1Detection of cognitive impairment in patients with obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome using mismatch negativity显示文摘In this experiment,97 patients with obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome were divided into three groups(mild,moderate,severe) according to minimum oxygen saturation,and 35 healthy subjects were examined as controls.Cognitive function was determined using the mismatch negativity paradigm and the Montreal Cognitive Assessment.The results revealed that as the disease worsened,the mismatch negativity latency was gradually extended,and the amplitude gradually declined in patients with obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome.Importantly,mismatch negativity latency in severe patients with a persistent time of minimum oxygen saturation < 60 seconds was significantly shorter than that with a persistent time of minimum oxygen saturation > 60 seconds.Correlation analysis revealed a negative correlation between minimum oxygen saturation latency and Montreal Cognitive Assessment scores.These findings indicate that intermittent night-time hypoxemia affects mismatch negativity waveforms and Montreal Cognitive Assessment scores.As indicators for detecting the cognitive functional status of obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome patients,the sensitivity of mismatch negativity is 82.93%,the specificity is 73.33%,the accuracy rate is 81.52%,the positive predictive value is 85.00%,the negative predictive value is 70.21%,the positive likelihood ratio is 3,and the negative likelihood ratio is 0.23.These results indicate that mismatch negativity can be used as an effective tool for diagnosis of cognitive dysfunction in obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome patients.Xiaohui Wen Ningyu Wang Jinfeng Liu Zhanfeng Yan Zhonghai Xin 2012Neural Regeneration Research2012,7,20:6
2The interaction between grain boundary and tool geometry in nanocutting of a bi-crystal copper显示文摘Anisotropy is one central influencing factor on achievable ultimate machined surface integrity of metallic materials.Specifically,grain boundary has a strong impact on the deformation behaviour of polycrystalline materials and correlated material removal at the microscale.In the present work,we perform molecular dynamics simulations and experiments to elucidate the underlying grain boundaryassociated mechanisms and their correlations with machining results of a bi-crystal Cu under nanocutting using a Berkovich tool.Specifically,crystallographic orientations of simulated bi-crystal Cu with a misorientation angle of 44.1°are derived from electron backscatter diffraction characterization of utilized polycrystalline copper specimen.Simulation results reveal that blocking of dislocation motion at grain boundaries,absorption of dislocations by grain boundaries and dislocation nucleation from grain boundaries are operating deformation modes in nanocutting of the bi-crystal Cu.Furthermore,heterogeneous grain boundary-associated mechanisms in neighbouring grains lead to strong anisotropic machining behaviour in the vicinity of the grain boundary.Simulated machined surface morphology and machining force evolution in the vicinity of grain boundary qualitatively agree well with experimental results.It is also found that the geometry of Berkovich tool has a strong impact on grain boundary-associated mechanisms and resultant ploughing-induced surface pile-up phenomenon.Zhanfeng Wang Tao Sun Haijun Zhang Guo Li Zengqiang Li Junjie Zhang Yongda Yan Alexander Hartmaier 2019International Journal of Extreme Manufacturing2019,1,4:2

4Structural variation(SV)-based pan-genome and GWAS reveal the impacts of SVs on the speciation and diversification of allotetraploid cottons显示文摘Structural variations(SVs)have long been described as being involved in the origin,adaption,and domes-tication of species.However,the underlying genetic and genomic mechanisms are poorly understood.Here,we report a high-quality genome assembly of Gossypium barbadense acc.Tanguis,a landrace that is closely related to formation of extra-long-staple(ELS)cultivated cotton.An SV-based pan-genome(Pan-SV)was then constructed using a total of 182593 non-redundant SVs,including 2236 inversions,97398 insertions,and 82959 deletions from 11 assembled genomes of allopolyploid cotton.The utility of this Pan-sV was then demonstrated through population structure analysis and genome-wide association studies(GWASs).Using segregation