| 2 | Experimental research on the heating performance of a single cylinder refrigerant injection rotary compressor heat pump with flash tank显示文摘A single cylinder rotary compressor was applied in the refrigerant injection air-source heat pump to improve the heating performance in cold regions. In this study, the performance of an R410 A single cylinder rotary compressor vapor injection(SCRCVI) system was measured and analyzed by varying the compressor frequency f and injection pressure Pi njat the ambient temperature To d=–10°C.The experimental results indicated that an optimum injection pressure to gain the maximum COP_h (coefficient of performance) existed in the SCRCVI cycle. However, the maximum COP_h of the SCRCVI system decreased as the increase of the frequency, and the maximum COPhwas even lower than that of the CSVC system at high compressor frequency. Therefore, in view of the energy saving and emission reduction, the SCRCVI system should be switched to single stage compression system when the heating capacity demand could be satisfied at high compressor frequency f. Compared to the conventional single-stage vapor compression(CSVC) system, refrigerant injection could enhance the heating capacities and COP_h by 28.2% and 7.91%, respectively. The average total mass flow rate of the SCRCVI system was 24.68% higher than that of the CSVC system. As the SCRCVI system worked at the optimum injection pressure, the variation trends of the different system parameters were investigated in detail. These trends were reliably used to optimize the refrigerant injection system design and the control strategy. | 3 | Development of a laser capture microscope-based single-cell-type proteomics tool for studying proteomes of individual cell layers of plant roots显示文摘Single-cell-type proteomics provides the capability to revealing the genomic and proteomics information at cell-level resolution.However,the methodology for this type of research has not been well-developed.This paper reports developing a workflow of laser capture microdissection(LCM)followed by gel-liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry(GeLC-MS/MS)-based proteomics analysis for the identification of proteomes contained in individual cell layers of tomato roots.Thin-sections(~10-μm thick,10 sections per root tip)were prepared for root tips of tomato germinating seedlings.Epidermal and cortical cells(5000–7000 cells per tissue type)were isolated under a LCM microscope.Proteins were isolated and then separated by SDS–polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis followed by in-gel-tryptic digestion.The MS and MS/MS spectra generated using nanoLC-MS/MS analysis of the tryptic peptides were searched against ITAG2.4 tomato protein database to identify proteins contained in each single-cell-type sample.Based on the biological functions,proteins with proven functions in root hair development were identified in epidermal cells but not in the cortical cells.Several of these proteins were found in Al-treated roots only.The results demonstrated that the cell-type-specific proteome is relevant for tissue-specific functions in tomato roots.Increasing the coverage of proteomes and reducing the inevitable cross-contamination from adjacent cell layers,in both vertical and cross directions when cells are isolated from slides prepared using intact root tips,are the major challenges using the technology in proteomics analysis of plant roots. | Yingde Zhu Hui Li Sarabjit Bhatti Suping Zhou Yong Yang Tara Fish Theodore W Thannhauser | 2016 | Horticulture Research2016,3,1: | 2 |
| 4 | Ag_(3)PO_(4) decorated black urchin-like defective TiO_(2) for rapid and long-term bacteria-killing under visible light显示文摘Both phototherapy via photocatalysts and physical puncture by artificial nanostructures are promising substitutes for antibiotics when treating drug-resistant bacterial infectious diseases.However,the photodynamic therapeutic efficacy of photocatalysts is seriously restricted by the rapid recombination of photogenerated electron-hole pairs.Meanwhile,the nanostructures of physical puncture are limited to two-dimensional(2D)platforms,and they cannot be fully used yet.Thus,this research developed a synergistic system of Ag_(3)PO_(4) nanoparticles(NPs),decorated with black urchin-like defective TiO_(2)(BU-TiO_(2-X)/Ag_(3)PO_(4)).These NPs had a decreased bandgap compared to BU-TiO_(2-X),and BU-TiO_(2)-X/Ag_(3)PO_(4)(3:1)exhibited the lowest bandgap and the highest separation efficiency for photogenerated electron-hole pairs.After combination with BU-TiO_(2-X),the photostability of Ag_(3)PO_(4) improved because the oxygen vacancy of BU-TiO_(2-X) retards the reduction of Ag^(+) in Ag_(3)PO_(4) into Ag^(0),thus reducing its toxicity.In addition,the nanospikes on the surface of BU-TiO_(2-X) can,from all directions,physically puncture bacterial cells,thus assisting the hybrid’s photodynamic therapeutic effects,alongside the small amount of Ag^(+) released from Ag_(3)PO_(4).This achieves synergy,endowing the hybrid with high antibacterial efficacy of 99.76±0.15%and 99.85±0.09%against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus,respectively,after light irradiation for 20 min followed by darkness for 12 h.It is anticipated that these findings may bring new insight for developing synergistic treatment strategies against bacterial infectious diseases or pathogenic bacterial polluted environments. | Yingde Xu Xiangmei Liu Yufeng Zheng Changyi Li Kelvin Wai Kwok Yeung Zhenduo Cui Yanqin Liang Zhaoyang Li Shengli Zhu Shuilin Wu | 2021 | Bioactive Materials2021,6,6: | 2 |

| 6 | Modeling of mechanical properties of as-cast Mg-Li-Al alloys based on PSO-BP algorithm显示文摘Artificial neural networks have been widely used to predict the mechanical properties of alloys in material research.This study aims to investigate the implicit relationship between the compositions and mechanical properties of as-cast Mg-Li-Al alloys.Based on the experimental collection of the tensile strength and the elongation of representative Mg-Li-Al alloys,a momentum back-propagation(BP)neural network with a single hidden layer was established.Particle swarm optimization(PSO)was applied to optimize the BP model.In the neural network,the input variables were the contents of Mg,Li and Al,and the output variables were the tensile strength and the elongation. | 10 | Origin and chronology for hornblende gabbroic intrusions in Urad Zhongqi of western Inner Mongolia and their tectonic implications显示文摘The Urad Zhongqi mafic intrusions crop out in western Inner Mongolia and are dominated by hornblende gabbro.Zircon LA-ICP-MS U-Pb dating indicates that the mafic pluton was emplaced in the Early Permian(272 ± 3Ma).The hornblende gabbro rocks have low concentrations of Si O2,high total Fe2O3,Mg O,Ni,Co,Sc and Cr.The rocks are characterized by selective enrichment of large ion lithophile elements(LILE) and light rare earth elements(LREE),and depletion in high field strength elements(HFSE)(e.g.Nb,Ta,Zr,Hf,P and Ti).It suggests that they formed from a primary magma generated by the partial melting of lithospheric mantle material had been previously modified by subduction-related fluids.According to the geochemical data and the geology of the region,the authors found that the Early Permian hornblende gabbroic in western Inner Mongolia formed in a post-collisional extensional setting. | WANG Yingde SUN Fengyue WANG Li ZHANG Gengxin LIU Jinlong Huo Liang | 2015 | Global Geology2015,18,2: | 0 |
