Surface curvature-confined strategy to ultrasmall nickel-molybdenum sulfide nanoflakes for highly efficient deep hydrodesulfurization显示文摘Size-controlled synthesis of two-dimensional(2D)catalysts with low stacking numbers and small nanoflake lengths is crucial for promoting the catalytic performance in diverse heterogeneous catalysis.Herein,we report a facile and general“surface curvature-confined synthesis”strategy to modulate the slab lengths and stacking numbers of 2D transition metal sulfides by controlling the strain induced by different surface curvature of supports. An efficient NiMo sulfide with shorter slab length(average 3.71 nm),less stacking number(1–2 layers)and more edge active sites is synthesized onto ZSM-5 zeolites with the average size of 100 nm,which shows superior kHDS value of dibenzothiophene(14.05×10^−7 mol/(g·s)),enhanced stability up to 80 h,and high direct desulfurization selectivity(>95%).This design concept is also proved to be generally applicable to modulate the slab lengths and stacking numbers of other 2D catalysts such as MoS2 and WS2 nanoflakes, which shows great potentials for developing more ultrasmall 2D catalysts with controlled sizes and excellent catalytic activities. | Xin Kang Jiancong Liu Chungui Tian Dongxu Wang Yaorui Li Hongyan Zhang Xusheng Cheng Aiping Wu Honggang Fu | 2020 | Nano Research2020,13,3: | 5
Tribological properties of high-entropy alloys:A review显示文摘Tribology, which is the study of friction, wear, and lubrication, largely deals with the service performance of structural materials. For example, newly emerging high-entropy alloys(HEAs),which exhibit excellent hardness,anti-oxidation,anti-softening ability, and other prop-erties,enrich the wear-resistance alloy family. To demonstrate the tribological behavior of HEAs systematically, this review first describes the basic tribological characteristics of single-,dual-,and multi-phase HEAs and HEA composites at room temperature. Then,it summarizes the strategies that improve the tribological property of HEAs.This review also discusses the tribological performance at elevated temperatures and provides a brief perspective on the future development of HEAs for tribological applications. | Zhuo Cheng Shuize Wang Guilin Wu Junheng Gao Xusheng Yang Honghui Wu | 2022 | International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2022,29,3: | 2
Comparative population genomics dissects the genetic basis of seven domestication traits in jujube显示文摘Jujube(Ziziphus jujuba Mill.)is an important perennial fruit tree with a range of interesting horticultural traits. It was domesticated from wild jujube(Ziziphus acidojujuba),but the genomic variation dynamics and genetic changes underlying its horticultural traits during domestication are poorly understood. Here,we report a comprehensive genome variation map based on the resequencing of 350 accessions, including wild,semi-wild and cultivated jujube plants,at a>15×depth.Using the combination of a genome-wide association study(GWAS)and selective sweep analysis,we identified several candidate genes potentially involved in regulating seven domestication traits in jujube. For fruit shape and kernel shape,we integrated the GWAS approach with transcriptome profiling data, expression analysis and the transgenic validation of a candidate gene to identify a causal gene,ZjFS3,which encodes an ethyleneresponsive transcription factor.Similarly,we identified a candidate gene for bearing-shoot length and the number of leaves per bearing shoot and two candidate genes for the seed-setting rate using GWAS.In the selective sweep analysis,we also discovered several putative genes for the presence of prickles on bearing shoots and the postharvest shelf life of fleshy fruits. This study outlines the genetic basis of jujube domestication and evolution and provides a rich genomic resource for mining other horticulturally important genes in jujube. | Mingxin Guo Zhongren Zhang Yanwei Cheng Sunan Li Peiyin Shao Qiang Yu Junjie Wang Gan Xu Xiaotian Zhang Jiajia Liu Linlin Hou Hanxiao Liu Xusheng Zhao | 2020 | Horticulture Research2020,7,1: | 2

Design, synthesis and bioassay of the emerging photo-responsive fungicides显示文摘Precise and spatiotemporal control over the pesticide remains to be a challenge.More efficient controlled release systems(CRSs)have been developed to support the precise delivery of active ingredients.Herein,we incorporated the photoremovable protecting groups(PRPGs)into phenamacril(PHE)and obtained two photo-responsive fungicides of NV-PHE and DEACM-PHE.The 4,5-dimethoxy-o-nitrobenzyl(NV)or 7-diethylaminocoumarin(DEACM)-caged PHE could release the active molecule PHE after irradiation of UV light and blue light, respectively.Optical properties and in-vitro/vivo fungicidal activities of NV-PHE and DEACM-PHE demonstrated the feasibility for light controlled release of PHE.DEACM-PHE could release 98%PHE by illumination of blue light. The irradiated DEACM-PHE could preserve the similar bioactivity of PHE,and significantly improve the in-vitro/vivo fungicidal activities compared to the non-irradiated DEACM-PHE.The optical controlled release of PHE from DEACM-PHE enabled the precise and spatiotemporal delivery of PHE,diversifying the development of CRSs for pesticide, and providing environmentfriendly agricultural applications with high pesticide efficiency. | Wen Fu Xinyue Hu Qinglong Yuan Zhiping Xu Jiagao Cheng Zhong Li Xusheng Shao | 2023 | Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,8: | 0
