| 1 | FeCo alloy@N-doped graphitized carbon as an efficient cocatalyst for enhanced photocatalytic H2 evolution by inducing accelerated charge transfer显示文摘Cocatalysts play important roles in improving the activity and stability of most photocatalysts.It is of great significance to develop economical,efficient and stable cocatalysts.Herein,using Na2CoFe(CN)6 complex as precursor,a novel noble-metal-free FeCo@NGC cocatalyst(nano-FeCo alloy@N-doped graphitized carbon) is fabricated by a simple pyrolysis method.Coupling with g-C3 N4, the optimal FeCo@NGC/g-C3N4 receives a boosted visible light driven photocatalytic H2 evolution rate of 42.2 μmol h-1, which is even higher than that of 1.0 wt% Pt modified g-C3N4 photocatalyst.Based on the results of density functional theory(DFT) calculations and practical experiment measurements,such outstanding photocatalytic performance of FeCo@NGC/g-C3N4 is mainly attributed to two aspects.One is the accelerated charge transfer behavior,induced by a photogene rated electrons secondary transfer performance on the surface of FeCo alloy nanoparticles.The other is related to the adjustment of H adsorption energy(approaching the standard hydrogen electrode potential) by the presence of external NGC thin layer.Both factors play key roles in the H2 evolution reaction.Such outstanding performance highlights an enormous potential of developing noble-metal-free bimetallic nano-alloy as inexpensive and efficient cocatalysts for solar applications. | Sibo Chen Yun Hau Ng Jihai Liao Qiongzhi Gao Siyuan Yang Feng Peng Xinhua Zhong Yueping Fang Shengsen Zhang | 2021 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,1: | 3 |

| 5 | Rapid source inversions of the 2023 SE Türkiye earthquakes with teleseismic and strong-motion data显示文摘We conducted rapid inversions of rupture process for the 2023 earthquake doublet occurred in SE Türkiye,the first with a magnitude of M_(W)7.8 and the second with a magnitude of M_(W)7.6,using teleseismic and strong-motion data.The teleseismic rupture models of the both events were obtained approximately 88 and 55 minutes after their occurrences,respectively.The rupture models indicated that the first event was an asymmetric bilateral event with ruptures mainly propagating to the northeast,while the second one was a unilateral event with ruptures propagating to the west.This information could be useful in locating the meizoseismal areas.Compared with teleseismic models,the strong-motion models showed relatively higher resolution.A noticeable difference was found for the M_(W)7.6 earthquake,for which the strong-motion models shows a bilateral event,rather than a unilateral event,but the dominant rupture direction is still westward.Nevertheless,all strong-motion models are consistent with the teleseismic models in terms of magnitudes,durations,and dominant rupture directions.This suggests that both teleseismic and strong-motion data can be used for fast determination of major source characteristics.In contrast,the strong-motion data would be preferable in future emergency responses since they are recorded earlier and have a better resolution ability on the source ruptures. | Chenyu Xu Yong Zhang Sibo Hua Xu Zhang Lisheng Xu Yuntai Chen Tuncay Taymaz | 2023 | Earthquake Science2023,36,4: | 1 |

| 7 | Improved methodology for efficient establishment of the myocardial ischemia-reperfusion model in pigs through the median thoracic incision显示文摘To investigate the feasibility and effectiveness of establishing porcine ischemia-reperfusion models by ligating the left anterior descending(LAD)coronary artery,we first randomly divided 16 male Bama pigs into a sham group and a model group.After anesthesia,we separated the arteries and veins.Subsequently,we rapidly located the LAD coronary artery at the beginning of its first diagonal branch through a mid-chest incision.Then,we loosened and released the ligation line after five minutes of pre-occlusion.Finally,we ligated the LAD coronary artery in situ two minutes later and loosened the ligature 60 min after ischemia.Compared with the sham group,electrocardiogram showed multiple continuous lead ST-segment elevations,and ultrasound cardiogram showed significantly lower ejection fraction and left ventricular fractional shortening at one hour and seven days post-operation in the model group.Twenty-four hours after the operation,cardiac troponin T and creatine kinase-MB isoenzyme levels significantly increased in the model group,compared with the sham group.Hematoxylin and eosin staining showed the presence of many inflammatory cells infiltrating the interstitium of the myocardium in the model group but not in the sham group.Masson staining revealed a significant increase in infarct size in the ischemia/reperfusion group.All eight pigs in the model group recovered with normal sinus heart rates,and the survival rate was 100%.In conclusion,the method can provide an accurate and stable large animal model for preclinical research on ischemia/reperfusion with a high success rate and homogeneity of the myocardial infarction area. | Liuhua Zhou Jiateng Sun Tongtong Yang Sibo Wang Tiankai Shan Lingfeng Gu Jiawen Chen Tianwen Wei Di Zhao Chong Du Yulin Bao Hao Wang Xiaohu Lu Haoliang Sun Meng Lv Di Yang Liansheng Wang | 2023 | The Journal of Biomedical Research2023,37,4: | 1 |

