Main controlling factors and enrichment area evaluation of shale gas of the Lower Paleozoic marine strata in south China显示文摘The Lower Paleozoic shale in south China has a very high maturity and experienced strong tectonic deformation. This character is quite different from the North America shale and has inhibited the shale gas evaluation and exploration in this area. The present paper reports a comprehensive investigation of maturity, reservoir properties, fluid pressure, gas content, preservation conditions, and other relevant aspects of the Lower Paleozoic shale from the Sichuan Basin and its surrounding areas. It is found that within the main maturity range(2.5 %3.5 %) is considered a high risk for shale gas exploration. Taking the southern area of the Sichuan Basin and the southeastern area of Chongqing as examples of uplifted/folded and faulted/folded areas, respectively, geological models of shale gas content and loss were proposed. For the uplifted/folded area with a simple tectonic deformation, the shale system(with a depth >2000 m) has largely retained overpressure during uplifting without a great loss of gas, and an industrial shale gas potential is generally possible. However, for the faulted/folded area with a strong tectonic deformation, the sealing condition of the shalesystem was usually destroyed to a certain degree with a great loss of free gas, which decreased the pressure coefficient and resulted in a low production capacity. It is predicted that the deeply buried shale(>3000 m) has a greater gas potential and will become the focus for further exploration and development in most of the south China region(outside the Sichuan Basin). | Xian-Ming Xiao Qiang Wei Hai-Feng Gai Teng-Fei Li Mao-Lin Wang Lei Pan Ji Chen Hui Tian | 2015 | Petroleum Science2015,12,4: | 27

S-1 plus gemcitabine chemotherapy followed by concurrent radiotherapy and maintenance therapy with S-1 for unresectable pancreatic cancer显示文摘AIM:To investigate the feasibility and efficacy of the combination of S-1 with gemcitabine followed by oral S-1 with concurrent radiotherapy(intensity modulated radiotherapy,IMRT) and maintenance therapy with S-1 for locally advanced pancreatic cancer.METHODS:Subjects selected in the study were patients who had unresectable and locally advanced pancreatic cancer without distant metastases, adequate organ and marrow functions,an Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group performance status of 0-1 and no prior anticancer therapy. Initially the subjects received two cycles of chemotherapy, oral administration of S-1 40 mg/m2 twice daily from day 1 to day 14 of a 21-d cycle, with 30-min intravenous infusions of gemcitabine 1000 mg/m2 on day 1 and day 8. Two weeks after the completion of chemotherapy,S-1 was administered orally with concurrent IMRT. Oral S-1 was administered at a dose of 80 mg/m2 per day twice daily from day 1 to day 14 and from day 22 to day 35. Radiation was concurrently delivered at a dose of 50.4 Gy(1.8 Gy/d,5 times per week,28 fractions). One month after the completion of chemotherapy and radiotherapy,S-1 was administered orally at a dose of 80 mg/m2 per day twice daily for 14 d,followed by a 14-d rest period. This cycle was repeated as maintenance therapy, until unacceptable toxicity occurred or the disease worsened. Thirty-two patients were involved in this study. The median followup was 15.6 mo(range:8.6-32.3 mo).RESULTS:Thirty-two patients completed the scheduled course of chemotherapy, while 30 patients(93.8%) received chemoradiotherapy with two patients ceasing to continue with radiotherapy. The major toxic effects were nausea and leukopenia. There was no grade 4 toxicity or treatment-related death. According to the Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors criteria, the objective tumor response was partial response in 17(53.1%) patients, stable disease in 9(28.1%),and progressive disease in 6(18.8%). The median overall survival and median progression-free survival were 15.2 mo and 9.3 mo,respectively. The survival rates at 1 year and 2 years were 75% and 34.4%,respectively.CONCLUSION:The combination of S-1 with gemcitabine followed by oral S-1 with IMRT and maintenance therapy with S-1 alone in patients with locally advanced pancreatic cancer may be considered a well-tolerated,promising treatment regimen. | Qing-Hua Ke Shi-Qiong Zhou Ji-Yuan Yang Wei Du Gai Liang Yong Lei Fei Luo | 2014 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2014,20,38: | 8
