Comparison of Undernutrition Prevalence of Children under 5 Years in China between 2002 and 2013显示文摘Objective To describe the undernutrition status of children under 5-year in China, and study the trend between 2002 and 2013. Methods The study was based on two national surveys. Undernutrition was determined against WHO's 2006 growth standards. The prevalence in 2013 and 2002 was weighted by China sixth National Population Census(2010). The relationship between undernutrition and gender/age groups/different areas use weighted logistic regression. Results The results indicated the overall prevalence of stunting, underweight, and wasting of Chinese children under 5-year was 8.1%, 2.4%, and 1.9% in 2013, respectively. The prevalence of stunting was higher for children aged 12-47 month, while underweight was higher for children aged 48-59 month. The prevalence of undernutrition was higher in rural areas than in urban areas, especially in poor rural areas. There was a decline of stunting, underweight, and wasting between 2002 and 2013 among the children, with greater reduction in rural areas than in urban areas. Conclusion The prevalence of undernutrition of children under 5-year remains high in rural areas especially in poor rural areas in China. It is urgent to take action to control undernutrition in the vulnerable areas and subgroups.YU Dong Mei ZHAO Li Yun YANG Zhen Yu CHANG Su Ying YU Wen Tao FANG Hong Yun WANG Xun YU Dan GUO Qi Ya XU Xiao Li FANG Yue Hui ZHAO Wen Hua YANG Xiao Guang DING Gang Qiang LIANG Xiao Feng 2016Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2016,29,3:18

Association of Overlapped and Un-overlapped Comorbidities with COVID-19 Severity and Treatment Outcomes: A Retrospective Cohort Study from Nine Provinces in China显示文摘Objective Several COVID-19 patients have overlapping comorbidities. The independent role of each component contributing to the risk of COVID-19 is unknown, and how some non-cardiometabolic comorbidities affect the risk of COVID-19 remains unclear. Methods A retrospective follow-up design was adopted. A total of 1,160 laboratory-confirmed patients were enrolled from nine provinces in China. Data on comorbidities were obtained from the patients’ medical records. Multivariable logistic regression models were used to estimate the odds ratio(OR) and 95% confidence interval(95% CI) of the associations between comorbidities(cardiometabolic or non-cardiometabolic diseases), clinical severity, and treatment outcomes of COVID-19.Results Overall, 158(13.6%) patients were diagnosed with severe illness and 32(2.7%) had unfavorable outcomes. Hypertension(2.87, 1.30–6.32), type 2 diabetes(T2 DM)(3.57, 2.32–5.49),cardiovascular disease(CVD)(3.78, 1.81–7.89), fatty liver disease(7.53, 1.96–28.96), hyperlipidemia(2.15, 1.26–3.67), other lung diseases(6.00, 3.01–11.96), and electrolyte imbalance(10.40, 3.00–26.10)were independently linked to increased odds of being severely ill. T2 DM(6.07, 2.89–12.75), CVD(8.47,6.03–11.89), and electrolyte imbalance(19.44, 11.47–32.96) were also strong predictors of unfavorable outcomes. Women with comorbidities were more likely to have severe disease on admission(5.46,3.25–9.19), while men with comorbidities were more likely to have unfavorable treatment outcomes(6.58, 1.46–29.64) within two weeks. Conclusion Besides hypertension, diabetes, and CVD, fatty liver disease, hyperlipidemia, other lung diseases, and electrolyte imbalance were independent risk factors for COVID-19 severity and poor treatment outcome. Women with comorbidities were more likely to have severe disease, while men with comorbidities were more likely to have unfavorable treatment outcomes.MA Yan ZHU Dong Shan CHEN Ren Bo SHI Nan Nan LIU Si Hong FAN Yi Pin WU Gui Hui YANG Pu Ye BAI Jiang Feng CHEN Hong CHEN Li Ying FENG Qiao GUO Tuan Mao HOU Yong HU Gui Fen HU Xiao Mei HU Yun Hong HUANG Jin HUANG Qiu Hua HUANG Shao Zhen JI Liang JIN