| 1 | Biofilm Microenvironment-Responsive Nanotheranostics for Dual-Mode Imaging and Hypoxia-Relief-Enhanced Photodynamic Therapy of Bacterial Infections显示文摘The formation of bacterial biofilms closely associates with infectious diseases.Until now,precise diagnosis and effective treatment of bacterial biofilm infections are still in great need.Herein,a novel multifunctional theranostic nanoplatform based on MnO_(2)nanosheets(MnO_(2)NSs)has been designed to achieve pH-responsive dual-mode imaging and hypoxia-relief-enhanced antimicrobial photodynamic therapy(aPDT)of bacterial biofilm infections.In this study,MnO_(2)NSs were modified with bovine serum albumin(BSA)and polyethylene glycol(PEG)and then loaded with chlorin e_(6)(Ce_(6))as photosensitizer to form MnO_(2)-BSA/PEG-Ce_(6)nanosheets(MBP-Ce_(6)NSs).After being delivered into the bacterial biofilm-infected tissues,the MBP-Ce_(6)NSs could be decomposed in acidic biofilm microenvironment and release Ce_(6)with Mn^(2+),which subsequently activate both fluorescence(FL)and magnetic resonance(MR)signals for effective dual-mode FL/MR imaging of bacterial biofilm infections.Meanwhile,MnO_(2)could catalyze the decomposing of H2O_(2)in biofilm-infected tissues into O_(2)and relieve the hypoxic condition of biofilm,which significantly enhances the efficacy of aPDT.An in vitro study showed that MBP-Ce_(6)NSs could significantly reduce the number of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus(MRSA)in biofilms after 635nm laser irradiation.Guided by FL/MR imaging,MRSA biofilm-infected mice can be efficiently treated by MBP-Ce_(6)NSs-based aPDT.Overall,MBP-Ce_(6)NSs not only possess biofilm microenvironment-responsive dual-mode FL/MR imaging ability but also have significantly enhanced aPDT efficacy by relieving the hypoxia habitat of biofilm,which provides a promising theranostic nanoplatform for bacterial biofilm infections. | Weijun Xiu Siyu Gan Qirui Wen Qiu Qiu Sulai Dai Heng Dong Qiang Li Lihui Yuwen Lixing Weng Zhaogang Teng Yongbin Mou Lianhui Wang | 2020 | Research2020,,1: | 7 |

| 3 | Construction of the Continental Asia in Phanerozoic:A Review显示文摘This is a review of the formation and tectonic evolution of the continental Asia in Phanerozoic.The continental Asia has formed on the bases of some pre-Cambrian cratons,such as the Siberia,India,Arabia,North China,Tarim,South China,and Indochina,through multi-stage plate convergence and collisional collages in Phanerozoic.The north-central Asia had experienced the expansion and subduction of the Paleo-Asian Ocean(PAO)in the early Paleozoic and the closure of the PAO in the late Paleozoic and early Mesozoic,forming the PAO regime and Central Asian orogenic belt(CAOB).In the core of the CAOB,the Mongol-Okhotsk Ocean(MOO)opened with limited expansion in the Early Permian and finally closed in the Late Jurassic–Early Cretaceous.The south-central Asia had experienced mainly multi-stage oceanic opening,subduction and collision evolution in the Tethys Ocean,forming the Tethys regime and Himalaya-Tibetan orogenic belt.In eastern Asia,the plate subduction and continental margin orogeny on western margin of the Pacific Ocean,forms the West Pacific regime and West Pacific orogenic belt.The PAO,Tethys,and West Pacific regimes,together with Precambrian cratons among or surrounding them,made up the major tectonic and dynamic systems of the continental Asia in Phanerozoic.Major tectonic events,such as the Early Paleozoic Qilian,Uralian,and Dunhuang orogeneses,the late Paleozoic East Junggar,Tianshan and West Junggar orogeneses,the Middle to Late Permian Ailaoshan orogeny and NorthSouth Lhasa collision,the early Mesozoic Indochina-South China and North-South China collisions,the late Mesozoic Mongolia-Okhotsk orogeny,Lhasa-Qiangtang collision,and intra-continental Yanshanian orogeny,and the Cenozoic IndoAsian,Arab-Asian,and West Pacific margin collisions,constrained the formation and evolution of the continental Asia.The complex dynamic systems have left large number of deformation features,such as large-scale strike-slip faults,thrustfold systems and extensional detachments on the continental Asia.Based on past tectonics,a future supercontinent,the Ameurasia,is prospected for the development of the Asia in ca.250 Myr. | CHEN Xuanhua DONG Shuwen SHI Wei DING Weicui ZHANG Yiping LI Bing SHAO Zhaogang WANG Ye | 2022 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2022,96,1: | 3 |

