1Climate and litter C/N ratio constrain soil organic carbon accumulation显示文摘Soil organic carbon(SOC) plays critical roles in stabilizing atmospheric CO2 concentration, but the mechanistic controls on the amount and distribution of SOC on global scales are not well understood. In turn, this has hampered the ability to model global C budgets and to find measures to mitigate climate change. Here, based on the data from a large field survey campaign with 2600 plots across China’s forest ecosystems and a global collection of published data from forested land, we find that a low litter carbon-to-nitrogen ratio(C/N) and high wetness index(P/PET, precipitation-to-potentialevapotranspiration ratio) are the two factors that promote SOC accumulation, with only minor contributions of litter quantity and soil texture. The field survey data demonstrated that high plant diversity decreased litter C/N and thus indirectly promoted SOC accumulation by increasing the litter quality. We conclude that any changes in plant-community composition, plant-species richness and environmental factors that can reduce the litter C/N ratio, or climatic changes that increase wetness index, may promote SOC accumulation. 4High temperature SMES for improving power system stabilities显示文摘Superconducting magnetic energy storage (SMES) system has been proven very effective to improve power system stabilities. It is realized with superconductivity technology, power electronics and control theory. In order to promote the applica-tion of such kind control device and to further investigate the properties of the controller, a detail mathematic model of such control device is developed. Based on the developed model, extensive analysis including time domain simulation is carried out to investigate the characteristic of the SMES to compensate the unba- lanced dynamic active and reactive power of AC power system. The capability of SMES to increase power system transient and small signal perturbation stabilities are analyzed. A prototype SMES is developed, in which the conduction cooling and the high temperature superconductive techniques are used. The performance of the prototype is experimentally investigated in a laboratory environment. Very en-couraging results are obtained. 5Hierarchical graphene@MXene composite foam modified with flower-shaped FeS for efficient and broadband electromagnetic absorption显示文摘Developing high-performance broadband microwave absorption material becomes an urgent concern in the field of electromagnetic protection.In this work,an ultralight magnetic composite foam was con-structed by electrostatic self-assembly of MXene on the surface of graphene skeletons,and subsequent hydrothermal anchoring of flower-shaped FeS clusters.Under the synergistic effect of MXene coating in-creasing conductive loss and FeS clusters improving magnetic loss,the rational construction of hierarchi-cal impedance structure in foam can effectively promote the entrance and consumption of more incident electromagnetic waves.The minimum reflection loss(RL min)reaches-47.17 dB at a thickness of 4.78 mm,and the corresponding effective absorption bandwidth(EAB)is up to 6.15 GHz.More importantly,the microwave absorption performance of composite foam can be further optimized by controlling the load-ing of MXene and thermal treatment at a low temperature.The maximum of EAB for GMF-300 can be extended to an unprecedented value of 11.20 GHz(covering 6.10-17.30 GHz).Shuangshuang Li Xinwei Tang Xu Zhao Shijie Lu Jiangtao Luo Zheyuan Chai Tiantian Ma Qianqian Lan Piming Ma Weifu Dong Zicheng Wang Tianxi Liu 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,2:4
6Sialic acid-engineered mesoporous polydopamine nanoparticles loaded with SPIO and Fe3+as a novel theranostic agent for T1/T2 dual-mode MRI-guided combined chemo-photothermal treatment of hepatic cancer显示文摘diagnostic and therapeutic capability are highly needed for the treatment of hepatic cancer.Herein,we aimed to develop a novel mesoporous polydopamine(MPDA)-based theranostic agent for T1/T2 dual magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)-guided cancer chemo-photothermal therapy.Superparamagnetic iron oxide(SPIO)-loaded MPDA NPs(MPDA@SPIO)was firstly prepared,followed by modifying with a targeted molecule of sialic acid(SA)and chelating with Fe^(3+)(SA-MPDA@SPIO/Fe^(3+) NPs).After that,doxorubicin(DOX)-loaded SA-MPDA@SPIO/Fe^(3+) NPs(SA-MPDA@SPIO/DOX/Fe^(3+))was