Hai Hao LEI Xiao LI Chun Yan LI Min Qing LI Qun Tang LI Xian Yong LIU Hong De LIU Jin Ping LIU Zhang MA Yu Ting MAO Ya MO Liu Fen NA Hui WANG Jing Wei SONG Fang Li SUN Sheng WANG Dong Ting WANG Ming Xuan WANG Xiao Yan WANG Yin Zhen WANG Yu Dong WU Wei WU Lan Ping XIAO Yan Hua XIE Hai Jun XU Hong Ming XU Shou Fang XUE Rui Xia YANG Chun YANG Kai Jun YUAN Sheng Li ZHANG Gong Qi ZHANG Jin Bo ZHANG Lin Song ZHAO Shu Sen ZHAO Wan Ying ZHENG Kai ZHOU Ying Chun ZHU Jun Teng ZHU Tian Qing ZHANG Hua Min WANG Yan Ping WANG Yong Yan 2020Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2020,33,12:8
An experimental study on astrocytes promoting production of neural stem cells derived from mouse embryonic stem cells显示文摘Background The production of neural stem cells (NSCs) derived from embryonic stem (ES) cells was usually very low according to previous studies, which was a major obstacle for meeting the needs of clinical application. This study aimed at investigating whether astrocytes could promote production of NSCs derived from ES cells in vitro. Methods Mouse ES cells line-D3 was used to differentiate into NSCs with astrocytes as inducing stromal cells by means of three-stage differentiation procedure. Another group without astrocytes served as control. The totipotency of ES cells was identified by observation of cells’ morphology and formation of teratoma in severe combined immunodeficiency disease (SCID) mice. The quantity and purity of NSCs derived from ES cells were analyzed using clonogenic assay, immunohistochemical staining and flow cytometry assay. The plasticity of NSCs was detected by differentiating test. Octamer-binding transcription factor 4 (Oct-4) and nestin, the specific marker genes of ES cells and NSCs respectively, were detected continuously using reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) method to monitor the process of cell differentiation. Results The ES cells of D3 line could maintain the ability of differentiating into cellular derivations of all three primary germ layers after continuous passage culture. At the end of two-stage of inducing process, 23.2±3.5 neurospheres per plate formed in astrocyte-induced group and only 0.8±0.3 per plate in the control group (clonogenic assay, P<0.01), and the ratio of nestin positive cells was (50.2±2.8)% in astrocyte-induced group and only (1.4±0.5)% in the control group (flow cytometry, P<0.01). With the induction undergoing, the expression of Oct-4 gradually decreased and then disappeared, while the expression of nestin was increased step by step, and the ratio of nestin positive cells was up to 91.4% by the three-stage differentiation. The nestin positive cells could be further induced into neurons, astrocytes, and oligodendrocytes in differentiating medium supplemented with fetal calf serum. The results of differentiating test showed that the ratio of NF-200 and NSE positive cells was (42.7±2.6)% in astrocyte-induced group and only (11.2±1.8)% in the control group (P<0.01).Conclusions Astrocytes can not only increase the production of NSCs derived from ES cells but also promote the differentiation of NSCs toward neuronal lineage.ZHOU Yu-feng FANG Feng FU Jin-rong DONG Yong-sui YE Du-yun SHU Sai-nan ZHEN Hong LI Ge 2005Chinese Medical Journal2005,,23:7
Validity of the Chinese Version of the Patient-Generated Subjective Global Assessment (PG-SGA) in Lung Cancer Patients显示文摘The prevalence of malnutrition is high among oncology patients in China. Although the Patient- Generated Subjective Global Assessment (PG-SGA) is widely recognized as an important nutritional assessment tool, it has not been validated for Chinese cancer patients. The purpose of this study was to conduct an analysis of nutrition screening and assessment data to validate the Chinese version of the PG-SGA in Chinese patients with lung cancer. This was an observational, cross-sectional study of 2,000 consecutive adult