12018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents显示文摘Syncope belongs to the transient loss of consciousness(TLOC), characterized by a rapid onset, short duration, and spontaneous complete recovery. It is common in children and adolescents, accounting for 1% to 2% of emergency department visits.Recurrent syncope can seriously affect children's physical and mental health, learning ability and quality of life and sometimes cardiac syncope even poses a risk of sudden death. The present guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was developed for guiding a better clinical management of pediatric syncope. Based on the globally recent development and the evidence-based data in China, 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was jointly prepared by the Pediatric Cardiology Society, Chinese Pediatric Society, Chinese Medical Association(CMA)/Committee on Pediatric Syncope, Pediatricians Branch, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Committee on Pediatric Cardiology, Chinese College of Cardiovascular Physicians, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Pediatric Cardiology Society, Beijing Pediatric Society, Beijing Medical Association(BMA). 2Diagnosis and treatment of polypoid lesions of the gallbladder:report of 194 cases显示文摘BACKGROUND: With the wide use of B-ultrasonography in recent years, the polypoid lesion of the gallbladde ( PLG) has been one of the most common diseases detected in biliary surgery. This study was to investigate the diag nostic method and operative indications of PLG. METHODS: The clinical and pathological data of 194 pa tients with PLG who had received operation at our hospita from January 1994 to September 2002 were analyzed retro spectively. Categorized data were analyzed by the chi square test. RESULTS: All the patients received preoperative B-ultra- sonography. 185 of the 194 PLG patients were diagnosed as having cholecystic polyp, and 9 adenomas. Among the 42 patients who received CT, 6 showed early gallbladder can cer. Pathologically, cholesterol polyps were mostly multi ple lesions (64.7%) with a mean diameter of3.86±2.2 mm in 136 patients. Of 16 patients with adenomas, 10 had a tumor diameter of more than 10 mm (62.5%). In 11 pa tients with gallbladder carcinoma, 7 were accompanied with gallbladder stone (63.6%). In addition, inflammatory polyps and adenomyomas were found in 25 and 6 patients respectively. CONCLUSIONS: B-ultrasonography is the most effective diagnostic method for detecting PLG. When large or irreg- ular lesions are found, CT should be performed in order to avoid missing of gallbladder carcinoma. 4Seasonal variations and size distributions of water-soluble ions in atmospheric aerosols in Beijing, 2012显示文摘The characteristics of water-soluble ions in airborne particulate matter in Beijing were investigated using ion chromatography. The results showed that the total concentrations of ions were 83.7 ± 48.9 μg/m3 in spring, 54.0 ± 17.0 μg/m3 in summer, 54.1 ± 42.9 μg/m3 in autumn, and 88.8 ± 47.7 μg/m3 in winter, respectively. Furthermore, out of all the ions, NO3-,SO42-and NH4+accounted for 81.2% in spring, 78.5% in summer, 74.6% in autumn, and 76.3%in winter. Mg2+and Ca2+were mainly associated with coarse particles, with a peak that ranged from 5.8 to 9.0 μm. Na+, NH4+and Cl-had a multi-mode distribution with peaks that ranged from 0.43 to 1.1 μm and 4.7 to 9.0 μm. K+, NO3-, and SO42-were mainly associated with fine particles, with a peak that ranged from 0.65 to 2.1 μm. The concentrations of Na+, K+,Mg2+, Ca2+, NH4+, Cl-, NO3-and SO42-were 2.69, 2.32, 1.01, 4.84, 16.9, 11.8, 42.0, and 44.1 μg/m3 in particulate matter(PM) on foggy days, respectively, which were 1.4 to 7.3 times higher than those on clear days. 5Size-resolved aerosol water-soluble ions at a regional background station of Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei, North China显示文摘The characteristics of water-soluble ions in size-resolved particulate matter were investigated usingion chromatography at Shangdianzi,a regional background station of Beijing,Tianjin,and Hebei.Seasonal total concentrations of ions(Na^+,Mg^(2+),K^+,Ca^(2+),NH_4^+,Cl^-,SO_4^(2-) and NO_3^-) were75.5±52.9 μg/m^3 in spring,26.5±12.3μg/m^3 in summer,22.7±20.4μg/m^3 in autumn,and31.1±23.9 μg/m^3 in winter,respectively.The secondary ions(NO_3^-,SO_4^(2-) and NH_4^+),mainly associated with fine particles,accounted for 84.2%in spring,82.1%in summer,81.5%in autumn and 76.3%in winter of all ions.Strong correlations were found between NH_4^+ and SO_4^(2-)(r=0.95,p<0.01) as well as NH_4^+ and NO_3^-(r=0.90,p<0.01) in fine particles;while in coarse particles,correlations between Mg^(2+) and NO_3^-(r=0.80,p<0.01),and Ca^(2+) and NO_3^-(r=0.85,p<0.01) were found.The concentrations of Na^+,K^+,Mg^(2+),Ca^(2+),NH_4^+,Cl^-,NO_3^-,and SO_4^(2-) were 2.02,0.81,0.36,1.65,9.58,4.01,18.9,and 18.4 μg/m^3 in particulate matter from southeast-derived air masses,which were typically 1.58-3.37 times higher than in northwest trajectories.Thus,concentrations of water-soluble ions at this background station were heavily influenced by regional transport of serious pollution derived from biomass burning,coal combustion,industrial and vehicle exhaust emissions from Beijing,Tianjin,and Hebei.Yongjie Yang Rui Zhou Yue Yu Yan Yan Yan Liu Yi'an Di Dan Wu Weiqi Zhang 2017Journal of Environmental Sciences2017,29,5:16