Untreated Prior Pulmonary Tuberculosis Adversely Affects Pregnancy Outcomes in Infertile Women Undergoing in vitro Fertilization and Embryo Transfer: A Large Retrospective Cohort Study显示文摘Objective Prior pulmonary tuberculosis(PTB) on chest X-ray(CXR) was commonly found in infertile patients receiving examinations before in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer(IVF-ET). It was unclear whether untreated PTB would affect pregnancy outcomes after IVF-ET.Method We conducted a retrospective cohort study of 14,254 infertile patients who had received IVFET at Peking University Third Hospital in 2017. Prior PTB was defined as the presence of signs suggestive of old or inactive PTB on CXR, with or without a clinical TB history. Patients who had prior PTB on CXR but had not received a clinical diagnosis and anti-TB therapy were included for analysis. Live birth, clinical pregnancy, and miscarriage rates were compared between the untreated PTB and non-PTB groups. Results The untreated PTB group had significantly lower clinical pregnancy(31.7% vs. 38.1%) and live birth(23.8% vs. 30.6%) rates than the non-PTB group(both P < 0.001). Multivariate analysis revealed that untreated PTB was a risk factor for decreased live birth rate [odds ratio(OR), 0.80;95% confidence interval(CI), 0.66–0.98;P = 0.028] in all patients and for increased miscarriage(OR, 4.19;95% CI,1.69–10.39;P = 0.002) and decreased live birth(OR, 0.45;95% CI, 0.24–0.83;P = 0.011) rates in patients with unexplained infertility. Conclusions Untreated PTB was associated with adverse pregnancy outcomes after IVF-ET, especially in patients with unexplained infertility, highlighting the clinical significance of PTB in this specific patient population. | GAI Xiao Yan CHI Hong Bin ZENG Lin CAO Wen Li CHEN Li Xue ZHANG Chen LU Ming NING Lan Ding CHANG Chun ZHANG Wei Xia LIU Ping LI Rong SUN Yong Chang QIAO Jie | 2021 | Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2021,34,2: | 6
Inhibition of human gastric carcinoma cell growth by atofluding derivative N_3-o-toluyl-fluorouracil显示文摘AIM: To evaluate the growth inhibition efficacy of atofluding derivative N3-o -toluyl-fluorouracil (TFU) on human gastric carcinoma cell lines SGC-7901 and MKN-45. METHODS: Cell growth inhibition by TFU was measured by MTT and clonogenic assays without or with liver microsomal enzymes. Xenografts of cancer cells in nude mice were employed to study the anti-proliferative effects of TFU in vivo. RESULTS: TFU inhibited the growth of SGC-7901 and MKN-45 cells. However, the inhibitory effects of TFU on cell growth were not significant. The inhibition rates were enhanced in the presence of liver microsomal enzymes, ranging 4.73%-48.57% in SGC-7901 cells and 9.0%-62.02% in MKN-45 cells. In vivo, TFU delayed the growth of SGC-7901 and MKN-45 cells in nude mice. The inhibition rates were 40.49%, 63.24%, and 75.98% in SGC-7901 cells and 40.76%, 61.41%, and 82.07% in MKN-45 cells when the oral doses were 25, 50, and 100 mg/kg, respectively. TFU treatment was generally welltolerated by mice with less than 20% reduction in body weight. CONCLUSION: TFU inhibits the growth of human gastric carcinoma cells. The inhibition rates are increased in the presence of liver microsomal enzymes. The efficacy of TFU may be associated with the sustaining release of 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) mediated by the enzymes. | Jian Liu Wen-Fang Xu Shu-Xiang Cui Yong Zhou Yun-Xia Yuan Ming-Hui Chen Ruo-Han Wang Ruo-Yan Gai Masatoshi Makuuchi Wei Tang Xian-Jun Qu | 2006 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2006,12,42: | 5
Cloning and Characterization of a Novel Gene GmMF1 in Soybean (Glycine max L. Merr.)显示文摘Cytoplasmic male sterility plays an important role in utilization of crop heterosis. Screening of soybean for novel genes related to male sterility in soybean could provide a basis for studying the molecular mechanism of male sterility in plants. In this study, gene differential expressions between the cytoplasmic male-sterile line NJCMS1A and its maintainer line NJCMS1B in soybean were analyzed using cDNA-AFLP. A differentially expressed fragment, GmMF-T4A15, was isolated from large flower buds of NJCMS1B. By searching the soybean genomic library and PCR amplification, the cDNA full-length sequence of 1 311 bp was obtained and named GmMF1. The expression characteristics of GmMF1 were studied by semiquantitative real-time PCR and real-time quantitative PCR. The results showed that GmMF1 was expressed highly in flower buds of NJCMS1B. The deduced protein contains 436 amino acids and shows high similarity to members of the DUF620 protein family with unknown functions in other plant species. It is predicted that the protein encoded by GmMF1 is localized in the nucleus. | JIANG Wei YANG Shou-ping YU De-yue GAI Jun-yi | 2011 | Agricultural Sciences in China2011,10,12: | 4