patients with lung cancer treated at several tertiary hospitals in China. Anthropometric and patient descriptive data were collected. The PG-SGA generated a score for the nutritional risk and a global rating for the nutritional status. The internal consistency, external consistency, and construct validity were evaluated, and a known-groups comparison and principal component analyses were conducted to evaluate the reliability and validity of the PG-SGA. The known-groups comparison demonstrated the ability of the PG-SGA to differentiate lung cancer patients of different nutritional and body mass index (BMI) groups. A confirmatory factor analysis supported the original four-factor structure of the PG-SGA. In terms of the internal and external consistency, the PG-SGA demonstrated intra-class correlation coefficients (ICC) up to 0.987. Alternative form validity was also demonstrated between Box 4 of the PG-SGA and the Karnofsky Performance Status score, with excellent external consistency (r = 0.972, P < 0.001). The construct validity was supported, and selected questionnaire dimensions were evident in the principal component analysis. Significant Spearman correlations (P < 0.001) were demonstrated. The Chinese version of the PG-SGA demonstrated significant reliability and sufficient exploratory properties to support its validity. It seems to be a valid tool that can be used to access the nutritional status of Chinese lung cancer patients. The validity of the PG-SGA in Chinese cancer patients warrants further investigation in other cancer types.Zhen Ming Fu Hong Xia Xu Chun Hua Song Wei Li Zeng Qing Guo Yuan Lin Ying Ying Shi Wen Hu Yi Ba Su Yi Li Zeng Ning Li Kun Hua Wang Jing Wu Ying He Jia Jun Yang Cong Hua Xie Xin Xia Song Gong Yan Chen Wen Jun Ma Su Xia Luo Zi Hua Chen Ming Hua Cong Hu Ma Chun Ling Zhou Wei Wang Qi Luo Yong Mei Shi Yu Mei Qi Hai Ping Jiang Wen Xian Guan Jun Qiang Chen Jia Xin Chen Yu Fang Lan Zhou Yong Dong Feng Rong Shao Tan Tao Li Jun Wen Ou Qing Chuan Zhao Jian Xiong Wu Chang Wang Han Ping Shi The Investigation on Nutrition Status and Clinical Outcome of Common Cancers (INSCOC) Group 2016Journal of Nutritional Oncology2016,1,1:7
Hub genes and key pathways of traumatic brain injury: bioinformatics analysis and in vivo validation显示文摘The exact mechanisms associated with secondary brain damage following traumatic brain injury(TBI)remain unclear;therefore, identifying the critical molecular mechanisms involved in TBI is essential. The m RNA expression microarray GSE2871 was downloaded from the Gene Expression Omnibus(GEO)repository.GSE2871 comprises a total of 31 cerebral cortex samples, including two post-TBI time points. The microarray features eight control and seven TBI samples, from 4 hours post-TBI,and eight control and eight TBI samples from 24 hours post-TBI.In this bioinformatics-based study,109 and 66 differentially expressed genes(DEGs)were identified in a Sprague-Dawley(SD)rat TBI model,4 and 24 hours post-TBI,respectively.Functional enrichment analysis showed that the identified DEGs were significantly enriched in several terms, such as positive regulation of nuclear factor-κB transcription factor activity,mitogen-activated protein kinase signaling pathway, negative regulation of apoptotic process, and tumor necrosis factor signaling pathway. Moreover, the hub genes with high connectivity degrees were primarily related to inflammatory mediators. To validate the top five hub genes,a rat model of TBI was established using the weight-drop method, and real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction analysis of the cerebral cortex was performed. The results showed that compared with control rats,Tnf-α,c-Myc,Spp1,Cxcl10,Ptprc,Egf,Mmp9,and Lcn2 were upregulated, and Fn1 was downregulated in TBI rats.Among these hub genes,Fn1,c-Myc,and Ptprc may represent novel biomarkers or therapeutic targets for TBI.These identified pathways and key genes may provide insights into the molecular mechanisms of TBI and provide potential treatment targets for patients with TBI.This study was approved by the Experimental Animal Ethics Committee of the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University,China(approval No.003)in January 2016.Yun-Liang Tang Long-Jun Fang Ling-Yang Zhong Jian Jiang Xiao-Yang Dong Zhen Feng 2020Neural Regeneration Research2020,15,12:7
