1Neuronal apoptosis in cerebral ischemia/reperfusion area following electrical stimulation of fastigial nucleus显示文摘Previous studies have indicated that electrical stimulation of the cerebellar fastigial nucleus in rats may reduce brain infarct size, increase the expression of Ku70 in cerebral ischemia/ reperfusion area, and decrease the number of apoptotic neurons. However, the anti-apoptotic mechanism of Ku70 remains unclear. In this study, fastigial nucleus stimulation was given to rats 24, 48, and 72 hours before cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury. Results from the electrical stimulation group revealed that rats exhibited a reduction in brain infarct size, a significant increase in the expression of Ku70 in cerebral ischemia/reperfusion regions, and a decreased number of terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase dUTP nick end labeling(TUNEL)-positive cells. Double immunofluorescence staining revealed no co-localization of Ku70 with TUNEL-positive cells. However, Ku70 partly co-localized with Bax protein in the cytoplasm of rats with cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury. 3Coordinated Scheduling of Energy Resources for Distributed DHCs in an Integrated Energy Grid显示文摘As more and more distributed renewable energy resources connected to electric power grids,the conventional power system evolves into an integrated energy grid(IEG)in order to satisfy various types of energy demands.This paper proposes a model of the coordinated scheduling of energy resources(CSoERs)for distributed district heating and cooling systems(DHCs)in an IEG.The model takes into consideration both the dispatchable grid-connected generators and distributed renewable energy resources,such as wind energy,solar energy and natural gas.The objective is to minimize the operation costs in the IEG in order to satisfy not only the electrical loads but also the heating loads and cooling loads.Furthermore,an energy storage system for heating loads and cooling loads is also developed in the DHCs to improve the operation reliability in the distributed DHCs.Detailed simulation studies are carried out to verify the effectiveness of the CSoERs under two different operation scenarios:grid-connected scenario and stand-alone scenario.Simulation results demonstrate that the performance of the CSoERs contributes to significant energy saving and reliability operation in both grid-connected scenario and standalone scenario in the IEG.Qinghua Wu Jiehui Zheng Zhaoxia Jing 2015CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2015,1,1:21
4Advances in Cloud Physics and Weather Modification in China显示文摘The capabilities of cloud-resolving numerical models, observational instruments and cloud seeding have improved greatly over recent years in China. The subject of this review focuses on the main progresses made in China in the areas of cloud modeling, field observations, aerosol–cloud interactions, the effects of urbanization on cloud and precipitation, and weather modification.Well-equipped aircraft and ground-based advanced Doppler and polarized radars have been rapidly applied in cloudseeding operations. The combined use of modern techniques such as the Global Positioning System, remote sensing, and Geographical Information Systems has greatly decreased the blindness and uncertainties in weather-modification activities.Weather-modification models based on state-of-the-art cloud-resolving models are operationally run at the National Weather Modification Centre in China for guiding weather-modification programs.Despite important progress having been made, many critical issues or challenges remain to be solved, or require stronger scientific evidence and support, such as the chain of physical events involved in the effects induced by cloud seeding. Current important progresses in measurements and seeding techniques provide the opportunity and possibility to reduce these deficiencies. 5A study of the mechanism of enhancing oil recovery using supercritical carbon dioxide microemulsions显示文摘Supercritical carbon dioxide (scCO 2) microemulsion was formed by supercritical CO 2 , H 2 O, sodium bis(2-ethylhexyl) sulfosuccinate (AOT, surfactant) and C 2 H 5 OH (co-surfactant) under pressures higher than 8 MPa at 45 oC. The fundamental characteristics of the scCO 2 microemulsion and the minimum miscibility pressure (MMP) with Daqing oil were investigated with a high-pressure falling sphere viscometer, a high-pressure interfacial tension meter, a PVT cell and a slim tube test. The mechanism of the scCO 2 microemulsion for enhancing oil recovery is discussed. The results showed that the viscosity and density of the scCO 2 microemulsion were higher than those of the scCO 2 fluid at the same pressure and temperature. The results of interfacial tension and slim tube tests indicated that the MMP of the scCO 2 microemulsion and crude oil was lower than that of the scCO 2 and crude oil at 45 oC. 8Influence of surfactants used in surfactant-polymer flooding on the stability of Gudong crude oil emulsion显示文摘The influences of an anionic-nonionic composite surfactant and petroleum sulfonate, used