| 2 | Theoretical verification of the rationality of strain energy storage index as rockburst criterion based on linear energy storage law显示文摘The rationality of using strain energy storage index(Wet)for evaluating rockburst proneness was theoretically verified based on linear energy storage(LES)law in this study.The LES law is defined as the linear relationship between the elastic strain energy stored inside the solid material and the input strain energy during loading.It is used to determine the elastic strain energy and dissipated strain energy of rock specimens at various loading/unloading stress levels.The results showed that the Wetvalue obtained from experiments was close to the corresponding theoretical one from the LES law.Furthermore,with an increase in the loading/unloading stress level,the ratio of elastic strain energy to dissipated strain energy converged to the peak-strength strain energy storage index(Wp et).This index is stable and can better reflect the relative magnitudes of the stored energy and the dissipated energy of rocks at the whole pre-peak stage than the strain energy storage index.The peak-strength strain energy storage index can replace the conventional strain energy storage index as a new index for evaluating rockburst proneness. | Fengqiang Gong Song Luo Quan Jiang Lei Xu | 2022 | Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2022,14,6: | 4 |
| 3 | Experiments on rockburst proneness of pre-heated granite at different temperatures: Insights from energy storage, dissipation and surplus显示文摘Many underground engineering projects show that rockburst can occur in rocks at great depth and high temperature, and temperature is a critical factor affecting the intensity of rockburst. In general, temperature can affect the energy storage, dissipation, and surplus in rock. To explore the influence of temperature on the energy storage and dissipation characteristics and rockburst proneness, the present study has carried out a range of the uniaxial compression(UC) and single-cyclic loading-unloading uniaxial compression(SCLUC) tests on pre-heated granite specimens at 20℃-700℃. The results demonstrate that the rockburst proneness of pre-heated granite initially increases and subsequently decreases with the increase of temperature. The temperature of 300℃ has been found to be the threshold for rockburst proneness. Meanwhile, it is found that the elastic strain energy density increases linearly with the total input strain energy density for the pre-heated granites, confirming that the linear energy property of granite has not been altered by temperature. According to this inherent property, the peak elastic strain energy of pre-heated granites can be calculated accurately. On this basis, utilising the residual elastic energy index, the rockburst proneness of pre-heated granite can be determined quantitatively. The obtained results from high to low are: 317.9 k J/m^(3)(300℃), 264.1 k J/m^(3)(100℃), 260.6 k J/m^(3)(20℃), 235.5 k J/m^(3)(500℃), 158.9 k J/m^(3)(700℃), which are consistent with the intensity of actual rockburst for specimens. In addition, the relationship between temperature and energy storage capacity(ESC) of granite was discussed, revealing that high temperature impairs ESC of rocks, which is essential for reducing the rockburst proneness. | 6 | A novel nomogram for prognosis stratification in salvage liver transplantation:a national-wide study with propensity score matching analysis in China显示文摘Background:Salvage liver transplantation(SLT)has been reported to be an efficient treatment option for patients with recurrent hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)after liver resection(LR).However,for recipients who underwent liver transplantation(LT)due to recurrent HCC after LR in China,the selection criteria are not well established.Methods:In this study,data from the China Liver Transplant Registry(CLTR)of 4,244 LT performed from January 2015 to December 2019 were examined,including 3,498 primary liver transplantation(PLT)and 746 SLT recipients.Propensity score matching(PSM)analysis was used to minimize between-group imbalances.The overall survival(OS)and disease-free survival(DFS)between PLT and SLT in recipients fulfilling the Milan or Hangzhou criteria were compared based on the multivariate analysis,nomograms were plotted to further classify the SLT group into low-and high-risk groups.Results:In this study,the 1-,3-and 5-year OS and DFS of SLT recipients fulfilling Milan criteria(OS,P=0.01;DFS,P<0.001)or Hangzhou criteria(OS,P=0.03;DFS,P=0.003)were significantly reduced when compared to that of PLT group after PSM analysis.Independent risk factors,including preoperative transarterial chemoembolization(TACE),alpha fetoprotein(AFP)level,tumor maximum size and tumor total diameter were selected to draw a prognostic nomogram.The low-risk SLT recipients(1-year,95.34%;3-year,84.26%;5-year,77.20%)showed a comparable OS with PLT recipients fulfilling Hangzhou criteria (P=0.107). Conclusions: An optimal nomogram model for prognosis stratification and clinical decision guidance of SLT was established. | 7 | Inside-out assembly of viral antigens for the enhanced vaccination显示文摘Current attempts in vaccine