| 1 | First identification of kdr allele F1534S in VGSC gene and its association with resistance to pyrethroid insecticides in Aedes albopictus populations from Haikou City,Hainan Island,China显示文摘Background:Aedes albopictus is distributed widely in China,as a primary vector of Dengue fever and Chikungunya fever in south of China.Chemical insecticide control is one of the integrated programmes to prevent mosquito-borne diseases.Long-term applications of pyrethroids have resulted in the development of resistance in Ae.albopictus populations in China.However,the susceptibility of Ae.albopictus to pyrethroids in Hainan Island was unclear.Knockdown resistance(kdr),caused by point mutations in the VGSC gene,is one of the mechanisms that confer resistance to DDT and pyrethroids.This study was to investigate the resistance level of Ae.albopictus populations in Haikou City to three pyrethroid insecticides,and elucidate the relationship between the resistant phenotype and kdr mutations.Methods:The Aedes albopictus samples were collected in Xinbu Island(XI),Longtang Town(LT),Shishan Town(ST),Baishamen Park(BP),and Flower Market(FM)from Haikou City,Hainan Island,China.The larval susceptibility to deltamethrin,permethrin and beta-cypermethrin was tested by larval bioassays,and adult susceptibility to deltamethrin and DDT was determined by adult bioassays.The degree of resistance was determined by resistance ratio value(RR50>3)for larvae and by mortality for adult.The kdr alleles at codon 1534 of the VGSC gene were genotyped.The relationship between kdr genotypes and resistant phenotypes was analyzed by Chi-square test.Results:Out of five populations,assessed by larval bioassays,XI was susceptible to deltamethrin and permethrin;LT was susceptible to permethrin and beta-cypermethrin;and ST was susceptible to permithrin.FM and BP both were resistant to all of the three pyrethroids,and FM showed the highest degree of resistance,with RR50 values from 65.17 to 436.36.A total of 493 individuals from the larval bioassays were genotyped for kdr alleles.Five alleles were detected,including two wildtype alleles,TTC(F)(67.04%)and TTT(F)(0.41%),and three mutant alleles,TGC(C)(0.30%),TCC(S)(31.54%)and TTG(L)(0.71%).There was a clear correlation between mutant alleles(or F1534S)and resistant phenotypes(P<0.01).Conclusion:Two novel kdr mutant alleles F1534S and F1534L were detected in the pyrethroid resistant populations of Ae.albopictus in Haikou Hainan,China.For the first time,the mutant F1534S was associated with pyrethroid resistance in Ae.albopictus. | Huiying Chen Kaili Li Xiaohua Wang Xinyan Yang Yi Lin Fang Cai Wenbin Zhong Chunyan Lin Zhongling Lin Yajun Ma | 2016 | Infectious Diseases of Poverty2016,5,1: | 19 |

| 4 | Seasonal Variations of Several Main Water Masses in the Southern Yellow Sea and East China Sea in 2011显示文摘The seasonal variations of several main water masses in the southern Yellow Sea (SYS) and East China Sea (ECS) in 2011 were analyzed using the in-situ data collected on four cruises.There was something special in the observations for the Yellow Sea Warm Current (YSWC) ,the Yellow Sea Cold Water Mass (YSCWM) and the Changjiang Diluted Water (CDW) during that year.The YSWC was confirmed to be a seasonal current and its source was closely associated with the Kuroshio onshore intrusion and the northerly wind.It was also found that the YSCWM in the summer of 2011 occupied a more extensive area in comparison with the climatologically-mean case due to the abnormally powerful wind prevailing in the winter of 2010 and decaying gradually thereafter.Resulting from the reduced Changjiang River discharge,the CDW spreading toward the Cheju Island in the summer of 2011 was weaker than the long-term mean and was confined to flow southward in the other seasons.The other water masses seemed normal without noticeable anomalies in 2011.The Yellow Sea Coastal Current (YSCC) water,driven by the northerly wind,flowed southeastward as a whole except for its northeastward surface layer in summer.The Taiwan Warm Current (TWC) was the strongest in summer and the weakest in winter in its northward movement.The Kuroshio water with an enhanced onshore intrusion in autumn was stable in hydrographic features apart from the seasonal variation of its surface layer. | QUAN Qi MAO Xinyan YANG Xiaodan HU Yingying ZHANG Haiyan JIANG Wensheng | 2013 | Journal of Ocean University of China2013,12,4: | 5 |

