1Measuring reliability under epistemic uncertainty:Review on non-probabilistic reliability metrics显示文摘In this paper,a systematic review of non-probabilistic reliability metrics is conducted to assist the selection of appropriate reliability metrics to model the influence of epistemic uncertainty.Five frequently used non-probabilistic reliability metrics are critically reviewed,i.e.,evidencetheory-based reliability metrics,interval-analysis-based reliability metrics,fuzzy-interval-analysisbased reliability metrics,possibility-theory-based reliability metrics(posbist reliability) and uncertainty-theory-based reliability metrics(belief reliability).It is pointed out that a qualified reliability metric that is able to consider the effect of epistemic uncertainty needs to(1) compensate the conservatism in the estimations of the component-level reliability metrics caused by epistemic uncertainty,and(2) satisfy the duality axiom,otherwise it might lead to paradoxical and confusing results in engineering applications.The five commonly used non-probabilistic reliability metrics are compared in terms of these two properties,and the comparison can serve as a basis for the selection of the appropriate reliability metrics.Kang Rui ZhangQingyuan Zeng Zhiguo Enrico Zio Li Xiaoyang 2016Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2016,29,3:18
2Application of reliability technologies in civil aviation: Lessons learnt and perspectives显示文摘We consider reliability engineering in modern civil aviation industry, and the related engineering activities and methods. We consider reliability in a broad sense, referring to other system characteristics that are related to it, like availability, maintainability, safety and durability. We covered the entire lifecycle of the equipment, including reliability requirement identification, reliability analysis and design, verification and validation of reliability requirements(typically involved in the equipment design and development phase), quality assurance(which typically enters in the manufacturing phase), and fault diagnosis and prognosis and maintenance(which are connected to the operation phase). 3Using PoF models to predict system reliability considering failure collaboration显示文摘Existing Physics-of-Failure-based(PoF-based) system reliability prediction methods are grounded on the independence assumption, which overlooks the dependency among the components. In this paper, a new type of dependency, referred to as failure collaboration, is introduced and considered in reliability predictions. A Po F-based model is developed to describe the failure behavior of systems subject to failure collaboration. Based on the developed model, the Bisection-based Reliability Analysis Method(BRAM) is exploited to calculate the system reliability. The developed methods are applied to predicting the reliability of a Hydraulic Servo Actuator(HSA). 4Rape Breeding and Its Intellectual Property Protection in China显示文摘Rape is the third largest oil crop in the world and the first one in China.The national average rapeseed yield is only 2077.5 kg/hm^(2),and the rapeseed oil yield is 894 kg/hm^(2).This paper introduced the main types,germplasm resources,breeding bases and breeding progress of Chinese rape,and studied its high-quality varieties,breeding patents and new varieties of agricultural plants.We analyzed the main problems such as serious loss of germplasm resources in Brassica campestris L.and Brassica juncea(L.)Czern.et Coss and weak'agricultural chip'in rape field,and put forward strategies such as strengthening the protection of rape germplasm resources,encouraging the development of'agricultural chip'in rape industry clusters with national advantages and characteristics,and strengthening the protection of agricultural intellectual property rights.Li GAO Leying WU Yamin PENG Yuanpeng SUN Jin ZENG Zhiguo SUN 2023Agricultural Biotechnology2023,12,3:4
5Microstructure and hardness of WC-Co particle reinforced iron matrix surface composite显示文摘In this study, a high Cr cast iron surface composite material reinforced with WC-Co particles 2-6 mm in size was prepared using a pressureless sand mold infiltration casting technique. The composition, microstructure and hardness were determined by means of energy dispersive spectrometry(EDS), electron probe microanalysis(EPMA), scanning electron microscope(SEM) and Rockwell hardness measurements. It is determined that the obtained composite layer is about 15 mm thick with a WC-Co particle volumetric fraction of ~38%. During solidification, interface reaction takes place between WC-Co particles and high chromium cast iron. Melting and dissolving of prefabricated particles are also found, suggesting that local Co melting and diffusion play an important role in promoting interface metallurgical bonding. The composite layer is composed of ferrite and a series of carbides, such as(Cr, W, Fe)23C6, WC, W2C, M6C and M12C. The inhomogeneous hardness in the obtained composite material shows a gradient decrease from the particle reinforced metal matrix composite layer to the matrix layer. The maximum hardness of 86.3 HRA(69.5 HRC) is obtained on the particle reinforced surface, strongly indicating that the composite can be used as wear resistant material.Zhang Peng Zeng Shaolian Zhang Zhiguo Li Wei 2013China Foundry2013,10,6:4
6A compositional method to model dependent failure behavior based on PoF models显示文摘In this paper, a new method is developed to model dependent failure behavior among failure mechanisms. Unlike the existing methods, the developed method models the root cause of the dependency explicitly, so that a deterministic model, rather than a probabilistic one, can be established. Three steps comprise the developed method. First, physics-of-failure(PoF) models are utilized to model each failure mechanism. Then, interactions among failure mechanisms are modeled as a combination of three basic relations, competition, superposition and coupling. This is the reason why the method is referred to as ‘‘compositional method'. Finally, the PoF models and the interaction model are combined to develop a deterministic model of the dependent failure behavior. As a demonstration, the method is applied on an actual spool and the developed failure behavior model is validated by a wear test. 10Study on dry friction and wear resistance of a WC-Co particle reinforced iron matrix composite material显示文摘In order to select a suitable material for the rolling mill guide application, the dry sliding friction and wear resistance of a tungsten carbide combining cobalt (WC-Co) particle reinforced chromium cast iron composite material were studied. In particular, the wear resistance was discussed in detail. The results showed that the composite material demonstrates 25 times the wear resistance of high Cr cast iron, and 9 times the wear resistance of heat resistant steel. However, the average friction factor in the stable friction stage showed a relationship of μComposites/45#steel>μHigh chromium cast iron/45#steel>μHeat resistant steel/45 # steel. The wear resistance mechanism of the composite material was associated with the reinforcing particles, which protruded from the worn surface to bear the friction load when the matrix material surface was worn, thereby reducing the abrasive and adhesive wear.
