1Peripheral Lymphocyte Subsets as a Marker of Parkinson's Disease in a Chinese Population显示文摘In this study, we conducted a clinical analysis of lymphocyte subtypes in 268 patients with Parkinson's disease(PD) to assess their clinical impact as a potential marker of advanced PD in Chinese patients. The participants comprised 268 sporadic PD patients and 268 healthy controls. The numbers of natural killer(NK) cells and CD3+, CD3+CD4+, CD3+CD8+, and CD19+ lymphocytes from peripheral blood were determined by immunostaining and flow cytometric analysis and the percentages of these CD+ T cells were calculated. The ratio of regulatory T(Treg)/helper T 17(Th17) lymphocytes from 64 PD patients and 46 controls was determined by flow cytometric analysis.The results showed that the percentage of NK cells was higher in advanced PD patients than in controls(22.92% ±10.08% versus 19.76% ± 10.09%, P = 0.006), while CD3+ T cells are decreased(62.93% ± 9.27% versus65.75% ± 9.13%, P = 0.005). The percentage of CD19+B cells in male patients was lower(P = 0.021) than in female patients, whereas NK cells were increased(P \ 0.0001). The scores on the Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale(UPDRS) and the Non-Motor Symptoms Scale in late-onset PD patients were significantly higher than those in earlyonset patients(P = 0.024 and P = 0.007, respectively). The percentage of CD19+ B cells in patients with UPDRS scores[24 was lower than in those with scores \24(10.17% ±4.19% versus 12.22% ± 5.39%, P = 0.009). In addition, the Treg/Th17 ratio in female patients was higher than that in female controls(13.88 ± 6.32 versus 9.94 ± 4.06, P =0.042). 2Microarray-based analyses of monocytes from Chinese Uygur patients with Parkinson's disease and cognitive impairment显示文摘Parkinson's disease (PD),a complex neurodegenerative disease,is characterized by the loss of dopamine neurons in the substantia nigra of the midbrain.PD patients have varying degrees of cognitive impairment (CI)1 that we term PD-CI.However,the etiology of these changes remains unexplained.We chose three Uygur male patients with PD-CI and three healthy controls of the same of nationality and sex to explore the pathogenesis of Xinjiang Uygur PD-CI using microarray-based gene expression profiling of monocytes. METHODS Subjects The cases were three Uygur men with PD-CI (sporadic) diagnosed by doctors of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University between November 2012 and January 2013.They were 65,72,and 75 years old and were screened using the BrainBank diagnostic criteria (United Kingdom).2 When necessary,diagnosis was confirmed using a head MRI or CT scan.Secondary PD,Parkinson's syndrome,hyperthyroidism and other genetic or neural diseases were excluded.The three healthy individuals in the control group were selected from a survey population about the incidence of PD in Urumqi and were of identical gender and ethnicity as the PD patients,but were not genetically related to the patient group.Their ages were 62,67,and 70 years.These six subjects were used for microarray-based analyzes.We also collected 31 cases of Uygur men with PD-CI (sporadic) and 35 healthy Uygur subjects for qRT-PCR verification of the microarray experiments.To investigate cognitive function,we used Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE).MMSE scores of junior high school level ≤24 are considered to indicate cognitive disorders.This study was conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki and with approval from the Ethics Committee of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University.Written informed consent was obtained from all participants.Luo Qin Xia Huan Yang Xinling 2014Chinese Medical Journal2014,,12:4

4Exploring the N-terminus region: Synthesis, bioactivity and 3D-QSAR of allatostatin analogs as novel insect growth regulators显示文摘Allatostatins(ASTs), a family of insect neuropeptide, can inhibit juvenile hormone(JH) biosynthesis by the corpora allata(CA) in Diploptera punctata, and therefore be regarded as potential leads for the discovery of new insect growth regulators(IGRs). But several shortcomings, such as their sensitivity to peptidases and high cost, impeded their practical application in pest management. In order to discover new IGRs, one AST analog B1 possessing non-peptide group was discovered with high ability to inhibit JH biosynthesis in vitro(IC_(50): 0.09 mmol/L) in our previous studies. In the present work, two series of B1 analogs with different substituents on the N-terminus region were designed and synthesized. The result suggested that benzene showed better activity than other heterocycles, and the para-substitution on the benzene was beneficial for activity. Moreover, analogs with log P value over 2.0 exhibited good activity,which indicated the hydrophobicity is important to the bioactivity. Three dimension quantitative structure-activity relationship(3D-QSAR) studies were performed to highlight the structural requirements of AST analogs, which demonstrated introduction of bulkier substituents on the N-terminus would increase the activity. Analog Ⅱ12(IC_(50): 0.08 mmol/L) exhibited similar inhibitory activity to the lead B1,but its synthetic route was simpler than B1. 5High-quality instant black tea manufactured using fresh tea leaves by two-stage submerged enzymatic processing显示文摘Repeated thermal treatment could impair the flavor of instant black tea(IBT)as the volatile compounds and characteristic constituents dramatically vary during the manufacturing process.Utilization of fresh leaves as raw material in IBT manufacture at low temperature may become an alternative to conventional extraction methods.This study aimed to improve the quality of IBT using fresh tea leaves by a two-stage enzymatic processing.The influence of combined enzymatic oxidation and extraction conditions for maximal extractable flavour(taste and aroma)characteristics from fresh tea leaves were investigated.The changes of aroma profiles and chemical constituents including theaflavins(TFs),thearubigins(TRs),theabrownines(TBs)and TRs/TFs ratio in converted tea brews under two-stage enzyme catalyzed fermentation and extraction conditions were further compared between different treatments,based on which the optimised conditions were determined.During the two-stage enzymatic processing,75 kinds of volatile compounds were identified in all processed samples,and the contents of TFs,TRs,TBs and TRs/TFs ratio could be optimized by adjusting different procedures and parameters.The overall properties of final product were compared with two types of commercial IBT.High quality IBT with desired properties and antioxidant activity can be manufactured using fresh tea leaves by two-stage enzymatic processing approach.Junhao Kong Xiufang Yang Xiaobo Zuo Xiaoqin Su Bing Hu Xinle Liang 2022Food Science and Human Wellness2022,11,3:2
