| 1 | Evidence of compliance with and effectiveness of guidelines for noninvasive prenatal testing in China:a retrospective study of 189,809 cases显示文摘In China,the medical guidelines recommend performing noninvasive prenatal testing(NIPT)with caution for pregnant women aged 35 years or older.However,the Mother and Child Health Care Law suggests that all primiparous women whose age is older than 35 years undergo prenatal diagnosis.These two inconsistent suggestions/recommendations have made obstetricians confused about whether to offer NIPT to these older pregnant women.To face this issue and find out the solution we performed a retrospective study of 189,809 NIPT samples collected from 28 provincial-leveled administrative units in China.Of 1,564 women with high-risk pregnancies who underwent NIPT,459(29.3%)did not participate in follow-up.The compound sensitivity and specificity of NIPT for trisomies 21,18 and 13 detection was 99.1%(95%CI,98.0%–99.6%)and 99.9%(95%CI,98.8%–99.9%),respectively.In secundiparous women,NIPT showed high sensitivity and specificity similar to that in primiparous women.The observed risk for trisomies 21 and 18 significantly increased when the maternal age was 39 and older.After the publication of the current NIPT policy,the follow-up rate at our center was 97.9%;however,a large number of women are not in maternal and infant care networks nationwide,and that makes the follow-up rate outside our center relatively low.Our study shows that to balance the prevention of major aneuploidies and the limited resources for prenatal diagnosis,the cut-off age of 35 for invasive prenatal diagnosis might be unnecessary.Although the NIPT guidelines are well written,how to practice it effectively,especially in less industrialized areas,is worth discussing. | Chan Tian Tao Deng Xiuhuang Zhu Chen Gong Yangyu Zhao Yuan Wei Rong Li Xiufeng Xu Miaonan He Zhiwei Zhang Jing Cheng Mol BenWillem Jie Qiao | 2020 | Science China(Life Sciences)2020,63,3: | 10 |
| 2 | The vicK gene of Streptococcus mutans mediates its cariogenicity via exopolysaccharides metabolism显示文摘Streptococcus mutans(S.mutans)is generally regarded as a major contributor to dental caries because of its ability to synthesize extracellular polysaccharides(EPS)that aid in the formation of plaque biofilm.The VicRKX system of S.mutans plays an important role in biofilm formation.The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of vicK gene on specific characteristics of EPS in S.mutans biofilm.We constructed single-species biofilms formed by different mutants of vicK gene.Production and distribution of EPS were detected through atomic force microscopy,scanning electron microscopy and confocal laser scanning microscopy.Microcosmic structures of EPS were analyzed by gel permeation chromatography and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry.Cariogenicity of the vicK mutant was assessed in a specific pathogen-free rat model.Transcriptional levels of cariogenicityassociated genes were confirmed by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction.The results showed that deletion of vicK gene suppressed biofilm formation as well as EPS production,and EPS were synthesized mostly around the cells.Molecular weight and monosaccharide components underwent evident alterations.Biofilms formed in vivo were sparse and contributed a decreased degree of caries.Moreover,expressional levels of genes related to EPS synthesis were down-regulated,except for gtfB.Our report demonstrates that vicK gene enhances biofilm formation and subsequent caries development.And this may due to its regulations on EPS metabolism,like synthesis or microcosmic features of EPS.This study suggests that vicK gene and EPS can be considered as promising targets to modulate dental caries. | Yalan Deng Yingming Yang Bin Zhang Hong Chen Yangyu Lu Shirui Ren Lei Lei Tao Hu | 2021 | International Journal of Oral Science2021,13,4: | 2 |
