2Rizatriptan benzoate influences the endogenous pain modulatory system in a rat model of migraine显示文摘The present study utilized a nitroglycerin-induced rat model of migraine to detect the effects of rizatriptan benzoate on proenkephalin and substance P gene expression in the midbrain using real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction and investigate whether rizatriptan benzoate can regulate the endogenous pain modulatory system. The results showed that rizatriptan benzoate significantly reduced expression of the mRNAs for proenkephalin and substance P. 3Efficacy and advantages of modified Traditional Chinese Medicine treatments based on'kidney reinforcing'for chronic aplastic ane-mia:a randomized controlled clinical trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To compare the efficacy of modified treatments based on 'kidney reinforcing' in the management of chronic aplastic anemia(CAA),and explore their advantages and specialties.METHODS:One hundred and eleven patients with CAA were randomly divided into three groups:kidney reinforcing alone(KA),'kidney reinforcing and Qi tonifying'(KQ),and 'kidney reinforcing and blood circulation invigorating'(KC).Normal and positive control groups were also formed.All patients were treated for 6 months(two courses).Hemograms,Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) syndrome scores,and therapeutic effects were assessed,and changes in T-lymphocyte subsets,regulatory T cells and cytokines were detected.RESULTS:The KQ and KC groups had lower TCM syndrome scores than the positive control group after 6 months(P < 0.05).The KQ group had a higher overall efficacy than the positive control group after 3 months(P < 0.05),while platelet counts increased in the KC group after 6 months(P < 0.05).CD3+ T-lymphocyte ratios decreased only in the KQ group,while CD3 + CD4 + CD8-Tlymphocytes increased only in the KC group after 6 months(P <0.05).Levels of interferon-γ,tumor necrosis fac-tor-α,interleukin(IL)-2 and IL-6 decreased and levels of IL-4 and IL-10 increased in all treated groups after 6 months.Levels of IL-6 in the KQ and KC groups were lower than those in the positive control group(P < 0.05).CONCLUSION:Treatments based on kidney reinforcing have a rebalancing effect on cytotoxic and T helper cells,and regulate expression of interferon-γ,IL-2,IL-6 and IL-4.KQ may be more effective in treating CAA,and KC may have an advantage in platelet recovery.Wu Dijiong Shen Yiping Ye Baodong Fang Bingmu Lin Shengyun Chen Zhilu Jiang Huifang Feng Changwei He Lüyuan Gao Yanting Liu Yonglin Liu Yonghua Zhu Jiajia Wu Liqiang Shao Keding Zhou Yuhong 2016Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2016,36,4:6
4Genome-wide analysis identified 17 new loci influencing intraocular pressure in Chinese population显示文摘Intraocular pressure(IOP) is a major risk factor for glaucoma. Genetic determinants of intraocular pressure can provide critical insights into the genetic architecture of glaucoma and, as a result, open new avenues for therapeutic intervention. We performed a genome-wide association study and replication analysis of 8,552 Chinese participants. In the genome-wide association study, we identified 51 loci that surpassed the significance of P<9×10^(-7), and we formally replicated these loci. A combined discovery and replication meta-analysis identified 21 genome-wide loci that surpassed the genome-wide significance of P<5×10^(-8), including 4 previously reported loci: rs145063132(7 p21.2, ETV1/DGKB), rs548030386(7 q31.2, ST7 near CAV1/CAV2), rs7047871(9 p24.2, GLIS3), and rs2472494(9 q31.1, ABCA1/SLC44 A1). Of the 17 newly identified loci, five were reported to have ocular related phenotypes: PTCH2(rs7525308 in 1 p34.1), LRIF1/DRAM2(rs1282146 in 1 p13.3), COLEC11(rs201143466 in 2 p25.3),SPTBN1(rs4514918 in 2 p16.2), and CRK(rs11078446 in 17 p13.3). 