| 1 | A Straight-bladed Vertical Axis Wind Turbine with a Directed Guide Vane Row-Effect of Guide Vane Geometry on the Performance-显示文摘The objective of this study is to show the effect of guide vane geometry on the performance. In order to overcomethe disadvantages of vertical axis wind turbine, a straight-bladed vertical axis wind turbine (S-VAWT) witha directed guide vane row has been proposed and tested by the authors. According to previous studies, it wasclarified that the performance of the turbine can be improved by means of the directed guide vane row. However,the guide vane geometry of S-VAWT has not been optimized so far. In order to clarify the effect of guide vanegeometry, the effects of setting angle and gap between rotor blade and guide vane on power coefficient and startingcharacteristic were investigated in the experiments. The experimental study of the proposed wind turbinewas carried out by a wind tunnel. The wind tunnel with a diameter of 1.8m is open jet type. The wind velocityis 8 m/s in the experiments. The rotor has three straight blades with a profide of NACA0018 and a chord lengthof 100 mm, a diameter of 0.6 m and a blade height of 0.7 m. | 2 | NF-κB and ERK-signaling pathways contribute to the gene expression induced by cag PAI-positive-Helicobacter pylori infection显示文摘AIM: To elucidate the sequential gene expression profile in AGS cells co-cultured with wild-type Hellcobacter pylori (Hpylon) as a model of H pylori-infected gastric epithelium, and to further examine the contribution of cag-pathogenicity islands (cagPAI)-coding type Ⅳ secretion system and the two pathways, nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB) and extracellular signal-regulated kinases (ERK) on wild-type H pylori-induced gene expression. METHODS: Gene expression profiles induced by H pylori were evaluated in AGS gastric epithelial cells using cDNA microarray, which were present in the 4 600 independent clones picked up from the human gastric tissue. We also analyzed the contribution of NF-κB and ERK signaling on H pylori-induced gene expression by using inhibitors of specific signal pathways. The isogenic mutant with disrupted capE (△cagE) was used to elucidate the role of capPAI-encoding type Ⅳ secretion system in the gene expression profile. RESULTS: According to the expression profile, the genes were classified into four clusters. Among them, the clusters characterized by continuous upregulation were most conspicuous, and it contained many signal transducer activity-associated genes. The role of cagPAI on cultured cells was also investigated using isogenic mutant cagE, which carries non-functional cagPAI. Then the upregulation of more than 80% of the induced genes (476/566) was found to depend on cagPAI. Signal transducer pathway through NF-κB or ERK are the major pathways which are known to be activated by cagPAI-positive H pylori. The role of these pathways in the whole signal activation by cagPAI- positive H pylori was analyzed. The specific inhibitors against NF-κB or ERK pathway blocked the activation of gene expression in 65% (367/566) or 76% (429/566) of the genes whose activation appealed to depend on cagPAI. | 3 | Inhibitory effects of carbon dioxide insufflation on pneumoperitoneum and bowel distension after percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy显示文摘AIM:To evaluate the inhibitory effects of carbon dioxide (CO2) insufflation on pneumoperitoneum and bowel distension after percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG).METHODS:A total of 73 consecutive patients who were undergoing PEG were enrolled in our study.After eliminating 13 patients who fitted our exclusion criteria,60 patients were randomly assigned to either CO2 (30 patients) or air insufflation (30 patients) groups.PEG was performed by pull-through technique after threepoint fixation of the gastric wall to the abdominal wall using a gastropexy device.Arterial blood gas analysis was performed immediately before and after the procedure.Abdominal X-ray was performed at 10 min and at 24 h after PEG to assess the extent of bowel distension.Abdominal computed tomography was performed at 24 h after the procedure to detect the presence of pneumoperitoneum.The outcomes of PEG for 7 d postprocedure were also investigated.RESULTS:Among 30 patients each for the air and the CO2 groups,PEG could not be conducted in 2 patients of the CO2 group,thus they were excluded.Analyses of the remaining 58 patients showed that the patients' backgrounds were not significantly different between the two groups.The elevation values of arterial partial pressure of CO2 in the air group and the CO2 group were 2.67 mmHg and 3.32 mmHg,respectively (P = 0.408).The evaluation of bowel distension on abdominal X ray revealed a significant decrease of small bowel distension in the CO2 group compared to the air group (P < 0.001) at 10 min and 24 h after PEG,whereas there was no significant difference in large bowel distension between the two groups.Pneumoperitoneum was observed only in the air group but not in the CO2 group (P = 0.003).There were no obvious differences in the laboratory data and clinical outcomes after PEG between the two groups.CONCLUSION:There was no adverse event associated with CO2 insufflation.CO2 insufflation is considered to be safer and more comfortable for PEG patients because of the lower incidence of pneumoperitoneum and less distension of the small bowel. | Shinji Nishiwaki Hiroshi Araki Motoshi Hayashi Jun Takada Masahide Iwashita Atsushi Tagami Hiroo Hatakeyama Takao Hayashi Teruo Maeda Koshiro Saito | 2012 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2012,18,27: | 7 |
