1Zebrafish model for assessing induced organ toxicity by Strychnos nux-vomica显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To assess the acute organ toxicity of Strychnos nux-vomica with zebrafish model visually.METHODS:To assess acute toxicity,we initially determined the lethal concentration after Strychnos nux-vomica treatment for 24 h.Zebrafish was treated with five concentrations Strychnos nux-≦vo LC10 for 24 h,and the effects ofmica on morphology,function of heart,central nervous system,liver,kidney and organ-specific cell death were assessed.Next,we assessed the reversibility of toxic effect.RESULTS:Strychnos nux-vomica has an effect on the different organs of zebrafish,including heart,central nervous system,liver,and kidney,and cadiotoxicity induced by Strychnos nux-vomica was reversible to some extent.CONCLUSION:Zebrafish model is suitable for confirming the toxic target organs for Chinese traditional medicine.Zhao Chongjun Tian Jinghuan Wang Jinfeng Feng Yaru Ni Yuanyuan Fan Jiaojiao Wang Chunmei Cao Dan Zou Qinwen Ma Zhiqiang Lin Ruichao 2016Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2016,36,4:9
2Numerical simulation of particle flow behavior in a screw conveyor using the discrete element method显示文摘Particle motion in a screw conveyor was simulated w让h the discrete element method. The particle flow behavior and transport processes at different screw rotating speeds and filling levels were investigated in this study. The spatial distributions of particle velocity were predicted. The predicted mass flow rate increased w让h increasing screw rotating speed and filling level. The contact forces and granular temperatures of particles were also calculated. The simulation results showed that the translational granular particle temperatures were higher than the rotational granular particle temperatures. In add让ion, the configurational temperatures of particles were calculated from simulated instantaneous particle overlaps, and results indicated that deformation of elastic particles contributed to the rate of energy dissipation. 3Tracking structural evolution: operando regenerative CeO_(x)/Bi interface structure for high-performance CO_(2) electroreduction显示文摘Unveiling the structural evolution and working mechanism of catalysts under realistic operating conditions is crucial for the design of efficient electrocatalysts for CO_(2) electroreduction,yet remains highly challenging.Here,by virtue of operando structural measurements at multiscale levels,it is identified under CO_(2) electroreduction conditions that an as-prepared CeO_(2)/BiOCl precatalyst gradually evolves into CeO_(x)/Bi interface structure with enriched Ce^(3+) species,which serves as the real catalytically active phase.The derived CeO_(x)/Bi interface structure compared to pure Bi counterpart delivers substantially enhanced performance with a formate Faradaic efficiency approaching 90%for 24 hours in a wide potential window.The formate Faradaic efficiency can be further increased by using isotope D_(2)O instead of H_(2)O.Density functional theory calculations suggest that the regenerative CeO_(x)/Bi interfacial sites can not only promote water activation to increase local ∗H species for CO_(2) protonation appropriately,but also stabilize the key intermediate ∗OCHO in formate pathway.Ruichao Pang Pengfei Tian Hongliang Jiang Minghui Zhu Xiaozhi Su Yu Wang Xiaoling Yang Yihua Zhu Li Song Chunzhong Li 2021National Science Review2021,8,7:0
