1Trends of the sunshine duration and diffuse radiation percentage on sunny days in urban agglomerations of China during 1960–2005显示文摘The long-term observational data of sunshine duration(SD) and diffuse radiation percentage(defined as diffuse solar radiation/total solar radiation, DRP) on sunny days during 1960–2005 were analyzed in 7 urban agglomerations and the whole of China. The results show that the sunny sunshine duration(SSD) has decreased significantly except at a few stations over northwestern China in the past 46 years. An obvious decrease of the SSD is found in eastern China, with the trend coefficients lower than-0.8. Accompanied by the SSD decline, the sunny diffuse radiation percentage(SDRP) in most stations shows obvious increasing trends during the 46 years. The averaged SDRP over China has increased 2.33%per decade, while the averaged SSD shows a decrease of-0.13 hr/day per decade. The correlation coefficient between SDRP and SSD is-0.88. SSD decreased over urban agglomerations(small to large city clusters) in the past 46 years, especially in large cities and medium cities, due to the strong anthropogenic activities and air pollution represented by aerosol option depth(AOD) and tropospheric column NO2(Tro NO2). On the regional scale, SSD has an opposite trend from SDRP during 1960 to 2005, and the variation trends of regional mean values of SSD and SDRP in southeastern China are more pronounced than those in northwestern China.Chuanbo Fu Li Dan Youlong Chen Jiaxiang Tang 2015Journal of Environmental Sciences2015,27,8:5
2Surface-roughness-adjustable Au nanorods with strong plasmon absorption and abundant hotspots for improved SERS and photothermal performances显示文摘The rational optimization of plasmonic property of metal nanocrystals by manipulating the structure and morphology is crucial for the plasmon-enhanced application and has always been an urgent issue.Herein,Au nanorods with tunable surface roughness are prepared by growing PbS,overgrowing Au,and dissolving PbS nanoparticles on the basis of smooth Au nanorods.The transverse plasmon resonance of Au nanorods is notably improved due to plasmon coupling between Au nanorods and the surface-modified Au nanoparticles,resulting in the strong and full-spectrum light absorption.Numerical simulations demonstrate that the surface-rough Au nanorods have abundant and full-surround hotspots coming from surface particle–particle plasmon coupling between ultrasmall nanogaps,sharp tips,and uneven areas on Au nanorods.With these characters,the surface-roughness-adjustable Au nanorods possess high tunability and enhancement of surface-enhanced Raman scattering(SERS)detection of Rhodamine B and significantly improved photothermal conversion efficiency.Au nanorods with the largest surface roughness have the highest Raman enhancement factor both at 532 and 785 nm laser excitation.Meanwhile,photothermal conversion experiments under near-infrared(808 nm)and simulated sunlight irradiation confirm that the Au nanorods with rough surface have prominent photothermal conversion efficiency and can be regarded as promising candidates for photothermal therapy and solar-driven water evaporation.Sijing Ding Liang Ma Jingru Feng Youlong Chen Dajie Yang Ququan Wang 2022Nano Research2022,15,3:2

62-O-β-D-Glucopyranosyl-L-ascorbic acid,an ascorbic acid derivative isolated from the fruits of Lycium barbarum L.,ameliorates high fructose-induced neuroinflammation in mice:involvement of gut microbiota and leaky gut显示文摘Western diet(rich in highly refined sugar and fat)can induce a range of metabolic dysfunctions in animals and humans,including neuroinflammation and cognitive function decline.Neuroinflammation and cognitive impairment,two critical pathological characteristics of Alzheimer’s disease,have been closely associated with microbial alteration via the gut-brain axis.Thus,the present study aimed to investigate the influence of 2-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl-L-ascorbic acid(AA-2βG)isolated from the fruits of Lycium barbarum on preventing the high-fructose diet(HFrD)induced neuroinflammation in mice.It was found that AA-2βG prevented HFr D-induced cognitive deficits.AA-2βG also predominantly enhanced the gut barrier integrity,decreased lipopolysaccharide entry into the circulation,which subsequently countered the activation of glial cells and neuroinflammatory response.These beneficial effects were transmissible by horizontal fecal microbiome transplantation,transferring from AA-2βG fed mice to HFr D fed mice.Additionally,AA-2βG exerted neuroprotective effects involving the enrichment of Lactobacillus and Akkermansia,potentially beneficial intestinal bacteria.The present study provided the evidence that AA-2βG could improve indices of cognition and neuroinflammmation via modulating gut dybiosis and preventing leaky gut.As a potential functional food ingredient,AA-2βG may be applied to attenuate neuroinflammation associated with Western-style diets.Wei Dong Yujia Peng Guijie Chen Zhiyong Xie Weiqi Xu Wangting Zhou Jia Mi Lu Lu Yi Sun Xiaoxiong Zeng Youlong Cao Yamei Yan 2024Food Science and Human Wellness2024,13,1:0
