5Effect of Sinai San decoction on the development of non-alcoholic steatohepatitis in rats显示文摘AIM: To explore the effect of Sinai san decoction on the development of non-alcoholic steatohepatitis induced by CCL4 combined with a fat-rich diet in rats.METHODS: Twenty-seven Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into three groups randomly: control group (n = 9),model group (n = 9) and treatment group (n = 9). The rats of model group and treatment group were given small dosage of CCL4 combined with a fat-rich diet, andthose of control group were given normal diet. After four weeks of fat-rich diet feeding, the rats of treatment group were given Sinai san decoction. The serum levels of aminotransferase and lipid were measured, and the pathology of livers was observed by HE staining after the rats were sacrificed at eight weeks.RESULTS: The rats' livers presented the pathology of steatosis and inflammation with higher serum levels of ALT and AST in the model group. In the treatment group the serum ALT and AST levels decreased significantly and were close to the control group. The hepatic inflammation scores also decreased markedly, but were still higher than those of control group. And the degree of hepatocyte steatosis was similar to that of model group.CONCLUSION: Sinai san decoction may ameliorate the hepatic inflammation of rats with steatohepatitis induced by small dosage of CCL4 combined with a fat-rich diet,but does not prevent the development of hepatocyte steatosis.QiZhang YanZhao Deng-BenZhang Li-JunSun 2005World Journal of Gastroenterology2005,11,9:6
6Study on S-shaped characteristic of Francis reversible unit by on-site test and CFD simulation显示文摘The operation parameters (vibration, shaft displacement and pressure fluctuation) of No. 1 Francis reversible unit of Baoquan pumped-storage power station were measured on site in the no-load mode at net heads of 518.04, 522.01 and 530.38 m, respectively. The rotational speed fluctuations in the no-load mode at three net heads were beyond synchronization requirement with obvious S-shaped characteristic, and misaligned guide vanes (MGV) had to be put into use for synchronization. Further analysis demonstrated that the rotating frequency signal was generally dominant in vibration and shaft displacement mixing signal in the no-load mode, while the frequency domain was wide without an obvious main frequency in pressure fluctuation mixing signal. Besides, the SST k-ω turbulence model was adopted to simulate the four quadrant characteristic curves of Baoquan model pump-turbine at three gate openings, and the relative error between simulation results and model test data was within ±6%, indicating that the simulation method in this paper is feasible and S-shaped characteristic of the pump-turbine can be simulated with CFD method.LI JinWei HU QingJuan YU JiXing LI QiZhang 2013Science China(Technological Sciences)2013,56,9:5
7An investigation of the effects of dust storms on rat lung using HRCT and blood gas analysis显示文摘The increasing intensity and frequency of sand-dust storms in China has led to greater prominence of associated environmental and health issues. Many studies have focused on the health effects of air particulate contaminants, but few formal investigations have studied the effects of sand-dust storms on human and animal health. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of dust storms on rat lung by using high resolution computed tomography(HRCT) and blood gas analysis through a wind tunnel simulating. We found that the rat lung damage effects can be detected by the HRCT imaging after exposure to sand-dust storm environments, but had no obvious result through blood gas analysis. Exposure durations positively correlated with the damage degree to lung tissue. 8A new class of high-entropy M_(3)B_(4) borides显示文摘A new class of high-entropy M3B4 borides of the Ta_(3)B_(4)-prototyped orthorhombic structure has been synthesized in the bulk form for the first time.Specimens with compositions of(V0.2Cr0.2Nb0.2Mo0.2Ta0.2)3B4 and(V0.2Cr0.2Nb0.2Ta0.2W0.2)_(3)B_(4) were fabricated via reactive spark plasma sintering of high-energy-ball-milled elemental boron and metal precursors.The sintered specimens were〜98.7%in relative densities with virtually no oxide contamination,albeit the presence of minor(4-5 vol%)secondary high-entropy M5B6 phases.Despite that Mo_(3)B_(4) or W_(3)B_(4) are not stable phase,20%of M03B4 and W3B4 can be stabilized into the high-entropy M3B4 borides.Vickers hardness was measured to be 18.6 and 19.8 GPa at a standard load of 9.8 N.This work has further expanded the family of different structures of high-entropy ceramics reported to date.Mingde QIN Qizhang YAN Yi LIU Jian LUO 2021Journal of Advanced Ceramics2021,10,1:4