Validity of the Chinese Version of the Patient-Generated Subjective Global Assessment (PG-SGA) in Gastric Cancer Patients显示文摘Purpose Malnutrition is severe among gastric cancer patients in China. While the Patient-Generated Subjective Global Assessment (PG-SGA) is a widely used nutritional assessment tool, the validation for Chinese patients with gastric cancer has not been performed yet. The aim of this research is to validate the Chinese version of the PGSGA in Chinese gastric cancer patients by conducting analyses of nutrition screening and assessment data. Methods Two thousand consecutive adult patients with gastric cancer were included in this observational, cross-sectional study in several tertiary hospitals in China. A survey was made among those patients, which included several questionnaires and some anthropometric parameters. We calculated the parameters to validate the use of PG-SGA categorizing the nutritional status of gastric cancer patients. Then we performed statistical analysis to evaluate the internal consistency, external consistency, and construct validity. Results This study verified the ability of the PG-SGA to differentiate gastric cancer patients into different nutritional groups. The confirmatory factor analysis verified the original four-factor structure of the PG-SGA. The internal and external consistency was measured by a concordance analysis which showed an intraclass correlation coefficients (ICC) of 0.987. The correlations of the Box 4 score with the Karnofsky performance status score demonstrated alternative form validity with good external consistency (Pearson, r = 0.643, P < 0.001). All three anthropometric dimensions of the PG-SGA were supported by principal component analysis. Spearman correlations (P < 0.001) were significant in the majority of tests. Conclusion The Chinese version of the PG-SGA is a valid tool to access the patients’ nutritional status for Chinese gastric patients.Zhen Ming Fu Hong Xia Xu Chun Hua Song Wei Li Zeng Qing Guo Yuan Lin Ying Ying Shi Wen Hu Yi Ba Su Yi Li Zeng Ning Li Kun Hua Wang Jing Wu Ying He Jia Jun Yang Cong Hua Xie Xin Xia Song Gong Yan Chen Wen Jun Ma Su Xia Luo Zi Hua Chen Ming Hua Cong Hu Ma Chun Ling Zhou Wei Wang Qi Luo Yong Mei Shi Yu Mei Qi Hai Ping Jiang Wen Xian Guan Jun Qiang Chen Jia Xin Chen Yu Fang Lan Zhou Yong Dong Feng Rong Shao Tan Tao Li Jun Wen Ou Qing Chuan Zhao Jian Xiong Wu Chang Wang Han Ping Shi The Investigation on Nutrition Status and Clinical Outcome of Common Cancers (INSCOC) Group 2018Journal of Nutritional Oncology2018,3,4:5

In situ observation of C_(60)(C(COOH)_(2))_(2) interacting with living cells using fluorescence microscopy显示文摘The interactions between nanoparticles and living cells were investigated by an imaging technique of fluorescence microscopy. For this pur- pose, the C60 derivative C60(C(COOH)2)2, a thera- peutic agent for degeneration diseases of central nervous system, was synthesized, purified and characterized. Its interaction with the living cell and penetration of the cellular membrane were in situ studied using the real time imaging technique, and its potential cytotoxicity was also examined by flow cy- tometry. The results indicate that C60(C(COOH)2)2 can easily enter cells, and is mainly located in cytoplasm by fluorescein labeling. Furthermore, C60(C(COOH)2)2 can carry the molecule that cannot cross cellular membranes into cells, because fluo- rescein compound itself cannot enter the cell or ad- here to membrane. At concentrations ranging from 1×10?2 to 1×102 mg/L, C60(C(COOH)2)2 does not show any detectable cytotoxicity.YE Chang CHEN Chunying CHEN Zhen MENG Huan XING Li JIANG Yaxin YUAN Hui XING Gengmei ZHAO Feng ZHAO Yuliang CHAI Zhifang FANG Xiaohong HAN Dong CHEN Long WANG Chen WEI Taotao 2006Chinese Science Bulletin2006,51,9:4