6A Novel Training Sequence Applied to DCS-Based Channel Estimation显示文摘Studies have indicated that the distributed compressed sensing based(DCSbased) channel estimation can decrease the length of the reference signals effectively. In block transmission, a unique word(UW) can be used as a cyclic prefix and reference signal. However, the DCS-based channel estimation requires diversity sequences instead of UW. In this paper, we proposed a novel method that employs a training sequence(TS) whose duration time is slightly longer than the maximum delay spread time. Based on proposed TS, the DCS approach perform perfectly in multipath channel estimation. Meanwhile, a cyclic prefix construct could be formed, which reduces the complexity of the frequency domain equalization(FDE) directly. 7A novel polishing technology for epoxy resin based on 355 nm UV laser显示文摘The electromagnetic shielding film has drawn much attention due to its wide applications in the integrated circuit package,which demands a high surface quality of epoxy resin.However,gaseous Cu will splash and adhere to epoxy resin surface when the Cu layer in PCB receives enough energy in the process of laser cutting,which has a negative effect on the quality of the shielding film.Laser polishing technology can solve this problem and it can effectively improve the quality of epoxy resin surface.The paper studies the mechanism of Cu powder spraying on the compound surface by 355 nm ultraviolet(UV) laser,including the parameters of laser polishing process and the remains of Cu content on compound surface.The results show that minimal Cu content can be realized with a scanning speed of 700 mm/s,a laser frequency of 50 kHz and the distance between laser focus and product top surface of-1.3 mm.This result is important to obtain an epoxy resin surface with high quality.Xinling Meng 2017Journal of Semiconductors2017,38,5:1

13An analysis of structure fitting and bioactivity between sex pheromone of cotton boll-worm, Helicoverpa armigera (Hübner) and its fluorinated analogs显示文摘A study on the structure-activty relationship between (Z)-hexadec-9-enal (Z-9-16:Ald) and its analog was conducted by comparing the structures of the sex pheromone of cotton bollworm, Helicoverpa armigera (Hübner) with its fluorinated analog using computer molecular fitting. It is demonstrated that the structure of analog substituting for hydrogen atom on the terminal carbon atom is similar to Z-9-16:Ald. 14Three-dimensional biogenic C-doped Bi_2MoO_6/In_2O_3-ZnO Z-scheme heterojunctions derived from a layered precursor显示文摘Novel 3D biogenic C-doped Bi_2 MoO_6/In_2O_3-ZnO Z-scheme heterojunctions were synthesized for the first time, using cotton fiber as template. The as-prepared samples showed excellent adsorption and photodegradation performance toward the hazardous antibiotic doxycycline under simulated sunlight irradiation. The morphology, phase composition and in situ carbon doping could be precisely controlled by adjusting processing parameters. The carbon doping in Bi_2 MoO_6/In_2O_3-ZnO was derived from the cotton template, and the carbon content could be varied in the range 0.9–4.4 wt.% via controlling the heat treatment temperature. The sample with Bi_2 MoO_6/In_2O_3-ZnO molar ratio of 1:2 and carbon content of1.1 wt.% exhibited the highest photocatalytic activity toward doxycycline degradation,which was 3.6 and 4.3 times higher than those of pure Bi_2 MoO_6 and Zn In Al-CLDH(calcined layered double hydroxides), respectively. 19Chaperone-mediated Autophagy Regulates Cell Growth by Targeting SMAD3 in Glioma显示文摘Previous studies suggest that the reduction of SMAD3(mothers against decapentaplegic homolog 3)has a great impact on tumor development,but its exact pathological function remains unclear.In this study,we found that the protein level of SMAD3 was greatly reduced in human-grade IV glioblastoma tissues,in which LAMP2A(lysosome-associated membrane protein type 2A)was significantly up-regulated.LAMP2A is a key ratelimiting protein of chaperone-mediated autophagy(CMA),a lysosome pathway of protein degradation that is activated in glioma.We carefully analyzed the amino-acid sequence of SMAD3 and found that it contained a pentapeptide motif biochemically related to KFERQ,which has been proposed to be a targeting sequence for CMA.In vitro,we confirmed that SMAD3 was degraded in either serum-free or KFERQ motif deleted condition,which was regulated by LAMP2A and interacted with HSC70(heat shock cognate 71 kDa protein).Using isolated lysosomes,amino-acid residues 75 and 128 of SMAD3 were found to be of importance for this process,which affected the CMA pathway in which SMAD3 was involved.Similarly,down-regulating SMAD3 or up-regulating LAMP2A in cultured glioma cells enhanced their proliferation and invasion.Taken together,these results suggest that excessive activation of CMA regulates glioma cell growth by promoting the degradation of SMAD3.Therefore,targeting the SMAD3-LAMP2Amediated CMA-lysosome pathway may be a promising approach in anti-cancer therapy.Hanqun Liu Yuxuan Yong Xingjian Li Panghai Ye Kai Tao Guoyou Peng Mingshu Mo Wenyuan Guo Xiang Chen Yangfu Luo Yuwan Lin Jiewen Qiu Ziling Zhang Liuyan Ding Miaomiao Zhou Xinling Yang Lin Lu Qian Yang Pingyi Xu 2022Neuroscience Bulletin2022,38,6:0