6Function and regulation of cholecystokinin-octapeptide, β-endorphin and gastrin in anorexic infantile rats treated with ErBao Granules显示文摘AIM To study the role of cholecystokinin octapeptide ( CCK-8), β-endorphin ( β-EP), and gastrin in an anorexic infantile rat model and no subsequent regulation of nose peptides by the Yunpi complex prescription ErBao Granule.METHODS We fed infantile rats with special prepared forage. A liquid extract of ErBao Granule was administered to the rats daily for 3weeks, CCK-8, β-EP, and gastrin concentrations in hypothalamus, gastric antrum, and plasma of the rats were measured by radioimmunoassay,and were compared with controls.RESULTS Treatment of rats with ErBao Granule inhibited CCK-8 secretion and increased β-EP and gastrin secretion. CCK-8 concentration in hypothalamus and plasma of model control group increased significantly and correlated negatively with food intake of models.respectively. β-EP concentration in gastric antrum and plasma of model control group decreased significantly and showed a positive correlation with food intake of models,respectively. Hypothalamus concentration of β-EP was similar in models and controls. Gastrin concentration in gastric antrum of models was lower than in the blank control group, and correlated positively to food intake of models.Finally, CCK-8 concentrations in plasma of rats showed a positive correlation with plasma β-EP(r- 0.68, P<0.05).CONCLUSION The increased plasma and hypothalamus concentration of CCK-8,decreased gastric antrum and plasma level of β-EP. and decreased gastric antrum concentration of gastrin are associated significantly with the anorexia of infantile anorexic rat models produced by special forage. 7Rapid report of the 8 January 2022 M_(S)6.9 Menyuan earthquake,Qinghai,China显示文摘The M_(S)6.9 Menyuan earthquake in Qinghai Province,west China is the largest earthquake by far in 2022.The earthquake occurs in a tectonically active region,with a background b-value of 0.87 within 100 km of the epicenter that we derived from the unified catalog produced by China Earthquake Networks Center since late 2008.Field surveys have revealed surface ruptures extending 22 km along strike,with a maximum ground displacement of 2.1 m.We construct a finite fault model with constraints from In SAR observations,which showed multiple fault segments during the Menyuan earthquake.The major slip asperity is confined within 10 km at depth,with the maximum slip of 3.5 m.Near real-time back-projection results of coseismic radiation indicate a northwest propagating rupture that lasted for~10 s.Intensity estimates from the back-projection results show up to a Mercalli scale of IX near the ruptured area,consistent with instrumental measurements and the observations from the field surveys.Aftershock locations(up to January 21,2022)exhibit two segments,extending to~20 km in depth.The largest one reaches M_(S)5.3,locating near the eastern end of the aftershock zone.Although the location and the approximate magnitude of the mainshock had been indicated by previous studies based on paleoearthquake records and seismic gap,as well as estimated stressing rate on faults,significant surfacebreaching rupture leads to severe damage of the high-speed railway system,which poses a challenge in accurately assessing earthquake hazards and risks,and thus demands further investigations of the rupture behaviors for crustal earthquakes.Hongfeng Yang Dun Wang Rumeng Guo Mengyu Xie Yang Zang Yue Wang Qiang Yao Chuang Cheng Yanru An Yingying Zhang 2022Earthquake Research Advances2022,2,1:14
