3Whole-infrared-band camouflage with dual-band radiative heat dissipation显示文摘Advanced multispectral detection technologies have emerged as a significant threat to objects,necessitating the use of multiband camouflage.However,achieving effective camouflage and thermal management across the entire infrared spectrum,especially the short-wave infrared(SWIR)band,remains challenging.This paper proposes a multilayer wavelength-selective emitter that achieves effective camouflage across the entire infrared spectrum,including the near-infrared(NIR),SWIR,mid-wave infrared(MWIR),and long-wave infrared(LWIR)bands,as well as the visible(VIS)band.Furthermore,the emitter enables radiative heat dissipation in two non-atmospheric windows(2.5-3μm and 5-8μm).The emitter’s properties are characterized by low emittance of 0.270/0.042/0.218 in the SWIR/MWIR/LWIR bands,and low reflectance of 0.129/0.281 in the VIS/NIR bands.Moreover,the high emittance of 0.742/0.473 in the two non-atmospheric windows ensures efficient radiative heat dissipation,which results in a temperature decrement of 14.4℃ compared to the Cr reference at 2000Wm^(−2) input power density.This work highlights the role of solar radiance in camouflage,and provides a comprehensive guideline for developing multiband camouflage compatible with radiative heat dissipation,from the visible to LWIR.Bing Qin Yining Zhu Yiwei Zhou Min Qiu Qiang Li 2023Light(Science & Applications)2023,12,11:1
4Studies on the Anti-inflammatory Activity of Three Extraction Processes of Bidens alba(L.) DC显示文摘[Objectives] To compare the anti-inflammatory activities of three extraction processes of the exotic plant Bidens alba(L.) DC in Lingnan(south of the Five Ridges in China).[Methods]The alcohol extracts of B.alba(L.) DC were extracted and separated with petroleum ether,chloroform and ethyl acetate respectively.The anti-inflammatory activity experiment of these three extracts was carried out with the RAW264.7 inflammatory model of mouse macrophages in vitro.[Results]When the concentration was 0.05-1.6 mg/L,the petroleum ether extract of B.alba(L.) DC produced strong inhibitory effects on nitric oxide(NO) release of RAW264.7 macrophages induced by LPS;the inhibition of ethyl acetate extract was weak,and the chloroform extract showed no significant inhibition.[Conclusions]Petroleum ether is the best extractant for active anti-inflammatory ingredients of B.alba(L.) 6Inhibition of central sympathetic nervous tone improves cardiomyocyte contraction by increasing the response of beta 2-adrenergic receptor in aged rats显示文摘In the present study,selective β1-adrenergic receptor antagonist CGP20712A and selective β2-adrenergic receptor antagonist ICI 118551 were administered to isolated cardiomyocytes from young (4-6 months),aged (18-20 months),and clonidine-pretreated aged (18-20 months) Sprague-Dawley rats.Cardiomyocyte contraction amplitude was measured to assess cardiomyocyte response to the β-adrenergic receptor agonist,isoprenaline.CGP20712A reduced cardiomyocyte contraction amplitude in young and aged groups and significantly reduced contraction amplitude in cells from young rats.ICI 118551 had no effect on cardiomyocyte contraction amplitude in young rats,but significantly decreased contraction amplitude in the aged groups,in particular in the clonidine-pretreated aged rats.Results demonstrated that reduced central sympathetic tone improved cardiomyocyte contraction in aged rats by improving the response of β2-adrenergic receptor to isoprenaline.Ying Wang Zhi Zhao Qin Wu Yanling Hao Chuanying Xu Yiwei Sun Hong Sun Changdong Yan Dongye Li 2011Neural Regeneration Research2011,6,14:0
7Night-time radiative warming using the atmosphere显示文摘Night-time warming is vital for human production and daily life.Conventional methods like active heaters are energy-intensive,while passive insulating films possess restrictions regarding space consumption and the lack of heat gain.In this work,a nanophotonic-based night-time warming strategy that passively inhibits thermal radiation of objects while actively harnessing that of atmosphere is proposed.By using a photonic-engineered thin film that exhibits high reflectivity(~0.91)in the atmospheric transparent band(8-14μm)and high absorptivity(~0.7)in the atmospheric radiative band(5-8 and 14-16μm),temperature rise of 2.1℃/4.4℃compared to typical low-e film and broadband absorber is achieved.Moreover,net heat loss as low as 9Wm-2 is experimentally observed,compared to 16 and 39Wm-2 for low-e film and broadband absorber,respectively.This strategy suggests an innovative way for sustainable warming,thus contributes to addressing the challenges of climate change and promoting global carbon neutrality.Yining Zhu Yiwei Zhou Bing Qin Rui Qin Min Qiu Qiang Li 2023Light(Science & Applications)2023,12,12:0

