1Potential risks and challenges of climate change in the arid region of northwestern China显示文摘In the arid region of northwestern China(ARNC),water resources are the most critical factor restricting socioeconomic development and influencing the stability of the area’s ecological systems.The region’s complex water system and unique hydrological cycle show distinctive characteristics.Moreover,the intensified hydrological cycle and extreme climatic and hydrological events resulting from global warming have led to increased uncertainty around water resources as well as heightened conflict between water supply and water demand.All of these factors are exerting growing pressures on the socioeconomic development and vulnerable ecological environment in the region.This research evaluates the impacts of climate change on water resources,hydrological processes,agricultural system,and desert ecosystems in the ARNC,and addresses some associated risks and challenges specific to this area.The temperature is rising at a rate of 0.31C per decade during 1961–2017 and hydrological processes are being significantly influenced by changes in glaciers,snow cover,and precipitation form,especially in the rivers recharged primarily by melt water.Ecosystems are also largely influenced by climate change,with the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index(NDVI)of natural vegetation exhibited an increasing trend prior to 1998,and then reversed in Xinjiang while the Hexi Corridor of Gansu showed the opposite trends.Furthermore,the desert-oasis transition zone showed a reduction in area due to the warming trend and the recent rapid expansion of irrigated area.Both the warming and intensified drought are threatening agriculture security.The present study could shed light on sustainable development in this region under climate change and provides scientific basis to the construction of the“Silk Road Economic Belt”.Yaning Chen Xueqi Zhang Gonghuan Fang Zhi Li Fei Wang Jingxiu Qin Fan Sun 2020Regional Sustainability2020,1,1:6
2Variability of microphysical characteristics in the “21·7” Henan extremely heavy rainfall event显示文摘In this study, significant rainfall microphysical variability is revealed for the extremely heavy rainfall event over Henan Province in July 2021(the “21·7” Henan EHR event) using a dense network of disdrometers and two polarimetric radars.The broad distributions of specific drop size distribution(DSD) parameters are identified in heavy rainfall from the disdrometer observations, indicating obvious microphysical variability on the surface. A K-means clustering algorithm is adopted to objectively classify the disdrometer datasets into separate groups, and distinct DSD characteristics are found among these heavy rainfall groups. Combined with the supporting microphysical structures obtained through radar observations, comprehensive microphysical features of the DSD groups are derived. An extreme rainfall group is dominantly formed in the deep convection over the plain regions, where the high number of concentrations and large mean sizes of surface raindrops are underpinned by both active ice-phase processes and efficient warm-rain collision-coalescence processes in the vertical direction. Convection located near orographic regions is characterized by restricted ice-phase processes and high coalescence efficiency of liquid hydrometeors, causing the dominant DSD group to comprise negligible large raindrops. 6Determination of 27 pharmaceuticals and personal care products(PPCPs)in water:The benefit of isotope dilution显示文摘Pharmaceuticals and personal care products(PPCPs)are a unique group of emerging and nonpersistent contaminants.In this study,27 PPCPs in various water samples were extracted by solid phase extraction(SPE),and determined by isotope dilution method using liquid chromatography coupled to tandem triple quadruple mass spectrometer(LC-MS/MS).A total of 27 isotopically labeled standards(ILSs)were applied to correct the concentration of PPCPs in spiked ultrapure water,drinking water,river,effluent and influent sewage.The corrected recoveries were 73%-122%with the relative standard deviation(RSD)<16%,except for acetaminophen.The matrix effect for all kinds of water samples was<22%and the method quantitation limits(MQLs)were 0.45-8.6 ng/L.The developed method was successfully applied on environmental water samples.The SPE extracts of spiked ultrapure water,drinking water,river and wastewater effluent were stored for 70 days,and the ILSscorrected recoveries of 27 PPCPs were obtained to evaluate the correction ability of ILSs in the presence of variety interferences.The recoveries of 27 PPCPs over 70 days were within the scope of 72%-140%with the recovery variation<37%in all cases.The isotope dilution method seems to be of benefit when the extract has to be stored for long time before the instrument analysis.Xueqi Fan Jie Gao Wenchao Li Jun Huang Gang Yu 2020Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2020,14,1:0

8Inetetamab combined with pyrotinib and oral vinorelbine for patients with human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 positive advanced breast cancer:A single-arm phase 2 clinical trial显示文摘Background Human epidermal growth factor receptor 2(HER2)-targeted agents have significantly improved the outcomes of patients with HER2-positive breast cancer;however,a large proportion of patients still develop resistance to trastuzumab.In this study,we investigated the efficacy and safety of inetetamab,another anti-HER2 antibody,combined with pyrotinib and oral vinorelbine in patients with HER2-positive advanced breast cancer so as to provide new ideas for the treatment.Methods In this prospective,single-arm,phase 2 trial,patients with HER2-positive advanced breast cancer with disease progression after trastuzumab were recruited.Patients received a combination of inetetamab(loading dose of 8 mg/kg and subsequent doses of 6 mg/kg intravenously once every 3 weeks),pyrotinib(400 mg orally once daily),and vinorelbine(60 mg/m^(2)orally once weekly)until disease progression or intolerable toxicity.The primary endpoint was progression-free survival(PFS).The secondary endpoints included objective response rate(ORR),overall survival(OS),disease control rate(DCR),and safety.Results Between February 13,2022 and December 25,2022,30 patients were screened and enrolled in this study.The median age of the patients at enrollment was 54 years,12 patients(40.0%)had hormone-receptor-positive disease and 23 patients(76.7%)had visceral metastasis.The median PFS was 8.63 months(95%confidence interval[CI]4.15-13.12 months).The median OS was not reached.The ORR was 53.3%(16/30)and the DCR was 96.7%(29/30).The most common Grade III/IV adverse events were leukopenia(n=5,16.7%),neutropenia(n=4,13.3%),and diarrhea(n=3,10%).No treatment-related serious adverse events or deaths occurred.Conclusions The combination regimen of inetetamab,pyrotinib,and oral vinorelbine showed encouraging efficacy and favorable safety in patients with HER2-positive advanced breast cancer and could be considered as an alternative treatment option for the patients.Nan Jin Yi Xu Siqi Wang Chunxiao Sun Xueqi Yan Fan Yang Yan Liang Weiwei Chen Xiang Huang 2024Cancer Pathogenesis and Therapy2024,2,1:0
