1HCloud:A Trusted JointCloud Serverless Platform for IoT Systems with Blockchain显示文摘Cloud computing has been exploited in managing large-scale IoT systems.IoT cloud servers usually handle a large number of requests from various IoT devices.Due to the fluctuant and heavy workload,the servers require the cloud to provide high scalability,stable performance,low price and necessary functionalities.However,traditional clouds usually offer computing service with the abstraction of virtual machine(VM),which can hardly meet these requirements.Meanwhile,different cloud vendors provide different performance stabilities and price models,which fluctuate according to the dynamic workload.A single cloud cannot satisfy all the requirements of the IoT scenario well.The JointCloud computing model empowers the cooperation among multiple public clouds.However,it is still difficult to dynamically schedule the workload on different clouds based on the VM abstraction.This paper introduces HCloud,a trusted JointCloud platform for IoT systems using serverless computing model.HCloud allows an IoT server to be implemented with multiple serverless functions and schedules these functions on different clouds based on a schedule policy.The policy is specified by the client and includes the required functionalities,execution resources,latency,price and so on.HCloud collects the status of each cloud and dispatches serverless functions to the most suitable cloud based on the schedule policy.By leveraging the blockchain technology,we further enforce that our system can neither fake the cloud status nor wrongly dispatch the target functions.We have implemented a prototype of HCloud and evaluated it by simulating multiple cloud providers.The evaluation results show that HCloud can greatly improve the performance of serverless workloads with negligible costs.Zheng Huang Zeyu Mi Zhichao Hua 2020China Communications2020,17,9:3
2Arg462Gln and Asp541Glu polymorphisms in ribonuclease L and prostate cancer risk:a meta-analysis显示文摘Objective:The association between ribonuclease L(RNASEL)gene polymorphisms and prostate cancer risk has been widely reported,but the results of these studies remained controversial and underpowered.We performed a meta-analysis of 28 studies to evaluate the association between Arg462Gln and Asp541Glu polymorphisms in the RNASEL gene and prostate cancer risk.Methods:Odds ratios(ORs)with 95%confidence intervals(CIs) were estimated to assess the association between RNASEL polymorphisms and prostate cancer risk.Results:A significantly increased prostate cancer risk was found for the Arg462Gln polymorphism in Africans(Gln/Gln vs Arg/Arg:OR=2.50,95%CI=1.28-4.87;Gln/Gln vs Gln/Arg+Arg/Arg:OR=2.54,95%CI=1.30-4.95),but not in Europeans and Asians.Additionally,the Asp541Glu polymorphism was associated with increased total prostate cancer risk(Glu-allele vs Asp-allele:OR=1.04,95%CI=1.01-1.07;Glu/Glu vs Asp/Asp:OR=1.22,95%CI= 1.03-1.46;Glu/Glu vs Glu/Asp+Asp/Asp:OR=1.09,95%CI=1.02-1.16).In the stratified analysis for the Asp541Glu polymorphism,there was a significantly increased prostate cancer risk in Africans and Europeans,and in hospital-based prostate cancer cases.Conclusion:The meta-analysis results showed evidence that RNASEL Arg462Gln and Asp541Glu polymorphisms are associated with prostate cancer risk and could be low-penetrance prostate cancer susceptibility biomarkers.Yuanyuan Mi Qianqian Yu Zhichao Min Bin Xu Lifeng Zhang Wei Zhang Ninghan Feng L ixin Hua 2010The Journal of Biomedical Research2010,24,5:2
3Effects of reductive inorganics and NOM on the formation of chlorite in the chlorine dioxide disinfection of drinking water显示文摘Chlorine dioxide(ClO_(2))disinfection usually does not produce halogenated disinfection byproducts,but the formation of the inorganic by-product chlorite(ClO^(–)_(2))is a serious consideration.In this study,the ClO^(–)_(2)formation rule in the ClO_(2)disinfection of drinking water was investigated in the presence of three representative reductive inorganics and four natural organic matters(NOMs),respectively.Fe^(2+)and S^(2–)mainly reduced ClO_(2)to ClO^(–)_(2)at low concentrations.When ClO_(2)was consumed,the ClO^(–)_(2)would be further reduced by Fe^(2+)and S^(2–),leading to the decrease of ClO^(–)_(2).The reaction efficiency of Mn^(2+)with ClO_(2)was lower than that of Fe^(2+)and S^(2–).It might be the case that Mn O 2 generated by the reaction between Mn^(2+)and ClO_(2)had adsorption and catalytic oxidation on Mn^(2+).However,Mn^(2+)would not reduce ClO^(–)_(2).Among