5Serum uric acid and risk of incident diabetes in middle-aged and elderly Chinese adults: prospective cohort study显示文摘The association between serum uric acid and the risk of incident diabetes in Chinese adults remains unknown.This study aimed to investigate this association in a community-dwelling population aged≥40 years in Shanghai,China.Oral glucose tole3rance test was conducted during baseline and follow-up visits.Relative risk regression was utilized to examine the associations between baseline gender-specific serum uric acid levels and incident diabetes risk.A total of 613(10.3%)incident diabetes cases were identified during the follow-up visit after 4.5 years.Fasting plasma glucose,postload glucose,and glycated hemoglobin A1c during the follow-up visit progressively increased across the sex-specific quartiles of serum uric acid(all Ps<0.05).The incidence rate of diabetes increased across the quartiles of serum uric acid(7.43%,8.77%,11.47%,and 13.43%).Multivariate adjusted regression analysis revealed that individuals in the highest quartile had 1.36-fold increased risk of diabetes compared with those in the lowest quartile of serum uric acid(odds ratio(95%confidence interval)=1.36(1.06−1.73)).Stratified analysis indicated that the association was only observed in women.Accordingly,serum uric acid was associated with the increased risk of incident diabetes among middle-aged and elderly Chinese women.Di Cheng Chunyan Hu Rui Du Hongyan Qi Lin Lin Xueyan Wu Lina Ma Kui Peng Mian Li Min Xu Yu Xu Yufang Bi Weiqing Wang Yuhong Chen Jieli Lu 2020Frontiers of Medicine2020,14,6:3
6Incidence of Macrosomia in Rural Areas—Henan Province,China,2013–2017显示文摘Introduction:Macrosomia has short-term and long-term adverse health effects and is thus an important public health concern.Recent decades have witnessed increasing incidence of macrosomia in many countries.Methods:The present study used a large population-based birth cohort study to depict incidence of macrosomia among live births in rural areas of Henan Province of China from 2013 to 2017.Results:Among the 1,262,916 births,82,353 were cases of macrosomia.The overall incidence of all types of macrosomia,of macrosomia with birth weight<4,500 g,and of macrosomia with birth weight≥4,500 g were 6.52%,5.30%,and 1.22%,respectively.From 2013 to 2017,the incidence of macrosomia decreased by 31.3%from 7.96%in 2013 to 5.47%in 2017(X^(2)_(trend)=946.96,P_(trend)<0.001).Male infants and infants≥42 gestational weeks had significantly higher incidence of macrosomia than that of female infants and infants<42 gestational weeks(P<0.001).Conclusion:Gestational weight control through nutrition management and physical activities during pregnancy are needed to reduce incidence of macrosomia.Shiqi Lin Jian Chai Jiajia Li Xuejun Shang Lijun Pei Lifang Jiang Junxi Zhang Panpan Sun Wei Dong Yuhong Wang Dezhuan Zhou 2021China CDC weekly2021,3,37:3

8Cholesterol homeostasis regulated by ABCA1 is critical for retinal ganglion cell survival显示文摘Genome-wide association studies have suggested a link between primary open-angle glaucoma and the function of ABCA1.ABCA1 is a key regulator of cholesterol efflux and the biogenesis of high-density lipoprotein(HDL) particles. Here, we showed that the POAG risk allele near ABCA1 attenuated ABCA1 expression in cultured cells. Consistently, POAG patients exhibited lower ABCA1 expression, reduced HDL, and higher cholesterol in white blood cells. Ablation of Abca1 in mice failed to form HDL, leading to elevated cholesterol levels in the retina. Counting retinal ganglion cells(RGCs) by using an artificial intelligence(AI) program revealed that Abca1-deficient mice progressively lost RGCs with age. Single-cell RNA sequencing(scRNA-seq) revealed aberrant oxidative phosphorylation in the Abca1-/-retina, as well as activation of the mTORC1 signaling pathway and suppression of autophagy. Treatment of Abca1-/-mice using atorvastatin reduced the cholesterol level in the retina,thereby improving metabolism and protecting RGCs from death. Collectively, we show that lower ABCA1 expression and lower HDL are risk factors for POAG. Accumulated cholesterol in the Abca1-/-retina causes profound aberrant metabolism, leading to a POAG-like phenotype that can be prevented by atorvastatin. 