Effects of Acetylsalicylic Acid and Calcium Chloride on Photosynthetic Apparatus and Reactive Oxygen-Scavenging Enzymes in Chrysanthemum Under Low Temperature Stress with Low Light显示文摘The effects of acetylsalicylic acid (ASA), CaCl2, and ASA + CaCl2 on the photosynthetic apparatus and antioxidant enzyme activities were investigated in chrysanthemum Jinba (a cut flower cultivar) under low temperature stress with low light (TL stress) (16/12°C, day/night, PFD 100 μmol m-2 s-1). The results showed that under TL stress, the net photosynthesis rate (Pn), carboxylation efficiency (CE), apparent quantum yield (AQY), maximal photochemical efficiency (Fv/Fm) of PSII, quantum yield of PSII electron transport (φPSII), and photochemical quenching (qP) of the chrysanthemum leaves in all treatments were significantly decreased, but the decreases were alleviated by ASA, CaCl2, and ASA + CaCl2 treatments compared with the controls. The alleviating effect of ASA + CaCl2 was better than either ASA or CaCl2 single treatment. Moreover, the ASA + CaCl2 treatment highly improved the chlorophyll content, relatively improved the number and size of chloroplast and starch grain in the leaves of chrysanthemum plants compared with ASA and CaCl2 treatments. It was indicated that ASA and/or CaCl2 could regulate the photosynthetic functions in the leaves of chrysanthemum plants to enhance the resistance against TL stress. On the other hand, reduction in relative conductance rate implied that ASA and/ or CaCl2 could protect from membrane injury in leaves of chrysanthemum plants. The activities of SOD, POD, and CAT in the treated leaves of chrysanthemum were increased as compared with the controls. It was suggested that ASA and/or CaCl2 had positive regulation effects on the defence enzyme activities in chrysanthemum leaves which could protect the photosynthetic apparatus to a certain degree under the TL stress. In brief, the treatment of ASA together with CaCl2 was better for chrysanthemum plants to adapt TL stress than single ASA or CaCl2 treatments.FENG Zhen LIANG Fang ZHENG Cheng-shu SHU Huai-rui SUN Xian-zhi Yoo Yong-kweon 2010Agricultural Sciences in China2010,9,12:4
Evaluation of multi-cycle performance of chemical looping dry reforming using CO_2 as an oxidant with Fe–Ni bimetallic oxides显示文摘Chemical looping dry reforming(CLDR) is an innovative technology for CO_2 utilization using the chemical looping principle. The CLDR process consists of three stages,i.e.CH4 reduction,CO_2 reforming, and air oxidation.Spinel nickel ferrite(NiFe_2O_4) was prepared and its multi-cycle performance as an oxygen carrier for CLDR was experimentally investigated.X-ray diffraction(XRD) and Laser Raman spectroscopy showed that a pure spinel crystalline phase(NiFe_2O_4) was obtained by a parallel flow co-precipitating method.NiFe_2O_4was reduced into Fe-Ni alloy and wustite(Fe_xO) during the CH_4 reduction process.Subsequent oxidation of the reduced oxygen carrier was performed with CO_2 as an oxidant to form an intermediate state:a mixture of spinel Ni_(1-x)Fe_(2+x)O_4,Fe_(2+y)O_4 and metallic Ni.And CO was generated in parallel during this stage.Approximate 185 mL of CO was generated for 1 g spinel NiFe_2O_4 in a single cycle. The intermediate oxygen carrier was fully oxidized in the air oxidation stage to form a mixture of Ni_(1+x)Fe_(2-x)O_4 and Fe_2O_3.Although the original state of oxygen carrier(NiFe_2O_4) was not fully regenerated and agglomeration was observed,a good recyclability was shown in 10 successive redox cycles.Zhen Huang Huanqi Jiang Fang He Dezhen Chen Guoqiang Wei Kun Zhao Anqing Zheng Yipeng Feng Zengli Zhao Haibin Li 2016Journal of Energy Chemistry2016,25,1:4
