| 1 | PTEN encoding product:a marker for tumorigenesis and progression of gastric carcinoma显示文摘AIM: To detect the expression of PTEN encoding productin normal mucosa, intestinal metaplasia (IM), dysplasia andcarcinoma of the stomach, and to investigate its clinicalimplication in tumorigenesis and progression of gastriccarcinoma.METHODS: Formalin-fixed paraffin embedded specimens from184 cases of gastric carcinoma, their adjacent normal mucosa,IM and dysplasia were evaluated for PTEN protein expressionby SABC immunohistochemistry. PTEN expression wascompared with tumor stage, lymph node metastasis, Lauren'sand WHO's histological classification of gastric carcinoma.Expression of VEGF was also detected in 60 cases of gastriccarcinoma and its correlation with PTEN was concerned.RESULTS: The positive rates of PTEN protein were 100 %(102/102), 98.5 %(65/66), 66.7 % (4/6) and 47.8 %(88/184)in normal mucosa, IM, dysplasia and carcinoma of the stomach,respectively. The positive rates in dysplasia and carcinomawere lower than in normal mucosa and IM (P<0.01).Advanced gastric cancers expressed less frequent PTEN thanearly gastric cancer (42.9 % v567.6 %, P<0.01). The positiverate of PTEN protein was lower in gastric cancer with thanwithout lymph node metastasis (40.3 % v563.3 %, P<0.01).PTEN was less expressed in diffuse-type than in intestinal-type gastric cancer (41.5 % v557.8 %,P<0.05). Signet ringcell carcinoma showed the expression of PTEN at the lowestlevel (25.0 %, 7/28); less than well and moderatelydifferentiated ones (P<0.01). Expression of PTEN was notcorrelated with expression of VEGF (P>0.05).CONCLUSION: Loss or reduced expression of PTEN proteinoccures commonly in tumorigenesis and progression of gastriccarcinoma. | 2 | Surgical treatment of nonfunctioning islet cell tumor: report of 41 cases显示文摘BACKGROUND: Nonfunctioning islet cell tumor (NIT)as a rare pancreatic endocrine neoplasm is characterized byunspecific clinical symptoms and is hard to diagnose. InChina, NIT accounts for 15%-41% in pancreatic endocrineneoplasms just next to insulinoma. In this study, weevaluated the surgical modalities of NIT.METHODS: From January 1978 through February 2002, 41patients with NIT were treated at the Department of Sur-gery of the First Affiliated Hospital, China Medical Univer-sity, Shenyang, China. Tumors in the head of the pancreaswere noted in 28 patients, and in the body or in the tail in13 patients. The mean diameter of the tumors was 10. 7cm. Fifteen patients underwent enucleation and 21 receivedpancreatectomy. Tumors were unresectable in 5 patientsbecause of extensive infiltration. The mean diameter was9.6 cm in patients treated by enucleation, 13.1 cm in thoseby pancreaticoduodenectomy, 9.9 cm in those by distalpancreatectomy, and 11.6 cm in those with unresectabletumors.RESULTS: The curative resection rate was 88% (n =36),and the complication rate after enucleation and pancreatec-tomy was 33% ( n = 5 ) and 14% (n=3), respectively. Nolocal recurrence was found after both enucleation and pan-createctomy. Liver metastases occurred in 3 patients treatedby enucleation.CONCLUSIONS: Both enucleation and pancreatectomy areeffective for NIT of the pancreas. No local recurrence hasbeen found in patients treated by the two surgical proce-dures. | 5 | Control allocation and management of redundant control effectors based on bases sequenced optimal method显示文摘For an advanced aircraft, the amount of its effectors is much more than that for a traditional one, the functions of effectors are more complex and the coupling between each other is more severe. Based on the current control allocation research, this paper puts forward the concept and framework of the control allocation and management system for aircrafts with redundancy con-trol effectors. A new optimal control allocation method, bases sequenced optimal (BSO) method, is then presented. By analyz-ing the physical meaning of the allocation process of BSO method, four types of management strategies are adopted by the system, which act on the control allocation process under different flight conditions, mission requirements and effectors work-ing conditions. | 7 | Deformation and recrystallization behavior of a Fe-20Mn-3Si-3Al-0.045C steel under cold-rolling显示文摘The influence of cold rolling reduction on microstructure and mechanical properties of the twinning induced plasticity(TWIP) steel with a chemical composition of Fe-20Mn-3Si-3Al-0.045 C has been investigated.Tensile tests were carried out to explore the mechanical properties of TWIP steel with different cold rolling reductions.The microstructures were observed by optical microscopy and transmission electron microscopy(TEM).The misorientation and the development of recrystallization texture in TWIP steel sheets were investigated by Electron Back Scatter Diffraction(EBSD) technique.The results indicated that the steel exhibited attractively mechanical properties when cold rolling reduction was about 10%.The tensile strength of the steel with a rolling reduction of 10%is higher than 900 MPa and the yield strength is about 800 MPa,while the elongation is above 35%.The microstructure is composed of austenitic matrix and deformation twins at room temperature,at the same time,a significant amount of deformation twins,stacking faults and dislocations are observed by TEM.TEM observations showed the presence of deformation twinning in the sample at low rolling reduction.As the strain increases the volume fraction of twins increases.Mechanical twins play a dominant role during deformation and result in excellent mechanical properties for the investigated steel.By TEM observation,the possible deformation mechanisms can be suggested as:with the increasing strain,formation of the twin will gradually play a more important role during deformation.The interaction between twins and dislocations enhances the strain hardening rate in the sample.Consequently,the necking is delayed and a good ductility is obtained.Twins were always observed in the region with high density of dislocation and faults,suggesting that the interaction among blocked dislocations and faults as well as deformation twins promote the increase in material strength.EBSD observation showed that the textures has evolved according to the following trend:the brass orientation {110}〈112〉and Goss orientation {110}〈001〉are dominant at every strain level,those intensities increase with increasing strain,while with the increase of the strain level,the change of S orientation {123}〈634〉was not obviously. | SHEN Yongfeng~(1)),HUANG Shaoshuai~(1)),ZHANG Rongxing~(1)),XUE Wenying~(2)) and HE Tong~(3)) 1) Key Laboratory for Anisotropy and Texture of Materials(Ministry of Education), Northeastern University,Shenyang 110004,Liaoning,China 2) The State Key Lab of Rolling & Automation,Northeastern University,Shenyang 110004, Liaoning,China 3) Institute of Research,Northeastern University,Shenyang 110004,Liaoning,China | 2010 | Baosteel Technical Research2010,4,S1: | 2 |