prepared for tumor theranostics.The prepared SAPEG-MPDA@SPIO/Fe^(3+) NPs were water-dispersible and biocompatible as evidenced by MTT assay.In vitro photothermal and relaxivity property suggested that the novel theranostic agent possessed excellent photothermal conversion capability and photostability,with relaxivity of being r1=4.29 mM��1s��1 and r2=105.53 mM��1s��1,respectively.SAPEG-MPDA@SPIO/Fe^(3+) NPs could effectively encapsulate the DOX,showing dual pH-and thermal-triggered drug release behavior.In vitro and in vivo studies revealed that SA-MPDA@SPIO/DOX/Fe^(3+) NPs could effectively target to the hepatic tumor tissue,which was possibly due to the specific interaction between SA and the overexpressed E-selectin.This behavior also endowed SA-MPDA@SPIO/DOX/Fe^(3+)NPs with a more precise T1-T2 dual mode contrast imaging effect than the one without SA modification.In addition,SAPEG-MPDA@SPIO/DOX/Fe^(3+) NPs displayed a superior therapeutic effect,which was due to its active targeting ability and combined effects of chemotherapy and photothermal therapy.These results demonstrated that SAPEG-MPDA@SPIO/DOX/Fe^(3+) NPs is an effective targeted nanoplatform for tumor theranostics,having potential value in the effective treatment of hepatic cancer.Gaofeng Shu Minjiang Chen Jingjing Song Xiaoling Xu Chenying Lu Yuyin Du Min Xu Zhongwei Zhao Minxia Zhu Kai Fan Xiaoxi Fan Shiji Fang Bufu Tang Yiyang Dai Yongzhong Du Jiansong Ji 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,5:4
7Antibacterial polysaccharide-based hydrogel dressing containing plant essential oil for burn wound healing显示文摘Background:Polysaccharide-based hydrogels have been developed for many years to treat burn wounds.Essential oils extracted from aromatic plants generally exhibit superior biological activity,especially antibacterial properties.Studies have shown that antibacterial hydrogels mixed with essential oils have great potential for burn wound healing.This study aimed to develop an antibacterial polysaccharide-based hydrogel with essential oil for burn skin repair.Methods:Eucalyptus essential oil(EEO),ginger essential oil(GEO)and cumin essential oil(CEO)were employed for the preparation of effective antibacterial hydrogels physically crosslinked by carboxymethyl chitosan(CMC)and carbomer 940(CBM).Composite hydrogels were prepared and characterized using antimicrobial activity studies,Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy,X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy,gas chromatography-mass spectrometery,rheological analysis,viscosity,swelling,water loss rate and water vapor transmission rate studies.In addition,the biocompatibility of hydrogels was evaluated in vivo by cytotoxicity and cell migration assays and the burn healing ability of hydrogels was tested in vivo using burn-induced wounds in mice.Results:The different essential oils exhibited different mixing abilities with the hydrogel matrix(CMC and CBM),which caused varying levels of reduction in essential oil hydrogel viscosity,swelling and water vapor transmission.Among the developed hydrogels,the CBM/CMC/EEO hydrogel exhibited optimal antibacterial activities of 46.26±2.22%and 63.05±0.99%against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli,respectively,along with cell viability(>92.37%)and migration activity.Furthermore,the CBM/CMC/EEO hydrogel accelerated wound healing in mouse burn models by promoting the recovery of dermis and epidermis as observed using a hematoxylin–eosin and Masson’s trichrome staining assay.The findings from an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay demonstrated that the CBM/CMC/EEO hydrogel could repair wounds through interleukin-6 and tumor necrosis factor-αdownregulation and transforming growth factor-β,vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)and epidermal growth factor upregulation.Conclusions:This study successfully prepared a porous CBM/CMC/EEO hydrogel with high antibacterial activity,favorable swelling,optimal rheological properties,superiorwater retention andwater vapor transmission performance and a significant effect on skin repair in vitro and in vivo.The results indicate that the CBM/CMC/EEO hydrogel has the potential for use as a promising burn dressing material for skin burn repair.Huanhuan Wang Yang Liu Kun Cai Bin Zhang Shijie Tang Wancong Zhang Wenhua Liu 2021Burns & Trauma2021,9,1:3