the four NOMs,humic acid and fulvic acid reacted with ClO_(2)actively,followed by bovine serum albumin,while sodium alginate had almost no reaction with ClO_(2).The maximum ClO^(–)_(2)yields of reductive inorganics(70%)was higher than that of NOM(around 60%).The lower the concentration of reductive substances,the more ClO^(–)_(2)could be produced by per unit concentration of reductive substances.The results of the actual water samples showed that both reductive inorganics and NOM played an important role in the formation of ClO^(–)_(2)in disinfection.Biao Yang Hua Fang Bingqi Chen Shun Yang Zhichao Ye Jianghua Yu 2021Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,6:2

5TZ-Container:protecting container from untrusted OS with ARM TrustZone显示文摘Containers are widely deployed on cloud platforms because of their low resource footprint, fast start-up time, and high performance, especially compared with their counterpart virtual machines. However,the Achilles’ heel of container technology is its weak isolation. For an attacker, jailbreaking into a host OS from a container is easier than attacking a hypervisor from a virtual machine, because of its notably larger attack surface and larger trusted computing base(TCB). Researchers have proposed various solutions to protect applications from untrusted OS;yet, few of them focus on protecting containers, especially those hosting multiple applications and shared by multiple users. In this paper, we first identify several new attacks that cannot be prevented using the existing solutions. Furthermore, we systematically analyze the security properties that should be maintained to defend against these attacks and protect a full-fledged container from a malicious host OS. We then present the TZ-Container, a TrustZone-based secure container mechanism that can keep all these security properties. The TZ-Container specifically leverages TrustZone to construct multiple isolated execution environments(IEEs). Each IEE has a memory space isolated from the underlying OS and any other processes. By interposing switching between the user and the kernel modes,IEEs enforce security checks on each system call according to its semantics. We have implemented TZContainer on the Hikey development board ensuring that it can support running unmodified Docker images downloaded from existing repositories such as http://gffzzb700e51cfd45483bsqq65cpf9wq6c6xon.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/. 6Enhanced methane production during long-term UASB operation at high organic loads as enabled by the immobilized Fungi显示文摘Anaerobic digestion is widely applied in organic wastewater treatment coupled with bioenergy production,and how to stabilize its work at the high organic loading rate(OLR)remains a challenge.Herein,we proposed a new strategy to address this issue via involving the synergetic role of the Aspergillus sydowii 8L-9-F02 immobilized beads(AEBs).A long-term(210-day)continuous-mode operation indicated that the upflow anaerobic sludge bed(UASB)reactor(R1,with AEBs added)could achieve the OLR as high as 25.0 kg/(m^(3)×d),whereas the control reactor(R0,with AEBs free)could only tolerate the maximum OLR of 13.3 kg/(m^(3)×d).Remarkably,much higher COD removal(85.9%vs 23.9%)and methane production(5.4 m^(3)/(m^(3)×d)vs 2.2 m^(3)/(m^(3)×d))were achieved in R1 than R0 at the OLR of 25.0 kg/(m^(3)×d).Such favorable effect results from the facts that fungi inhibit VFAs accumulation,favor the pH stabilization,promote the generation of more extracellular polymeric substance,and enhance the sludge granulation and settleability.Moreover,fungi may enhance the secretion of acetyl-coenzyme A,a key compound in converting organic matters to CO_(2).In addition,fungi are favorable to enrich methanogenic archaea even at high OLR,improving the activity of acetate kinase and coenzyme F_(420) for more efficient methanogenic pathway.This work may shed new light on how to achieve higher OLR and methane production in anaerobic digestion of wastewater.Qiong Guo Zhichao Yang Bingliang Zhang Ming Hua Changhong Liu Bingcai Pan 2022Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2022,16,6:1