| 3 | Which is the determinant for cellulose degradation in cooperative ionic liquid pairs: dissolution or catalysis?显示文摘Catalytic conversion of sustainable cellulose to the value-added chemicals and high quality biofuel has been recognized as a perfect approach for the alleviation of the dependence on the non-renewable fossil resources. Previously, we successfully designed and explored novel and efficient cooperative ionic liquid pairs for this renewable material, which has advantages of high reactor efficiency than current technologies because of the dissolution and in situ catalytic decomposition mechanism. Here, the determinant of this process is further studied by the intensive investigation on the relationship between the cellulose conversion and the properties of ionic liquid catalyst and solvent. Scanning electron microscope(SEM), thermogravimetric analysis(TG) and elemental analysis were used for the comparative characterization of raw cellulose and the residues. | 6 | Risk Factors and Pregnancy Outcome in Women with a History of Cesarean Section Complicated by Placenta Accreta显示文摘Objective:To explore the risk factors and pregnancy outcomes in women with a history of cesarean section complicated by placenta accreta(PA).Methods:This case-control study included clinical data from singleton mothers with a history of cesarean section in 11 public tertiary hospitals in seven provinces of China between January 2017 and December 2017.According to the intraoperative findings after delivery,the study population was divided into PA and non-PA groups.We compared the pregnancy outcomes between the two groups,used multivariate logistic regression to analyze the risk factors for placental accreta.Results:For this study we included 11,074 pregnant women with a history of cesarean section;and of these,869 cases were in the PA group and 10,205 cases were in the non-PA group.Compared with the non-PA group,the probability of postpartum hemorrhage(236/10,205,2.31%vs.283/869,32.57%),severe postpartum hemorrhage(89/10,205,0.87%vs.186/869,21.75%),diffuse intravascular coagulation(3/10,205,0.03%vs.4/869,0.46%),puerperal infection(33/10,205,0.32%vs.12/869,1.38%),intraoperative bladder injury(1/10,205,0.01%vs.16/869,1.84%),hysterectomy(130/10,205,1.27%vs.59/869,6.79%),and blood transfusion(328/10,205,3.21%vs.231/869,26.58%)was significantly increased in the PA group(P<0.05).At the same time,the neonatal birth weight 3250.00(2950.00–3520.00)g vs.2920.00(2530.00–3250.00)g),the probability of neonatal comorbidities(245/10,205,2.40%vs.61/869,7.02%),and the rate of neonatal intensive care unit admission(817/10,205,8.01%vs.210/869,24.17%)also increased significantly(P<0.05).Weight(odds ratio)(OR)=1.03,95%confidence interval(CI):1.01–1.05)),parity(OR=1.18,95%CI:1.03–1.34),number of miscarriages(OR=1.31,95%CI:1.17–1.47),number of previous cesarean sections(OR=2.57,95%CI:2.02–3.26),history of premature rupture of membrane(OR=1.61,95%CI:1.32–1.96),previous cesarean-section transverse incisions(OR=1.38,95%CI:1.12–1.69),history of placenta previa(OR=2.44,95%CI:1.50–3.96),and the combination of prenatal hemorrhage(OR=9.95,95%CI:8.42–11.75)and placenta previa(OR=91.74,95%CI:74.11–113.56)were all independent risk factors for PA.Conclusion:There was an increased risk of adverse outcomes in pregnancies complicated by PA in women with a history of cesarean section,and this required close clinical attention.Weight before pregnancy,parity,number of miscarriages,number of previous cesarean sections,history of premature rupture of membranes,past transverse incisions in cesarean sections,a history of placenta previa,prenatal hemorrhage,and placenta previa were independent risk factors for pregnancies complicated with PA in women with a history of cesarean section.These independent risk factors showed a high value in predicting the risk for placentab accreta in pregnancies of women with a history of cesarean section. | Yingyu Liang Lizi Zhang Shilei Bi Jingsi Chen Shanshan Zeng Lijun Huang Yulian Li Minshan Huang Hu Tan Jinping Jia Suiwen Wen Zhijian Wang Yinli Cao Shaoshuai Wang Xiaoyan Xu Ling Feng Xianlan Zhao Yangyu Zhao Qiying Zhu Hongbo Qi Lanzhen Zhang Hongtian Li Lili Du Dunjin Chen | 2022 | Maternal-Fetal Medicine2022,4,3: | 1 |