9LiPO_(2)F_(2) electrolyte additive for high-performance Li-rich cathode material显示文摘Li-rich layered oxide cathodes have received considerable attention because of the high operating potential and specific capacity. However, the structural instability and parasitic reactions at high potential cause severe degradation of the electrochemical performance. In our studies, the cycling stability of Li_(1.14)Ni_(0.133)Co_(0.133)Mn_(0.544)O_(2) cathode is improved with LiPO_(2)F_(2) electrolyte additive. After 500 cycles, the capacity retention is increased from 53.6% to 85% at 3 C by LiPO_(2)F_(2) modification. This performance is mainly attributed to the enhanced interfacial stability of the Li-rich cathode. Based on systematic characterization, LiPO_(2)F_(2) additive was found to promote a stable interface film on the cathode surface during the cycling and mitigates the interfacial side reactions. 10Effects of melatonin on wortmannin-induced tau hyperphosphorylation显示文摘Aim: To explore the underlying mechanism of tau hyperphosphorylation in an Alzheimer's-affected brain and the possible arresting strategies. Methods: MTT (3-[4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl]-2,5-diphenyl-tetrazolium bromide), crystal violet assay,phase-contrast, dead end colorimetric apoptosis detection system (TUNEL) and electron microscopy were used to detect cell viability, morphology and apoptosis.Western blot, ^32P-labeling and the detection of malondialdehyde level and superoxide dismutase activity were used respectively for the phosphorylation level of tau, the activity of glycogen synthase kinase (GSK-3), and oxidative stress measurement. Results: Exposure of the cells to wortmannin resulted in an obvious lipid peroxidation, reduction of cell viability, cell process retraction, and plasma vacuolation, but with no obvious cell apoptosis. We also found that preincubation of the cells with melatonin or vitamin E attenuated differentially wortmannininduced oxidative stress as well as GSK-3 overactivation and tau hyperphosphorylation. 11Dynamic changes in fibrinogen levels of patients with acute cerebral infarction after taking defibrase显示文摘BACKGROUND: At present, as a therapeutic drug mainly for reducing fibrinogen (FIB) levels, the dynamic influence of defibrase on the FIB levels of patients with acute cerebral infarction has not been clearly ascertained. OBJECTIVE: To observe the dynamic changes in FIB levels of patients with acute cerebral infarction at different time points after taking defibrase. DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING: Randomized controlled clinical trial. The study was conducted in the Department of Neurology, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Jinan University, from June to November 2006. PARTICIPANTS: Sixty patients with acute cerebral infarction, who had been treated by the Neurological Department of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Jinan University from June to November 2006, were selected, including 37 males and 23 females, aged 35–75 years. All cases met the diagnostic criteria formulated by the Fourth National Cerebrovascular Disease Conference within 12 hours of onset. All the patients were confirmed with definite hemiparesis and cerebral infarction without coma, and were randomly divided into two groups: a treatment group (n =40) and a control group (n =20). Patients’ families had the right to be informed and agree with the treatment, which had permission from the Hospital Ethics Committee. METHODS: Patients in the control group were given routine treatment with 30 mL fleabane and 0.75 g cytidine diphosphate added to 500 mL saline solution once a day for 14 consecutive days. Patients in the treatment group were given routine treatment and Haiwang defibrase injection (purchased from Changchu Guoao Bio-Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd., Approval document number H10983237) within 12 hours of infarction. Defibrase doses of 15, 12.5 and 10 U were given over 2 hours according to the patients’ pre-treatment plasma FIB levels of ≥ 4.50 g/L, 3.50-4.49 g/L and 1.00-3.49 g/L, respectively. Plasma FIB levels in the treatment group were measured before, and once every six hours for 48 hours after administration of defibrase. Later, measurements were taken once every 12 hours and FIB levels were kept in a range of 0.5–1.3 g/L for one week. When the FIB level increased to over 1.3 g/L, a 5 U dose of defibrase was given again over two hours. FIB levels of the control group were measured once before treatment and once after one week of treatment MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: (1) Dynamic changes of FIB levels in the defibrase treatment group. (2) Comparison of dynamic changes of FIB levels in the treatment group and control group before and after treatment for one week. RESULTS: All 60 patients were included in the final analysis. The treatment group’s FIB levels quickly decreased to 0.5–1.3 g/L within 12 hours of taking the first dose of defibrase and reached a minimum in 24 hours. Later, they began to rise slowly into the therapeutic range (0.5–1.3 g/L) in 48 hours. The FIB levels of the treatment group increased slowly to over 1.3 g/L in 60 hours after the first dose of defibrase and then quickly decreased to the therapeutic range after the second dose of 5 U defibrase with a minimum level higher than after the first dose, and higher again after the third dose. After treatment, patients’ FIB levels could be kept in the therapeutic range for about one week. The FIB levels in patients in the treatment group were significantly lower after taking defibrase for one week in comparison with the levels before treatment (P < 0.01). There was no difference in the control group between the levels pre-treatment and one week after treatment (P > 0.05). CONCLUSIONS: FIB levels in patients with acute cerebral infarction quickly decrease after taking the first dose of defibrase and reach a minimum in 24 hours. Later, they begin to rise slowly into the therapeutic range (0.5–1.3 g/L) in 48 hours. The FIB levels increase slowly to over 1.3 g/L in 60 hours.
