| 1 | A kind of coccoid dinoflagel-lates-like fossils gives a new explanation of source of dinosterane in the Early-Middle Cambrian显示文摘The coccoid fossils covered with thick gelatinous envelop containing several gametes are discovered in gyps and salt deposits of Cambrian, H4 well and chert bed of the base of Yuertus Formation (∈11) of Xiaoerbulake Section. The fossils are described and compared with coccoid dinoflagellates. These fossils may be a coccoid life-cycle stage (vegetative cyst) of coccoid dinoflagellates. | 2 | Low-temperature Synthesis of Large-area Films of Molybdenum Trioxide Microbelts in Air and the Dependence of Their Field Emission Performance on Growth Conditions显示文摘A simple method is introduced for the preparation of large-area films of molybdenum trioxide (MoO3) microbelts. It is found that such films can be grown on indium tin oxide (ITO) glasses or silicon substrates at low temperatures by thermal evaporation deposition in air without using catalyst. Field emission measurements show that the turn-on field of the MoO3 microbelts is as low as 2.2 V/μm required to obtain a current density of 10 μA/cm2. | 3 | Enhanced Performance of a Monolayer MoS_2/WSe_2 Heterojunction as a Photoelectrochemical Cathode显示文摘Transition-metal dichalcogenide(TMD) semiconductors have attracted interest as photoelectrochemical(PEC) electrodes due to their novel band-gap structures,optoelectronic properties, and photocatalytic activities.However, the photo-harvesting efficiency still requires improvement. In this study, A TMD stacked heterojunction structure was adopted to further enhance the performance of the PEC cathode. A P-type WSe_2 and an N-type Mo S_2 monolayer were stacked layer-by-layer to build a ultrathin vertical heterojunction using a micro-fabrication method.In situ measurement was employed to characterize the intrinsic PEC performance on a single-sheet heterostructure.Benefitting from its built-in electric field and type II band alignment, the MoS_2/WSe_2 bilayer heterojunction exhibited exceptional photocatalytic activity and a high incident photo-to-current conversion efficiency(IPCE). Comparing with the monolayer WSe_2 cathode, the PEC current and the IPCE of the bilayer heterojunction increased by a factor of 5.6 and enhanced 50%, respectively. | 7 | Optimization study on the rehydration process of lyophilized human platelets显示文摘Long-term preservation of human platelets will greatly reduce the risk of their shortage. Lyophilization has been proved feasible for this purpose. For the recovery of lyophilized platelets,rehydration is an important process. In this paper,the rehydration proc-esses for 1 mL and 2 mL samples were studied. The effects of prehydration duration(15,30,60,90,120 and 150 min) in 37°C water vapor and the concentration of rehydration solution(25%,50%,75%,100% platelet-poor plasma) on the recovery rate,MPV(mean platelet volume) and PDW(platelet distribution width) were investigated. The mass changes during the prehydration process were weighed. The optimized rehydration conditions are as follows:(1) for 1 mL sample,the prehydration duration was 15 min and for 2 mL sample the prehydration duration was 90 min;(2) the rehydration solution was 75% platelet-poor plasma. Under optimized conditions,the morphology of the rehydrated platelets kept normal and their ultrastructures kept intact,their aggregation capacity to thrombin(1 U/mL) was 82.8% of the fresh ones. | 13 | Molybdenum Nanoscrews:A Novel Non-coinage-Metal Substrate for Surface-Enhanced Raman Scattering显示文摘For the first time, Mo nanoscrew was cultivated as a novel non-coinage-metal substrate for surface-enhanced Raman scattering(SERS). It was found that the nanoscrew is composed of many small screw threads stacking along its length direction with small separations. Under external light excitation, strong electromagnetic coupling was initiated within the gaps, and many hot-spots formed on the surface of the nanoscrew, which was confirmed by high-resolution scanning near-field optical microscope measurements and numerical simulations using finite element method. These hotspots are responsible for the observed SERS activity of the nanoscrews. Raman mapping characterizations further revealed the excellent reproducibility of the SERS activity.