Extension Protocol for the Investigation on Nutrition Status and Clinical Outcome of Patients with Common Cancers in China(INSCOC)Study:2021 update显示文摘Background Malnutrition is common in patients with cancer, and this adversely affects the survival and quality of life of patients.Chinese Society for Nutritional Oncology issued a multi-center,large-scale,long-term follow-up prospective study, the Investigation on Nutrition Status and Clinical Outcome of Patients with Common Cancers in China(INSCOC study)since 2013.This is an extension to the previous 2013-2020 study protocol. This study still sought to:①address the prognostic impact of nutritional factors and quality of life on cancer patient survival;②describe the overall and cancer-specific incidence and/or distribution of malnutrition and different measurements of patient quality of life. Methods and study design This is an observational,multi-centered,hospital-based prospective cohort study.Data collection will be performed at baseline(within 48 hours after patient admission),during the hospital stay and 30 days after hospital admission.Follow-up will be conducted for 1-20 years after enrollment. The primary outcome will be the all-cause mortality/overall survival, and secondary outcomes will be the length of hospital stay and costs of hospitalization.Study factors will include demographic characteristics, tumor characteristics, information about chronic diseases, hematological measurements(e.g.,red blood cell count, total lymphocyte counts,hemoglobin,albumin,prealbumin,creatinine,C-reactive protein,IL-6),anthropometric measurements(e.g.,height,weight,arm circumference, arm muscle circumference, triceps skinfold thickness, and waist circumference),body composition parameters,PG-SGA scores, quality of life(as indicated by the QLQ-C30 questionnaire),muscle mass(as indicated by the calf circumference),muscle strength(as indicated by the handgrip strength),muscle function(as indicated by the six-meter walking speed test)and physical status assessments(as indicated by the Karnofsky Performance Status scores). This clinical study protocol was approved by local Ethics Committees of all the participating hospitals.Written informed consent is required for each subject included.Discussion This multi-center,large-scale,long-term follow up prospective study will help improve the diagnosis of malnutrition in cancer patients and identify the risk factors associated with adverse clinical outcomes. The anticipated results of this study will highlight the need for a truly scientific appraisal of nutrition therapy in Chinese oncology populations, and finally help treat the potentially reversible elements of malnutrition in cancer patients to improve their clinical outcomes in the future.Hong Xia Xu Chun Hua Song Liang Yu Yin Chang Wang Zhen Ming Fu Zeng Qing Guo Yuan Lin Ying Ying Shi Wen Hu Yi Ba Su Yi Li Zeng Ning Li Kun Hua Wang Jing Wu Ying He Jia Jun Yang Cong Hua Xie Fu Xiang Zhou Xin Xia Song Gong Yan Chen Wen Jun Ma Su Xia Luo Zi Hua Chen Zhi Kang Chen Ming Hua Cong Hu Ma Chun Ling Zhou Wei Wang Qi Luo Yong Mei Shi Yu Mei Qi Hai Ping Jiang Wen Xian Guan Jun Qiang Chen Xiang Hua Wu Jia Xin Chen Yu Fang Lan Zhou Yong Dong Feng Rong Shao Tan Tao Li Jun Wen Ou Qing Chuan Zhao Jian Xiong Wu Min Weng Qing Hua Yao Ya Yin Yu Quan Jun Lyu Hong Qiu Ming Liu Wei Li Han Ping Shi The Investigation on Nutrition Status and Clinical Outcome of Common Cancers(INSCOC)Group 2022Journal of Nutritional Oncology2022,7,2:3