| 9 | Nanotechnology in retinal drug delivery显示文摘Retinal diseases, including age-related macular degeneration(AMD) and diabetic retinopathy(DR) are the leading causes of blindness in adults over the age of 50 years in the US. While most of those conditions do not have a cure, currently available treatment options attempt to prevent further vision loss. For many ophthalmic drugs, an efficient delivery system to provide maximum therapeutic efficacy and promote patient compliance remains an unmet medical need. An exploration of literature via Pub Med spanning from 2007 to 2017 was conducted to identify studies that have evaluated nanotechnology as platforms for delivering therapeutic agents to the posterior segment of the eye where the retina is located. Until now, four routes that have been utilized for retinal drug delivery are the intravitreal, periocular, subretinal, and systemic routes. Intravitreal injections are now widely used in clinical practice due to their ability to directly target the back of the eye but are highly invasive procedures that may cause several complications, particularly with repeated uses over a short timespan. Nanotechnology shows great promise to revolutionize retinal drug delivery, offering many advantages such as a targeted delivery system towards the specific site of the retina as well as sustained delivery of therapeutic agents. In this review, specific eye anatomy and constraints on ocular drug administration are illustrated. | 15 | Selective synthesis of nitrate from air using a plasma-driven gas-liquid relay reaction system显示文摘The direct oxidation of nitrogen is a potential pathway to achieving the zero-carbon-emission synthesis of nitric acid or nitrate, because it does not involve ammonia synthesis and additional ammonia oxidation processes. However, the slow kinetics of nitrogen oxidation and the difficult selective control of oxidation products hinder the development of this process. In this study, a plasma-driven gas-liquid relay reaction system was developed to overcome these limitations. A typical feature of this reaction system is that it can efficiently generate NO_x under plasma exposure;moreover, the specific anions in the absorption solution can be oxidized to strong oxidants capable of relay oxidation of low-valence nitrogen oxides. This feature allows for the deep oxidation of nitrogen, thus enabling the oxidation products of nitrogen to exist in high-valence states in the absorption solution. | 16 | Partial dehydration of brucite and its implications for water distribution in the subducting oceanic slab显示文摘Hydrous minerals within the subducting oceanic slab are important hosts for water.Clarification of the stability field of hydrous minerals helps to understand transport and distribution of water from the surface to the Earth’s interior.We investigated the stability of brucite,a prototype of hydrous minerals,by means of electrical conductivity measurements in both open and closed systems at 3 GPa and temperatures up to 1300 K.Dramatic increase of conductivity in association with characteristic impedance spectra suggests that partial dehydration of single-crystal brucite in the open system with a low water fugacity occurs at 950 K,which is about 300 K lower than those previously defined by phase equilibrium experiments in the closed system.By contrast,brucite completely dehydrates at 1300 K in the closed system,consistent with previous studies.Partial dehydration may generate a highly defective structure but does not lead to the breakdown of brucite to periclase and water immediately.Water activity plays a key role in the stability of hydrous minerals.Low water activity(a H_(2)O)caused by the high wetting behavior of the subducted oceanic slab at the transition zone depth may cause the partial dehydration of the dense hydrous magnesium silicates(DHMSs),which significantly reduces the temperature stability of DHMS(this mechanism has been confirmed by previous study on super hydrous phase B).As a result,the transition zone may serve as a‘dead zone’for DHMSs,and most water will be stored in wadsleyite and ringwoodite in the transition zone. | Xinzhuan Guo Takashi Yoshino Sibo Chen Xiang Wu Junfeng Zhang | 2022 | Geoscience Frontiers2022,13,2: | 0 |
| 17 | Negative pressure effect on the electrical conductivity of San Carlos olivine and its implication to the electrical structure in the upper mantle显示文摘Pressure effect on the electrical conductivity of San Carlos olivine was investigated by the newly installed electrical conductivity measurement system at China University of Geosciences. Electrical conductivity of San Carlos olivine aggregates was measured up to 12 GPa and 1475 K using the Walker-type multi-anvil apparatus equipped with eight WC cubes as the second-stage anvils. The pressure generation against applied load for the experimental assemblage was examined by phase transition of Bi,quartz, forsterite under different P-T conditions. To check the data validity of this new system, electrical conductivities of the serpentinites and talc samples were measured. The results are consistent with the published data of the same samples. Electrical conductivity(σ) of the San Carlos olivine aggregates and temperature(T) satisfy the Arrhenian formula: σ=σ0exp[.(ΔE+PΔV)/kT].The pre-exponential factor(σ0), activation energy(ΔE) and activation volume(ΔV) yield value of 7.74 S/m, 0.85 eV and 0.94cm3/mol, respectively. Electrical conductivities of the San Carlos olivine aggregates decline with increasing pressure at same temperatures. The negative pressure effect can be interpreted by strain energy model of defect energy together with the lattice deformation. In addition, the electrical conductivity-depth 1-D profile of the upper mantle was constructed based on our results and some assumptions. | 20 | Contribution and Prospect of Erect Panicle Type to Japonica Super Rice显示文摘Over the past 30 years,super rice played an important role in boosting rice yield.The phenotype of erect panicle(EP)architecture controlled by dense and erect panicle 1(dep1)is the typical characteristic of super rice,and the phenotype has been used in rice breeding for nearly a century.In this review,the molecular genetic basis of EP phenotype,and mechanism of how dep1 affects rice carbon,nitrogen metabolism and grain quality(grain shape and taste quality)were discussed.In addition,we discussed the possible improvement strategies of rice yield and quality.This review provides a quick overview of the whole process for rice quality formation,as well as suggestions and ideas for future research on rice quality improvement. | Chen Sibo Tang Liang Sun Jian Xu Quan Xu Zhengjin Chen Wenfu | 2021 | Rice science2021,28,5: | 0 |
