1Fast-moving target tracking based on mean shift and frame-difference methods显示文摘The mean shift tracker has difficulty in tracking fast moving targets and suffers from tracking error accumulation problem.To overcome the limitations of the mean shift method,a new approach is proposed by integrating the mean shift algorithm and frame-difference methods.The rough position of the moving target is first located by the direct frame-difference algorithm and three-frame-difference algorithm for the immobile camera scenes and mobile camera scenes,respectively.Then,the mean shift algorithm is used to achieve precise tracking of the target.Several tracking experiments show that the proposed method can effectively track first moving targets and overcome the tracking error accumulation problem.Hongpeng Yin Yi Chai Simon X. 4STUDY ON THE PREDICTIVE METHOD OF BUCKLING DEFORMATIONS OF THIN-PLATE WELDED STRUCTURES显示文摘The buckling formation and influence factors during welding thin - plated structures were investigated based on finite element methods, An engineering treatment method for prdicating the buckling distor- tion was proposed in here. It was used the equivalent applied thermal - load to simulate the welding residual stress,therefore the calculation of complex welding distoriton can be transformed into 3D elas- tic structural applied- load analyses, which can reduce the quantities of calculating works effectively. The validation of the method was verified by comparison of the numerical simulation and experimental results. The simulation of buckling distorition for side - walled structrues of paseenger train was per- formed and the calculation was in agreement with measuring results in general. It was shown that the main factors for producing the buckling were the intermittent fillet and ping the during welding the stiffened beams and columns to the panel.The existence of the free edge of panels would reduce the crit- ical buckling stress and enlarge the deflection obviously,but the continuous weld in closed frames didn’ t degrade the buckling situation.X. 5Evaluating the Effect of Tillage on Carbon Sequestration Using the Minimum Detectable Difference Concept显示文摘Three long-term field trials in humid regions of Canada and the USA were used to evaluate the influence of soil depth and sample numbers on soil organic carbon (SOC) sequestration in no-tillage (NT) and moldboard plow (MP) corn (Zea mays L.) and soybean (Glycine max L.) production systems. The first trial was conducted on a Maryhill silt loam (Typic Hapludalf) at Elora, Ontario, Canada, the second on a Brookston clay loam (Typic Argiaquoll) at Woodslee, Ontario, Canada, and the third on a Thorp silt loam (Argiaquic Argialboll) at Urbana, Illinois, USA. No-tillage led to significantly higher SOC concentrations in the top 5 cm compared to MP at all 3 sites. However, NT resulted in significantly lower SOC in sub-surface soils as compared to MP at Woodslee (10-20 cm, P = 0.01) and Urbana (20-30 cm, P < 0.10). No-tillage had significantly more SOC storage than MP at the Elora site (3.3 Mg C ha-1) and at the Woodslee site (6.2 Mg C ha-1) on an equivalent mass basis (1350 Mg ha-1 soil equivalent mass). Similarly, NT had greater SOC storage than MP at the Urbana site (2.7 Mg C ha-1) on an equivalent mass basis of 675 Mg ha-1 soil. However, these differences disappeared when the entire plow layer was evaluated for both the Woodslee and Urbana sites as a result of the higher SOC concentrations in MP than in NT at depth. Using the minimum detectable difference technique, we observed that up to 1500 soil sample per tillage treatment comparison will have to be collected and analyzed for the Elora and Woodslee sites and over 40 soil samples per tillage treatment comparison for the Urbana to statistically separate significant differences in the SOC contents of sub-plow depth soils. Therefore, it is impracticable, and at the least prohibitively expensive, to detect tillage-induced differences in soil C beyond the plow layer in various soils.X. M. YANG C. F. DRURY M. M. WANDER B. 7Late Cretaceous biota and the Cretaceous-Paleogene(K--Pg)Boundary in Jiayin of Heilongjiang,China显示文摘An international cooperative study of the Late Cretaceous biota and non-marine strata including the Cretaceous-Paleogene(K--Pg) boundary in Jiayin near the Heilongjiang River,China during 2002-2010,is summarized in this paper. The strata includes the Upper Cretaceous Yong'ancun-,Taipinglinchang-,Yuliang-zi-,and Furao formations,and the Paleocence Wuyun Formation consisting of Baoshantou Member and a Coalbearing Member. Seven palynological assemblages from Santonian to Paleocene are recognized,which is used for definition of the K--Pg boundary. Through the palynological analysis of three drilled boreholes (XHY-2005,2006,2008) in Xiaoheyan of western Jiayin,the K--Pg boundary is defined within 20. 00-20. 05 m in the borehole XHY-2006 (as a standard boundary) which is just between the top of Furao Formation (late Maasterichtian) and the base of Baishantou Member (early Danian) . These new research results are supported by paleo- magnetic,geochemical and other analyses,also. On the other hand,the presence of eight taxa of Maasterichtian dinosaurs (mostly hadrosaurids) have been recognized by the authors; and two mega-plant assemblages from the Yong'ancun Fm (Santonian) to Taipinglinchang Fm (Campanian) are confirmed. These research a-chievements indicate that the Upper Cretaceous-Paleocene in Jiayin can be well correlated to the strata in the neighboring Zeya-Bureja basin,Russia. The K--Pg boundary definited in Jiayin is the first well documented non-marine K--Pg boundary in China. 