3Chemical compound cinobufotalin potently induces FOXO1-stimulated cisplatin sensitivity by antagonizing its binding partner MYH9显示文摘In this study,we present novel molecular mechanisms by which FOXO1 functions as a tumor suppressor to prevent the pathogenesis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC).First,we observed that FOXO1 not only controlled tumor stemness and metastasis,but also sensitized NPC cells to cisplatin(DDP)in vitro and in vivo.Mechanistic studies demonstrated that FOXO1-induced miR-200b expression through the GSK3β/β-catenin/TCF4 network-mediated stimulation of ZEB1,which reduced tumor stemness and the epithelial–mesenchymal transition(EMT)signal.Furthermore,we observed FOXO1 interaction with MYH9 and suppression of MYH9 expression by modulating the PI3K/AKT/c-Myc/P53/miR-133a-3p pathway.Decreased MYH9 expression not only reduced its interactions with GSK3β,but also attenuated TRAF6 expression,which then decreased the ubiquitin-mediated degradation of GSK3βprotein.Increased GSK3βexpression stimulated theβ-catenin/TCF4/ZEB1/miR-200b network,which increased the downstream tumor stemness and EMT signals.Subsequently,we observed that chemically synthesized cinobufotalin(CB)strongly increased FOXO1-induced DDP chemosensitivity by reducing MYH9 expression,and the reduction in MYH9 modulated GSK3β/β-catenin and its downstream tumor stemness and EMT signal in NPC.In clinical samples,the combination of low FOXO1 expression and high MYH9 expression indicated the worst overall survival rates.Our studies demonstrated that CB potently induced FOXO1-mediated DDP sensitivity by antagonizing its binding partner MYH9 to modulate tumor stemness in NPC.YongHao Li Xiong Liu Xian Lin Menyang Zhao Yanyi Xiao Chen Liu Zixi Liang Zelong Lin Renhui Yi Zibo Tang Jiahao Liu Xin Li Qingping Jiang Libo Li Yinyin Xie Zhen Liu Weiyi Fang 2019Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2019,4,1:6

6Microstructure and properties of novel Al-Ce-Sc,Al-Ce-Y,Al-Ce-Zr and Al-Ce-Sc-Y alloy conductors processed by die casting,hot extrusion and cold drawing显示文摘In order to overcome the trade-off between the strength and electrical conductivity of aluminum alloy conductors,the new Al-Ce-Sc,Al-Ce-Y,Al-Ce-Zr and Al-Ce-Sc-Y alloys were prepared by die casting,high temperature homogenization treatment,hot extrusion and cold drawing.Adding Sc and Y eliminated the dendrite segregation of the as-cast Al-0.2 Ce alloy and promoted the formation of equiaxed grains with the average grain size of 142.5μm.The Al-0.2 Ce-0.2 Sc-0.1 Y alloy inherited the great tensile properties of Al-0.2 Ce-0.2 Sc alloy and the high electrical conductivity of Al-0.2 Ce-0.1 Y alloy simultaneously.After cold drawing and annealing at 200℃for 5 h,the ultimate tensile strength of Al-0.2 Ce-0.2 Sc-0.1 Y alloy reached 200 MPa and 198 MPa,the elongation reached 6.8%and 8.5%,and the electrical conductivity reached 61.01%and 61.77%,respectively.The main second phase of Al-0.2 Ce-0.2 Sc-0.1 Y alloy after hot extrusion were Al_(13)Fe_3 Ce containing a few Y and Si atoms.The larger size and proportion of the second phase greatly reduced the concentration of solute Fe and Si atoms and the addition of Y significantly decreased the density of defects after cold drawing compared to Al-0.2 Ce-0.2 Sc alloy,which improved electrical conductivity of the alloy.Furthermore,the dispersed and coherent nano-size Al_3 Sc precipitions of Al-0.2 Ce-0.2 Sc-0.1 Y alloy greatly improved strength,elongation and heat resistance.Compared with Al-0.2 Ce-0.2 Sc alloy,the lower density of dislocation,stacking fault and subgrain boundary and the larger size of Al_3 Sc precipitions with enrichment of Y atoms enable the Al-0.2 Ce-0.2 Sc-0.1 Y alloy to maintain high strength,elongation and electrical conductivity after annealing.Weiyi Wang Qinglin Pan Geng Lin Xiaoping Wang Yuqiao Sun Xiangdong Wang Ji Ye Yuanwei Sun Yi Yu Fuqing Jiang Jun Li Yaru Liu 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,58,23:4

8Alzheimer's disease treated with combined therapy based on nourishing marrow and reinforcing Qi显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To study the efficacy and safety of combined Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) therapy based on nourishing marrow to improve intellect and reinforcing Qi to activate bloodon mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease(AD).METHODS:Sixty-six patients with AD,whoseMini-Mental State Examination(MMSE) score were from 10-24,were randomized equally into an intervention group and a control group.The control group was given Aricept(5 mg,once daily).The intervention group was further divided into Yang-Qi deficiency(n = 18) and of Yin-Qi deficiency(n = 15)subgroups.Patients in the Yang-Qi deficiency group were intravenously administered Shenfu injection,60 