2Geological factors controlling deep geothermal anomalies in the Qianjiaying Mine,China显示文摘Here,the geological factors controlling deep geothermal anomalies in mines were studied based on the geotemperature,lithologic thermal conductivity,and related geological data collected from the Qianjiaying Mine,China.A simulation of the change in magma waste heat,conducted using the ANSYS Workbench,revealed the distribution characteristics of geothermal anomalies in this mine and the corresponding geological control factors.The results revealed the following points.(1)First-degree heat hazard level(temperature=31-37℃)occurred in the central and southwestern parts of the mine at an^600-m depth,while second-degree heat hazard level(temperature≥37℃)occurred at an^800-m depth.The geotemperature and geothermal gradient in the southwestern part of the mine were anomalously high.(2)The geotemperatures measured in the mine generally reflected a standard increase with depth,while the geothermal gradient remained unchanged with depth.The geothermal gradient and its average value in the study area were 0.70-4.23 and 2.12C·hm^-1,respectively.(3)A combination of stratum characteristics,geological structure,and groundwater characteristics led to geothermal anomalies in mines;additionally,the waste heat from magma had no significant effect on the geothermal field.Wenbin Yang Shengbo Han Wu Li 2020International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2020,30,6:5
3Adsorption and mechanistic study of the invasive plant-derived biochar functionalized with CaAl-LDH for Eu(Ⅲ) in water显示文摘Herein,we developed the invasive plant-derived biochar (IPB) functionalized with CaAl-LDH at five mass ratios using a physical mixture method,assessed their adsorption perform for Eu(Ⅲ),and explored the relative mechanisms.Results show that the IPB successfully loaded CaAl-LDH in five composites and their Eu(Ⅲ) sorption affinities were strongly affected by solution p H,contact time,temperature,and the mass ratio of LDH and IPB.All the sorpiton process for Eu(Ⅲ) occurred on the heterogeneous surface of five composites and the boundary layer diffusion limited the chemical sorption rate.Interestingly,the CaAl-LDH/IPB composite with high ratio of IPB had higher sorption capacity than the one with high ratio of LDH due to larger porosity of the former.Three mechanisms containing ion exchange between Al and Eu ions,surface complexation with carboxyl-and oxygen-containing functional groups,and precipitation were involved in the Eu(Ⅲ) sorption,but the dominant sorption mechanism for each CaAl-LDH/IPB composite differed with different mass ratio of CaAl-LDH and IPB.In composite with more IPB (e.g.,CaAl-LDH/IPB-13),both ion exchange and surface complexes dominated the sorption process and the intensity of Eu^3+ was identified with the one of Eu2O3.Whereas in composites with high LDH,ion exchange dominated the sorption and the intensity of Eu^3+ was obviously higher than the one of Eu_2O_3.This research will provide a new perspective for the application of the LDH/biochar materials.Shengbo Li Lijia Dong Zuofu Wei Guodong Sheng Kui Du Baowei Hu 2020Journal of Environmental Sciences2020,32,10:5

6In situ fabrication of organic electrochemical transistors on a microfluidic chip显示文摘Microfluid chips integrating with organic electrochemical transistors (OECTs) are useful for manufacturing biosensors with high throughput and large-scale analyses. We report here the utilization of alternating current (AC) electrodeposition to fabricate OECTs in situ on a microfiuid chip. With this method, the organic semiconductor (OS) layer with a channel length of 8μm was readily prepared without requiring the postbonding process in the conventional construction of microfluidic chips. Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(4-styrenesulfonate)/graphene quantum dots (PEDOT:PSS/GQDs) composites with different morphologies, such as microfilms, nanodendrites and nanowires were electropolymerized. The mass transfer process of the electropolymerization reaction was evidenced to be diffusion limited. Morphologies, growth directions, and chemical structures of OS layers could be tuned by the amplitude and the frequency of the AC voltage. Transfer and output characteristic curves of OECTs were measured on the microfluidic chip. 7Japanese Encephalitis Virus NS1' Protein Antagonizes Interferon Beta Production显示文摘Japanese encephalitis virus(JEV) is a mosquito-borne virus and the major cause of viral encephalitis in Asia. NS1', a52-amino acid C-terminal extension of NS1, is generated with a-1 programmed ribosomal frameshift and is only present in members of the Japanese encephalitis serogroup of flaviviruses. Previous studies demonstrated that NS1' plays a vital role in virulence, but the mechanism is unclear. In this study, an NS1' defected(rG66A) virus was generated. We found that rG66A virus was less virulent than its parent virus(pSA14) in wild-type mice. However, similar mortality caused by the two viruses was observed in an IFNAR knockout mouse model. Moreover, we found that rG66A virus induced a greater type Ⅰ interferon(IFN) response than that by pSA14, and JEV NS1' significantly inhibited the production of IFN-b and IFN-stimulated genes. 