2An overview on biochar production, its implications, and mechanisms of biochar-induced amelioration of soil and plant characteristics显示文摘The degradation of soil fertility and quality due to rapid industrialization and human activities has stimulated interest in the rehabilitation of low-fertility soils to sustainably improve crop yield. In this regard, biochar has emerged as an effective multi-beneficial additive that can be used as a medium for the amelioration of soil properties and plant growth. The current review highlights the methods and conditions for biochar production and the effects of pyrolysis temperature, feedstock type, and retention time on the physicochemical properties of biochar. We also discuss the impact of biochar as a soil amendment with respect to enhancing soil physical (e.g., surface area, porosity, ion exchange, and water-holding capacity) and chemical (e.g., pH, nutrient exchange,functional groups, and carbon sequestration) properties, improving the soil microbiome for increased plant nutrient uptake and growth, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, minimizing infectious diseases in plants, and facilitating the remediation of heavy metal-contaminated soils. The possible mechanisms for biochar-induced amelioration of soil and plant characteristics are also described, and we consider the challenges associated with biochar utilization. The findings discussed in this review support the feasibility of expending the application of biochar to improve degraded soils in industrial and saline-alkali regions, thereby increasing the usable amount of cultivated soil. 3Weed growth, herbicide efficacy, and rice productivity in dry seeded paddy field under different wheat stubble management methods显示文摘To ascertain the influence of wheat stubble management options and chemical weed control methods on weed growth and productivity of dry direct-seeded fine rice, a two years' field study was undertaken at the Agronomic Research Farm, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, Pakistan in 2013 and 2014. Different wheat stubble management methods, viz., incorporation, burning and retention were executed during seed-bed preparation. While, herbicide treatments comprised of a weed check, weed free, pendimethalin followed by tank mixture of fenoxaprop p-ethyl+ethoxysulfuron ethyl, and bispyribac sodium followed by tank mixture of fenoxaprop p-ethyl+ethoxysulfuron ethyl. Results revealed that weed control efficacy of both herbicide treatments ranged from 84 to 94%. Herbicide treatments significantly reduced weed density(88–90%) and dry weight(86–88%), while improved the rice growth attributes compared with weed check. Application of bispyribac sodium followed by tank mixture of fenoxaprop p-ethyl+ethoxysulfuron ethyl in stubble retention recorded 226 and 273% increase in kernel yield over weedy check in 2013 and 2014, respectively. In stubble incorporation, pendimethalin followed by tank mixture of fenoxaprop p-ethyl+ethoxysulfuron ethyl was more effective in increasing(256–293%) rice yields over weedy check. Among different treatment combinations, the maximum net benefits(1 397.49^(–1) 472.22 USD ha^(–1)), net returns(636–700 USD ha^(–1)), benefit cost ratio(1.77^(–1).83) and marginal rate of return(2 187–2 330%) were recorded with the application of bispyribac sodium followed by fenoxaprop p-ethyl+ethoxysulfuron ethyl in stubble retention. 4A Secure NDN Framework for Internet of Things Enabled Healthcare显示文摘Healthcare is a binding domain for the Internet of Things(IoT)to automate healthcare services for sharing and accumulation patient records at anytime from anywhere through the Internet.The current IP-based Internet architecture suffers from latency,mobility,location dependency,and security.The Named Data Networking(NDN)has been projected as a future internet architecture to cope with the limitations of IP-based Internet.However,the NDN infrastructure does not have a secure framework for IoT healthcare information.In this paper,we proposed a secure NDN framework for IoTenabled Healthcare(IoTEH).In the proposed work,we adopt the services of Identity-Based Signcryption(IBS)cryptography under the security hardness Hyperelliptic Curve Cryptosystem(HCC)to secure the IoTEH information in NDN.The HCC provides the corresponding level of security using minimal computational and communicational resources as compared to bilinear pairing and Elliptic Curve Cryptosystem(ECC).For the efficiency of the proposed scheme,we simulated the security of the proposed solution using Automated Validation of Internet Security Protocols and Applications(AVISPA).Besides,we deployed the proposed scheme on the IoTEH in NDN infrastructure and compared it with the recent IBS schemes in terms of computation and communication overheads.The simulation results showed the superiority and improvement of the proposed framework against contemporary related works.Syed Sajid Ullah Saddam Hussain Abdu Gumaei Hussain AlSalman 2021Computers, Materials & Continua2021,,4:1

