1Chromosomal-level genome of macadamia(Macadamia integrifolia)显示文摘Macadamia from the family Proteaceae is a plant native to Australia and has long been favoured by people for its crispy and high nutritional and medicinal value.Here,the genome of GUIRE 1(GR1),a highly heterozygous superior cultivar of macadamia nut,was sequenced and assembled using nanopore sequencing,and a 807-Mb genome(contig N50,1.9 Mb;scaffold N50,54.70 Mb)and 14 chromosomes were obtained.A total of 453 Mb(about 55.95%)repetitive sequences and 37,657 protein-coding genes were obtained by gene annotation and homologous protein comparison.Proteaceae diverged from Nelumbonaceae nearly 115.37 million years ago and from Rubiaceae about 140 million years ago.A genome-wide duplication(WGD)event occurred in macadamia 41 million years ago based on the WGD analysis.The functional enrichment analysis of M.integrifolia-specific gene families revealed their roles in signal transduction,protein phosphorylation,protein binding,and defense response.Here,a highly heterozygous genome of M.integrifolia was unlocked to provide a database for breeding and molecular mechanism research.Chengcai Xia Sirong Jiang Qiujin Tan Wenquan Wang Long Zhao Chenji Zhang Yuting Bao Qi Liu Jianjia Xiao Ke Deng Miaohua He Pengliang An Wenlin Wang Meiling Zou Zhiqiang Xia 2022Tropical Plants2022,1,1:3

3Mechanical performance and cyocompatibility of PU/PLCL nanofibrous electrospun scaffolds for skin regeneration显示文摘Skin tissue engineering with considerable skin regeneration capability is an urgent need for the wound site.The current challenge for researchers is to develop a bionic scaffold that imitates the extracellular matrix for the regeneration of the damaged regions.In our study,poly(L-lactide-co-caprolactone)(PLCL)was blended with polyurethane(PU)to obtain nanofibrous scaffolds via electrospinning.The electrospun fibers with 50%PLCL content had a certain number of intersections and jointing points,and exhibited significantly enhanced mechani-cal properties combined with suitable porosity.Moreover,cell activities demonstrated that PU/PLCL membranes had significantly biological advantages in enhanced growth of human skin fibroblasts with spreading morphology compared with PU membranes,indicating good cytocompatibility of composite scaffolds.These findings proved that PU/PLCL electrospun membranes have great potential in applications of skin tissue engineering.Xiang Gao Meiling Wen Yang Liu Tian Hou Meiwen An 2022Engineered Regeneration2022,3,1:1

7Biomimetic microchannel network with functional endothelium formed by sacrificial electrospun fibers inside 3D gelatin methacryloyl(GelMA)hydrogel models显示文摘Three-dimensional(3D)hydrogel models play a crucial role in tissue engineering for promoting tissue regeneration.A biomimetic microchannel network system in the 3D hydrogel model is necessary for optimal cellular function.This report describes the preparation of a biomimetic hydrogel scaffold with an internal microchannel network,using electrospinning techniques and the sacrificial template method for 3D cell culture.Microchannels and cavities were created within the gelatin methacryloyl(GelMA)hydrogel by sacrificing polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)electrospun fibers(>10µm),resulting in the creation of microvessel-like channels.Mechanical characterizations,swelling properties,and biodegradation analysis were conducted to investigate the feasibility of a biomimetic microchannel network hydrogel scaffold for 3D cell culture applications.Compared to pure GelMA hydrogel,the hydrogel with microchannels promoted cell proliferation,adhesion,and endothelial tube formation.Moreover,the results confirmed that the biomimetic microchannel network scaffold had a major impact on the distribution and arrangement of human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVECs)and can enable the formation of artificial microvasculature by the culture of HUVECs and cell media perfusion.Haoyu SUN Haiyang MA Li WANG Yang LIU Tian HOU Wenjie TANG Qing YU Meiwen AN Meiling WEN 2024Journal of Zhejiang University-Science A(Applied Physics & Engineering)2024,25,1:0
8Biomass,nutrient uptake and fatty acid composition of Chlamydomonas sp.ICE-L in response to different nitrogen sources显示文摘Nitrogen removal from media by microalgae provides the potential benefit of producing lipids for biodiesel and biomass. However, research is limited on algal growth and biomass under different nitrogen sources and provides little insight in terms of biofuel production. We studied the influences of nitrogen sources on cell growth and lipid accumulation of Chlamydomonas sp. ICE-L, one of a promising oil rich micro algal species. Chlamydomonas sp.ICE-L grown in NH_4 Cl medium had maximum growth rate. While the highest dry biomass of 0.28 g/L was obtained in media containing NH_4NO_3, the highest lipid content of 0.21 g/g was achieved under nitrogendeficiency condition with a dry biomass of 0.24 g/L. 9A simple hydroxypyridine ionic liquids for conversion of CO_(2)into quinazoline-2,4(1H,3H)-diones under atmospheric conditions显示文摘The transformation of CO_(2)into high value-added product is a promising pathway for utilizing CO_(2).However,the process tends to require harsh reaction conditions owing to CO_(2)chemical inertness.Designing a high efficiency catalytic system with environmentally benign characteristic are important determinants.In this work,protic ionic liquids[TMG][2-OPy]were prepared via one-step neutralization between 1,1,3,3-tetramethylguanidine and 2-hydroxypyridine,applying to the domain of synthesizing quinzoline-2,4(1 H,3H)-diones from CO_(2)and 2-aminobenzontiles without any solvent or metal,achieving the yield of 97%at 90℃for 8 h under atmospheric.A series of substrates with good to acceptable yield were detected,revealing the generality and universality of the catalyst.Furthermore,the system could be facilely reused for at least six runs,retaining the yield of 94%.A preliminary kinetic equation is calculated with the activation energy of 68 kJ·mol^(-1),and a plausible reaction mechanism was put forward.This study highlights that the[TMG][2-OPy]enables to activate CO_(2)carboxylation efficiently.Bowen Jiang Meiling Weng Jigang An Yuewei Fan Jia Liu Ying Liu Ting Yu Leizhi zheng Guoqiang Yang Zhibing Zhang 2023Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2023,62,10:0
