thermal environments,demonstrating its feasibility in applications of over-limit thermal protection for hypersonic morphing vehicles.This study aims at optimizing the cooling performance of the flexible skin for ultra-thermal protection.The proposed skin can overcome the heat-resistance limit of flexible materials with morphing properties,laying a theoretical and experimental foundation for its future applications in hypersonic morphing vehicles.Xiaozhou LU Chao YUAN Weimin BAO Guanghui BAI Fancheng MENG 2022Science China(Information Sciences)2022,65,10:1
15Optimization of PCR System in EST-SSR Analysis of Phytophthora infestans显示文摘Late blight caused by the oomycete Phytophthora infestans Montagne de Bary is a devastating disease on potato production. A total of six parameters affecting the PCR system in P. infestans were investigated based on the template DNA of the isolate HH06-23 and EST-SSR primer pair Pi08N. The results showed that the optimal annealing temperature was 63℃, and the optimum PCR system of EST-SSR was 25 ng template DNA, 0.5 mmol·L-1 dNTPs, 2 μL 10×Buffer (Mg 2+ free), 1.75 mmol·L-1 MgCl 2 , 15 pmol primer, and 1.2 U Taq DNA polymerase in total 20 μL reaction system. The PCR program was initial denaturation at 94℃ for 2 min, followed by 35 cycles of 94℃ for 30 s, 63℃ for 30 s, and 72℃ for 30 s, then a final extension step was 72℃ for 7 min, and held at 4℃. In addition, using the optimal PCR system, a total of 20 isolates of P. infestans were used for testing the stability and polymorphism of the PCR amplification. 16New insights into the dispersion history and adaptive evolution of taxon Aegilops tauschii in China显示文摘Aegilops tauschii,the wild progenitor of wheat D-genome and a valuable germplasm for wheat improvement,has a wide natural distribution from eastern Turkey to China.However,the phylogenetic relationship and dispersion history of Ae.tauschii in China has not been scientifically clarified.In this study,we genotyped 208 accessions(with 104 in China)using dd RAD sequencing and 55K SNP array,and classified the population into six sublineages.Three possible spreading routes or events were identified,resulting in specific distribution patterns,with four sublineages found in Xinjiang,one in Qinghai,two in Shaanxi and one in Henan.We also established the correlation of SNP-based,karyotypebased and spike-morphology-based techniques to demonstrate the internal classification of Ae.tauschii,and developed consensus dataset with 1245 putative accessions by merging data previously published.Our analysis suggested that eight inter-lineage accessions could be assigned to the putative Lineage 3and these accessions would help to conserve the genetic diversity of the species.By developing the consensus phylogenetic relationships of Ae.tauschii,our work validated the hypothesis on the dispersal history of Ae.tauschii in China,and contributed to the efficient and comprehensive germplasm-mining of the species.Hao Li Fang Nie Lele Zhu Menghua Mu Ruixiao Fan Jingyao Li Aaqib Shaheen Yifan Liu Can Li Wenjuan Liu Huihui Liang Xinpeng Zhao Shenglong Bai Guanghui Guo Zheng Li Yiheng Hu Yuannian Jiao Jonathan Adams Assaf Distelfeld Guiling Sun Suoping Li Yun Zhou Chun-Peng Song 2022Journal of Genetics and Genomics2022,49,3:0
17Fault Detection Based on FIR Filters with Variable Discount Factors for Industrial Robot Drive Systems显示文摘To enhance dynamic tracking performance and anti-disturbance capacity of finite impulse response(FIR) filters, variable discount factors are introduced to the recursive least squares(RLS) algorithm. By employing improved FIR filters to conduct modelling of industrial robot drive systems, dynamic characteristics of the target systems are identified. Then the fault detection for a target system can be utilized by analyzing the coefficients of the FIR filter. Finally, an application of the fault detection scheme to a kind of brushless DC motor drive system is described. 18Introgression of QTL from Aegilops tauschii enhances yield-related traits in common wheat显示文摘To break the narrow diversity bottleneck of the wheat D genome, a set of Aegilops tauschii-wheat introgression(A-WI) lines was developed by crossing Ae. tauschii accession T015 with common wheat elite cultivar Zhoumai 18(Zhou18). A high-density genetic map was constructed based on Single Nucleotide Polymorphism(SNP) markers and 15 yield-related traits were evaluated in 11 environments for detecting quantitative trait loci(QTL). A total of 27 environmentally stable QTL were identified in at least five environments, 20 of which were derived from Ae. tauschii T015, explaining up to 24.27% of the phenotypic variations. The major QTL for kernel length(KL), QKl-2D.5, was delimited to a physical interval of approximately 2.6 Mb harboring 52 candidate genes. Three Kompetitive Allele Specific PCR(KASP)markers were successfully developed based on nonsynonymous nucleotide mutations of candidate gene AetT093_2Dv1G100900.1 and showed that A-WI lines with the T015 haplotype had significantly longer KL than the Zhou18 haplotype across all 11 environments. Four primary valuable A-WIs with good trait performance and carrying yield-related QTL were selected for breeding improvement.