9Transcriptomic changes associated with PCK1 overexpression in hepatocellular carcinoma cells detected by RNA-seq显示文摘Phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase 1(PCK1),a step limiting enzyme of gluconeogenesis,is downregulated in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Overexpression of PCK1 has been shown to suppress hepatoma cell growth,but the underlying mechanism remains unclear.We used recombinant adenovirus overexpressing PCK1 or GFP in Huh7 cells,and the differentially expressed genes(DEGs)were identified by RNA-Seq.180 were upregulated by PCK1 overexpression,whereas 316 were downregulated.Pathway analysis illustrated that PCK1 was closely correlated with Wnt signaling pathway and TGF-beta signaling pathway.Hence,Wnt signaling pathway and its downstream component,FZD2,FZD6,FZD7 and b-catenin were confirmed by qRT-PCR and Western blot.In vivo we also observed that PCK1 had restrained tumor growth as a result of decreasing expression of b-catenin.Whole-transcriptomic profile analysis discovered that overexpression of PCK1 downregulates several oncogenic signaling pathways in HCC,providing potential therapeutic targets for improving HCC therapy.Jin Xiang Yuhong Zhang Lin Tuo Rui Liu Dongmei Gou Li Liang Chang Chen Jie Xia Ni Tang Kai Wang 2020Genes & Diseases2020,7,1:2

11Evolution and development:engine-driven endodontic rotary nickel-titanium instruments显示文摘Various engine-driven NiTi endodontic files have been indispensable and efficient tools in cleaning and shaping of root canals for practitioners. In this review, we introduce the relative terms and conceptions of NiTi file, including crystal phase composition, the design of the cutting part, types of separation. This review also analysis the main improvement and evolution of different generations of engine-driven nickel-titanium instruments in the past 20 years in the geometric design, manufacturing surface treatment such as electropolishing, thermal treatment, metallurgy. And the variety of motion modes of NiTi files to improve resistance to torsional failure were also discussed. Continuous advancements by the designers, provide better balance between shaping efficiency and resistance to of NiTi systems. 12Oxaliplatin,Fluorouracil and Leucovorin (FOLFOX) as First-line Chemotherapy for Metastatic or Recurrent Colorectal Cancer Patients显示文摘OBJECTIVE To investigate the efficiency and safety of the oxaliplatin, fluorouracil(5-FU)and leucovorin regimen(FOLFOX)in previously untreated patients with metastatic or recurrent colorectal cancer. METHODS Previously untreated patients with metastatic or recurrent colorectal cancer received 100 mg/m2 of oxaliplatin intravenously(IV)over 2 h on day 1,and IV 400 mg/m2 of leucovorin over 2 h followed by a bolus of 400 mg/m2 of 5-FU.Then 2,600~3,000 mg/m2 of 5-FU was administered by continuous infusion over 46 h. RESULTS An evaluated response rate was determined for 97 of 105 treated patients.The overal response rate was 35.1%,9 patients(9.3%) had a complete response and 25 patients(25.8%)a partial response.Thirty-two patients(33.0%)developed stable disease and 32.0%of the patients progressed.The median time to progression(TTP)was 7.7 months and the median overal survival 20.5 months.One and 2-year survival rates were 68%and 32%.Toxic effects based on the National Cancer Institute-Common Toxicity Criteria(NCI-CTC),reaching grade 3/4 were:neutropenia 12.3%, anemia 11.3%,vomiting 4.1%and diarrhea 7.2%.Grade 3 neuropathy was 5.1%.The overall survival rate of patients who had received a radical resection was superior to the patients who had not received a operation,or had received a pal iative resection(P=0.0658).The serum levels of CEA,ALP and LDH had no relationship with survival(P>0.05). 13Responses of ground-dwelling spiders to four hedgerow species on sloped agricultural fields in Southwest China显示文摘Spiders are important predators in agroecosystems and contribute to the control of agricultural pest populations. Habitat manage- ment such as the creation of new semi-natural habitats around or within fields enhances spider abundance and species diversity. Using pitfall traps, we investigated the effects of four hedgerow plant species, which serve as undisturbed and permanent semi-natural habitats, on ground-dwelling spider activity density (a parameter of population density and relative activity) and species richness. Samples were collected over two winter wheat and two summer maize growing seasons during 2005-2007 in trial field 1 (slope gradient of 20%) and field 2 (slope gradient of 12%) at the Ziyang Experimental Site in Sichuan Province, China. The hedgerow species evaluated were Amorpha fruticosa (field 1), Vetiveria zizanioides (field 1), Eulaliopsis binata (field 2), and Medicago sativa (field 2). Compared to control plots, hedgerow plots had significantly higher