9Robust Image Hashing via Random Gabor Filtering and DWT显示文摘Image hashing is a useful multimedia technology for many applications,such as image authentication,image retrieval,image copy detection and image forensics.In this paper,we propose a robust image hashing based on random Gabor filtering and discrete wavelet transform(DWT).Specifically,robust and secure image features are first extracted from the normalized image by Gabor filtering and a chaotic map called Skew tent map,and then are compressed via a single-level 2-D DWT.Image hash is finally obtained by concatenating DWT coefficients in the LL sub-band.Many experiments with open image datasets are carried out and the results illustrate that our hashing is robust,discriminative and secure.Receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve comparisons show that our hashing is better than some popular image hashing algorithms in classification performance between robustness and discrimination.Zhenjun Tang Man Ling Heng Yao Zhenxing Qian Xianquan Zhang Jilian Zhang Shijie Xu 2018Computers, Materials & Continua2018,,5:2
10Extinction of the zero-phonon line and the first-order phonon sideband in excitonic luminescence of ZnO at room temperature: the self-absorption effect显示文摘It is firmly demonstrated in experiment that the self-absorption(SA) effect can lead to the extinction of the zero-phonon line and the first-order longitudinal optical phonon sideband of free excitonic luminescence of ZnO at room temperature. Moreover, effectiveness degree of SA effect is found to be dependent on both absorption coefficient and travelling distance of emitted photons, as well as even lattice temperature, which is uniquely reflected by the redshift amount in emission peak in ZnO. It is also unambiguously proved that the SA effect still strictly obeys the Beer-Lambert law of absorption. 12Degradation mechanism analysis of LiNi_(0.5)Co_(0.2)Mn_(0.3)O_(2) single crystal cathode materials through machine learning显示文摘LiNi_(0.5)Co_(0.2)Mn_(0.3)O_(2)(NCM523)has become one of the most popular cathode materials for current lithium-ion batteries due to its high-energy density and cost performance.However,the rapid capacity fading of NCM severely hinders its development and applications.Here,the single crystal NCM523 materials under different degradation states are characterized using scanning transmission electron microscopy(STEM).Then we developed a neural network model with a two-sequential attention block to recognize the crystal structure and locate defects in STEM images.The number of point defects in NCM523 is observed to experience a trend of increasing first and then decreasing in the degradation process.The space between the transition metal columns shrinks obviously,inducing dramatic capacity decay.This analysis sheds light on the defect evolution and chemical transformation correlated with layered material degradation.It also provides interesting hints for researchers to regenerate the electrochemical capacity and design better battery materials with longer life.Wuxin Sha Yaqing Guo Danpeng Cheng Qigao Han Ping Lou Minyuan Guan Shun Tang Xinfang Zhang Songfeng Lu Shijie Cheng Yuan-Cheng Cao 2022npj Computational Materials2022,,1:1
13Ultrathin,flexible,and oxidation-resistant MXene/graphene porous films for efficient electromagnetic interference shielding显示文摘Designing and fabricating efficient electromagnetic interference(EMI)shielding materials becomes a significant and urgent concern.Hence,a novel ultrathin,flexible,and oxidation-resistant MXene-based graphene(M-rGX)porous film is successfully fabricated by electrostatic self-assembly between MXene and graphene oxide(GO)nanosheets,and subsequently thermal annealing under hydrogen-argon atmosphere.The rapid breakaway of functional groups on GO and MXene sheets induces formation of porous conductive network in film,thereby facilitating efficient shielding for incident electromagnetic waves.The optimal absolute shielding effectiveness(SSE/t)value of 76,422 dB·cm2·g−1 can be achieved at a thinner thickness of 15μm.More importantly,the effective removal of functional groups on MXene conspicuously improves the oxidation resistance of the film,endowing it with an excellent durability(12 months)in EMI shielding performance.Xinwei Tang Jiangtao Luo Zhiwei Hu Shijie Lu Xiaoyi Liu Shuangshuang Li Xu Zhao Zihang Zhang Qianqian Lan Piming Ma Zicheng Wang Tianxi Liu 2023Nano Research2023,16,1:1