6A New Generalized Weibull Model:Classical and Bayesian Estimation显示文摘Statistical distributions play a prominent role in applied sciences,particularly in biomedical sciences.The medical data sets are generally skewed to the right,and skewed distributions can be used quite effectively to model such kind of data sets.In the present study,therefore,we propose a new family of distributions suitable for modeling right-skewed medical data sets.The proposed family may be called a new generalized-X family.A special sub-model of the proposed family called a new generalized-Weibull distribution is discussed in detail.The maximum likelihood estimators of the model parameters are obtained.A brief Monte Carlo simulation study is conducted to evaluate the performance of these estimators.Finally,the proposed model is applied to the remission times of the stomach cancer patient’s data.The comparison of the goodness of fit results of the proposed model is made with the other competing models such as Weibull,Kumaraswamy Weibull,and exponentiated Weibull distributions.Certain analytical measures such as Akaike information criterion,Bayesian information criterion,Anderson Darling statistic,and Kolmogorov-Smirnov test statistic are considered to show which distribution provides the best fit to data.Based on these measures,it is showed that the proposed distribution is a reasonable candidate for modeling data in medical sciences and other related fields.Mi Zichuan Saddam Hussain Zubair Ahmad Omid Kharazmi Zahra Almaspoor 2021Computer Systems Science & Engineering2021,38,7:0

8Morphological Variations,Distribution and Population Estimation of Indian Spiny Tailed Liza rd(Uromastyx hardwickii Gray,1827)from District Bahawalnagar,Punjab,Pakistan显示文摘This study was conducted in selected sites of District Bahawalnagar namely,Shaheed Chowk,Chak40/F,Chak 163/7 R and Fareedkot Tiba between March 2019 and August 2019.Sampling techniques included recording of burrows,flooding,burrow exaction,noose traps and pit fall traps were used to capture Uromast yx hardwickii.During this survey150 individuals were captured from study area for morphological measurement and population estimation.The average snout to vent length(SVL)of male,female and juveniles were(172.50±19.71)mm,(155.50±18.72)mm and(86.25±11.72)mm respectively.The average weight of male,female and juvenile was(93.06±8.56)g,(88.16±7.95)g and(40.16±4.30)g respectively.The relative abundance(Pi)of males,females and juveniles were 0.53,0.33 and 0.13.Indian spiny tailed lizard(U.hardwickii)has been listed in the IUCN Red list and CITES.Major threats to the species in the study area are increase in urbanization,habitat fragmentation,illegal hunting for meat and fat.In this regard strict implementation of the Wildlife act is needed to protect the wildlife of Punjab.Furthermore,comprehensive surveys are required in throughout Punjab to declare conservation status of U.hardwickii.Waqas ALI Arshad JAVID Saddam HUSSAIN Ali HUSSAIN Syed Mohsin BUKHARI 2020Asian Herpetological Research2020,11,3:0
9A Cost-Effective Approach for NDN-Based Internet of Medical Things Deployment显示文摘Nowadays,healthcare has become an important area for the Internet of Things(IoT)to automate healthcare facilities to share and use patient data anytime and anywhere with Internet services.At present,the host-based Internet paradigm is used for sharing and accessing healthcare-related data.However,due to the location-dependent nature,it suffers from latency,mobility,and security.For this purpose,Named Data Networking(NDN)has been recommended as the future Internet paradigm to cover the shortcomings of the traditional host-based Internet paradigm.Unfortunately,the novel breed lacks a secure framework for healthcare.This article constructs an NDN-Based Internet of Medical Things(NDN-IoMT)framework using a lightweight certificateless(CLC)signature.We adopt the Hyperelliptic Curve Cryptosystem(HCC)to reduce cost,which provides strong security using a smaller key size compared to Elliptic Curve Cryptosystem(ECC).Furthermore,we validate the safety of the proposed scheme through AVISPA.For cost-efficiency,we compare the designed scheme with relevant certificateless signature schemes.The final result shows that our proposed scheme uses minimal network resources.Lastly,we deploy the given framework on NDN-IoMT.Syed Sajid Ullah Saddam Hussain Abdu Gumaei Mohsin SAlhilal Bader Fahad Alkhamees Mueen Uddin Mabrook Al-Rakhami 2022Computers, Materials & Continua2022,,1:0
10荞麦洁净式脱粒装置设计与仿真显示文摘针对传统荞麦脱粒装置--纹杆闭式切流脱粒滚筒装置脱粒过程中籽粒残留和杂质含量高的问题,开展了洁净系统设计研究。该系统包括2个风速入口,每个风速入口由与纹杆脱粒滚筒方向相同的长820 mm、直径27 mm的小型管道构成,每根小型管道上方开有直径12 mm、间隔6 mm的圆孔,用来清理脱粒装置中的残留籽粒。采用ANSYS Fluid Flow(Fluent)流体动力学仿真技术对纹杆闭式切流脱粒装置风场进行模拟仿真。结果表明,当2个入口同时工作并采用12和15 m/s的风速时,清选风速约等于荞麦籽粒的漂浮速度临界值,在此状况下增大风速入口面积,脱粒滚筒和棚格凹板之间的流场速度为3.8~8.3 m/s,大于荞麦籽粒的漂浮速度,棚格凹板下方的流场速度为7~15m/s,且流场内负压减少,是最佳方案。王浩 霸欣艺 郑德聪 HUSSAIN Saddam 王贺 宋海燕 2021农业工程2021,11,9:0
11Supportive tactics for innovative and sustainability performance in emerging SMEs显示文摘For this research,we examined the influence of access to domestic and international financing on sustainability performance with a mediating role of innovative performance and a moderating role of access to government support.Data were collected from 317 small and medium-sized enterprises(SMEs)through structured questionnaires.The results indicated that access to domestic and international financing significantly contributes to sustainability and innovative performances.Accordingly,we found a partial mediating role of innovative performance between access to domestic financing and sustainability performance as well as between access to international financing and sustainability performance.Access to government support significantly moderates the relationship between access to domestic finances and innovative performance as well as between access to international finances and innovative performance.Practitioners and policymakers should encourage national and international financial institutions and banks to facilitate SMEs by lending them funds for innovative activities and sustainability performance.Moreover,the government should support SMEs,so that they can contribute to economic growth and the gross domestic product.The implications from these matters will be further discussed in this paper.Farid Ullah Ma Degong Muhammad Anwar Saddam Hussain Rizwan Ullah 2021Financial Innovation2021,7,1:0