| 8 | How coherence is governing diffuson heat transfer in amorphous solids显示文摘Thermal transport in amorphous materials has remained one of the fundamental questions in solid state physics while involving a very large field of applications.Using a heat conduction theory incorporating coherence,we demonstrate that the strong phase correlation between local and non-propagating modes,commonly named diffusons in the terminology of amorphous systems,triggers the conduction of heat.By treating the thermal vibrations as collective excitations,the significant contribution of diffusons,predominantly relying on coherence,further reveals interesting temperature and length dependences of thermal conductivity.The propagation length of diffuson clusters is found to reach the micron,overpassing the one of propagons.The explored wavelike behavior of diffusons uncovers the unsolved physical picture of mode correlation in prevailing models and further provides an interpretation of their ability to transport heat.This work introduces a framework for understanding thermal vibrations and transport in amorphous materials,as well as an unexpected insight into the wave nature of thermal vibrations. | Zhongwei Zhang Yangyu Guo Marc Bescond Jie Chen Masahiro Nomura Sebastian Volz | 2022 | npj Computational Materials2022,,1: | 1 |

| 10 | Chinese Fetal Growth:A Multicenter Cohort Study Based on Fetal Ultrasound Measurements显示文摘Objective:To build a reference fetal growth chart for the Chinese population based on fetal ultrasound measurements.Methods:This was a multicenter,population-based retrospective cohort study.Longitudinal ultrasound measurement data were collected from 24 hospitals in 18 provinces of China from 1st September through 31st October of 2019.The estimated fetal weight(EFW)was calculated based on head circumference,abdominal circumference,and femur length using Hadlock formula 3.Fetal growth curves were estimated using a two-level linear regression model with cubic splines.All participants were divided into two groups:the northern group(n=5829)and the southern group(n=3246)based on the geographical division of China and male fetus group(n=4775)and female fetus group(n=4300)based on fetal gender.The EFW was compared by fetal gender and geographical group.All statistical models were adjusted for maternal sociodemographic characteristics.Results:A total of 9075 participants with 31,700 ultrasound measurement records were included in this study.Male fetuses demonstrated significantly larger EFW compared to female ones starting at 16 weeks of gestation and extending to delivery(global testP<0.01).The overall geographic difference in EFW was significant(global testP=0.03),and week-specific comparisons showed that the northern group had a greater EFW starting at 15 weeks of gestation and extending to 29 weeks of gestation,although this difference did not extend to the time of delivery.TheZ-score of EFW confirmed that our Chinese fetal growth charts differed from previously published standards.Conclusion:This study provides EFW and ultrasound biometric reference measurements for Chinese fetuses and reveals differences from other fetal growth charts.The chart is worth promoting in more regions of China but should be tested prudently before use. | Xiaoli Gong Tianchen Wu Xiaoli Wang Lizhen Zhang Yiping You Hongwei Wei Xifang Zuo Ying Zhou Xinli Xing Zhaoyan Meng Qi Lyu Zhaodong Liu Jian Zhang Liyan Hu Junnan Li Li Li Chulin Chen Chunyan Liu Guoqiang Sun Aiju Liu Jingsi Chen Yuan Lyu Yuan Wei Yangyu Zhao | 2023 | Maternal-Fetal Medicine2023,5,1: | 0 |

| 12 | Genetic Flux Between H1 and H2 Haplotypes of the 17q21.31 Inversion in European Population显示文摘The chromosome 17q21.31 inversion is a 900-kb common structural polymorphism found primarily in European population.Although the genetic flux within inversion region was assumed to be considerable suppressed, it is still unclear about the details of genetic exchange between the H1(non-inverted sequence)and H2(inverted sequence) haplotypes of this inversion.Here we describe a refined map of genetic exchanges between pairs of gene arrangements within the 17q21.31 region.Using HapMap phase II data of 1,546 single nucleotide polymorphisms, we successfully deduced 96 H1 and 24 H2 haplotypes in European samples by neighbor-joining tree reconstruction. Furthermore, we identified 15 and 26 candidate tracts with reciprocal and non-reciprocal genetic exchanges, respectively.In all 15 regions harboring reciprocal exchange, haplotypes reconstructed