1A fundamental theorem for eco-environmental surface modelling and its applications显示文摘We propose a fundamental theorem for eco-environmental surface modelling(FTEEM) in order to apply it into the fields of ecology and environmental science more easily after the fundamental theorem for Earth’s surface system modeling(FTESM). The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei(BTH) region is taken as a case area to conduct empirical studies of algorithms for spatial upscaling, spatial downscaling, spatial interpolation, data fusion and model-data assimilation, which are based on high accuracy surface modelling(HASM), corresponding with corollaries of FTEEM. The case studies demonstrate how eco-environmental surface modelling is substantially improved when both extrinsic and intrinsic information are used along with an appropriate method of HASM. Compared with classic algorithms, the HASM-based algorithm for spatial upscaling reduced the root-meansquare error of the BTH elevation surface by 9 m. The HASM-based algorithm for spatial downscaling reduced the relative error of future scenarios of annual mean temperature by 16%. The HASM-based algorithm for spatial interpolation reduced the relative error of change trend of annual mean precipitation by 0.2%. The HASM-based algorithm for data fusion reduced the relative error of change trend of annual mean temperature by 70%. The HASM-based algorithm for model-data assimilation reduced the relative error of carbon stocks by 40%. 2Influence of an emulsifier on the pressure desensitization of emulsion explosives显示文摘The desensitization degree of emulsion explosives (EE) was calculated with the peak pressure of explosion shock wavestested in water. To an explosive, the less the desensitization degree, the better the compression resistance, so the compression resistanceof an explosive can be compared and analyzed quantificationally with the desensitization degree. The influence of an emulsifier on thepressure desensitization of EE was studied, including the content and category of emulsifiers. Three kinds of emulsifiers (Span-80,compound emulsifier, and T-152) were used in the tests. The experimental results show that both the content and category of emulsifi-ers make a great effect on the pressure desensitization of EE. The desensitization degree of EE reduces with the emulsifier content beingincreased, but there is an optimal content of an emulsifier for the compression resistance of EE. While the content of Span-80 reaches4wt%, the desensitization degree of EE becomes a minimal value, and augments somewhat if the emulsifier content is increased more.That is to say, the compression resistance of EE becomes the highest while the content of Span-80 is 4wt%, and the compression resis-tance will decline if the content of Span-80 is increased more. 3Structures of convection and turbulent kinetic energy in boundary layer over the southeastern edge of the Tibetan Plateau显示文摘Based on a comprehensive analysis on Sonic Anemometer and gradient data, wind profile radar(WPR) and GPS sounding data of March–August 2008 from the boundary layer(BL) tower observation system at Dali on the southeastern edge of Tibetan Plateau(TP), it is found that the strengths of turbulent kinetic energy(TKE), buoyancy term and shear term depend on vegetation cover in association with local stability and thermodynamic condition. Strong kinetic turbulence appears when near surface layer in neutral condition with the large contribution from shear term. In an unstable condition within near surface layer, the atmospheric turbulent motion is mainly thermal turbulence, as buoyancy term is obviously larger than shear term. Under a stable condition the intermittent turbulence is accompanied by weak shear and buoyancy term, and TKE is significantly less than neutral or instable condition. The study also presents that the buoyancy term contribution at Nyingchi station in the southern slopes of the TP large topography in spring is significantly larger than that at Dali over the southeastern TP edge, reflecting that the thermal turbulence makes an important contribution to convection activity in the southern slopes of TP. Dali station is located in complex terrain with mountain and valley leading to larger kinetic turbulence. From the perspective of interaction of turbulence-convection in different scales, the study revealed that the height of convective boundary layer(CBL) could reach up to 1500–2000 m. TKE, shear term, and buoyancy term in near surface layer have the notable correlations with BL height and local vertical motion. The daytime thermodynamic turbulence effect of heat flux and buoyancy term has an obvious impact on the height of CBL, whereas mechanical turbulence only exerts a less impact. Mechanical turbulence in near surface layer has a significant impact on vertical motion especially in the forenoon with impacting height of 2500–3000 m. The peaks in diurnal variations of shear term and buoyancy term correspond to the high instable periods, especially in summer forenoon. 