Interfacial engineering of printable bottom back metal electrodes for full-solution processed flexible organic solar cells显示文摘Printing of metal bottom back electrodes of flexible organic solar cells(FOSCs) at low temperature is of great significance to realize the full-solution fabrication technology. However, this has been difficult to achieve because often the interfacial properties of those printed electrodes, including conductivity, roughness, work function, optical and mechanical flexibility, cannot meet the device requirement at the same time. In this work, we fabricate printed Ag and Cu bottom back cathodes by a low-temperature solution technique named polymer-assisted metal deposition(PAMD) on flexible PET substrates. Branched polyethylenimine(PEI) and ZnO thin films are used as the interface modification layers(IMLs) of these cathodes. Detailed experimental studies on the electrical, mechanical, and morphological properties, and simulation study on the optical properties of these IMLs are carried out to understand and optimize the interface of printed cathodes. We demonstrate that the highest power conversion efficiency over 3.0% can be achieved from a full-solution processed OFSC with the device structure being PAMDAg/PEI/P3 HT:PC_(61)BM/PH1000. 17Simultaneous acquisition of multi-nuclei enhanced NMR/MRI by solution-state dynamic nuclear polarization显示文摘Dynamic nuclear polarization(DNP) has become a very important hyperpolarization method because it can dramatically increase the sensitivity of nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR) of various molecules.Liquid-state DNP based on Overhauser effect is capable of directly enhancing polarization of all kinds of nuclei in the system. The combination of simultaneous Overhauser multi-nuclei enhancements with the multi-nuclei parallel acquisitions provides a variety of important applications in both MR spectroscopy(MRS) and image(MRI).Here we present two simple illustrative examples for simultaneously enhanced multi-nuclear spectra and images to demonstrate the principle and superiority. We have observed very large simultaneous DNP enhancements for different nuclei, such as ~1H and ^(23)Na,~1H and ^(31)P,^(19)F and ^(31)P,especially for the first time to report sodium ion enhancement in liquid. We have also obtained the simultaneous images of ^(19)H and ^(31)P,^(19)F and ^(31)P at low field by solution-state DNP for the first time.Yugui He Zhen Zhang Jiwen Feng Chongyang Huang Fang Chen Chaoyang Liu Maili Liu 2016Science China Chemistry2016,59,7:2
Inverted U-Shaped Associations between Glycemic Indices and Serum Uric Acid Levels in the General Chinese Population:Findings from the China Cardiometabolic Disease and Cancer Cohort(4C)Study显示文摘Objective The relationship between serum uric acid(SUA)levels and glycemic indices, including plasma glucose(FPG),2-hour postload glucose(2 h-PG),and glycated hemoglobin(HbA1 c),remains inconclusive. We aimed to explore the associations between glycemic indices and SUA levels in the general Chinese population. Methods The current study was a cross-sectional analysis using the first follow-up survey data from The China Cardiometabolic Disease and Cancer Cohort Study.A total of 105,922 community-dwelling adults aged≥40 years underwent the oral glucose tolerance test and uric acid assessment. The nonlinear relationships between glycemic indices and SUA levels were explored using generalized additive models. Results A total of 30,941 men and 62,361 women were eligible for the current analysis.Generalized additive models verified the inverted U-shaped association between glycemic indices and SUA levels, but with different inflection points in men and women. The thresholds for FPG,2 h-PG,and HbA1 c for men and women were 6.5/8.0 mmol/L,11.0/14.0 mmol/L,and 6.1/6.5,respectively(SUA levels increased with increasing glycemic indices before the inflection points and then eventually decreased with further increases in the glycemic indices). Conclusion An inverted U-shaped association was observed between major glycemic indices and uric acid levels in both sexes, while the inflection points were reached earlier in men than in women.ZHU Yuan Yue ZHENG Rui Zhi WANG Gui Xia CHEN Li SHI Li Xin SU Qing XU Min XU Yu CHEN Yu Hong YU Xue Feng YAN Li WANG Tian Ge ZHAO Zhi Yun QIN Gui Jun WAN Qin CHEN Gang GAO Zheng Nan SHEN Fei Xia LUO Zuo Jie QIN Ying Fen HUO Ya Nan LI Qiang YE Zhen ZHANG Yin Fei LIU Chao WANG You Min WU Sheng Li YANG Tao DENG Hua Cong ZHAO Jia Jun CHEN Lu Lu MU Yi Ming TANG Xu Lei HU Ru Ying WANG Wei Qing NING Guang LI Mian LU Jie Li BI Yu Fang 2021Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2021,34,1:2