| 6 | Comprehensive energy, economic, environmental assessment of a building integrated photovoltaic-thermoelectric system with battery storage for net zero energy building显示文摘To realize the goal of net zero energy building(NZEB),the integration of renewable energy and novel design of buildings is needed.The paths of energy demand reduction and additional energy supply with renewables are separated.In this study,those two are merged into one integration.The concept is based on the combination of photovoltaic,thermoelectric modules,energy storage and control algorithms.Five types of building envelope systems,namely PV+TE(S1),Grid+TE(S2),PV+Grid+TE(S3),PV+Battery+TE(S4)and PV+Grid+Battery+TE(S5)are studied,from aspects of energy,economic and environmental(E3)performance.The new envelope systems can achieve thermal load reduction while providing additional cooling/heating supply,which can promote advance of NZEBs.It is found that there is a typical optimum setting of thermal energy load for each one of them with minimum annual power consumption.Except for the S1 system,the rest can realize negative accumulated power consumption in a year-round operation,which means the thermal load of building envelope could be zero.The uniform annual cost for S1 to S5 under interest rate of 0.04 are 19.78,14.77,23.83,60.53,64.94$/m2,respectively.The S5 system has the highest environmental effect with 3.04 t/m2 reduction of CO_(2) over 30 years of operation. | Yongqiang Luo Nan Cheng Shicong Zhang Zhiyong Tian Guozhi Xu Xinyan Yang Jianhua Fan | 2022 | Building Simulation2022,15,11: | 2 |

| 8 | Adverse associations of sedentary behavior with cancer incidence and all-cause mortality:A prospective cohort study显示文摘Background:Inconsistent results have been reported in developed countries for relationships between sedentary behavior and cancer incidence and mortality,and evidence from the Chinese population is scarce.This study aimed to investigate such relationships in large Chinese population-based prospective cohorts and to explore the joint effect and interaction of sedentary behavior and moderate-to-vigorous physical activity(MVPA)on these relationships.Methods:We included 95,319 Chinese adults without cancer from 3 large cohorts and assessed their sedentary behavior and physical activity with a unified questionnaire.Cancer incidence and mortality were confirmed by interviewing participants or their proxies and checking hospital records and death certificates.Hazard ratios(HRs)and 95%confidence intervals(95%CIs)for cancer and mortality were estimated using Cox proportional hazards regression models.Results:During 559,002 person-years of follow-up,2388 cancer events,1571 cancer deaths,and 4562 all-cause deaths were recorded.Sedentary behavior was associated with increased risk of developing cancer and deaths in a doseresponse manner.The multivariable-adjusted HRs(95%CIs)were the following:HR=1.16,95%CI:1.01-1.33;HR=1.24,95%CI:1.04-1.48;and HR=1.15,95%CI:1.04-1.28 for cancer incidence,cancer mortality,and all-cause mortality,respectively,for those having≥10 h/day of sedentary time compared with those having<6 h/day of sedentary time.Sedentary populations(≥10 h/day)developed cancer or died 4.09 years and 2.79 years earlier,respectively,at the index age of 50 years.Failure to achieve the recommended level of MVPA may further aggravate the adverse associations,with the highest cancer and mortality risks being observed among participants with both≥10 h/day of sedentary time and<150 min/week of MVPA.Limitations of this study include the fact that physical activity information was obtained via questionnaire instead of objective measurement and that there were insufficient incident cases for the analysis of associations between sedentary behavior and site-specific cancers.Conclusion:Sedentary behavior was associated with an increased risk of cancer and all-cause mortality among Chinese adults,especially for those with≥10 h/day of sedentary time.It is necessary to reduce sedentary time,in addition to increasing MVPA levels,for the prevention of cancer and premature death. | Yuan Lin Qiong Liu Fangchao Liu Keyong Huang Jianxin Li Xueli Yang Xinyan Wang Jichun Chen Xiaoqing Liu Jie Cao Chong Shen Ling Yu Fanghong Lu Xianping Wu Liancheng Zhao Ying Li Dongsheng Hu Xiangfeng Lu Jianfeng Huang Dongfeng Gu | 2021 | Journal of Sport and Health Science2021,10,5: | 2 |