4The Upstream "Strong Signals" of the Water Vapor Transport over the Tibetan Plateau during a Heavy Rainfall Event in the Yangtze River Basin显示文摘A heavy rainfall event that occurred over the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River Basin(YRB) during July11–13 2000 is explored in this study. The potential/stream function is used to analyze the upstream 'strong signals' of the water vapor transport in the Tibetan Plateau(TP). The studied time period covers from 2000 LST 5 July to 2000 LST 15 July(temporal resolution: 6 hours). By analyzing the three-dimensional structure of the water vapor flux, vorticity and divergence prior to and during the heavy rainfall event, the upstream 'strong signals' related to this heavy rainfall event are revealed. A strong correlation exists between the heavy rainfall event in the YRB and the convective clouds over the TP. The 'convergence zone' of the water vapor transport is also identified, based on correlation analysis of the water vapor flux two days and one day prior to, and on the day of, the heavy rainfall. And this 'convergence zone' coincides with the migration of the maximum rainfall over the YRB. This specific coupled structure actually plays a key role in generating heavy rainfall over the YRB. The eastward movement of the coupled system with a divergence/convergence center of the potential function at the upper/lower level resembles the spatiotemporal evolution of the heavy rainfall event over the YRB. 5Performance of WRF Large Eddy Simulations in Modeling the Convective Boundary Layer over the Taklimakan Desert, China显示文摘The maximum height of the convective boundary layer(CBL)over the Taklimakan Desert can exceed 5000 m during summer and plays a crucial role in the regional circulation and weather.We combined the Weather Research and Forecasting Large Eddy Simulation(WRF-LES)with data from Global Positioning System(GPS)radiosondes and from eddy covariance stations to evaluate the performance of the WRF-LES in simulating the characteristics of the deep CBL over the central Taklimakan Desert.The model reproduced the evolution of the CBL processes reasonably well,but the simulations generated warmer and moister conditions than the observation as a result of the over-prediction of surface fluxes and large-scale advection.Further simulations were performed with multiple configurations and sensitivity tests.The sensitivity tests for the lateral boundary conditions(LBCs)showed that the model results are sensitive to changes in the time resolution and domain size of the specified LBCs.A larger domain size varies the distance of the area of interest from the LBCs and reduces the influence of large forecast errors near the LBCs.Comparing the model results using the original parameterization of sensible heat flux with the Noah land surface scheme and those of the sensitivity experiments showed that the desert CBL is sensitive to the sensible heat flux produced by the land surface scheme during daytime in summer.A reduction in the sensible heat flux can correct overestimates of the potential temperature profile.However,increasing the sensible heat flux significantly reduces the total time needed to increase the CBL to a relatively low altitude(<3 km)in the middle and initial stages of the development of the CBL rather than producing a higher CBL in the later stages.Hongxiong XU Minzhong WANG Yinjun WANG Wenyue CAI 2018Journal of Meteorological Research2018,32,6:3
6Clinical characteristics and prognostic values of 1p32.3 deletion detected through fluorescence in situ hybridization in patients with newly diagnosed multiple myeloma: a single-center study in China显示文摘This study aimed to investigate the prevalence,clinical characteristics,and prognostic impact of 1p32.3 deletion in patients with newly diagnosed multiple myeloma (MM).A retrospective analysis was conducted on 411 patients with newly diagnosed MM;among which,270 received bortezomib-based therapies,and 141 received thalidomide-based therapies.Fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) was performed to detect six cytogenetic abnormalities,namely,del(1p32.3),gain(1q21),del(17p13),del(13q14),t(4;14),and t(11;14).Results showed that 8.3% of patients with MM were detected with del(1p32.3) and had significantly more bone marrow plasma cells (P =0.025),higher β2-microglobulin levels (P =0.036),and higher lactate dehydrogenase levels (P =0.042) than those without del(1p32.3).Univariate analysis showed that patients with del(1p32.3) under thalidomide-based therapies were strongly associated with short progression-free survival (PFS) (median PFS 11.6 vs.31.2 months,P =0.002) and overall survival (OS) (median OS 16.8 vs.45.9 months,P < 0.001).Multivariate analysis revealed that del(1p32.3) remained a powerful independent factor with worse PFS (P =0.006) and OS (P =0.016) for patients under thalidomide-based treatments.Patients with del(1 p32.3) under bortezomib-based treatments tended to have short PFS and OS.In conclusion,del(1p32.3) is associated with short PFS and OS in patients with MM who received thalidomide-or bortezomib-based treatments.Huanping Wang Haitao Meng Jinghan Wang Yinjun Lou Yile Zhou Peipei Lin Fenglin Li Lin Liu Huan Xu Min Yang Jie Jin 2020Frontiers of Medicine2020,14,3:2