9Microstructure and mechanical properties of AZ61 Mg alloy prepared by multi directional forging显示文摘AZ61Mg alloy was multi directionally forged(MDFed) during decreasing temperature condition from 643 K to 483 K at a true strain rate of 3×10-3 s-1 up to cumulative strain of∑△ε=4.0 at maximum.A pass strain of△ε=0.8 was employed.While average grain size decreased gradually with increasing cumulative strain,the evolution of fine-grained structure strongly depended on the MDF temperature.Under the condition where the temperature was higher than the most adequate one,grain coarsening partially took place during MDF.In contrast,at lower temperature,inhomogeneous microstructure composed of the initial coarse and newly appeared fine grains was evolved.After straining over∑△ε=3.2(i.e.,over 4 passes of MDF) ,equiaxed ultrafine grains(UFGs) having average size of about and lower than 1μm were uniformly evolved.While the MDFed alloy to∑△ε=4.0 possessed relatively high hardness of HV 99,and it accepted further about 20%cold rolling almost without cracking.Because of the superior formability of the UFGed AZ61Mg alloy,the hardness was further easily raised to HV 120 by following cold rolling.H. 10ELECTROCHEMICAL IMPEDANCE SPECTROSCOPY STUDY OF CORROSION INHIBITION OF MODIFIED LIGNOSULPHONATE FOR CARBON STEEL显示文摘The corrosion inhibition for carbon steel in circulating cooling water by modified lignosulphonate has been investigated using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy technique. Results show that the inhibition efficiency of modified lignosulphonate GCL2 is a great improvement on that of lignosulphonate. The maximum inhibition efficiency of GCL2 reaches 99.21% at the concentration of 400mg·L-1 at 303K. The corrosion inhibition of GCL2 is attributed to forming adsorption film on the metal surface for the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy in GCL2 solution shows more than one time-constant. Moreover, results also indicate that it is more efficient in stirring solution than in still solution for GCL2 because the constant of adsorption in stirring solution is much larger than that in still solution. 11SLIPS-TENG: robust triboelectric nanogenerator with optical and charge transparency using a slippery interface显示文摘Energy harvesting devices that prosper in harsh environments are highly demanded in a wide range of applications ranging from wearable and biomedical devices to self-powered and intelligent systems.Particularly,over the past several years,the innovation of triboelectric nanogenerators(TENGs)that efficiently convert ambient kinetic energy of water droplets or wave power to electricity has received growing attention.One of the main bottlenecks for the practical implications of such devices originates from the fast degradation of the physiochemical properties of interfacial materials under harsh environments.To overcome these challenges,here we report the design of a novel slippery lubricant-impregnated porous surface(SLIPS)based TENG,referred to as SLIPS-TENG,which exhibits many distinctive advantages over conventional design including optical transparency,configurability,self-cleaning,flexibility,and power generation stability,in a wide range of working environments.Unexpectedly,the slippery and configurable lubricant layer not only serves as a unique substrate for liquid/droplet transport and optical transmission,but also for efficient charge transfer.Moreover,we show that there exists a critical thickness in the liquid layer,below which the triboelectric effect is almost identical to that without the presence of such a liquid film.Such an intriguing charge transparency behavior is reminiscent of the wetting transparency and van der Waals potential transparency of graphene previously reported,though the fundamental mechanism remains to be elucidated.We envision that the marriage of these two seemingly totally different arenas(SLIPS and TENG)provides a paradigm shift in the design of robust and versatile energy devices that can be used as a clean and longer-lifetime alternative in various working environments.Wanghuai Xu Xiaofeng Zhou Chonglei Hao Huanxi Zheng Yuan Liu Xiantong Yan Zhengbao Yang Michael Leung Xiao Cheng Zeng Ronald X. 14The Characterization of Sputtered Zr-Ge-N Thin Films as Diffusion Barriers Between Copper and Silicon显示文摘The main purpose of the present micro-structural analysis by transmission electron microscopy(TEM)and X-ray diffraction(XRD)was to investigate whether amorphous Zr-Ge-N films are a potential candidate as a diffusion barrier for Cu wiring used in Si devices.The Zr-Ge-N films were prepared by a radio frequency(RF)reactive magnetron sputter-deposition technique using N2 and Ar mixed gas,and the film structure was found to be sensitive to the gas flow ratio of N2 vs.Ar during sputtering.Polycrystalline Zr-Ge-N films were obtained when the N2/(Ar+N2)ratio was smaller than 0.2 and amorphous-like Zr-Ge-N films were obtained when the ratio was larger than 0.3.Diffusion barrier test was performed by annealing the Cu/Zr-Ge-N/Si film stack under Ar atmosphere.The deposited Zr-Ge-N(C)films remained amorphous even after high temperature annealing.The Cu diffusion profile in the film was assessed by the Auger electron spectroscopy(AES).The results indicate that Cu diffusion was minimal in amorphous Zr-Ge-N(C)films even at high annealing temperatures of 800℃.Yang, J.
