1Challenges in the diagnosis of intestinal neuronal dysplasia type B:A look beyond the number of ganglion cells显示文摘Intestinal neuronal dysplasia type B(IND-B)is a controversial condition among gastrointestinal neuromuscular disorders.Constipation is its most common clinical manifestation in patients.Despite intense scientific research,there are still knowledge gaps regarding the diagnostic criteria for IND-B in the histopathological analysis of rectal biopsies.The guidelines published in the past three decades have directed diagnostic criteria for quantifying the number of ganglion cells in the nervous plexus of the enteric nervous system.However,it is very complex to distinguish numerically what is pathological from what is normal,mainly because of the difficulty in determining a reliable control group composed of healthy children without intestinal symptoms.Thus,a series of immunohistochemical markers have been proposed to assist in the histopathological analysis of the enteric nervous system.Several of these markers facilitate the identification of other structures of the enteric nervous system,in addition to ganglion cells.These structures may be related to the etiopathogenesis of IND-B and represent new possibilities for the histopathological diagnosis of this disease,providing a view beyond the number of ganglion cells.This review critically discusses the aspects related to the disease definitions and diagnostic criteria of this organic cause of constipation.Simone Antunes Terra Anderson Cesar Gonçalves Pedro Luiz Toledo de Arruda Lourenção Maria Aparecida Marchesan Rodrigues 2021World Journal of Gastroenterology2021,27,44:2

9Brazilian savanna re-establishment in a monoculture forest:diversity and environmental relations of native regenerating understory in Pinus caribaea Morelet. stands显示文摘In this paper we analyze and compare natural regeneration in shrub-tree community in three areas below Pinus caribaea stands and a natural area(cerrado sensu stricto). We also analyze the influence of biophysical and environmental variables on the distribution of regenerating shrub-tree species. The areas were analyzed and compared in relation to dispersal syndromes as well, being zoochory and anemochory the prevailing syndroms in the four areas.The sites below P. caribaea show a heterogeneous regeneration with the number of species ranging from 18 to 42.We analyzed the influence of the biophysical and environmental variables performing a canonical correspondence analyses, being found significant values for variables distance from remnant and basal area. The species Siparuna guianensis, Miconia albicans, Xylopia aromatica,Sclerolobium paniculatum, Casearia sylvestris and P.caribaea were the most importante ones in the four areas.Gasto Viegas de Pinho Júnior AndréR. 16Genotype-environment interaction in Cordia trichotoma(Vell.)Arráb.Ex Steud.progenies in two different soil conditions显示文摘Investment in silvicultural techniques is noticeably lacking,especially in breeding programs for non-conventional wood species.Studying genotype×environment interaction(G×E)is essential to the development of breeding programs.Thus,this study aimed to estimate genetic diversity of and the effects of G×E interaction on two progeny tests of Cordia trichotoma,including the estimation of genetic gain and genetic diversity after selection.For the experiment,30 progenies of C.trichotoma were tested at two sites with differing soil textures.Diameter at breast height(1.30 m above soil surface,dbh-cm),total height,diameter at 30 cm from the soil,first branch height,and survival were all monitored for four years.Statistical deviance,best linear unbiased estimator,and harmonic mean of relative performance of genetic values(MHPRVG)were all calculated to predict breeding values,estimate genetic parameters,and analyze deviance.All quantified traits varied significantly among progenies by soil type,with greatest variation recorded for genetic variability.Heritability of the progenies led to predictions of genetic gain,ranging from 7.73 to 15.45%,for dbh at four years of age.The calculated decrease in genetic diversity after selection showed that this parameter should be monitored in subsequent breeding cycles.G×E was low for all tests.The best-performing progenies proved most stable and best adapted to the different environmental conditions tested.Wanderley dos Santos Bruno Marchetti de Souza Daniele Fernanda Zulian Gilberto Terra Ribeiro Alves João Bosco Vasconcellos Gomes Mário Luiz Teixeira de Moraes Valderês Aparecida de Sousa Ananda Virginia de Aguiar 2022Journal of Forestry Research2022,33,1:0