7Study on the Clouds Detected by a Millimeter-Wave Cloud Radar over the Hinterland of the Taklimakan Desert in April–June 2018显示文摘This study was the first to conduct high-resolution consecutive detection of clouds over the hinterland of the Taklimakan Desert(TD)from April to June 2018 based on a ground-based Ka-band millimeter-wave cloud radar(MMCR),with focus on the structure and evolution of the desert clouds.We calculated reflectivity factor(Z),cloud boundary,and liquid water content(LWC)by use of the MMCR power spectrum data,which were verified against the observations from cloud profile radar(CPR)on board Cloud Sat.The results show that the TD clouds were mostly medium and high clouds,with thickness generally less than 2 km;moreover,the mean LWCs of these clouds were less than 0.01 gm^(-3),implying that cirrus and stratiform clouds were predominant.For the observed low clouds,however,the average thickness was 3166 m and accompanying drizzles were concentrated within 2.5-4.5 km,indicating that precipitation was more likely to occur in the low clouds.The mean LWC in the TD clouds was 0.0196 gm^(-3),less than that of clean clouds.Compared to other periods,the average durations and LWCs in the TD clouds increased significantly around noon owing to obvious surface sensible heating.The average time for evolution of high clouds into low clouds was approximately 2 h,and the average maximum LWC increased from 0.008 to 0.139 gm;.The results obtained herein provide a key reference for further studies of the structure and evolution characteristics of the desert clouds.Hu MING Minzhong WANG Ming WEI Yinjun WANG Xiaochen HOU Mingliang GAO 2021Journal of Meteorological Research2021,35,6:2

10Online search for UAV relay placement for free-space optical communication under shadowing显示文摘Unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)relaying is promising to overcome the challenge of signal blockage in free-space optical(FSO)communications for users in dense urban area.Existing works on UAV relay placement are mostly based on simplified line-of-sight(LOS)channel models or probabilistic channel models,and thus fail to capture the actual LOS status of the optical communication link.By contrast,this paper studies three-dimensional(3D)online placement for a UAV to construct relay links to two ground users in deep shadow with LOS guarantees.By analyzing the properties of the UAV relay placement problem,it is found that searching on a plane that approximates the equipotential surface can achieve a good performance and complexity trade-off for a good placement of the UAV relay in 3D.Based on these insights,a two-stage online search algorithm on an equipotential plane(TOSEP)is developed for a special case where the equipotential surface turns out to be an equipotential plane.For the general case,a strategy called gradient projected online search algorithm on an approximated equipotential plane(GOSAEP)is developed,which approximates the equipotential surface with a perpendicular plane using the gradient projection method.Numerical experiments are conducted over a real-world city topology,and it is shown that the GOSAEP achieves over 95%of the performance of the exhaustive 3D search scheme within a 300-m search length.Yuanshuai Zheng Yinjun Wang Junting Chen 2023Intelligent and Converged Networks2023,4,1:0
11Reinfection rates among patients previously infected by SARS-CoV-2:systematic review and meta-analysis显示文摘Background:Asymptomatic or symptomatic infection with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)can be followed by reinfection.The protection conferred by prior infection among coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)patients is unclear.We assessed the incidence of SARS-CoV-2 reinfection and the protection effect of previous infection against reinfection.Methods:We searched PubMed,EMBASE,Cochrane,Scopus,Web of Science,and ClinicalTrials.gov for publications up until the end date of May 1,2021.The reinfection rate of recovered patients and the protection against reinfection were analyzed using meta-analysis.Results:Overall,19 studies of 1096 reinfection patients were included.The pooled reinfection rate was 0.65%(95%confidence interval[CI]0.39-0.98%).The symptomatic reinfection rate was a bit lower(0.37%[95%CI 0.11-0.78%],I^(2)=99%).The reinfection rate was much higher in high-risk populations(1.59%[95%CI 0.30-3.88%],I^(2)=90%).The protection against reinfection and symptomatic reinfection was similar(87.02%[95%CI 83.22-89.96%]and 87.17%[95%CI 83.09-90.26%],respectively).Conclusions:The rate of reinfection with SARS-CoV-2 is relatively low.The protection against SARS-CoV-2 after natural infection is comparable to that estimated for vaccine efficacy.These data may help guide public health measures and vaccination strategies in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.High-quality clinical studies are needed to establish the relevant risk factors in recovered patients.Yinjun Mao Weiwei Wang Jun Ma Shanshan Wu Feng Sun 2022Chinese Medical Journal2022,,2:0