| 4 | Analysis of Aerodynamic Load on Straight-bladed Vertical Axis Wind Turbine显示文摘This paper presents a wind tunnel experiment for the evaluation of energy performance and aerodynamic forces acting on a small straight-bladed vertical axis wind turbine(VAWT) depending on several values of tip speed ratio. In the present study, the wind turbine is a four-bladed VAWT. The test airfoil of blade is symmetry airfoil(NACA0021) with 32 pressure ports used for the pressure measurements on blade surface. Based on the pressure distributions which are acted on the surface of rotor blade measured during rotation by multiport pressure-scanner mounted on a hub, the power, tangential force, lift and drag coefficients which are obtained by pressure distribution are discussed as a function of azimuthally position. And then, the loads which are applied to the entire wind turbine are compared with the experiment data of pressure distribution. As a result, it is clarified that aerodynamic forces take maximum value when the blade is moving to upstream side, and become small and smooth at downstream side. | 5 | Study on Blade Surface Flow around Wind Turbine by Using LDV Measurements显示文摘This paper has attempted to study a mechanism of three-dimensional flow around a horizontal axis wind turbine(HAWT) rotor blade. An experimental study of the flow phenomenon in the vicinity of the wind turbine blade is a challenging endeavor. In this research, the HAWT model with 2.4 m diameter was tested in the large wind tunnel. The flow around the rotating blade surface was measured simultaneously for three velocity components, and two probes were used for the synchronized measurement of three-dimensional flow components. The local velocity was detected for the single seeding particle measured in the point where three pairs of laser beams intersected. Blade sections of interest in this study are composed of radial positions r/R = 0.3, 0.5 and 0.7. Optimum and low tip speed ratio flow characteristics were also compared. | 6 | Wind Tunnel Study on Wind and Turbulence Intensity Profiles in Wind Turbine Wake显示文摘In recent years, there has been a rapid development of the wind farms in Japan. It becomes very important to investigate the wind turbine arrangement in wind farm, in order that the wake of one wind turbine does not to interfere with the flow in other wind turbines. In such a case, in order to achieve the highest possible efficiency from the wind, and to install as many as possible wind turbines within a limited area, it becomes a necessity to study the mutual interference of the wake developed by wind turbines. However, there is no report related to the effect of the turbulence intensity of the external flow on the wake behind a wind turbine generated in the wind tunnel. In this paper, the measurement results of the averaged wind profile and turbulence intensity profile in the wake in the wind tunnel are shown when the turbulence intensity of the external wind was changed. The wind tunnel experiment is performed with 500mm-diameter two-bladed horizontal axis wind turbine and the wind velocity in wake is measured by an I-type hot wire probe. | 7 | 伴放线放线杆菌菌落生长形态变化的观察显示文摘目的 观察伴放线放线杆菌 (Actinobacillusactinomycetemcomitans,Aa)从粗糙型到光滑型的转变过程 ,识别Aa在实验室传代过程中出现的不同生长形态。方法 从牙周炎患者龈下菌斑中分离出的原代菌株 8株 ,应用固体及液体培养基连续传代 ,液体培养每次传代的同时接种固体培养基观察相应的菌落形态。结果 液体培养获得 3株光滑型转变株。菌落的变化从粘附的小菌落到沉淀的大菌落到完全的均匀生长 ,转化过程大约需要 7~ 8代。在这一过程中相应传至固体培养基上生长的Aa从粘附的半透明的小菌落变大、不透明并失去粘附的特性 ,又随着边缘的扩散变为扁平 ,透明度也增加 ;与此同时内部的星形结构逐渐变简单、变小 ,最后消失。固体培养未获得典型的转变株。结论 Aa从粗糙型到光滑型的转变是一个菌落湿度逐渐增加 ,体积逐渐增大 ,并逐渐失去内部结构的过程。这一过程至少可以看到半透明突起的粗糙型、不透明突起的光滑型和近乎透明的扁平光滑型 | 王者玲 杨圣辉 李金路 Nobuko Maeda Tomoko Ohshima Ayako Takao | 2003 | 中华口腔医学杂志2003,38,1: | 3 |

| 9 | A case of chronic pancreatitis in which endoscopic ultrasonography was effective in the diagnosis of a pseudoaneurysm显示文摘Endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS) was performed on a patient being treated for chronic pancreatitis because a submucosal tumor was observed in the stomach during gastrointestinal endoscopy. As internal pulsa- tile blood flow on Doppler was present, the diagnosis of an aneurysm was made. The pseudoaneurysm of the left gastric artery was embolized with histoacryl and lipiodol and the splenic artery was embolized with coils at the location of the pseudoaneurysm to prevent hemorrhage. Follow up EUS confirmed the cessation of blood flow from the pseudoaneurysm.