9Research on the Development of China’s International Cooperation Parks Along the Belt and Road: Status Quo, Effect, and Trend显示文摘This paper predicts the future development trend of China’s International Cooperation Parks(ICPs) along the Belt and Road by systematically summarizing the current situation and the effect they exert.Relevant research shows that these ICPs have not only promoted China’s industrial capacity cooperation and international industrial transfer, but also contributed to resource sharing between China and the countries along the Belt and Road.In addition, the ICPs play a positive role in further advancing social development of host countries and bilateral cooperation.Research also indicates that the development of ICPs, influenced by both a Chinese domestic 'pushing force' and a foreign 'pulling force,' is a result jointly produced by political, economic, diplomatic, and cultural factors.As ICPs are built in increasingly more countries along the Belt and Road and their leading industries tend to be more diverse, the environment and infrastructure in host countries would be improved and the importance of Chinese private enterprises would be further enhanced.In addition, ICPs will also further promote the development of local industrial parks.What should also be noted is that problems like an unbalanced layout, irrational planning, and lack of planning standards still exist in the ICPs, thus solutions and strategies for resolving these problems are proposed in the paper.Zhao Shengbo Wang Xingping Hu Xuefeng Li Min(译) 2019China City Planning Review2019,28,2:2

11A framework for rapid on-board deterministic estimation of occupant injury risk in motor vehicle crashes with quantitative uncertainty evaluation显示文摘Accurate on-board occupant injury risk prediction of motor vehicle crashes(MVCs)can decrease fatality rates by providing critical information timely and improving injury severity triage rates.The present implemented prediction algorithms in vehicle safety systems are probabilistic and rely on multi-variate logistic regression of real-world vehicle collision databases.As a result,they do not utilize important vehicle and occupant features and tend to overgeneralize the solution space.This study presents a framework to address these problems with deterministic and computationally efficient lumped parameter model simulations driven by a database of vehicle crash tests.A 648-case mixed database was generated with finite element and multi-body models and validated under the principal directions of impact with experimental results for a single vehicle body type.Using the finite element database,we developed lumped parameter models for four principal modes of impact(i.e.,frontal,rear,near side and far side)with parameters identified via genetic algorithm optimization.To obtain confidence bounds for the injury risk prediction,the parameter uncertainty and model adequacy were evaluated with arbitrary and bootstrapped polynomial chaos expansion.The developed algorithm was able to achieve over triage rates of 17.1%±8.5%,whilst keeping the under triage rates below 8%on a finite element-multi body model database of a single vehicle body type.This study demonstrated the feasibility and importance of using low-complexity deterministic models with uncertainty quantification in enhanced occupant injury risk prediction.Further research is required to evaluate the effectiveness of this framework under a wide range of vehicle types.With the flexibility of parameter adjustment and high computational efficiency,the present framework is generic in nature so as to maximize future applicability in improved on-board triage decision making in active safety systems.BANCE Iason YANG SaiChao ZHOU Qing LI ShengBo NIE BingBing 2021Science China(Technological Sciences)2021,64,3:2