mL,and deproteinized calf blood injection(DCBl),1.2 g,once daily.The Yin-Qi deficiency group was given Shenmai injection,60 mL,and DCBl,1.2 g,once daily.Each course lasted 21 days.RESULTS:Compared with the control group and with pre-treatment in the same group,MMSE,clinical dementia rating,and activities of daily living scale scores in the intervention group were significantly improved(all P<0.05).These metrics mildly improved in the control group compared with before treatment(P>0.05).No adverse effects were observed in any group during treatment.CONCLUSION:We found that combined TCM therapy is effective and safe for managing mild to moderate AD.Chen Songlin Yao Xiaoli Liang Yinying Mei Weiyi Liu Xiaoyun Zhang Changran 2015Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2015,35,3:4
9Simulation of Centennial-Scale Drought Events over Eastern China during the Past 1500 Years显示文摘The characteristics and causes of centennial-scale drought events over eastern China during the past 1500 years were explored based on simulations of the Community Earth System Model(CESM). The results show that centennial-scale drought events over eastern China occurred during the periods of 622–735(Drought period 1, D1) and 1420–1516(Drought period 2,D2) over the past 1500 years, which is comparable with climate proxy data. In D1, the drought center occurred in northern China and the Yangtze River valley; however, in southern China, precipitation was much more than usual. In D2, decreased precipitation was found across almost the whole region of eastern China. The direct cause of these two drought events was the weakened East Asian summer monsoon, and the specific process was closely linked to the air–sea interaction of the Indo-Pacific Ocean. In D1, regions of maximum cooling were observed over the western Pacific, which may have led to anomalous subsidence, weakening the Walker circulation, and reducing the northward transport of water vapor. Additionally, upward motion occurred over southern China, strengthening convection and increasing precipitation. In D2, owing to the decrease in the SST, subsidence dominated the North Indian Ocean, blocking the low-level cross-equatorial flow, enhancing the tropical westerly anomalies, and reducing the northward transport of moisture. Additionally, descending motion appeared in eastern China, subsequently decreasing the precipitation over the whole region of eastern China. The anomalous cooling of the Indo-Pacific Ocean SST may have been caused by the persistently low solar irradiation in D1; whereas, in D2,this characteristic may have been influenced not only by persistently low solar irradiation, but frequent volcanic eruptions too.Weiyi SUN Jian LIU Zhiyuan WANG 2017Journal of Meteorological Research2017,31,1:4

11Separation process of butanol-butyl acetate-methyl isobutyl ketone system by the analysis to residual curve and the double effect pressure-swing distillation显示文摘The separation of ternary mixture of butanol, butyl acetate, and methyl isobutyl ketone(MIBK) was initially analyzed by the residual curve. In this process, MIBK was chosen as the azeotropic agent during the first step of separation. The optimum mass ratio of extra MIBK was 1.6 in the modified feed stream according to the residual curve. Thus on this condition the top product was butanol-MIBK azeotrope while the bottom product was butyl acetate in the preliminary separation of the mixture. Then the butanol and MIBK azeotrope was separated by the double effect pressureswing distillation with the low pressure column performing at 30 kPa and the atmospheric pressure column at 101 kPa. The optimal operating conditions were then obtained by using Aspen Plus to simulate and optimize the process. The results showed that the mass purities of butanol, butyl acetate, and MIBK were all more than 99% and reached the design requirements. 12A review on analytical methods for pharmaceutical and personal care products and their transformation products显示文摘Pharmaceutical and personal care products(PPCPs)and corresponding transformation products have caused widespread concern due to their persistent emissions and potential toxicity.They have wide octanol-water partition coefficients(K_(ow))and different ionization constants(pK_(a))resulting in a poor analysis accuracy and efficiency.A suitable analytical method is the first prerequisite for further research on their environmental behavior to prioritize the substances.This study reviewed a full-scale analytical protocol for environmental samples in the recent ten years:from sampling to instrumental methods.Passive sampling techniques were compared and recommended for long-term continuous and scientific observation.A quick and effective sample extraction and clean-up method are highly required.Chromatographic methods coupled to mass