12Black tantalic oxide submicro-particles coating on PEEK fibers woven into fabrics as artificial ligaments with photothermal antibacterial effect and osteogenic activity for promoting ligament-bone healing显示文摘Design of artificial ligaments possessing both osteogenic activity and antibacterial effect that promotes ligament-bone healing and prevents bacterial infection in bone tunnels for anterior cruciate ligament(ACL)reconstruction remains a significant challenge.In this study,black tantalic oxide(BTO)submicro-particles with oxygen vacancies and structure defects were fabricated by using traditional white tan-talic oxide(WTO)through magnesium thermal reduction(MTR)method,and BTO was coated on polyetheretherketone(PEEK)fibers(PKF),which were woven into fabrics(PBT)as artificial ligaments.PBT with BTO coating exhibited excellent photothermal performance,which possessed not only antibac-terial effects in vitro but also anti-infective ability in vivo.PBT with optimized surface properties(e.g.,submicro-topography and hydrophilicity)not only significantly facilitated rat bone mesenchymal stem cells(BMSC)responses(e.g.,proliferation and osteogenic differentiation)in vitro but also stimulated new bone formation for ligament-bone healing in vivo.The presence of oxygen vacancies and structure de-fects in BTO did not change the surface properties and osteogenic activity of BPT while displaying an outstanding photothermal antibacterial effect.In summary,BPT with osteogenic activity and photother-mal antibacterial effect promoted bone regeneration and prevented bacterial infection,thereby promoting ligament-bone healing.Therefore,PBT would have tremendous potential as a novel artificial ligament for ACL reconstruction.Fan Wang Mengyao Wang Qingsong He Xuehong Wang Ping Sun Yinjun Ji Yunfei Niu Fengqian Li Jie Wei 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,2:0
13Bearings Intelligent Fault Diagnosis by 1-D Adder Neural Networks显示文摘Integrated with sensors,processors,and radio frequency(RF)communication modules,intelligent bearing could achieve the autonomous perception and autonomous decision-making,guarantying the safety and reliability during their use.However,because of the resource limitations of the end device,processors in the intelligent bearing are unable to carry the computational load of deep learning models like convolutional neural network(CNN),which involves a great amount of multiplicative operations.To minimize the computation cost of the conventional CNN,based on the idea of AdderNet,a 1-D adder neural network with a wide first-layer kernel(WAddNN)suitable for bearing fault diagnosis is proposed in this paper.The proposed method uses the l1-norm distance between filters and input features as the output response,thus making the whole network almost free of multiplicative operations.The whole model takes the original signal as the input,uses a wide kernel in the first adder layer to extract features and suppress the high frequency noise,and then uses two layers of small kernels for nonlinear mapping.Through experimental comparison with CNN models of the same structure,WAddNN is able to achieve a similar accuracy as CNN models with significantly reduced computational cost.The proposed model provides a new fault diagnosis method for intelligent bearings with limited resources.Jian Tang Chao Wei Quanchang Li Yinjun Wang Xiaoxi Ding Wenbin Huang 2022Journal of Dynamics, Monitoring and Diagnostics2022,1,3:0

16Visual Detection of COVID‑19 from Materials Aspect显示文摘In the recent COVID-19 pandemic,World Health Organization emphasized that early detection is an effective strategy to reduce the spread of SARS-CoV-2 viruses.Several diagnostic methods,such as reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR)and lateral flow immunoassay(LFIA),have been applied based on the mechanism of specific recognition and binding of the probes to viruses or viral antigens.Although the remarkable progress,these methods still suffer from inadequate cellular materials or errors in the detection and sampling procedure of nasopharyngeal/oropharyngeal swab collection.Therefore,developing accurate,ultrafast,and visualized detection calls for more advanced materials and technology urgently to fight against the epidemic.In this review,we first summarize the current methodologies for SARS-CoV-2 diagnosis.Then,recent representative examples are introduced based on various output signals(e.g.,colorimetric,fluorometric,electronic,acoustic).Finally,we discuss the limitations of the methods and provide our perspectives on priorities for future test development.Gang Wang Le Wang Zheyi Meng Xiaolong Su Chao Jia Xiaolan Qiao Shaowu Pan Yinjun Chen Yanhua Cheng Meifang Zhu 2022Advanced Fiber Materials2022,4,6:0