by clone sequencing did not support these exchange events, suggesting that such signals of exchange between two sister chromosomes in certain heterozygous individual were caused by phasing error regions.On the other hand, the finished clone sequencing across 4 of 26 tracts with non-reciprocal genetic flux confirmed that this kind of genetic exchange was caused by gene conversion.In summary, as crossover between pairs of gene arrangements had been considerably suppressed, gene conversion might be the most important mechanism for genetic exchange at 17q21.31. | Libin Deng Xiaoli Tang Xiangwen Hao Wei Chen Jiari Lin Yangyu Yu Dake Zhang Changqing Zeng | 2011 | Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2011,9,3: | 0 |
| 13 | THE METHOD OF SEPARATING HARMONIC SIGNALS FROM MULTIPLICATIVE AND ADDITIVE NOISES显示文摘This paper focuses on the extraction of a harmonic signal from multiplicative and additive noises. A method is proposed in two stages: (1) to square the original discrete time series, which in- cludes both signals and noises, and form a new time series. By this means, the multiplicative noise is converted to additive noise; and (2) to filter out the noise by using existing noise removal schemes. With a large amount of simulation, experimental results demonstrated the efficiency and effective- ness of this newly developed method in terms of Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) and other criteria. From the experiment, it is also found that: the two kinds of noises affect the SNR differently. In gen- eral, the SNR is not influenced by multiplicative Gaussian noise regardless of its variance. However, if both kinds of noise exist, the SNR decreases with the incensement of the Variance of Additive Noise to Multiplicative Noise Ratio (VAMNR). | 15 | Geometric Accuracy and Energy Absorption Characteristics of 3D Printed Continuous Ramie Fiber Reinforced Thin-Walled Composite Structures显示文摘The application of continuous natural fibers as reinforcement in composite thin-walled structures offers a feasible approach to achieve light weight and high strength while remaining environmentally friendly.In addition,additive manufacturing technology provides a favorable process foundation for its realization.In this study,the printability and energy absorption properties of 3D printed continuous fiber reinforced thin-walled structures with different configurations were investigated.The results suggested that a low printing speed and a proper layer thickness would mitigate the printing defects within the structures.The printing geometry accuracy of the structures could be further improved by rounding the sharp corners with appropriate radii.This study successfully fabricated structures with vari-ous configurations characterized by high geometric accuracy through printing parameters optimization and path smoothing.Moreover,the compressive property and energy absorption characteristics of the structures under quasi-static axial compression were evaluated and compared.It was found that all studied thin-walled structures exhibited progressive folding deformation patterns during compression.In particular,energy absorption process was achieved through the combined damage modes of plastic deformation,fiber pullout and delamination.Furthermore,the com-parison results showed that the hexagonal structure exhibited the best energy absorption performance.The study revealed the structure-mechanical property relationship of 3D printed continuous fiber reinforced composite thin-walled structures through the analysis of multiscale failure characteristics and load response,which is valuable for broadening their applications. | Kui Wang Hao Lin Antoine Le Duigou Ruijun Cai Yangyu Huang Ping Cheng Honghao Zhang Yong Peng | 2023 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2023,36,6: | 0 |

This method maps the secret sequence to several chaos periodic orbits, and a short sequence obtained by evolving the system parameters of the periodic orbits in another nonlinear system will be the key to reconstruct these periodic orbits. In the decryption end, the shadowing method of chaos trajectory based on the modified Newton-Raphson algorithm is adopted to restore these system parameters.