in surfactant-polymer flooding in Shengli Gudong oilfield, East China, on the interfacial properties of Gudong crude model oil and synthetic formation water was studied by measuring interfacial tension, interfacial viscoelasticity and Zeta potential. The in? uence of the surfactants on the stability of Gudong water-in-oil (W/O) and oil-in-water (O/W) emulsions was evaluated by separating water from the W/O emulsion and residual oil in the aqueous phase of the O/W emulsion respectively. The results showed that the two kinds of surfactants, namely anionic-nonionic composite surfactant and petroleum sulfonate, are both able to decrease the interfacial tension between the oil phase and the aqueous phase and increase the surface potential of the oil droplets dispersed in the O/W emulsion, which can enhance the stability of the W/O and O/W crude oil emulsions. 9Expression of SoxC Transcription Factors during Zebrafish Retinal and Optic Nerve Regeneration显示文摘The SoxC transcription factors(Sox4,Sox11,and Sox12) play important roles in the development of the vertebrate eye and retina. However,their expression and function during retinal and optic nerve regeneration remain elusive. In this study,we investigated the expression and possible functions of the SoxC genes after retinal and optic nerve injury in adult zebrafish. We found that among the five SoxC members,Sox11b was strongly induced in BrdU-positive cells in the inner nuclear layer(INL) after retinal injury,and morpholino-mediated Sox11b-knockdown significantly reduced the number of proliferating cells in the INL at 4 days post-injury. After optic nerve lesion,both Sox11a and Sox11b were strongly expressed in retinal ganglion cells(RGCs),and knockdown of both Sox11a and Sox11b inhibited RGC axon regrowth in retinal explants. 10Dispersion polymerization of anionic polyacrylamide in an aqueous salt medium显示文摘Anionic polyacrylamide dispersions were prepared by dispersion polymerization in an aqueous salt medium, using acrylamide(AM) and acrylic acid(AA) as monomers and anionic polyelectrolytes as stabilizer. Effects of salt concentration, and molecular weight and concentration of stabilizers on the stability of the dispersions were investigated using a HAAKE rheometer and optical microscopy. The results showed that stable anionic polyacrylamide dispersions, consisting of smooth, spherical, polydisperse particles, could be obtained under the conditions of salt concentration ranging from 26 wt% to 30 wt%, concentration of stabilizers from 1.2 wt% to 1.8 wt%, and intrinsic viscosity of stabilizers from 2.98 dL·g-1 to 3.74 dL·g-1 . 12Actual evapotranspiration of subalpine meadows in the Qilian Mountains, Northwest China显示文摘As a main component in water balance,evapotranspiration(ET)is of great importance for water saving,especially in arid and semi-arid areas.In this study,the FAO(Food and Agriculture Organization)Penman-Monteith model was used to estimate the magnitude and temporal dynamics of reference evapotranspiration(ET0)in 2014 in subalpine meadows of the Qilian Mountains,Northwest China.Meanwhile,actual ET(ETc)was also investigated by the eddy covariance(EC)system.Results indicated that ETc estimated by the EC System was 583 mm,lower than ET0(923 mm)estimated by the FAO Penman-Monteith model in 2014.Moreover,ET0 began to increase in March and reached the peak value in August and then declined in September,however,ETc began to increase from April and reached the peak value in July,and then declined in August.Total ETc and ET0 values during the growing season(from May to September)were 441 and 666 mm,respectively,which accounted for 75.73%of annual cumulative ETc and 72.34%of annual cumulative ET0,respectively.A crop coefficient(kc)was also estimated for calculating the ETc,and average value of kc during the growing season was 0.81(ranging from 0.45 to 1.16).Air temperature(Ta),wind speed(u),net radiation(Rn)and soil temperature(Ts)at the depth of 5 cm and aboveground biomass were critical factors for affecting kc,furthermore,a daily empirical kc equation including these main driving factors was developed.Our result demonstrated that the ETc value estimated by the data of kc and ET0 was validated and consistent with the growing season data in 2015 and 2016.GAO Yunfei ZHAO Chuanyan Muhammad W ASHIQ WANG Qingtao RONG Zhanlei LIU Junjie MAO Yahua GUO Zhaoxia WANG Wenbin 2019Journal of Arid Land2019,11,3:8
13Modeling CADASIL vascular pathologies with patient-derived induced pluripotent stem cells显示文摘Cerebral autosomal dominant arteriopathy with subcortical infarcts and leukoencephalopathy(CADASIL)is a rare hereditary cerebrovascular disease caused by a NOTCH3 mutation.However,the underlying cellular and molecular mechanisms remain unidentified.Here,we generated non-integrative induced pluripotent stem cells(iPSCs)from fibroblasts of a CADASIL patient harboring a heterozygous NOTCH3 mutation(c.3226C>T,p.R1076C).Vascular smooth muscle cells(VSMCs)differentiated from CADASIL-specific iPSCs showed gene expression changes associated with disease phenotypes,including activation of the NOTCH and NF-kB signaling pathway,cytoskeleton disorganization,and excessive cell proliferation.In comparison,these abnormalities were not observed in vascular endothelial cells(VECs)derived from the patients iPSCs.Importantly,the abnormal upregulation of NF-kB target genes in CADASIL VSMCs was diminished by a NOTCH pathway inhibitor,providing a potential therapeutic strategy for CADASIL.Overall,using this iPSCbased disease model,our study identified clues for studying the pathogenic mechanisms of CADASIL and developing treatment strategies for this disease.Chen Ling Zunpeng Liu Moshi Song Weiqi Zhang Si Wang Xiaoqian Liu Shuai Ma Shuhui Sun Lina Fu Qun Chu Juan Carlos Izpisua Belmonte Zhaoxia Wang Jing Qu Yun Yuan Guang-Hui Liu 2019Protein & Cell2019,10,4:7

