| 1 | Total mesopancreas excision for pancreatic head cancer: analysis of 120 cases显示文摘Objective: To evaluate the feasibility and safety of total mesopancreas excision(TMpE) in the treatment of pancreatic head cancer. Methods: The clinical and pathological data of 120 patients with pancreatic head cancer who had undergone TMpE in our center from May 2010 to January 2014 were retrospectively analyzed. Results: The mean operative time was(275.0±50.2) min and the average intra-operative blood loss was(390.0±160.5) mL. Post-operative complications were reported in 45 patients, while no peri-operative death was noted. The specimen margins were measured in three dimensions, and 86 patients(71.6%) achieved R0 resection. | 2 | Study on cellular internalization of poly(vinyldiaminotriazine)-based hydrogen bonding type non-viral transgene vector显示文摘Previously we successfully prepared poly(vinyldiaminotriazine)(PVDT)-based non-viral vectors which complexed plasmid DNA via hydrogen bonding with adenine-thymine base pairs. In this report, surface charges and complex sizes of this system were further examined. The results showed that PVDT-based polymer could cover surface charges of DNA resulting in slightly negative or neutral complexes. It was also found that the complex sizes were governed by two events: the aggregation induced by the insta-bility of neutral particles, and more compact complexes produced by PVDT-based polymers. In the study of cellular uptake, chlorpromazine and filipin Ⅲ were used to inhibit clathrin- and caveolae-me- diated endocytosis, respectively. We found that PVDT-based systems were transported into cells via a non-clathrin, non-caveolae mediated endocytosis. This special process was studied by temperature inhibition and kinetics assays. | 4 | Alternatively spliced BobCAL transcripts alter curd morphotypes in a collection of Chinese cauliflower accessions显示文摘The curd of cauliflower(Brassica oleracea L.var.botrytis)is a modified inflorescence that is consumed as a vegetable.Curd formation is proposed to be due to a mutation in the BobCAULIFLOWER(BobCAL)gene,but the genetic relationship between BobCAL variation and curd morphotypes remains obscure.To address this question,we collected and classified a collection of 78 cauliflower accessions into four subpopulations according to curd surface features:smooth,coarse,granular,and hairy curd morphotypes.Through the cDNA sequencing of BobCAL alleles,we showed that smooth and coarse accessions characterized by inflorescence meristem arrest presented a strong association with the 451T SNP(BobCAL_T),whereas granular and hairy accessions marked with floral organ arrest presented an association with 451G(BobCAL_G).Interestingly,all BobCAL alleles were alternatively spliced,resulting in a total of four alternative splice(AS)variants due to the retention of the fourth and/or seventh introns.Among accessions with BobCAL_G alleles,the total expression of all these AS variants in granular plants was almost equal to that in hairy plants;however,the expression of the individual AS variants encoding intact proteins relative to those encoding truncated proteins differed.Hairy accessions showed relatively high expression of the individual variants encoding intact proteins,whereas granular accessions displayed relatively low expression.In smooth cauliflower,the overexpression of the BobCAL_Ga variant caused an alteration in the curd morphotype from smooth to hairy,concurrent with an increase in the expression levels of downstream floral identity genes.These results reveal that alternative splicing of BobCAL transcripts is involved in the determination of cauliflower curd morphotypes. | Wenguang Cao Biting Cao Xuan Wang Jinjuan Bai Yong-Zhen Xu Jianjun Zhao Xiaorong Li Yuke He Shengwu Hu | 2020 | Horticulture Research2020,7,1: | 2 |

| 6 | Tong-type identity and the mean square of the error term for an extended Selberg class显示文摘In 1956, Tong established an asymptotic formula for the mean square of the error term of the summatory function of the Piltz divisor function d3(n). The aim of this paper is to generalize Tong's method to a class of Dirichlet series L(s) which satisfies a functional equation. Let a(n) be an arithmetical function related to a Dirichlet series L(s), and let E(x) be the error term of ′n xa(n). In this paper, after introducing a class of Diriclet series with a general functional equation(which contains the well-known Selberg class), we establish a Tong-type identity and a Tong-type truncated formula for the error term of the Riesz mean of the coefficients of this Dirichlet series L(s). This kind of Tong-type truncated formula could be used to study the mean square of E(x) under a certain assumption. In other words, we reduce the mean square of E(x) to the problem of finding a suitable constant σ*which is related to the mean square estimate of L(s). | 12 | The haplotype-resolved T2T genome of teinturier cultivar Yan73 reveals the genetic basis of anthocyanin biosynthesis in grapes显示文摘Teinturier grapes are characterized by the typical accumulation of anthocyanins in grape skin,flesh,and vegetative tissues,endowing them with high utility value in red wine blending and nutrient-enriched foods developing.However,due to the lack of genome information,the mechanism involved in regulating teinturier grape coloring has not yet been elucidated and their genetic