8Paleoenvironments indicated by the fossil mammalian assemblages from red clay-loess sequence in the Chinese Loess Plateau since 8.0 Ma B.P.显示文摘Information from eleven profiles of eolian earthy red silty clay and loess of the middle of the Late Miocene to Holocene age have been studied and correlated. A complete summary profile with projected isotopic ages and fossil-bearing beds has been assembled. The profile is subdivided into 12 stratigraphic units proceeding from the lower (older) to the upper (younger) one. The character of mammalian assemblages contained in each unit was analyzed and the corresponding pa- leo-climatic environments were deduced. The environmental character of each period and the change from the middle of the Late Miocene at about 8.0 Ma B.P. up to the Holocene progressed from the hot semiarid and semi-moist, warmer-moist, warm-moister of the Late Miocene. To slightly less warm moist, cool-dry, slight-warmer-moister of the Pliocene; later the cool to cold dry periods alternated frequently with the mild semiarid and semi-moist periods of the Quaternary. Vegetation progressed from the grasslands with sparse woods, wooded shrub-grasslands and subtropical forest-grasslands of the Late Miocene age to sparse grasslands and dry grasslands of the Pliocene; and to sparse grasslands, dry grasslands and tundras of the Quaternary. The climate changes in the Neogene were of low-amplitute in a generally warm-humid background. Those of the Quaternary were of higher am- plitude with a longer phase. Cool or cold dry and slightly warm semiarid and semi-moist climates al- ternated on a generally cool-dry background. The tendency since the start of the Quaternary was the change to more northern and western shift in the Loess Plateau, with progressively cooler and dryer conditions. 9Influence of He-Ne laser irradiation on the excision repair of cyclobutyl pyrimidine dimers in the wheat DNA显示文摘Using agarose gel electrophoresis and T4-endo-deoxyribonuclease-V, which is a kind of restriction endonu-clease of cyclobutyl pyrimidine dimer (CPD), the impacts of He-Ne laser (5mW·mm-2) irradiation on DNA excision repair capacity in damaged wheat cells induced by enhanced ultraviolet-B (10.08kJ·m-2·d-1) radiation were studied. The results indicated that the content of endonuclease sensitive sites (ESS) was reduced by He-Ne laser irradiation, which formed in cells irradiated by enhanced ultraviolet-B. 10Effects of water content, water type and temperature on the rheological behaviour of slag-cement and fly ash-cement paste backfill显示文摘The pumping ability and placement performance of fresh cemented paste backfill(CPB) in underground mined cavities depend on its rheological properties. Hence, it is crucial to understand the rheology of fresh CPB slurry, which is related to CPB mixture design and the temperature underground. This paper presented an experimental study investigating the effects of binder type, content, water chemical properties and content, and temperature, on the rheological properties of CPB material prepared using the tailings of a copper mine in South Australia. Portland cement(PC), a newly released commercially manufactured cement called Minecem(MC) and fly ash(FA) were used as the binders added to the mine tailing materials. Various amounts of two different water types were added to the mixtures in the preparation of backfill material slurry. Six different temperatures ranging from 5 to 60 °C were to investigate the effect of temperature on CPB rheology. Overall, the increasing water content and decreasing temperature lead to lower yield stress. Based on the results obtained from the rheological properties of CPB slurry, it was found that at room temperature(25 °C), with regards to the unconfined compressive strength(UCS) performance, the replacement of 4% PC mixed CPB(28 days UCS 425 k Pa) to 3% MC mixed CPB(28 days UCS 519 k Pa), reduced the slurry yield stress from 210.7 to 178.5 Pa. The results also showed that the chemical composition of water affects the yield stress of CPB slurry and that MC mitigates the negative effect of mine-processed water(MW) and thus lead to improve the rheological properties of the slurry. However, the results suggested that the rheological properties of a mixture using MC is very sensitive to the water volume and temperature change. 12Expression of PCNA and CD44mRNA in colorectal cancer with venous invasion and its relationship to liver metastasis显示文摘AIM: To investigate the expression of proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) and CD44mRNA in colorectal cancer with venous invasion and its relationship with liver metastasis.METHODS: Reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) was used to detect the expression of PCNA and CD44mRNA in 31 cases of colorectal cancer with venous invasion.RESULTS: Positive expression rates of PCNA and CD44mRNA in colorectal cancer were higher than those without liver metastasis (P<0.05 and P<0.01). In case of colorectal cancer with liver metastasis, strongly positive rates of PCNA and CD44mRNA were 94.1% and 70.6 %,respectively, significantly higher than those without liver metastasis. 