spectrometry for determining PPCPs with a wide range of logK_(ow)(-7.53 to 10.80)were summed up.High-resolution mass spectrometry was confirmed to be a promising strategy for screening unknown transformation products,which would provide a nanogram level of detection limits and more accurate mass resolution.Screening strategies and mass change principles were summarized in detail.The recovery rate was important in multiple contaminants analysis identification and factors affecting the recovery rate of PPCPs were also discussed in this review,including sample matrix,target compounds characteristics,extraction method and solid-phase adsorbent.This review provides useful information for the selection of appropriate analytical methods and future development directions.Yuan Meng Weiyi Liu Xiaohui Liu Jinlan Zhang Meng Peng Tingting Zhang 2021Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,3:3

14Boosted photoreduction of diluted CO_(2) through oxygen vacancy engineering in NiO nanoplatelets显示文摘Converting carbon dioxide(CO_(2))to diverse value-added products through photocatalysis can validly alleviate the critical issues of greenhouse effect and energy shortages simultaneously.In particular,based on practical considerations,exploring novel catalysts to achieve efficient photoreduction of diluted CO_(2) is necessary and urgent.However,this process is extremely challenging owing to the disturbance of competitive adsorption at low CO_(2) concentration.Herein,we delicately synthesize oxygen vacancy-laden NiO nanoplatelets(r-NiO)via calcination under Ar protection to reduce diluted CO_(2) through visible light irradiation(>400 nm)assisted by a Ru-based photosensitizer.Benefitting from the strongly CO_(2) adsorption energy of oxygen vacancies,which was confirmed by density functional calculations,the r-NiO catalysts exhibit higher activity and selectivity(6.28×10^(3)µmol·h^(−1)·g^(−1);82.11%)for diluted CO_(2)-to-CO conversion than that of the normal NiO(3.94×10^(3)µmol·h^(−1)·g^(−1);65.26%).Besides,the presence of oxygen vacancies can also promote the separation of electron-hole pairs.Our research demonstrates that oxygen vacancies could act as promising candidates for photocatalytic CO_(2) reduction,offering fundamental guidance for the actual photoreduction of diluted CO_(2) in the future.Weiyi Chen Xueming Liu Bin Han Shujie Liang Hong Deng Zhang Lin 2021Nano Research2021,14,3:2
15Asymmetries of Positive Feedback Trading in Individual Stocks:Evidences from China显示文摘The paper investigates the positive feedback trading phenomenon of individual stocks in China’s stock market.Heterogeneous regression models and a non-parametric Sentana-Wadhwani model are developed and applied to prove the existence of rise-favor asymmetric feedback trading.This result is consistent with the reality of China’s stock market,that is,the herding behavior of irrational retail investors has a significant influence on the market.However,the result is in contrast with the stylized findings using market indices.Further empirical research shows that this distinction could be explained by the average effect of indices.The asymmetries of positive feedback trading caused by heterogeneous feedback trading and the uneven distributed retail trading in individual stocks,are covered by the weighted average effect in indices.Therefore,the indices exhibit a different asymmetric pattern from that of individual stocks.Die Wan Weiyi Liu Junbo Wang Xiaoguang Yang 2016Journal of Management Science and Engineering2016,1,1:2
16Enhancement of radiosensitivity of lung adenocarcinoma using a decoction from the Fuzhengzengxiao formula显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To study the effects of a decoction of Fuzhengzengxiao formula on lung adenocarcinoma regarding the inflammatory protein S100A9 known to enhance cancer cell sensitivity.METHODS: A nude mouse model of human lung adenocarcinoma was established. The mice were randomly divided into four groups using the random number table method: Group Ⅰ, control;Group Ⅱ, treatment with a decoction of the Fuzhengzengxiao formula alone; Group Ⅲ, treatment with radiotherapy alone; and Group Ⅳ, treatment with radiotherapy plus a decoction of Fuzhengzengxiao formula. When the tumor body was 1 cm^3 in diameter, the tumor bearing mice in GroupsⅢ and Ⅳ were irradiated at a single dose of 10 Gy and the tumor inhibition rate was evaluated.The expression of S100A9 was determined using Western blotting and q-PCR(Real-time Quantitative PCR Detecting System). The sensitivity of cells containing RNAi S100A9 to radiotherapy was evaluated using the Click multiple target model,and the cell cycle was analyzed using flow cytometry.RESULTS: Relative to the control group,the expression of S100A9 in the tumors in each treatment group was decreased,especially in Group Ⅳ.
