ABNORMAL FLOWER AND GRAIN 1 encodes OsMADS6 and determines palea identity and affects rice grain yield and quality显示文摘The palea and lemma are floral organ structures unique to grasses;these structures form the hull and directly affect grain size and quality. However, the molecular mechanisms controlling the development of the hull are not well understood. In this study, we characterized the rice(Oryza sativa) abnormal flower and grain1(afg1) mutant, a new allele of OsMADS6. Similar to previously characterized osmads6 alleles, in the afg1 floret, the palea lost its marginal region and acquired the lemma identity. However, in contrast to other osmads6 alleles, the afg1 mutant showed altered grain size and grain quality, with decreased total starch and amylose contents, and increased protein and soluble sugar contents. The analysis of transcriptional activity suggested that AFG1 is a transcriptional activator and may affect grain size by regulating the expression levels of several genes related to cell expansion and proliferation in the afg1 mutant. These results revealed that AFG1 plays an important role in determining palea identity and affecting grain yield and quality in rice. | Xiaoqi Yu Saisai Xia Qiankun Xu Yuanjiang Cui Ming Gong Dali Zeng Qiang Zhang Lan Shen Guiai Jiao Zhenyu Gao Jiang Hu Guangheng Zhang Li Zhu Longbiao Guo Deyong Ren Qian Qian | 2020 | Science China(Life Sciences)2020,63,2: | 10
New advances in the assessment of tight oil resource in China显示文摘The research on tight oil becomes another hotspot in the field of unconventional oil and gas after the boom of shale gas.The global recoverable resources of tight oil are estimated to be around 47.3×10^(9)t.In recent years, significant progress has been made in the technologies of tight oil exploration and development in North America, thus stimulating the dramatic increase of tight oil production.Meanwhile,China has also acquired remarkable achievements in tight oil exploration.Mature assessment methods have been established for tight oil resources by the US,generally dominated by analogy and statistical methods with their own advantages and disadvantages as well as applicable conditions. In China, improvement of resource evaluation techniques becomes an urgent issue in increasing tight oil reserve and production. This study mainly discusses the resource evaluation methods and resource enrichment characteristics of tight oil.Seven kinds of assessment methods in three categories(i.e.,analogy,statistical and genetic method)and evaluation parameters have been preliminary established, and are specifically applied in the Sichuan,Ordos,Songliao,Junggar,Bohai Bay and other tight oil basins through the newly hierarchical resource abundance analogy method, the estimated ultimate recovery(EUR)analogy method and the small-cell volumetric method. The preliminary evaluation results reveal that China has great potential in tight oil resource, and the geological resources amount to 20×10^(9)t,providing a resource base for large-scale development. | Shejiao Wang Yuanjiang Yu Qiulin Guo Shaoyong Wang Xiaozhi Wu | 2017 | Petroleum Research2017,2,1: | 4
LRG1 maintains sterile lemma identity by regulating OsMADS6 expression in rice显示文摘Dear Editor,Spikelet is the unique structural unit of grass panicles with florets and diverse glume-like organs. In rice,a normal spikelet usually has two pairs of glume-like organs, including a pair of sterile lemmas and a pair of rudimentary glumes.Generally, the sterile lemma is considered to be the severely degenerated bract, but its origin is still controversial. | Qiankun Xu Xiaoqi Yu Yuanjiang Cui Saisai Xia Dali Zeng Qian Qian Deyong Ren | 2021 | Science China(Life Sciences)2021,64,7: | 2