16Impact of CYP3A4*1G Polymorphism on Fentanyl Analgesia Assessed by Analgesia Nociception Index in Chinese Patients Undergoing Hysteroscopy显示文摘Background:The clinical efficacy of fentanyl for pain control differs greatly across individuals.The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of CYP3A4*1G polymorphism including wild-type homozygote (CYP3A4*1/*1,GG),mutant heterozygote (CYP3A4*1/*1G,GA),and mutant homozygote (CYP3A4*1G/*1G,AA)on fentanyl analgesia in Chinese patients undergoing hysteroscopy by the assessment of analgesia nociception index (ANI). Methods:A total of 200 gynecologic patients scheduled for elective hysteroscopy under general anesthesia at Peking University People's Hospital from May to December in 2017 were enrolled in this study.Venous blood was withdrawn for genotyping of CYP3A4*1G before operation.Fentanyl 1μg/kg was administered preoperatively followed by target-controlled infusion of propofol for induction and maintenance.Intraoperative analgesic efficacy of fentanyl was assessed by ANI monitoring at T0(entering room),T1(cervical dilation), T2(start of cervical aspiration),and T3(end of cervical aspiration)time points.The duration of propofol infusion and total dosage of propofol were recorded as well. Results:The patients were divided into three groups according to CYP3A4*1G polymorphism,including 143 in GG group,47in GA group, and 10 in AA group.There was no significant difference in clinical demographics among three groups.The frequency of CYP3A4*1G variant alleles accounted for 16.8%and the distribution of variant alleles was consistent with Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium.Using a multilevel model,ANI values at T1(63.81±19.61),T2(63.63±17.82),and T3(65.68±17.79)were significantly lower than that at T0 (77.16±12.93)in the study population (F =23.50,P <0.001),suggesting that higher levels of pain at T 1,T2,and T3 than T0.Patients with GG genotype showed significantly lower ANI than those with GA or AA genotypes during hysteroscopy under the same dose of fentanyl. 19A fundamental theorem for eco-environmental surface modelling and its applications显示文摘We propose a fundamental theorem for eco-environmental surface modelling(FTEEM) in order to apply it into the fields of ecology and environmental science more easily after the fundamental theorem for Earth’s surface system modeling(FTESM). The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei(BTH) region is taken as a case area to conduct empirical studies of algorithms for spatial upscaling, spatial downscaling, spatial interpolation, data fusion and model-data assimilation, which are based on high accuracy surface modelling(HASM), corresponding with corollaries of FTEEM. The case studies demonstrate how eco-environmental surface modelling is substantially improved when both extrinsic and intrinsic information are used along with an appropriate method of HASM. Compared with classic algorithms, the HASM-based algorithm for spatial upscaling reduced the root-meansquare error of the BTH elevation surface by 9 m. The HASM-based algorithm for spatial downscaling reduced the relative error of future scenarios of annual mean temperature by 16%. The HASM-based algorithm for spatial interpolation reduced the relative error of change trend of annual mean precipitation by 0.2%. The HASM-based algorithm for data fusion reduced the relative error of change trend of annual mean temperature by 70%. The HASM-based algorithm for model-data assimilation reduced the relative error of carbon stocks by 40%. 20Physiological response of four wolfberry (Lycium Linn.) species under drought stress显示文摘We studied gas-exchange, chlorophyll pigments, lipid peroxidation, antioxidant enzymes, and biomass partitioning responses in seedlings of four wolfberry species(Lycium chinense Mill. var. potaninii(Pojark.) A. M. Lu, Lycium chinense Mill., Lycium barbarum L., and Lycium yunnanense Kuang & A. M. Lu) under four water supply regimes. In all four species, drought affected seedlings in terms of chlorophyll content, net photosynthesis rate(Pn), transpiration rate(E), and lipid peroxidation. Drought also increased some antioxidant enzyme activities, such as peroxidase(POD), catalase(CAT), superoxide dismutase(SOD), and ascorbate peroxidase(APX). Significant changes in dry biomass partitioning also occurred in response to water stress. In particular, dry biomass of leaves and fruits decreased significantly. L. chinense Mill. and L. barbarum L. possessed greater drought tolerance and exhibited superior antioxidant processing ability and other related physiological traits compared to the other two species. L. chinense Mill. was the most tolerant to all levels of drought. In contrast, L. yunnanense Kuang & A. M. Lu was more affected by water supply and had the lowest resistance to drought stress.