| 11 | Definition of the Quaternary Qiangtang Paleolake in Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau, China显示文摘Since the Quaternary, many lakes have been present in the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau. As peculiar geological processes in the evolution of the uplifting of Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau, the distributions and evolutions of the Quaternary paleolakes in the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau have been the focus of interest among the international geosciences circle. Comparisons of the newly obtained and existing data from field surveys, remote sensing images, characteristics of tectonic landforms and distribution of the lacustrine strata, the author have, for the first time, defined a large-sized Quaternary Qiangtang Paleolake. The paleolake starts from the east-westerly direction at Rutog in western Tibet, passing through Gêrzê, and finally ends at Nagqu in eastern Tibet. Its length is approximately 1,200 km; it is about 420 km at its widest point (north-southerly). The Paleolake forms an E-W (or NWW) ellipsoid with an estimated area of 354920 km2 . The Paleolake is bordered by the Mts. Gangdisê and Nyainqêntanglha to the south and the Karakorum Pass-Tozê Kangri-Zangbagangri-Tanggula Pass to the north. It generally appears as a basinal landform with low mountains and valleys in the central part (altitudes of 4400 m) and higher altitudes (5000 m) in the peripheries. The formation and development of the Paleolake was controlled by the nearly E-W trending structures. There are three east-westerly extending tectonic sutures inside the Paleolake area, from north to south: (1) the Shuanghu Suture; (2) the Bangong Co-Nujiang River Suture; (3) the Shiquanhe-Lhari Suture. These three sutures have generally controlled the spreading features of the Paleolake and act as the first grade lake-controlling structures. In the southern Paleolake basin, there are a series of south-northerly rift basins, which are controlled by the normal faults and exist as a series of south-northerly grabens and semi-graben faulted basins. The south-northerly rift zones have clearly exerted control over the south margin of the Paleolake as well as the distribution of the residual lake basins after the Paleolake's break up. They are the secondary lake-controlling tectonics. Discoveries of the lacustrine strata inside the Plateau, especially the successive discoveries of many high-stand lacustrine strata, are direct evidence supporting the existence of the paleolakes in the Plateau. The dating results of the lake-eroded travertine in the Dong Co in the hinterland of the Quaternary Qiangtang Paleolake have revealed that the lake-eroded travertine is of Late Pleistocene sediments. By considering the analysis of the lacustrine strata as well, the researchers have revealed that the Quaternary Qiangtang Paleolake begins its embryonic form in the Early Pleistocene, successively develops till the Middle Pleistocene, and reaches its full blossom in the middle stage of the Late Pleistocene; it further shrinks and separates by the end of the Late Pleistocene, and finally ceases its whole life as the paleolake. After the Holocene, the huge Late Pleistocene Qiangtang Paleolake no longer exists, leaving a series of widely distributed smaller lakes on the Qiangtang Plateau. | 13 | Phase separation and crystallization of La2O3 doped ZnO-B2O3-SiO2 glass显示文摘In order to investigate the effect of the La2O3 on the phase separation and crystallization of ZnO-B2O3-SiO2 glass, after the occurence of the phase separation and crystallization of glasses by heat treatment, the microstructure morphology and distribution of elements in different sample areas were characterized by the scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS);the non-isothermal crystallization