delivery systems concentrate on replicating the natural dissemination of live pathogens,but neglect that pathogens evolve to evade the immune system rather than to provoke it.In the case of enveloped RNA viruses,it is the natural dissemination of nucleocapsid protein(NP,core antigen)and surface antigen that delays NP exposure to immune surveillance.Here,we report a multi-layered aluminum hydroxide-stabilized emulsion(MASE)to dictate the delivery sequence of the antigens.In this manner,the receptor-binding domain(RBD,surface antigen)of the spike protein was trapped inside the nanocavity,while NP was absorbed on the outside of the droplets,enabling the burst release of NP before RBD.Compared with the natural packaging strategy,the inside-out strategy induced potent type I interferon-mediated innate immune responses and triggered an immune-potentiated environment in advance,which subsequently boosted CD40+DC activations and the engagement of the lymph nodes.In both H1N1 influenza and SARS-CoV-2 vaccines,rMASE significantly increased antigen-specific antibody secretion,memory T cell engagement,and Th1-biased immune response,which diminished viral loads after lethal challenge.By simply reversing the delivery sequence of the surface antigen and core antigen,the inside-out strategy may offer major implications for enhanced vaccinations against the enveloped RNA virus. | Fengqiang Cao Sha Peng Yaling An Kun Xu Tianyi Zheng Lianpan Dai Kenji Ogino To Ngai Yufei Xia Guanghui Ma | 2023 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,6: | 0 |
| 8 | Aspirin in hepatocellular carcinoma:Is it an out-of-date or promising treatment?显示文摘Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is one of the most aggressive human malignancies with a dismal survival rate.Few strategies can effectively prevent the occurrence of HCC.Although immunotherapy has significantly improved HCC-related survival in recent years,this systemic therapy is very expensive and lays a heavy burden on most HCC patients.Aspirin,which is currently one of the most widely used medications in analgesic and cardiovascular diseases,is reported to have anti-tumor effects on HCC.Most importantly,long-term administration of low-dose aspirin does not significantly increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding.Owing to its costeffectiveness and wide use,aspirin can be easily applied as an HCC treatment and is affordable for a wide range of patients.Therefore,deeper understanding and more attention are needed to extend the frontline of aspirin's preventive and therapeutic potential into cancer research and management.In this review,we discuss the preventive effect of aspirin on HCC in the context of different etiological factors,including hepatitis B or hepatitis C virus infection,non-alcoholic fatty liver disease,and alcohol-associated liver disease.The therapeutic role of aspirin in resectable or unresectable HCC management is also discussed.Furthermore,the mechanisms underlying the anti-cancer effects of aspirin on HCC are fully reviewed and discussed in the following two aspects:the effect of aspirin on multi-oncogenic signaling pathways in HCC(e.g.,AMPK,Wnt/β-catenin,NF-κB)and aspirinmediated immunometabolic responses in liver diseases.These findings indicate aspirin is a promising agent for populations at risk and HCC patients to prevent or treat HCC. | Xun Qiu Fengqiang Gao Kai Wang Zhensheng Zhang Chuxiao Shao Xiao Xu | 2022 | iLIVER2022,1,1: | 0 |
| 9 | Remarkable mechanochromism and force-induced thermally activated delayed fluorescence enhancement from white-light-emitting organic luminogens with aggregation-induced emission显示文摘The development of organic materials with white-light emission and thermally activated delayed fluorescence(TADF)properties in the solid state remain a challenge.Herein,a series of white-light-emitting organic luminogens have been developed and are found to show aggregation-induced delayed fluorescence(AIDF)characteristics.The AIDF emitters present dual-emission consisted of prompt fluorescence and TADF in the crystalline state.Their white-light emissions can be easily tuned by altering the chemical structure and connecting position of the heterocyclic aromatic substituent.Under the stimuli of mechanical force and solvent vapor,the compounds exhibit remarkable and reversible mechanochromism,in which their emission colors are switchable between white and yellow.Upon grinding,they also display linearly tunable luminescence colors,as well as force-induced TADF enhancement,which may be associated with the more compact molecular packing and the restriction of intramolecular motions.The results from time-resolved emission scanning and theoretical calculation suggest that the dual-emission of the AIDF luminogens likely results from the twisted intramolecular charge transfer transitions of the molecules,and the reversible mechanochromism properties probably stem from the interconversion of the quasi-axial and the quasi-equatorial conformations. | Yitao Zheng Lingqi Zuo Letian Zhang Zihao Huang Shufeng Li Zhan Yang Zhu Mao Suilian Luo Cong Liu Fengqiang Sun Guang Shi Zhenguo Chi Bingjia Xu | 2022 | Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,10: | 0 |