activity density and species richness of ground-dwelling spiders within strips in both fields 1 and 2 during the wheat growing season. The presence of hedgerow strips did not augment the activity density and species richness of ground-dwelling spiders within the crop fields during the wheat or maize growing seasons. The ground-dwelling spider activity density within hedgerow strips was significantly higher in the Vetiveria than in the Amorpha plots and in the Medicago than in the Eulaliopsis plots, and the species richness was significantly higher in the Vetiveria than in the Amorpha plots during the wheat season. Our results suggest that hedgerows may serve as important overwintering sites for ground-dwelling spiders during the wheat growing season. In addition, the diversification of agroecosystems by using hedgerow strips may be a viable strategy for maintaining ground-dwelling spider populations in agricultural areas. 19Full-scale chemical and field-effect passivation:21.52% efficiency of stable MAPbI_(3) solar cells via benzenamine modification显示文摘Organic-inorganic metal halide perovskite solar cells have achieved high efficiency of 25.5%.Finding an effective means to suppress the formation of traps and correlate stability losses are thought to be a promising route for further increasing the photovoltaic performance and commercialization potential of perovskite photovoltaic devices.Herein,we report a facile passivation model,which uses a multi-functional organic molecule to simultaneously realize the chemical passivation and field-effect passivation for the perovskite film by an upgraded anti-solvent coating method,which reduces the trap states density of the perovskite,improves interface charge transfer,and thus promotes device performance.In addition,the hydrophobic groups of the molecules can form a moisture-repelling barrier on the perovskite grains,which apparently promotes the humidity stability of the solar cells.Therefore,the optimal power conversion efficiency(PCE)of perovskite solar cells after synergistic passivation reaches 21.52%,and it can still retain 95%of the original PCE when stored in-40%humidity for 30 days.Our findings extend the scope for traps passivation to further promote both the photovoltaic performance and the stability of the perovskite solar cells.Fengyou Wang Meifang Yang Yuhong Zhang Jinyue Du Shuo Yang Lili Yang Lin Fan Yingrui Sui Yunfei Sun Jinghai Yang 2021Nano Research2021,14,8:1
20“Several birds with one stone”strategy of pH/thermoresponsive flame-retardant/photothermal bactericidal oil-absorbing material for recovering complex spilled oil显示文摘Although many material designs or strategic methods have been proposed for treating oil spills and oily wastewater,the complex oily state,dealing with the harsh operating conditions of oil–water separation(such as the recovery of viscous spilled crude oil,bacteria-containing oily wastewater,and removal of spilled oil under fire),and the autorecycling of oil and absorption materials remain a great challenge.This work proposed an ingenious design strategy of“several birds with one stone”to prepare p H/thermoresponsive flame-retardant/photothermal bactericidal P-Fe_(3)O_(4)-polydopamine(PDA)@melamine–formaldehyde(MF)foams.This design makes the foams remarkably effective in the recovery of spilled viscous crude oil as well as in the separation of bacteria-containing oily emulsions,particularly for instant fire extinguishing by magnetically controlled oil absorption as well as for fire alarms.The photothermal effect and p H response induce a change in the surface wettability of the foams,facilitating excellent autoadsorption/desorption of the spilled oil.The photothermal bactericidal activity and fouling resistance of the foam are beneficial to the separation of bacteria-containing oily wastewater.Outstanding flame-retardant properties and maneuverable magnetic control enable the foam to rapidly recover the spilled oil in a large range of fires,extinguish fires instantly,and facilitate early fire warning.The proposed strategy is expected to inspire further research on treating oil spills under complex conditions.Ya Chen Jing Lin Gaber A.M.Mersal Jianliang Zuo Jialin Li Qiying Wang Yuhong Feng Jianwei Liu Zili Liu Bin Wang Ben Bin Xu Zhanhu Guo 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,33:1