kinetics of the glass samples was studied by using a differential scanning calorimeter(DSC) and the precipitated crystals of crystallized glass were determined by the X-ray diffraction(XRD). The results suggest that the phase separation and crystallization of 60ZnO-30 B2O3-10SiO2 glass occur at glass surface, and the incorporation of small amount(<4 mol%) of La2O3 significantly inhibits the glass phase separation and consequently improves the thermal stability of glass.Doping of La2O3 accelerates the glass crystallization at the elevated temperature(660 ℃), making the depth of crystal layer thicker and diffraction intensity in XRD patterns stronger. However, due to the precipitation of several crystals that occur simultaneously when La2O3 doping amount is 4 mol%, crystallization of the 60ZnO-30B2O3-10SiO2 glass is obviously depressed, the crystallization activation energy Ec and the relative crystallinity Xc of the glass reach the maximum and the minimum values, respectively.Although transition from one-dimensional growth of crystals to two-dimensional growth of crystals results from La2O3 addition, the one-dimensional growth of crystals remains dominant in crystallization process. | 14 | Magnetochronology of Late Miocene Mammal Fauna in Xining Basin,NE Tibetan Plateau, China显示文摘The Xining basin is located in the northeastern margin of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. It is a rift basin formed in Mesozoic and Cenozoic and structurally belongs to the intersection of Kunlun and Qilian Mountains. Cenozoic fluvial and lacustrine sedimentary strata are continuous in the Xining basin, with a thickness of more than 800 m, completely recording the deformation uplifting, weathering and denudation history and climate change process of the northeastern plateau. Currently, early Miocene Xijia fauna, early Middle Miocene Danshuilu fauna and late Middle Miocene Diaogou fauna are discovered in the Xining basin, which provide an important basis for the stratigraphic correlation of the Cenozoic strata in the Xining basin. However, in the next few decades, there are no reports about the large mammal fossils in the Xining basin, especially about late Miocene fauna. The author discovered a large amount of mammal fossils in the Neogene sedimentary strata in Huzhu area, Xining basin. According to the identification results of the Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, these fossils mainly included Hipparion dongxiangense, Chilotherium sp., Parelasmotherium sp., Stephanocemas sp. and Kubanochoerus sp. and their age was early Late Miocene. Since the discovery of this set of fossils directly filled the blank that there were no large mammal fossils in the Xining basin in Late Miocene, it was very important for studying the magnetic stratigraphic chronology of fossil-forming strata and establishing the paleomagnetic chronology scale plate of mammal fossils. In this paper, the paleomagnetic data of the fossil-forming stratigraphic profile, Banyan profile, were measured and the paleomagnetic records were collected through high density sampling, and finally the paleomagnetic polarity column of the profile was established. The results showed that five positive and five negative polarity segments were recorded in Banyan profile, which corresponded well to the polarity between C3 Br.1 n-C4 n.2 n in the standard polarity column. The age of profile top was about 7.25 Ma and profile bottom was about 8.4 Ma, with an age range of 1.15 Ma. The mammal fossils discovered this time were exposed between positive and negative polarities N5 and R5 at the bottom of the profile, corresponding to C4 r.1 r at negative polarity and C4 n.2 n at positive polarity in the standard polarity column. The age of mammal fossils was about 8.3 Ma. | 15 | Uniform hierarchical silica film with perpendicular macroporous channels and accessible ordered mesopores for biomolecule separation显示文摘Herein, we demonstrate that silica films with perpendicular macroporous channels and accessible ordered mesopores can be conveniently prepared. The hierarchical macroporous–mesoporous silica films are synthesized by using zinc oxide