utilization research is still insufficient.Here,the cultivar‘Yan73’was used for assembling the telomere-to-telomere(T2T)genome of teinturier grapes by combining the High Fidelity(HiFi),Hi-C and ultralong Oxford Nanopore Technologies(ONT)reads.Two haplotype genomes were assembled,at the sizes of 501.68 Mb and 493.38 Mb,respectively.In the haplotype 1 genome,the transposable elements(TEs)contained 32.77%of long terminal repeats(LTRs),while in the haplotype 2 genome,31.53%of LTRs were detected in TEs.Furthermore,obvious inversions were identified in chromosome 18 between the two haplotypes.Transcriptome profiling suggested that the gene expression patterns in‘Cabernet Sauvignon’and‘Yan73’were diverse depending on tissues,developmental stages,and varieties.The transcription program of genes in the anthocyanins biosynthesis pathway between the two cultivars exhibited high similarity in different tissues and developmental stages,whereas the expression levels of numerous genes showed significant differences.Compared with other genes,the expression levels of VvMYBA1 and VvUFGT4 in all samples,VvCHS2 except in young shoots and VvPAL9 except in the E-L23 stage of‘Yan73’were higher than those of‘Cabernet Sauvignon’.Further sequence alignments revealed potential variant gene loci and structure variations of anthocyanins biosynthesis related genes and a 816 bp sequence insertion was found in the promoter of VvMYBA1 of‘Yan73’haplotype 2 genome.The‘Yan73’T2T genome assembly and comparative analysis provided valuable foundations for further revealing the coloring mechanism of teinturier grapes and the genetic improvement of grape coloring traits. | Kekun Zhang Mengrui Du Hongyan Zhang Xiaoqian Zhang Shuo Cao Xu Wang Wenrui Wang Xueqiang Guan Penghui Zhou Jin Li Wenguang Jiang Meiling Tang Qiuling Zheng Muming Cao Yongfeng Zhou Keqin Chen Zhongjie Liu Yulin Fang | 2023 | Horticulture Research2023,10,11: | 0 |
| 13 | An anti-bacterial porous shape memory self-adaptive stiffened polymer for alveolar bone regeneration after tooth extraction显示文摘The regeneration of alveolar bone after tooth extraction is critical for the placement of dental implants.Developing a rigid porous scaffold with defect shape adaptability is of great importance but challenging for alveolar bone regeneration.Herein,we design and synthesize a biocompatible poly(L-glutamic acid)-g-poly(ε-caprolactone)(PLGA-g-PCL)porous shape memory(SM)polymer.The PLGA-g-PCL is then copolymerized with acryloyl chloride grafted poly(ω-pentadecalactone)(PPDLDA)having a higher phase transition temperature than shape recovery temperature to maintain stiffness after shape recovery to resist chewing force.The hybrid pol-ydopamine/silver/hydroxyapatite(PDA/Ag/HA)is coated to the surface of(PLGA-g-PCL)-PPDL scaffold to afford the anti-bacterial activity.The porous SM scaffold can be deformed into a compact size and administered into the socket cavity in a minimally invasive mode,and recover its original shape with a high stiffness at body tem-perature,fitting well in the socket defect.The SM scaffold exhibits robust antibacterial activity against Staphy-lococcus aureus(S.aureus).The porous microstructure and cytocompatibility of PLGA allow for the ingrowth and proliferation of stem cells,thus facilitating osteogenic differentiation.The micro-CT and histological analyses demonstrate that the scaffold boosts efficient new bone regeneration in the socket of rabbit mandibular first premolar.This porous shape memory self-adaptive stiffened polymer opens up a new avenue for alveolar bone regeneration. | Weijun Zhang Meilin Yu Yongqiang Cao Zihan Zhuang Kunxi Zhang Dong Chen Wenguang Liu Jingbo Yin | 2023 | Bioactive Materials2023,,3: | 0 |

| 18 | Isolation and phylogenetic analysis of feline calicivirus strains from various region of China显示文摘Feline calicivirus(FCV)is an important feline pathogen mainly causing upper respiratory tract disease,conjunctivitis,and stomatitis,and it is classifed into genotype I and genotype II.To investigate the prevalence and molecular characteristics of FCV,this study collected 337 cat swab samples from animal hospitals in diferent regions of China from 2019 to 2021.The positive detection rate of FCV was 29.9%(101/337)by RT-PCR.Statistical analysis showed that FCV prevalence was signifcantly associated with living environment(p=0.0004),age(p=0.031)and clinical symptoms(p=0.00),but not with sex(p=0.092)and breed(p=0.171).The 26 strains of FCV were isolated using F81 cells.Phylogenetic analysis showed that 10 isolates belonged to genotype I,and 16 isolates belonged to genotype II.These 26 isolates were highly genetically diverse,of which HB7 isolate had three same virulence-related amino acid loci with VSD strains.Potential loci distinguishing diferent genotypes were identifed from 26 isolates,suggesting the genetic relationship between diferent genotypes.In addition,selection pressure analysis based on capsid protein of 26 isolates revealed that the protein is under diversifying selection.This study reveals the genetic diversity of FCV and provides a reference for the screening of vaccine candidate strains and the development of vaccines with better cross-protection efects. | Longlong Cao Qiuyan Li Kaituo Shi Liting Wei Hehao Ouyang Zijun Ye Wenguang Du Jiawen Ye Xiaochen Hui Jiakang Li Shengbo Cao Dengyuan Zhou | 2022 | Animal Diseases2022,2,3: | 0 |
