1Emodin alleviates cardiac fibrosis by suppressing activation of cardiac fibroblasts via upregulating metastasis associated protein 3显示文摘Excess activation of cardiac fibroblasts inevitably induces cardiac fibrosis. Emodin has been used as a natural medicine against several chronic diseases. The objective of this study is to determine the effects of emodin on cardiac fibrosis and the underlying molecular mechanisms. Intragastric administration of emodin markedly decreased left ventricular wall thickness in a mouse model of pathological cardiac hypertrophy with excess fibrosis induced by transaortic constriction(TAC) and suppressed activation of cardiac fibroblasts induced by angiotensin II(AngII). Emodin upregulated expression of metastasis associated protein 3(MTA3) and restored the MTA3 expression in the setting of cardiac fibrosis. Moreover, overexpression of MTA3 promoted cardiac fibrosis;in contrast, silence of MTA3 abrogated the inhibitory effect of emodin on fibroblast activation. 2Effects of Forest Type and Urbanization on Carbon Storage of Urban Forests in Changchun, Northeast China显示文摘Rapid urbanization has led to dramatic changes in urban forest structures and functions, and consequently affects carbon(C) storage in cities. In this study, field surveys were combined with high resolution images to investigate the variability of C storage of urban forests in Changchun, Northeast China. The main objectives of this study were to quantify the C storage of urban forests in Changchun City, Northeast China and understand the effects of forest type and urbanization on C storage of urban forests. The results showed that the mean C density and the total C storage of urban forests in Changchun were 4.41 kg/m2 and 4.74 × 108 kg, respectively. There were significant differences in C density among urban forest types. Landscape and relaxation forest(LF) had the highest C density with 5.41 kg/m2, while production and management forest(PF) had the lowest C density with 1.46 kg/m2. These differences demonstrate that urban forest type is an important factor needed to be considered when the C storage is accurately estimated. Further findings revealed significant differences in different gradients of urbanization, and the mean C density decreased from the first ring(6.99 kg/m2) to the fourth ring(2.87 kg/m2). The total C storage increased from the first ring to the third ring. These results indicate that C storage by urban forests will be significantly changed during the process of urbanization. 3Effects of Urbanization,Soil Property and Vegetation Configuration on Soil Infiltration of Urban Forest in Changchun,Northeast China显示文摘Urban forest soil infiltration, affected by various factors, is closely related with surface runoff. This paper studied the effect of urban forest types, vegetation configuration and soil properties on soil infiltration. In our study, 191 typical plots were sampled in Changchun City, China to investigate the soil infiltration characteristics of urban forest and its influencing factors. Our results showed that the steady infiltration rates of urban forest soil were highly variable. High variations in the final infiltration rates were observed for different vegetation patterns and compaction degrees. Trees with shrubs and grasses had the highest infiltration rate and trees with bare land had the lowest infiltration rate. In addition, our results showed that the soil infiltration rate decreased with an increase in the bulk density and with a reduction in the soil organic matter content and non-capillary porosity. The soil infiltration rate also had significantly positive relationships with the total porosity and saturated soil water content. Urban soil compaction contributed to low soil infiltration rates. To increase the infiltration rate and water storage volume of urban forest soil, proper techniques to minimize and mitigate soil compaction should be used. 6Effects of Nitrogen Concentration on Microstructure and Antibacterial Property of Copper-Bearing Austenite Stainless Steels显示文摘Austenite antibacterial stainless steels have been found to have wide applications in hospitals and food indus- tries.In recent years epsilon copper precipitation in antibacterial stainless steels has obtained much research interest due to its antibacterial action.The objective of this study was to determine