8PTEN-deficient cells prefer glutamine for metabolic synthesis显示文摘PTEN loss-of-function mutations frequently occur in gliomas and lead to poor overall survival.PTEN deficiency induces metabolic reprogramming,which may provide therapeutic targets.PTEN is known to impact the Warburg effect and glutaminolysis.To uncover essential glutaminerelated metabolic changes specific in PTEN-deficient cells and thus provide potential therapeutic targets,we performed capillary electrophoresis-mass spectrometry-based metabolomics analysis and metabolic flux analysis under different glutamine culture conditions and PTEN alteration status.Glu,Asn,Gly,Ala,and 1-methylnicotinamide were decreased in PTEN-deficient cells under normal culture conditions.Meanwhile,under Gln-deprived culture conditions,Glu,citrate,and UTP synthesis were reduced and acetyl carnitine was increased in PTEN-deficient cells.The reliance on Gln was increased for metabolic intermediates synthesis but decreased for energy production in PTEN-deficient cells.However,the reliance on Gln for UTP synthesis cannot be targeted due to anaplerotic synthesis of UTP from other sources.How to target these metabolic addictions needs further research.Zhichao Wang Di Chen Hai-long Piao Xiangdong Hua 2020Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2020,52,3:0
9Chemoselective Polymerization of Fully Biorenewableα-Methylene-γ-Butyrolactone Using Organophosphazene/Urea Binary Catalysts Toward Sustainable Polyesters显示文摘Despite the great potential of biorenewableα-methylene-γ-butyrolactone(MBL)to produce functional,recyclable polyester,the ring-opening polymerization(ROP)of MBL remains a challenge due to the competing polymerization of the highly reactive exocyclic double bond and low-strained five-membered ring.In this contribution,we present the first organocatalytic chemoselective ROP of MBL to exclusively produce functional unsaturated polyester by utilizing a phosphazene base/urea binary catalyst.We show that delicate chemoselectivity can be realized by controlling the temperature and using selected urea catalysts.The obtained polyester can be completely recycled back to its monomer by chemolysis under mild conditions.Experimental and theoretical calculations provide mechanistic insights and indicate that the ROP pathway is kinetically favored by using urea with stronger acidity at low temperatures.Yong Shen Wei Xiong Yongzheng Li Zhichao Zhao Hua Lu Zhibo Li 2021CCS Chemistry2021,3,1:0
10Embryoid Induction and Cell Suspension Culture of Premna microphylla Turca显示文摘In order to find suspension culture conditions suitable for Premna microphylla Turca,with the leaves of experimented P. microphylla as a material,embryogenic callus induction,subculture,dispersion of embryogenic callus and suspension culture were performed. The results showed that the calli induced from leaves were different. The medium most suitable for induction of loose embryogenic callus for suspension culture was MS + 0. 4 mg/L 2,4-D + 0. 4 mg/L NAA + 3% sucrose + 0. 8% agar. A better cell line could be obtained with cellulase and pectinase for dispersion of P. microphylla callus. The medium most suitable for suspension culture was MS + 0. 4 mg/L 2,4-D + 0. 8 mg/L KT + 3% sucrose. In this medium,the fresh weight of the suspension-cultured cells increased by 6. 46 times per 7 d. Dark culture was more suitable for cell proliferation. 11Digital Transformation, Information Search, and Women's High-Quality Employment显示文摘The promotion of fuller and higher-quality employment is a prime task for China's high-quality development.Both employment security(ES)and employment quality(EQ)need to be improved for women who,as an essential part of labor force,have long been faced with high stress and employment threshold.The role of digital transformation in promoting women's employment through reducing the cost of job information search is analyzed with the Job Search Theory in this paper.By using China Household Finance Survey(CHFS)data,this research found that digital transformation of households in China contributes to women's employment significantly,raises the number and proportion of female family members in employment,and enhances women'access to medical care insurance,endowment insurance,unemployment insurance,housing fund and overtime pay.Digital transformation can improve the information accessibility of households,and the reduction in information asymmetries benefits women's employment,as indicated by the mechanism analysis.The positive impact of digital transformation is more pronounced for households in Central China,Western China and provinces with high unemployment rates,as well as those supporting the elderly and without housing.This paper will serve as a reference to fuel high-quality employment and reduce dificulties for women in the context of digital transformation.Hua Qiu Zhichao Yin 2023China Finance and Economic Review2023,12,3:0