Comparison of acute pneumonia caused by SARS-CoV-2 and other respiratory viruses in children:a retrospective multi-center cohort study during COVID-19 outbreak显示文摘Background:Until January 18,2021,coronavirus disease-2019(COVID-19)has infected more than 93 million individuals and has caused a certain degree of panic.Viral pneumonia caused by common viruses such as respiratory syncytial virus, rhinovirus, human metapneumovirus, human bocavirus, and parainfluenza viruses have been more common in children. However, the incidence of COVID-19 in children was significantly lower than that in adults. The purpose of this study was to describe the clinical manifestations, treatment and outcomes of COVID-19 in children compared with those of other sources of viral pneumonia diagnosed during the COVID-19 outbreak. Methods:Children with COVID-19 and viral pneumonia admitted to 20 hospitals were enrolled in this retrospective multi-center cohort study.A total of 64 children with COVID-19 were defined as the COVID-19 cohort,of which 40 children who developed pneumonia were defined as the COVID-19 pneumonia cohort.Another 284 children with pneumonia caused by other viruses were defined as the viral pneumonia cohort. The epidemiologic, clinical, and laboratory findings were compared by Kolmogorov-Smirnov test,t-test,Mann-Whitney U test and Contingency table method.Drug usage, immunotherapy, blood transfusion, and need for oxygen support were collected as the treatment indexes.Mortality, intensive care needs and symptomatic duration were collected as the outcome indicators. Results:Compared with the viral pneumonia cohort, children in the COVID-19 cohort were mostly exposed to family members confirmed to have COVID-19(53/64 vs.23/284),were of older median age(6.3 years vs.3.2 years),and had a higher proportion of ground-glass opacity(GGO)on computed tomography(18/40 vs.0/38,P<0.001).Children in the COVID-19 pneumonia cohort had a lower proportion of severe cases(1/40 vs.38/284,P=0.048),and lower cases with high fever(3/40 vs.167/284,P<0.001),requiring intensive care(1/40 vs.32/284,P<0.047)and with shorter symptomatic duration(median 5d vs.8d,P<0.001).The proportion of cases with evaluated inflammatory indicators, biochemical indicators related to organ or tissue damage,D-dimer and secondary bacterial infection were lower in the COVID-19 pneumonia cohort than those in the viral pneumonia cohort(P<0.05).No statistical differences were found in the duration of positive PCR results from pharyngeal swabs in 25 children with COVID-19 who received antiviral drugs(lopinavir-ritonavir,ribavirin,and arbidol)as compared with duration in 39 children without antiviral therapy(median 10d vs.9d,P=0.885).Conclusions:The symptoms and severity of COVID-19 pneumonia in children were no more severe than those in children with other viral pneumonia.Lopinavir-ritonavir,ribavirin and arbidol do not shorten the duration of positive PCR results from pharyngeal swabs in children with COVID-19.During the COVID-19 outbreak, attention also must be given to children with infection by other pathogens infection.Guang-Li Ren Xian-Feng Wang Jun Xu Jun Li Qiong Meng Guo-Qiang Xie Bo Huang Wei-Chun Zhu Jing Lin Cheng-He Tang Sheng Ye Zhuo Li Jie Zhu Zhen Tang Ming-Xin Ma Cong Xie Ying-Wen Wu Chen-Xi Liu Fang Yang Yu-Zong Zhou Ying Zheng Shu-Ling Lan Jian-Feng Chen Feng Ye Yu He BenQing Wu Long Chen Si-Mao Fu Cheng-Zhong Zheng Yuan Shi 2021Military Medical Research2021,8,4:2
