1Real-world outcomes of niraparib treatment in patients with ovarian cancer:amulticenter non-interventional study in China显示文摘Dear Editor,Ovarian cancer remains the deadliest among all gynecological cancers.Although most patients at advanced stage respond to initial treatment,the majority experience recurrence[1].It was estimated that 55,342 new cases and 37,519 deaths from ovarian cancer occurred in China annually[2].Contemporarily,the treatment landscape has changed rapidly since the role of poly(adenosine diphosphate-ribose)polymerase inhibitors(PARPi)in ovarian cancer treatmentwas explored.Based on data from the PRIMA/ENGOT-OV26/GOG-3012[3]and ENGOTOV16/NOVA trials[4],niraparib has been approved globally as maintenance therapy for newly diagnosed and platinum-sensitive recurrent ovarian cancer.The indication of niraparib for salvage treatment was based on the results of the QUADRA(NCT02354586)trial[5].Although niraparib has been tested in prospective randomized clinical trials(RCTs),no multicenter study on its real-world application in China had been conducted.Considering the differences in population,accessibility and affordability of drugs,the results of the real-world settings may differ from those of RCTs.Therefore,we conducted this multicenter,non-interventional study at 8 hospitals.Jin Li Jianhua Yang Huafeng Shou Lin Zhang Xiaohong Huang Xuedong Tang Fei Zheng Fang Liu Hao Wen Huijuan Yang Huaying Wang Ziting Li Xiaojun Chen Xingzhu Ju Xi Cheng Jie Tang Meiqin Zhang Xiaohua Wu 2023Cancer Communications2023,43,6:0

3Performance of surface radiation products of Greenland Ice Sheet using in-situ measurements显示文摘Radiation is the direct energy source of the surface natural environment and the main driving force of climate change.It has increasingly become an important meteorological factor affecting the surface heat exchange and glacier mass balance,especially in the glacier changes of the Greenland Ice Sheet(Gr IS).Due to the harsh climatic conditions of Gr IS and sparse observed data,it has become an important way to obtain radiation data from reanalysis datasets.However,the applicability of these radiation data on Gr IS is uncertain and worth exploring.In this work,we evaluate five reanalysis datasets(the fifth generation of European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts(ERA5),European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts Interim Reanalysis(ERA-Interim),Japanese 55-year Reanalysis(JRA55),National Centers for Environmental Prediction Reanalysis II(NCEP2)and Modern-Era Retrospective analysis for Research and Applications,Version 2(MERRA-2))during 1997-2022 using observations from 26 Program for Monitoring the Greenland Ice Sheet(PROMICE)automatic weather stations(AWSs)and 3 K-transect AWSs on Gr IS.The conclusions are as follows:ERA5 has the best performances in downward shortwave radiation(SWD)as well as downward and upward longwave radiation(LWD and LWU),but the performance is not the best in upward shortwave radiation(SWU).Based on the radiation budget analysis with ERA5 during 1979-2022,the fluctuation of longwave radiation is greater than that of shortwave radiation.The seasonal variation of shortwave radiation is obvious,while that of longwave radiation is small.The increasing trend of longwave radiation may result from global warming,in which ice sheets absorb more solar radiation and the surface heats up significantly,emitting more LWU.CHE Jiahang HUAI Baojuan SUN Weijun DING Minghu WANG Lei ZHANG Qinglin WU Jiake KANG Limin TENG Xinru YANG Xiaohong YAN Jinpei ZHAO Shuhui 2023Advances in Polar Science2023,34,3:0
4Film cooling with using the decomposition of an NH_3 cooling stream as a chemical heat sink显示文摘The inlet temperatures of gas turbines are generally increasing over time,so conventional cooling methods are likely to approach their useful limits.It is therefore essential to investigate novel cooling methods.Based on the theory of heat transfer enhancement,a novel film cooling method for gas turbine blades using a chemical heat sink is proposed.In this method,the endothermic reaction of an NH 3 cooling stream heated by the main gas stream takes place,reducing the convective heat transfer between the mainstream and the blades.Therefore,film cooling effectiveness is improved.To test the feasibility of the proposed method,numerical simulations were conducted,using the classical flat plate with a 30 degree angled cylindrical hole(diameter,D).Film cooling effectiveness at different blowing ratios(M = 0.5,1.0,and 1.5) were computed and compared with the results of conventional cooling methods.The simulation results show that the proposed method can enhance film cooling effectiveness not only in the stream-wise direction,but also in the span-wise direction.The span-averaged film effectiveness is improved in the presence of a chemical heat sink,with the value of X/D(the ratio of downstream distance from the center of the film hole to the diameter of the film hole) increasing downstream of the film hole.The novel film cooling approach showed the best performance at M = 0.5.CHENG KeYong CHEN Wei LIANG ShiQiang GUO YongXian HUAI XiuLan GUI XiaoHong 2012Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,27:0