nanorod array as macroporous template and CTAB surfactant as mesoporous template. In basic surfactant-containing solution, ordered mesoporous silica shells homogeneously grow on the zinc oxide nanorod array. The growth of the mesostructures do not require any chemical modification for the zinc oxide nanorod, which opens a new way for preparing hierarchical silica films with perpendicular mesochannels. The prepared hierarchical macroporous–mesoporous silica films possess a uniform thickness of 2μm, large perpendicular macropores with a length of 1.8μm and a width of 80 nm, and accessible ordered mesopores. | 17 | Soft Mesoporous Organosilica Nanoplatforms Improve Blood Circulation,Tumor Accumulation/Penetration,and Photodynamic Efficacy显示文摘To date,the ability of nanoplatforms to achieve excellent therapeutic responses is hindered by short blood circulation and limited tumor accumulation/penetration.Herein,a soft mesoporous organosilica nanoplatform modified with hyaluronic acid and cyanine 5.5 are prepared,denoted SMONs-HA-Cy5.5,and comparative studies between SMONs-HA-Cy5.5(24.2 MPa)and stiff counterparts(79.2 MPa)are conducted.Results indicate that,apart from exhibiting a twofold increase in tumor cellular uptake,the soft nanoplatforms also display a remarkable pharmacokinetic advantage,resulting in considerably improved tumor accumulation.Moreover,SMONs-HA-Cy5.5 exhibits a significantly higher tumor penetration,achieving 30-μm deeper tissue permeability in multicellular spheroids relative to the stiff counterparts.Results further reveal that the soft nanoplatforms have an easier extravasation from the tumor vessels,diffuse farther in the dense extracellular matrix,and reach deeper tumor tissues compared to the stiff ones.Specifically,the soft nanoplatforms generate a 16-fold improvement(43 vs.2.72μm)in diffusion distance in tumor parenchyma.Based on the significantly improved blood circulation and tumor accumulation/penetration,a soft therapeutic nanoplatform is constructed by loading photosensitizer chlorin e6 in SMONs-HA-Cy5.5.The resulting nanoplatform exhibits considerably higher therapeutic efficacy on tumors compared to the stiff ones. | Xin Peng Kun Chen Wanhua Liu Xiongfeng Cao Mengru Wang Jun Tao Ying Tian Lei Bao Guangming Lu Zhaogang Teng | 2020 | Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,10: | 0 |

| 20 | Investigation on Phase Evolution of the ZnO-B2O3-SiO2 Glass Ceramics显示文摘ZnO-B_2O_3-SiO_2-Al_2O_3-Na_2O glass doped with nucleating agent TiO_2 was prepared with melting-quenching method and the effect of nucleating agent on the crystallization behavior and phase evolution of this glass was investigated by differential thermal analysis(DTA),X-ray diffraction(XRD),and scanning electron microscopy(SEM).The experimental results show that the glass transition temperature and the first crystallization temperature decrease from 630 ℃ and 765 ℃ to 595 ℃ and 740 ℃,respectively,with introduction of TiO_2 into glass.There is no diffraction peaks in the XRD pattern but it is no longer transparent for the base glass without nucleating agent after heat treatment,which suggests the serious phase separation occurred,and the observation by SEM indicates that the phase separation is developed by nucleation and growth mechanism.However,there are two different crystals ZnAl_2O_4 and NaAlSiO_4 present in the glass containing TiO_2 after heat treating at 575 ℃ for 2 h and 740 ℃ for 6 h,respectively.What is interesting is that NaAlSiO_4 disappears as the crystallization time at 740 ℃ increases from 6 h to 12 h,and more ZnAl_2O_4 crystal is formed,namely,the further formation of ZnAl_2O_4 is at cost of NaAlSiO_4 with increasing crystallization time.And observation of the morphology of glass ceramics shows great difference with increasing crystallization time.Moreover,the ability of ZnO-B_2O_3-SiO_2-Al_2O_3-Na_2O glass ceramics against attacking of 1M HCl solution is increased by the crystals precipitated in heat treatment process. | 王觅堂 fang long li mei wang ming liu zhaogang hu yanhong zhang xiaowei | 2016 | Journal of Wuhan University of Technology(Materials Science)2016,31,4: | 0 |
