| 8 | Chromosomal Location of Gene for Earbranching of Barley Natural Mutant "f151" Using SSR Markers显示文摘f151, a natural earbranching mutant from naked barley landrace, has better structural characteristics of spike and is thought to be a very valuable germplasm to high-yield breeding of barley. Genetic analysis of earbranching trait is carried out in the populations of F1, F2, B1 and B2 which are produced by crossing including reciprocals and backcrossing between f151 and different barley varieties. The results show that earbranching trait of f151 is controlled by one pair of recessive genes without cytoplasm effects. The linkage between the earbranching gene and the SSR marker HVM40 on the short arm of chromosome 4H is found by bulked segregated analysis using SSR markers based on the F2 population of the hybrid 'f151×Gateway'. It can be inferred from the recombinant value of 0.087 between the gene and HVM40 that this gene is located on 4HS. | 10 | Further molecular evidence for the Hordeum vulgare ssp. spontaneum in Tibet as ultimate progenitor of Chinese cultivated barley显示文摘106 accessions of Tibetan wild barley, including 50 accessions of the two-rowed wild barley Hordeum vulgare ssp. spontaneum(HS), 27 accessions of the six-rowed bottle-shaped wild barley H. lagunculiforme(HL) and 29 accessions of the six-rowed wild barley H. agriocrithon(HA) that separately represent different agrigeographical regions of Tibet, were used to study the genetic diversity and genetic differentiation using SSR markers selected from seven barley linkage groups. 229 allelic variants were identified with an average of 7.6 alleles/locus. The average of total number of alleles per locus in HA(6.4) is much higher than that in HS(3.9) and HL(3.4). The genetic diversity and its standard deviation among the three subspecies were in the order of HS>HL>HA. Very significant genetic differentiation was observed among the three subspecies of wild barley. | 11 | Effect of boehmite sol on the crystallization behavior and densification of mullite formed from a sol-gel precursor显示文摘Hybrid mullite sol was synthesized from an aqueous solution of aluminum nitrate (AN), aluminum isopropoxide (AIP) and tetraethylorthosilicate (TEOS), doped with boehmite sol with different ratios. Pressureless sintering of the xerogel was carried out at different temperatures in the presence of boehmite doping. The xerogel and sintered powder were characterized by FTIR, TG-DSC, XRD, SEM and bulk density. The addition of boehmite caused the formation of metaphase spinel (6Al2O3·SiO2) crystal before the appearance of mullite phase, which could lead to the formation of amorphous phase and suppress the premature formation of mullite. Both of these effects improve the densification of mullite. | 12 | Design and field evaluation of hill-drop pneumatic central cylinder direct-seeding machine for hybrid rice显示文摘To meet the requirement of the precision direct-seeding for hybrid rice,this study aimed to design a hill-drop pneumatic central cylinder direct-seeding machine to sow ten rows at a time.A series of orthogonal experiments were conducted to investigate the performance of the cylinder seeder.The influences of the hole diameters,degree of vacuum,and rotational speed of the cylinder were tested on JPS-12 computer-vision seeding test platform,and the rotational speed of 10-50 r/min,diameter of 135 mm and a negative pressure of 1.0-2.0 kPa were employed.Test results showed that the optimal parameter combination was a vacuum of 2.0 kPa and a hole diameter of 2.0 mm(straight hole),with a rotational speed of 30 r/min.The probability of(2±1)seeds in each hole was 95.3%,while the probability of seed-missing hole was 2.0%.A series of field experiments were then conducted to test the seeder performance according to China National Standard Test Methods,and the field test results showed that for the hill-drop pneumatic central cylinder direct-seeding machine,the probability of(2±1)seeds in each hill was 91.6%,while the probability of seed-missing hill was 2.7%.The yield data showed that the average effective panicle had 231.25 ears,the average seed setting rate was 9.92%,the average 1000-grain weight was 22.45 g,and the average yield was 7107.9 kg/hm^(2) that was 26.14%higher than the average yield of rice(5634.9 kg/hm^(2))of Guangdong Province in 2016.The results showed that the hill-drop pneumatic central cylinder direct-seeding machine for hybrid rice could be applied in practical precision rice seeding. | Baolong Wang Xiwen Luo Zaiman Wang Le Zheng Minghua Zhang Yizheng Dai He Xing | 2018 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2018,11,6: | 4 |

| 14 | Active spintronic-metasurface terahertz emitters with tunable chirality显示文摘The ability to generate and manipulate broadband chiral terahertz waves is essential for applications in material imaging,terahertz sensing,and diagnosis.It can also open up new possibilities for nonlinear terahertz spectroscopy and coherent control of chiral molecules and magnetic materials.The existing methods,however,often suffer from low efficiency,narrow bandwidth,or poor flexibility.Here,we propose a novel type of laser-driven terahertz emitters,consisting of metasurface-patterned magnetic multilayer heterostructures,that can overcome the shortcomings of the conventional approaches.Such hybrid terahertz emitters combine the advantages of spintronic emitters for being ultrabroadband,efficient,and highly flexible,as well as those of metasurfaces for the powerful control capabilities over the polarization state of emitted terahertz waves on an ultracompact platform.Taking a stripe-patterned metasurface as an example,we demonstrate the efficient generation and manipulation of broadband chiral terahertz waves.The ellipticity can reach>0.75 over a broad terahertz bandwidth(1 to 5 THz),representing a high-quality and efficient source for few-cycle circularly polarized terahertz pulses with stable carrier waveforms.Flexible control of ellipticity and helicity is also demonstrated with our systematic experiments and numerical simulations.We show that the terahertz polarization state is dictated by the interplay between laser-induced spintronic-origin currents and the screening charges/currents in the metasurfaces,which exhibits tailored anisotropic properties due to the predesigned geometric confinement effects.Our work opens a new pathway to metasurface-tailored spintronic emitters for efficient vector-control of electromagnetic waves in the terahertz regime. | Changqin Liu Shunjia Wang Sheng Zhang Qingnan Cai Peng Wang Chuanshan Tian Lei Zhou Yizheng Wu Zhensheng Tao | 2021 | Advanced Photonics2021,3,5: | 4 |

| 17 | Selective esterification of glycerol with acetic acid to diacetin using antimony pentoxide as reusable catalyst显示文摘Glycerol can be obtained as a by-product during biodiesel manufacture. It is important to convert glycerol to value-added products. Glycerol esterification with acetic acid is one of the most promising approaches for glycerol utilization. It is usually difficult to obtain diacetin with good activity and selectivity. In this work, glycerol esterification with acetic acid over different metal oxides, such as Bi2O3, Sb2O3, Sn O2, Ti O2, Nb2O5 and Sb2O5, was investigated. It was found that in the six investigated metal oxides, only Sb2O5 resulted in good activity and selectivity to diacetin. Under the optimized conditions, the glycerol conversion reached 96.8%,and the selectivity to diacetin reached 54.2%, while the selectivity to monoacetin and triacetin was 33.2% and12.6%, respectively. The catalysts were characterized with FT-IR spectra of adsorbed pyridine, which indicated that in the six investigated metal oxides, only Sb2O5 possessed Br?nsted acid sites strong enough to protonate adsorbed pyridine. The good catalytic activity and selectivity to diacetin might be mainly attributable to the Br?nsted acid sites of Sb2O5.