15Optimal Operation of Integrated Energy Systems Subject to Coupled Demand Constraints of Electricity and Natural Gas显示文摘This paper proposes a hybrid multi-objective optimization and game-theoretic approach(HMOGTA)to achieve the optimal operation of integrated energy systems(IESs)consisting of electricity and natural gas(E&G)utility networks,multiple distributed energy stations(DESs),and multiple energy users(EUs).The HMOGTA aims to solve the coordinated operation strategy of the electricity and natural gas networks considering the demand characteristics of DESs and EUs.In the HMOGTA,a hierarchical Stackelberg game model is developed for generating equilibrium strategies of DESs and EUs in each district energy network(DEN).Based on the game results,we obtain the coupling demand constraints of electricity and natural gas(CDCENs)which reflect the relationship between the amounts and prices of electricity and cooling(E&C)that DESs purchase from utility networks.Furthermore,the minimization of conflicting costs of E&G networks considering the CDCENs are solved by a multi-objective optimization method.A case study is conducted on a test IES composed of a 20-node natural gas network,a modified IEEE 30-bus system,and 3 DENs,which verifies the effectiveness of the proposed HMOGTA to realize fair treatment for all participants in the IES.Yingjie Qin Lilan Wu Jiehui Zheng Mengshi Li Zhaoxia Jing Q.H.Wu Xiaoxin Zhou Feng Wei 2020CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2020,6,2:7

17Sizing optimization for island microgrid with pumped storage system considering demand response显示文摘Currently, small islands are facing an energy supply shortage, which has led to considerable concern.Establishing an island microgrid is a relatively good solution to the problem. However, high investment costs restrict its application. In this paper, micro pumped storage(MPS) is used as an energy storage system(ESS) for islands with good geographical conditions, and deferrable appliance is treated as the virtual power source which can be used in the planning and operational processes.Household acceptance of demand response(DR) is indicated by the demand response participation degree(DRPD), and a sizing optimization model for considering the demand response of household appliances in an island microgrid is proposed. The particle swarm optimization(PSO) is used to obtain the optimal sizing of all major devices. In addition, the battery storage(BS) scheme is used as the control group. 18Mechanical assisted electroless barrel-plating Ni-P coatings on magnesium alloy显示文摘A mechanically assisted electroless barrel-plating Ni-P was carried out in a rolling drum containing Mg alloy specimens and ceramic balls, which was submerged in a bath containing electroless plating solution. It is demonstrated that the Ni-P coatings deposited by this novel technique have a crystallized Ni-P solid solution structure, showing fine-grains, higher hardness, and higher corrosion resistance compared with the conventional electroless plated amorphous Ni-P coatings. After heat treatment at 400 ℃ for 1 h, the structure of such Ni-P coatings were transformed to a structure with Ni-Ni3P double phases, and cracks in these coatings could not be observed, whereas cracks appeared seriously in the conventional electroless plated Ni-P coating after same heat treatment. Therefore, both hardness and corrosion resistance of these Ni-P coatings can be improved further by heat treatment. 19Progress on the application of electrochemiluminescence biosensor based on nanomaterials显示文摘Electrogenerated chemiluminescence, also known as electrochemiluminescence, abbreviated ECL, is a new technology combining electrochemistry and chemiluminescence. It is generated by high-energy electrons generated on the surface of the electrode in the emission process of excited state photons formed in the transfer process, and is a perfect combination of electrochemistry and spectroscopy. It not only has the advantages of good environment, high luminosity and wide dynamic range, but also has the characteristics of simple, stable and practical electrochemical methods, and nearly zero background signals. With the rapid development of nanomaterials, due to their unique electrical properties, large specific surface area, good biocompatibility and other characteristics, various nanomaterials have been widely used in the field of biosensors and sensitive detection.