Geological Conditions and Prospect Forecast of Shale Gas Formation in Qiangtang Basin, Qinghai-Tibet Plateau显示文摘The presence of shale gas has been confirmed in almost every marine shale distribution area in North America. Formation conditions of shale gas in China are the most favorable for marine, organic-rich shale as well. But there has been little research focusing on shale gas in Qiangtang Basin, Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, where a lot of Mesozoic marine shale formations developed. Based on the survey results of petroleum geology and comprehensive test analysis data for Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, for the first time, this paper discusses characteristics of sedimentary development, thickness distribution, geochemistry, reservoir and burial depth of organic-rich shale, and geological conditions for shale gas formation in Qiangtang Basin. There are four sets of marine shale strata in Qiangtang Basin including Upper Triassic Xiaochaka Formation(T3x), Middle Jurassic Buqu Formation(J2b), Xiali Formation(J2x) and Upper Jurassic Suowa Formation(J3s), the sedimentary types of which are mainly bathyal-basin facies, open platform-platform margin slope facies, lagoon and tidal-flat facies, as well as delta facies. By comparing it with the indicators of gas shale in the main U.S. basins, it was found that the four marine shale formations in Qiangtang Basin constitute a multi-layer distribution of organic-rich shale, featuring a high degree of thickness and low abundance of organic matter, high thermal evolution maturity, many kinds of brittle minerals, an equivalent content of quartz and clay minerals, a high content of feldspar and low porosity, which provide basic conditions for an accumulation of shale gas resources. Xiaochaka Formation shale is widely distributed, with big thickness and the best gas generating indicators. It is the main gas source layer. Xiali Formation shale is of intermediate thickness and coverage area, with relatively good gas generating indicators and moderate gas formation potential. Buqu Formation shale and Suowa Formation shale are of relatively large thickness, and covering a small area, with poor gas generating indicators, and limited gas formation potential. The shale gas geological resources and technically recoverable resources were estimated by using geologic analogy method, and the prospective areas and potentially favorable areas for Mesozoic marine shale gas in Qiangtang Basin are forecast and analyzed. It is relatively favorable in a tectonic setting and indication of oil and gas, shale maturity, sedimentary thickness and gypsumsalt beds, and in terms of mineral association for shale gas accumulation. But the challenge lies in overcoming the harsh natural conditions which contributes to great difficulties in ground engineering and exploration, and high exploration costs. | YU Yuanjiang ZOU Caineng DONG Dazhong WANG Shejiao LI Jianzhong YANG Hua LI Denghua LI Xinjing WANG Yuman HUANG Jinliang | 2014 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2014,88,2: | 2
Comparison of the clinical features and therapeutics of COVID-19 in cardio-cerebrovascular disease(CCVD)and non-CCVD patients显示文摘Cardio-cerebrovascular disease(CCVD)is a major comorbidity of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).However,the clinical characteristics and outcomes remain unclear. In this study,102 cases of COVID-19 from January 22,2020 to March 26,2020 in Xixi Hospital of Hangzhou were included.Twenty cases had pre-existing CCVD.Results showed that compared with non-CCVD patients, those with CCVD are more likely to develop severe disease(15%versus 1%),and the proportion of pneumonia severity index grade IV was significantly higher(25%versus 3.6%).Computed tomography images demonstrated that the proportion of multiple lobe lesion involvement was significantly higher in the CCVD group than in the non-CCVD group(90%versus 63.4%).Compared with non-CCVD group, the levels of C-reactive protein,fibrinogen,D-dimer,and serum amyloid-A were higher, whereas the total protein and arterial partial Pa02 were lower in the CCVD group.Although no statistical difference was observed in the outcomes between groups,CCVD patients received more intensive comprehensive treatment to improve COVID-19 symptoms compared with non-CCVD patients.Integrated Chinese and Western medicine treatments have certain advantages in controlling the severe conversion rate and mortality of COVID-19.In addition, given that COVID-19 patients are usually related to coagulation disorders and thrombosis risk, the application of Chinese medicine in promoting blood circulation and removing stasis should be strengthened. | Yu Wang Lan Li Yuanjiang Pan Yu He Zuhua Chen Yunhao Xun Yuhan Xu Yilei Guo Jiehong Yang Jianchun Guo Haitong Wan | 2021 | Frontiers of Medicine2021,15,4: | 1