the effects of nitro- gen concentration on the precipitation of epsilon copper and antibacterial property.Two kinds of austenite antibacterial stainless steels containing copper and different nitrogen concentration(0.02 and 0.08 wt pct,re- spectively)were prepared and the microstructures were characterized by a combination of electron microscopy and thermodynamic analysis.A mathematical expression was deduced to predict the effect of nitrogen con- centration on the activity coefficient of copper,In(f_(Cu)/f_(cu)~0=0.53524+4.11x_N-0.48x_N^2.Higher nitrogen was found to increase the free energy difference of copper concentration distribution between precipitation phase and austenite matrix,stimulate the aggregation of copper atoms from austenite,increase the precipitation amount and consequently enhance the antibacterial property of steel.Zhixia ZHANG Laizhu JIANG Gang LIN Zhou XU 2008Journal of Materials Science & Technology2008,24,5:4

8Comprehensive Assessment of Urbanization Coordination:A Case Study of Jiangxi Province, China显示文摘In order to make assessment on urbanization coordination, we developed a comprehensive model by integrating entropy weight method(EWM), coupling degree model(CDM), coupling coordination degree model(CCDM), multi-index grading method(MIGM) and Remote Sensing & Geographic Information System(RS & GIS) technology. Then we applied this integrated model to a case study in Jiangxi Province, China. Our study finds that: 1) EWM, CDM and CCDM can evaluate the temporal dynamic of urbanization. Urbanization process of Jiangxi Province can be divided into three periods, the stable development period(1990–2001), the accelerated development period(2002–2009) and the rapid development period(2010–2015). Coordinated development of urbanization in Jiangxi Province can be divided into two phases, an increasingly coordinated phase(1990–2003) and an increasingly incongruous phase(2003–2015). The state transition was due to low development rate of population urbanization. 2) RS & GIS technology is an effective tool for detecting urban growth. Urban construction land area of Jiangxi Province increased from 615.8 km^2 in 1990 to 2896.8 km^2 in2015, and the per capita urban construction land area(PCUCLA) reached 122.9 m^2, with the maximum value of 343 m^2 in Gongqingcheng City. 3) MIGM and RS & GIS technology can analyze spatial difference of urbanization. There is a significant spatial difference in socioeconomic development at county scale, with the maximum value six times the minimum value for both PCUCLA and per capita GDP in 2015. Population urbanization lag and excessive land use are the main reasons for uncoordinated urbanization. There were 15 counties with a lag in demographic urbanization and 33 counties where PCUCLA exceeded the national standard in 2015, among which 20 exceeded the national standard of PCUCLA by 50%(≥165 m^2). 9Surface segregation of copper in antibacterial ferritic stainless steel显示文摘By using auger electron spectroscopy(AES)and diffusion theory to analyze the surface segregation of copper in antibacterial ferritic stainless steel,establishing a diffusion model,and calculating the activation energy of diffusion of the copper in ferrite,the affect of surface segregation on the antibacterial capabilities were researched.The results show that the concentration of the copper surface at 973 K and 1 073 K could be expressed asln (X_(Cu)~s)/(X_(Cu)~b)=k_0 ((Dt)^(1/2))/d((-ΔH_r^(Cu)+ΔH_r^(iron)+ΔH_s^(Cu))/(3RT)),with the parameters relating to the concentration of the diffusion layer,the coefficient of diffusion,the length of diffusion,the latent heat of evaporation and the latent heat of fusion.The activation energy of diffusion of copper in ferrite is approximately 221.688 kJ/mol.The antibacterial property of the steel is improved as the surface segregation of the copper is increased.At 1073 K for 60 min,the concentration of the surface copper is over three times higher than the basic concentration.The antibacterial property of the stainless steel can reach approximately 99.9%.Zhang Zhixia Lin Gang Jiang Laizhu 2008Baosteel Technical Research2008,2,2:2