9Cyclic Characteristics of the Physical Properties of Key Strata in CBM Systems Controlled by Sequence Stratigraphy—An Example from the Gujiao Block显示文摘Multiple coal seams and interbedded rock assemblages formed in vertical progression due to the influence of multiple stages of sea level transgressions.Based on mercury injection experiment,low temperature liquid nitrogen experiment,porosity and permeability experiment and breakthrough pressure experiment,the vertical variation characteristics of coal-bearing strata in Gujiao block are explained in detail.The results of the mercury injection and low temperature liquid nitrogen experiments show that the pore structure characteristics fluctuate with increasing depth in the strata,with fewer micropores followed by transition pores.The BET specific surface area and average pore diameter of the Shanxi Formation are generally larger than those of the Taiyuan Formation.Due to the continuous cyclic sequence stratigraphy changes,the porosity,permeability,breakthrough pressure and breakthrough time of the samples show a certain cyclicity.Within the same sequence,the porosity is larger,and the permeability is smaller near the maximum flooding surface.Although the permeability of the sandstone samples is higher,the porosity is lower,and the breakthrough pressure and breakthrough times are greater.The strata in the study area formed in an oxidized environment that was affected by freshwater,and the pore structure of different lithologies is quite different.After the formation of sandstone,the intergranular pores generally underwent filling with secondary quartz,clay minerals and organic matter,resulting in low porosity and permeability.WANG Gang QIN Yong XIE Yiwei WANG Ziwei WANG Boyang WANG Qi ZHANG Xiaoyang 2020Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2020,94,2:0
10Roles of functional catechol-Omethyltransferase genotypes in Chinese patients with Parkinson’s disease显示文摘Background:Recent studies have found that the functional catechol-O-methyltransferase(COMT)gene may be associated with the susceptibility to and pharmacotherapy of Parkinson’s disease(PD).In this case–control study,we investigated the most common functional COMT gene haplotypes that had been shown to influence COMT enzymatic activity and the association of the single and combined COMT haplotypes with clinical symptoms and pharmacotherapy in Chinese patients with PD.Methods:One hundred forty-three patients with idiopathic PD and 157 healthy individuals were enrolled in this study.Four single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs)in the COMT gene(formed by SNPs)were genotyped in each participant:rs6269 A>G;rs4633 C>T;rs4818 C>G;and rs4680 G>A.Results:The frequencies of rs4633 T carriers,rs4680 A carriers and the two linked rs4633-rs4680 T/A carriers were significantly higher in the early onset PD group than in the healthy controls(all P<0.05).Homozygosity for rs4633(TT),rs4680(AA)and of the two linked rs4633-rs4680(TT/AA)was significantly more frequent in patients who exhibited the“wearing-off”phenomenon,longer disease duration,higher levodopa equivalent doses(LED)and higher Unified Parkinson’s Disease Rating Scale(UPDRS)scores(P<0.05).No significant differences were observed in the clinical features of patients who carried individual rs6269 and rs4818,the two linked rs6269-rs4818 and the four combined COMT SNPs.Conclusions:The results showed a possible association of combined functional COMT SNPs with PD risk,disease duration,the“wearing-off”phenomenon,daily LEDs and higher UPDRS scores,which may be useful in instituting individualized therapy for patients with PD.Yiwei Qian Jiujiang Liu Shaoqing Xu Xiaodong Yang Qin Xiao 2017Translational Neurodegeneration2017,6,1:0
11ICAM-1 depletion in the center of immunological synapses is important for calcium releasing in T-cells显示文摘T-cell activation requires the formation of the immunological sy napse(IS)bet ween a T-cll and anantigen-presenting cell(AP C)to control the development of the adaptive immune response.How-ever,calcium release,an initial signal of T-cell activation,has been found to occur before IS for-mation.The mechanism for triggering the calcium signaling and relationship bet ween calciumrelease and IS format ion remains unclear.Herein,using live-cell imaging,we found that int ercellularadhesion molecule 1(ICAM-1),an essential mdlecule for IS formation,accumulated and then wasdepleted at the center of the synapse before complete IS formation.During the proces of ICAM1depletion,calcium was released.if ICAM-1 failed to be depleted from the center of the synapse,thesustained calcium signaling could not be induced.Moreover,depletion of ICAM-1 in ISs preferen-tially ccurred with the contact of antigen-specific T-cels and dendritic clls(DCs).Blocking thebinding ofICA M-1 and lymphocy te finction-associated antigen 1(LFA-1),ICAM-1 failed to depleteat the center of the synapse,and calcium release in T-clls decreased.In studying the mechanism ofhow the depletion ofiCA M1 could influence calcium release in T-clls,we found that the movementof ICAM-1 was associat ed with the localization of LFA-1 in the IS,which afected the localization ofcalcium microdomains,ORAIl and mitochondria in IS.Therefore,the depletion of ICAM-1 in the center of the synapse is an important factor for an initial sust ained calcium release in T-cells.Yuanzhen Suo Wei Lin Yuting Deng Zhichao Fan Lizeng Qin Guosheng Jiang Yiwei Chu Xunbin Wei 2018Journal of Innovative Optical Health Sciences2018,,2:0
12Graphene-Fiber Biochemical Sensors: Principles, Implementations, and Advances显示文摘Single atomically thick graphene, with unique structural flexibility, surface sensitivity, and effective light-mater interaction, has shown exceptional advances in optoelectronics. It opens a door for diverse functionalized photonic devices, ranging from passive polarizers to active lasers and parametric oscillators. Among them, graphene-fiber biochemical sensors combine the merits of both graphene and fiber structures, demonstrating impressively high performances, such as single-molecule detectability and fast responsibility. These graphene-fiber biochemical sensors can offer tools in various applications, such as gas tracing, chemical analysis, and medical testing. In this paper, we review the emerging graphene-fiber biochemical sensors comprehensively, including the sensing principles, device fabrications, systematic implementations, and advanced applications.