Water bridges are essential to neonicotinoids: Insights from synthesis, bioassay and molecular modelling studies显示文摘Water-bridged H-bonds have been observed in many cases of ligand-receptor recognitions. To explore the roles of water bridges in the binding of neonicotinoids with receptors, twenty-four neonicotinoid compounds with nine fragments, including 1 H-1,2,3-triazole, CN, COOMe, CONHNH_2, CONHMe, NO_2,NH_2, NHCOMe and NHCSNH_2 were synthesized and evaluated, of which, compounds with cyano group showed the best activities against Aphis craccivora. Accordingly, the cyano group is the optimal fragment mimicking the water bridge. Two cyano-substituted cis-nitromethylene compounds display good insecticidal activities, whereas the LC_(50) values are lower than those of their corresponding prototypes.Docking study showed that the cyano group acts only as H-bond acceptor, while the water bridge can act as both donor and acceptor. It revealed that the water bridge might be stable in the active site and was not suitable to be replaced by other groups. The findings illustrated that the water bridge is necessary for high insecticidal activities of neonicotinoids, which should be also helpful in better understanding the binding mode of neonicotinoids. | Chengchun Zhu Guanglong Li Keya Xiao Xusheng Shao Jiagao Cheng Zhong Li | 2019 | Chinese Chemical Letters2019,30,1: | 0
Asymmetrically ligated single atomic nickel sites for efficient hydrogen peroxide electrosynthesis显示文摘Atomic transition-metal-nitrogen-carbon electrocatalysts hold great promise as alternatives to benchmark Pt in the oxygen reduction reaction. The pristine metal centers with quasi square-planar D_(4h) configuration, however, still suffer from unfavorable energetics and thereby strong activity/selectivity trade-off during the catalytic process. Here we present a ligand-field engineering of single-atom Ni-N-C catalysts to boost the sluggish kinetics via rationally constructing prototypical asymmetrically ligated Ni-N_(3)O_(1) sites. The as-obtained Ni-supported multi-walled carbon nanotubes with molten salt-treated(defined as Ni/CNS)catalyst delivered an excellent H_(2)O_(2) selectivity(>90%)within a wide potential window(0.2–0.7 V vs.reversible hydrogen electrode(RHE))and robust stability(for 10 h)in alkaline medium.Combined electron paramagnetic resonance and theoretical analysis rationalize this finding and demonstrate that the broken symmetry facilitates the electron transfer of a σ* to O–O orbital as compared to the Ni-N_(4) counterpart, playing an indispensable role in efficient O_(2) activation. | Xusheng Cheng Jinwen Hu Wenzhe Shang Jingya Guo Cuncun Xin Songlin Zhang Suchan Song Wei Liu Yantao Shi | 2024 | Nano Research2024,17,3: | 0
Computational Investigations about the Effects of Heteromolecular Aggregation on Bioactivities:a Case of Neonicotinoids and Water显示文摘Molecular aggregation state of bioactive compounds plays a key role in bio-interactive procedure.Diverse ag-gregation states of bioactive compounds contribute to different biological or chemical properties.Water-bridge,as the simple hetero-molecular aggregation, has been found bridging the binding between many bioactive compounds and their targets through hydrogen bonding network,e.g.in the recognition of neonicotinoids with insect nAChRs.To better understanding the roles of water-bridge on bioactivities of compounds,an approach of hetero-dimeric ag-gregation with water was proposed.Quantitative structure-activity relationship(QSAR)and pharmacophore mod-eling investigations were applied on 19 neonicotinoids,as well as their aggregates with water. The aggregate-based CoMSIA,PHASE and linear QSAR models presented better statistical significance and predictabilities than the monomer ones, which indicated that the bioactivities correlated with the aggregate properties and water bridged hy-drogen bond of the active site. All results revealed the essential roles of water-bridge in ligand recognition, which should be considered in future ligand design and optimization. | Shuang Xia Jiagao Cheng Yue Feng Xusheng Shao Haibin Luo Zhiping Xu Xiaoyong Xu Zhong Li | 2014 | Chinese Journal of Chemistry2014,32,4: | 0