10Grain Yield, Quality and 2-Acetyl-1-Pyrroline of Fragrant Rice in Response to Different Planting Seasons in South China显示文摘Climate conditions is an important factor affected the fragrant rice growth and development.In order to study the effects of different planting seasons on fragrant rice performance in South China,present study was conducted with three planting seasons(early season(April to July),middle season(June to September)and late season(August to November))and three fragrant rice cultivars,‘Basmati-385’,‘Meixiangzhan-2’and‘Xiangyaxiangzhan’.The results showed that the highest grain yield and grain 2-acetyl-1-pyrroline(2-AP,key component of fragrant rice aroma)content were both recorded in late season treatment while the fragrant rice in middle season treatment produced the lowest grain yield,grain filling percentage,1000-grain weight and gain 2-AP content.The highest contents of precursors(proline,pyrroline-5-carboxylic acid and 1-pyrro-line)which related to 2-AP biosynthesis were recorded in late season treatment compared with early season treatment and middle season treatment.The highest activities of enzymes(proline dehydrogenase,pyrroline-5-carboxylic acid synthetase and ornithine transaminase)which involved in 2-AP biosynthesis were also observed in late season treatment.Moreover,the fragrant rice cultivars in late season possessed the lowest chalk rice rate,chalkiness as well as the highest brown rice rate,head rice and protein content.Thus,the optimal season for fragrant rice production in South China is the late season.Leilei Kong Haowen Luo Zhaowen Mo Shenggang Pan Zhixia Liu Qiang Zhang Song Bai Xiangru Tang 2020Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2020,89,3:2
11Precipitation of Epsilon Copper in Ferrite Antibacterial Stainless Steel显示文摘The precipitation of epsilon copper at 1023 K ageing in ferrite antibacterial stainless steel was investigated by a combination of electron microscopy and micro-Vickers hardness measurement.The results show that epsilon copper precipitation occurs within 90 s.Complex multilayer structure confirmed as twins and stacking faults on{111}_(ε_Cu) planes was observed in the precipitates.The precipitates grow by the lengthwise enlargement of a set of parallel layers,having[111]_(ε-Cu) and[112]_(ε-Cu) preferred growth orientations.The volume fraction of precipitates f formed within 120 min can be predicted by a modified Avrami equation(In 1/(1-f)=kt+b). Simultaneously,substituent atom clusters with a size of 5-10 nm was found to occur in the solution and cause matrix strain.The precipitate morphology and distribution on the surface of ferrite antibacterial stainless steel are associated with surface crystallographic orientation of the matrix.The precipitates are predominantly located within the ferrite grains of<110>orientation.The precipitates located on{111}_(α-Fe) surface planes have sphere or ellipse shape.Zhixia ZHANG Gang LIN Zhou XU 2008Journal of Materials Science & Technology2008,24,5:2

15A new type-γ'/γ''coprecipitation behavior and its evolution mechanism in wrought Ni-based ATI 718Plus superalloy显示文摘In the precipitation-hardened Ni-based superalloy,typified by ATI 718 Plus,the nano-scaleγandγphase in duplet or triple coprecipitate morphology can provide superior high-temperature strength.Thus,it is of great sense to study the evolution ofγ’/γ’’coprecipitate during long term service at elevated temperature.In this study,the new-typeγ’/γ’’coprecipitates with a sandwich or compact configuration were found firstly in wrought ATI 718 Plus superalloy during long term thermal exposure at 705℃.These co-structure of theγ’/γ’’precipitates evidently inhibit the coarsening ofγ’phase.The increase of thermal exposure time evidently leads to the increase of the volume fraction ofγ’/γ’’coprecipitate and transformation of sandwich-typeγ’/γ’’coprecipitate to compact-typeγ’/γ’’coprecipitate,which is characterized asγphase precipitate at several faces of theγphase.The main evolution mechanism ofγ’/γ’’coprecipitates is element segregation,especially the composition variations of Al+Ti and Nb and their ratio of Al+Ti/Nb.In addition,the interfacial energy betweenγ’’phase andγmatrix also plays a key role on theγ’/γ’’coprecipitates evolution.The calculated results show that the longer thermal exposure time leads to the higher interfacial energy,which is beneficial for nucleation and precipitation ofγ’’phase on the faces ofγ’phase.Qianying Guo Zongqing Ma Zhixia Qiao Chong Li Teng Zhang Jun Li Chenxi Liu Yongchang Liu 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,24:1