12PD1^+CCR2^+CD8^+T Cells Infiltrate the Central Nervous System during Acute Japanese Encephalitis Virus Infection显示文摘Japanese encephalitis(JE)is a viral encephalitis disease caused by Japanese encephalitis virus(JEV)infection.Uncontrolled inflammatory responses in the central nervous system(CNS)are a hallmark of severe JE.Although the CCR2-CCL2 axis is important for monocytes trafficking during JEV infection,little is known about its role in CNS trafficking of CD8^+T cells.Here,we characterized a mouse model of JEV infection,induced via intravenous injection(i.v.)and delineated the chemokines and infiltrating peripheral immune cells in the brains of infected mice.The CNS expression of chemokines,Ccl2,Ccl3,and Ccl5,and their receptors,Ccr2 or Ccr5.was significantly up-regulated after JEV infection and was associated with the degree of JE pathogenesis.Moreover,JEV infection resulted in the migration of a large number of CD8^+T cells into the CNS.In the brains of JEV-infected mice,infiltrating CD8^+T cells expressed CCR2 and CCR5 and were found to comprise mainly effector T cells(CD44^+CD62L_).JEV infection dramatically enhanced the expression of programmed death 1(PD-1)on infiltrating CD8^+T cells in the brain,as compared to that on peripheral CD8^+T cells in the spleen.This effect was more pronounced on infiltrating CCR2^+CD8^+T cells than on CCR2-CD8^+T cells.In conclusion,we identified a new subset of CD8^+T cells(PD1^+CCR2^+CD8^+T cells)present in the CNS of mice during acute JEV infection.These CD8^+T cells might play a role in JE pathogenesis.Fang Zhang Linlin Qi Tong Li Xiaojing Li Dan Yang Shengbo Cao Jing Ye Bin Wei 2019Virologica Sinica2019,34,5:2
13Mesenchymal stem cells loaded on 3D-printed gradient poly(e-caprolactone)/methacrylated alginate composite scaffolds for cartilage tissue engineering显示文摘Cartilage has limited self-repair ability due to its avascular,alymphatic and aneural features.The combination of three-dimensional(3D)printing and tissue engineering provides an up-and-coming approach to address this issue.Here,we designed and fabricated a tri-layered(superficial layer(SL),middle layer(ML)and deep layer(DL))stratified scaffold,inspired by the architecture of collagen fibers in native cartilage tissue.The scaffold was composed of 3D printed depth-dependent gradient poly(e-caprolactone)(PCL)impregnated with methacrylated alginate(ALMA),and its morphological analysis and mechanical properties were tested.To prove the feasibility of the composite scaffolds for cartilage regeneration,the viability,proliferation,collagen deposition and chondrogenic differentiation of embedded rat bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs)in the scaffolds were assessed by Live/dead assay,CCK-8,DNA content,cell morphology,immunofluorescence and real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction.BMSCs-loaded gradient PCL/ALMA scaffolds showed excellent cell survival,cell proliferation,cell morphology,collagen II deposition and hopeful chondrogenic differentiation compared with three individual-layer scaffolds.Hence,our study demonstrates the potential use of the gradient PCL/ALMA construct for enhanced cartilage tissue engineering.Yanyan Cao Peng Cheng Shengbo Sang Chuan Xiang Yang An Xiaochun Wei Zhizhong Shen Yixia Zhang Pengcui Li 2021Regenerative Biomaterials2021,8,3:2
14Spatio-temporal Characteristics of Area Coverage and Observation Geometry of the MISR Land-surface BRF Product: A Case Study of the Central Part of Northeast Asia显示文摘The Multi-angle imaging spectroradiometer(MISR) land-surface(LS) bidirectional reflectance factor(BRF) product(MILS_BRF) has unique semi-simultaneous multi-angle sampling and global coverage. However, unlike on-satellite observations, the spatio-temporal characteristics of MILS_BRF data have rarely been explicitly and comprehensively analysed. Results from 5-yr(2011–2015) of MILS_BRF dataset from a typical region in central Northeast Asia as the study area showed that the monthly area coverage as well as MILS_BRF data quantity varies significantly, from the highest in October(99.05%) through median in June/July(78.09%/75.21%) to lowest in January(18.97%), and a large data-vacant area exists in the study area during four consecutive winter months(December through March). The data-vacant area is mainly composed of crop lands and cropland/natural vegetation mosaic. The amount of data within the principal plane(PP)±30°(nPP) or cross PP ±30°(nCP), varies intra-annually with significant differences from different view zeniths or forward/backward scattering directions. For example, multiple off-nadir cameras have nPP but no nCP data for up to six months(September through February), with the opposite occurring in June and July. This study provides explicit and comprehensive information about the spatio-temporal characteristics of product coverage and observation geometry of MILS_BRF in the study area. Results provide required user reference information for MILS_BRF to evaluate performance of BRDF models or to compare with other satellite-derived BRF or albedo products.