A New Family of Galeaspids(Jawless Stem-Gnathostomata) from the Early Silurian of Chongqing, Southwestern China显示文摘A new genus and species of agnathan Eugaleaspidiformes(Galeaspida), Yongdongaspis littoralis gen. et sp. nov., is described from the Llandovery(lower Silurian) Huixingshao Formation at Yongdong Town, Xiushan County, Chongqing, southwestern China. This new Telychian taxon morphologically exhibits some transitional states between Sinogaleaspidae and a cluster of higher eugaleaspidiforms containing Tridensaspidae, Eugaleaspidae, Yunnanogaleaspis, and Nochelaspis, which we term here as the ’eugaleaspid cluster’. Phylogenetic analysis of an extended character matrix of Galeaspida reveals Yongdongaspis, on which Yongdongaspidae fam. nov. is erected, as the sister taxon of this ’eugaleaspid cluster’, supported by two synapomorphies, the presence of one median transverse canal, and two lateral transverse canals leaving from the infraorbital canal. As the first fish described from the Llandovery Huixingshao Formation in Chongqing, Yongdongaspis provides new fossil evidence for the subdivision and correlation of the Upper Red Beds in South China. | CHEN Yang GAI Zhikun LI Qiang WANG Jianhua PENG Lijian WEI Guangbiao ZHU Min | 2022 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2022,96,2: | 2
Effect of Combined Oral Contraceptive Use on Bone Mineral Density in Adolescent Females显示文摘Objective To compare adolescents'bone mineral density (BMD) between users of combined oral contraceptive (Marvelon, desogestrel/ethinylestradiol) and nonhormonal control subjects. Methods The study included 127 women who aged between 16 and 18 years using Marvelon for 24 months and 115 women who aged between 16 and 18 years using nonhormonal contraception as control subjects. BMD of the lumbar spine and femoral neck were obtained using dual energy X-ray absorptiometry. Results After 24 months of Marvelon use, as compared with baseline, the mean BMD in lumbar spine and femoral neck were decreased by 0.30% and 0.61%, respectively. While in the nonusers group, the mean BMD were increased by 1.88% and 1.10%, respectively. Lumbar spine and femoral neck BMD in women who used Marvelon were not significantly different compared with the subjects who used nonhormonal contraception (P>0.05). Conclusion Two years of Marvelon use had no significant effect on BMD, but it remains unknown whether longer than 2 years of use has a significant adverse effect on the attainment of peak bone mass. | Ling GAI Xia LIU Ping GAI Ai-dong ZHANG Ping JIANG Wei ZHANG | 2012 | Journal of Reproduction and Contraception2012,23,3: | 2

A pilot study on diagnosis of coronary artery disease using computed tomography first-pass myocardial perfusion imaging at rest显示文摘Background:Although computed tomography coronary angiography (CTCA) can identify coronary stenosis, little data exists on the ability of multislice computed tomography (MSCT) to detect myocardial perfusion defects at rest. Methods:In 33 patients with diagnosed or suspected coronary artery disease (CAD),CTCA using retrospective electrocardiography (ECG) gating at rest and invasive coronary angiography (ICA) was performed. The 2D myocardial images were reconstructed in diastolic and systolic phases using the same raw data for CTCA.CT values of the myocardium were used as an estimate of myocardial enhancement, which were shown by color mapping.Myocardial ischemia was defined as a pattern of transient endocardial hypo-enhancement at systole and normal enhancement at diastole. The results of ICA were taken as the reference standard. Results:When a diameter reduction of more than 50% in ICA was used as diagnostic criteria of CAD,the sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value (PPV),and negative predictive value (NPV) of CT first-pass myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI) at rest were 0.85,0.67,0.92,and 0.50 per patient, respectively, and 0.58,0.93,0.85,and 0.76 per vessel, respectively. Conclusions:CT first-pass MPI at rest could detect CAD patients, which could become a practical and convenient way to detect ischemia, consequently offering the ability for MSCT to act as a 'one stop shop' for the diagnosis of CAD. | Qi WANG Jing QIN Lu-yue GAI Yun-dai CHEN Wei DONG Zhi-wei GUAN Zhi-guo WANG Zhi-jun SUN Jia-he TIAN | 2011 | Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2011,12,6: | 1