mapping populations produced through crossing ELS cotton and the landrace along with an Sv-based GWAs,certain SVs responsible for speciation,domestication,and improvement in tetraploid cottons were identified.Importantly,some of the SVs presently identified as associated with the yield and fiber quality improvement had not been identified in previous SNP-based GWAS.In particular,a 9-bp insertion or deletion was found to associate with elimination of the interspecific reproductive isolation between Gossypium hirsutum and G.barbadense.Collectively,this study provides new insights into genome-wide,gene-scale SVs linked to important agronomic traits in a major crop spe-cies and highlights the importance of sVs during the speciation,domestication,and improvement of culti-vated crop species.Shangkun Jin Zegang Han Yan Hu Zhanfeng Si Fan Dai Lu He Yu Cheng Yiqjan Li Ting Zhao Lei Fang Tianzhen Zhang 2023Molecular Plant2023,16,4:1
5Influences of sample storage and grinding on the extraction of soil amino sugars显示文摘Soil amino sugars have been widely used to evaluate the potential roles of microbes in mediating soil carbon(C)cycling and various pretreatment methods were used for its extraction.However,few studies assessed their potential influences on the soil amino sugar extraction.In this study,we investigated the effects of sample storage method and grinding on amino sugar extraction across different climatic zones and land uses.Results showed that the concentrations of soil amino sugars varied greatly among sample pretreatments and their impacts were highly dependent on climatic condition and land use.Specifically,higher concentrations of amino sugars were extracted from field-moist samples than dried samples in subtropical grassland,temperate forest and arable land with no significant differences among storage methods for the samples from subtropical forest,arable land,and temperate grassland.Moreover,grinding improved the extraction efficiency of amino sugars for the dried soils.Due to the reduced extraction concentration in dried soils,field-moist samples were recommended in priority.For the dried soils used for the long-term storage,grinding can be an option to improve the extraction efficiency.Such information will be valuable for reducing the uncertainty and improving the accuracy during the determination of soil amino sugars.Zhijian Mou Luhui Kuang Biyue Yan Xinyu Zhang Yunqiang Wang Zhanfeng Liu 2020Soil Ecology Letters2020,2,2:1

7Genomic insights into the genetic basis of cotton breeding in China显示文摘The excellent Upland cotton(Gossypium hirsutum)cultivars developed since 1949 have made a huge contribution to cotton production in China,the world's largest producer and consumer of cotton.However,the genetic and genomic basis for the improvements of these cotton cultivars remains largely unclear.In this study,we selected 16 Upland cotton cultivars with important historical status in Chinese cotton breeding and constructed a multiparent,advanced generation,intercross(MAGiC)population comprising 920 recombinant inbred lines.A genome-wide association study using the MAGIC population identified 54 genomic loci associated with lint yield and fiber quality.Of them,25(46.30%)pleiotropic genomic loci cause simultaneous changes of lint yield and/or fiber quality traits,revealing complex trade-offs and linkage drags in Upland cotton agronomic traits.Deep sequencing data of 11 introduced ancestor cultivars and publicly available resequencing datasets of 839 cultivars developed in China during the past 70 years were integrated to explore the historical distribution and origin of the elite or selected alleles.Interestingly,85%oftheseelitealleles were selectedandfixed fromdifferent Americanancestors,consistentwithcotton breeding practices in China.However,seven elite alleles of native origin that are responsible for Fusarium wilt resistance,early maturing,good-quality fiber,and other characteristics were not found in American an-cestors but have greatly contributed to Chinese cotton breeding and wide cultivation.Taken together,these results provide a genetic basis for further improving cotton cultivars and reveal that the genetic composition of Chinese cotton cultivars is narrow and mainly derived from early introduced American varieties.Yiqian Li Zhanfeng Si Guoping Wang Zhuolin Shi Jinwen Chen Guoan Qi Shangkun Jin Zegang Han Wenhao Gao Yue Tian Yun Mao Lei Fang Yan Hu Hong Chen Xiefei Zhu Tianzhen Zhang 2023Molecular Plant2023,16,4:0