| 12 | The Value of c-TCD in the Diagnosis of Migraine and Cryptogenic Stroke Caused by PFO显示文摘Objective:To investigate the value of contrast-enhanced transcranial doppler(c-TCD)in the diagnosis of patent foramen ovale(PFO)of patients with migraine and cryptogenic stroke.Methods:A retrospective analysis of 160 patients undergoing c-TCD monitoring in our hospital from June 2014 to June 2019 was performed.Among them,there were 80 cases of patients with migraine(38 cases with aura and 42 cases without aura)in group A,and 80 cases of patients with cryptogenic stroke in group B.The positive detectable rate of PFO in the two groups were calculated and analyzed.Results:The detectable rate was 50.00%in group A,and 40.00%in group B.There was no statistical significance between the two groups(P>0.05).Among them,the detectable rate of PFO in migraine with aura in group A(62.50%)was higher than that in group B(37.50%).The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);In the two groups of PFO-positive patients,the difference didn’t have statistical significance,comparing the proportion of the inherent type to that of potential type(P>0.05);There was no statistical significance of the difference between the RLS incidence of grade I and that of grade II among two groups of PFO-positive patients(P>0.05);the incidence of RLS in grade III in group B(50.00%)was higher than that in group A(25.00%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:c-TCD can accurately screen migraine and cryptogenic stroke caused by PFO,and grade and classify it as a clinical diagnosis of migraine and cryptogenic caused by PFO.It can also act as a objective reference of estimating the effect of treatment in different diseases and preventing cryptogenic stroke. | Xinyan Yu Jianyun Yang Dan Wu | 2020 | Journal of Clinical and Nursing Research2020,4,2: | 1 |

| 14 | Whole-brain patterns of the presynaptic inputs and axonal projections of BDNF neurons in the paraventricular nucleus显示文摘Brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) plays a crucial role in human obesity. Yet, the neural circuitry supporting the BDNF-mediated control of energy homeostasis remains largely undefined. To map key regions that might provide inputs to or receive inputs from the paraventricular nucleus (PVN) BDNF neurons, a key type of cells in regulating feeding and thermogenesis, we used rabies virus-based transsynaptic labeling and adeno-associated virus based anterograde tracing techniques to reveal their whole-brain distributions. We found that dozens of brain regions provide dense inputs to or receive dense inputs from PVN BDNF neurons, including several known weight control regions and several novel regions that might be functionally important for the BDNF-mediated regulation of energy homeostasis.Interestingly, several regions show very dense reciprocal connections with PVN BDNF neurons, including the lateral septum, the preoptic area, the ventromedial hypothalamic nucleus, the paraventricular thalamic nucleus, the zona incerta, the lateral parabrachial nucleus, the subiculum, the raphe magnus nucleus, and the raphe pallidus nucleus. These strong anatomical connections might be indicative of important functional connections. Studies have confirmed that thetransforms of HSC phenotype follows the changing of the cell lipid. After the activation of HSC, with HSC phenotype changing from fat-storing cells into myofibroblast, the lipid droplets decreased or disappeared gradually, which means HSCs are under the differentiating process of removing adipose, meawhile triglyceride, and the main content of lipid droplets, also obviously reduced. It was ever declined that during the process of HSC re-fating, the activated HSC would turn into quiescent state. | 20 | Mutation-associated transcripts reconstruct the prognostic features of oral tongue squamous cell carcinoma显示文摘Tongue squamous cell carcinoma is highly malignant and has a poor prognosis.In this study,we aimed to combine whole-genome sequencing,whole-genome methylation,and whole-transcriptome analyses to understand the molecular mechanisms of tongue squamous cell carcinoma better.Oral tongue squamous cell carcinoma and adjacent normal tissues from five patients with tongue squamous cell carcinoma were included as five paired samples.After multi-omics sequencing,differentially methylated intervals,methylated loop sites,methylated promoters,and transcripts were screened for variation in all paired samples.Correlations were analyzed to determine biological processes in tongue squamous cell carcinoma.We found five mutated methylation promoters that were significantly associated with mRNA and lncRNA expression levels.Functional annotation of these transcripts revealed their involvement in triggering the mitogen-activated protein kinase cascade,which is associated with cancer progression and the development of drug resistance during treatment.The prognostic signature models constructed based on WDR81 and HNRNPH1 and combined clinical phenotype-gene prognostic signature models showed high predictive efficacy and can be applied to predict patient prognostic risk in clinical settings.We identified biological processes in tongue squamous cell carcinoma that are initiated by mutations in the methylation promoter and are associated with the expression levels of specific mRNAs and lncRNAs.Collectively,changes in transcript levels affect the prognosis of tongue squamous cell carcinoma patients. | Libo Liang Yi Li Binwu Ying Xinyan Huang Shenling Liao Jiajin Yang Ga Liao | 2023 | International Journal of Oral Science2023,15,1: | 1 |
