5A Paleogeographic and Depositional Model for the Neogene Fluvial Succession, Pishin Belt, Northwest Pakistan: Effect of Post Collisional Tectonics on Sedimentation in a Peripheral Foreland Setting显示文摘Detailed facies analysis of the Neogene successions of the Pishin Belt(Katawaz Basin) has enabled documentation of successive depositional systems and paleogeographic settings of the basin formed by the collision of the northwestern continental margin of the Indian Plate and the Afghan Block. During the Early Miocene, subaerial sedimentation started after the final closure of the Katawaz Remnant Ocean. Based on detailed field data, twelve facies were recognized in Neogene successions exposed in the Pishin Belt. These facies were further organized into four facies associations i.e. channels, crevasse splay, natural levee and floodplain facies associations. Facies associations and variations provided ample evidence to recognize a number of fluvial architectural components in the succession e.g., low-sinuosity sandy braided river, mixed-load meandering, high-sinuosity meandering channels, single-story sandstone and/or conglomerate channels, lateral accretion surfaces(point bars) and alluvial fans. Neogene sedimentation in the Pishin Belt was mainly controlled by active tectonism and thrusting in response to the oblique collision of the Indian Plate with the Afghan Block of the Eurasian Plate along the Chaman-Nushki Fault. Post Miocene deformation of these formations successively caused them to contribute as an additional source terrain for the younger formations.Aimal K.KASI Akhtar M.KASSI Muhammad UMAR Henrik FRIIS Mohibullah MOHIBULLAH Razzaq A.MANAN 2018Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2018,92,2:0
6Reservoir Quality Assessment of the Upper Permian Chhidru Formation, Salt and Surghar Ranges, Pakistan显示文摘The Late Permian succession of the Upper Indus Basin in northeastern Pakistan is represented by the carbonatedominated Zaluch Group, which consists of the Amb, Wargal and Chhidru formations, which accumulated on the southwestern shelf of the Paleo-Tethys Ocean, north of the hydrocarbon-producing Permian strata of the Arabian Peninsula. The reservoir properties of the mixed clastic-carbonate Chhidru Formation(CFm) are evaluated based on petrography, using scanning electron microscopy(SEM), energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy(EDX) and x-ray diffraction(XRD) techniques. The diagenetic features are recognized, ranging from marine(isopachous fibrous calcite, micrite), through meteoric(blocky calcite-I, neomorphism and dissolution) to burial(poikilotopic cement, blocky calcite-II-III, fractures, fracture-filling, and stylolites). Major porosity types include fracture and moldic, while inter-and intra-particle porosities also exist. Observed visual porosity ranges from 1.5%–7.14% with an average of 5.15%. The sandstone facies(CMF-4) has the highest average porosity of 10.7%, whereas the siliciclastic grainstone microfacies(CMF-3) shows an average porosity of 5.3%. The siliciclastic mudstone microfacies(CMF-1) and siliciclastic wacke-packestone microfacies(CMF-2) show the lowest porosities of 4.8% and 5.0%, respectively. Diagenetic processes like cementation, neomorphism, stylolitization and compaction have reduced the primary porosities;however, processes of dissolution and fracturing have produced secondary porosity. On average, the CFm in the Nammal Gorge, Salt Range shows promise and at Gula Khel Gorge, Trans-Indus, the lowest porosity.Muhammad ZAHIR Muhammad AWAIS Mukhtiar GHANI Mohibullah MOHIBULLAH Osman SALAD HERSI Irfan U.JAN Sajjad AHMAD Hamid IQBAL 2021Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2021,95,6:0
7Geochemical investigation of low latitude black shale intervals of the Lower to Middle Jurassic succession, Indus Basin, Pakistan显示文摘The Lower to Middle Jurassic sedimentary succession is dominated by siliciclastics with a significant amount of black shales in the Indus Basin,Pakistan.Several outcrop samples have been studied using an integrated approach to interpret the conceptual depositional setting from carbon and oxygen isotopes(δ^(13)C&δ18O),organic geochemistry, and palynofacies with major and trace element analysis. For interpretation of trace element data, various single and elemental ratios have been used in this research to unlock the geological history of the studied strata.Ti/Al is 1.96 for high-potential source rock and 7.82 for non-potential source rock, and Cr(less than 1)indicates low clastic input with low oxygen for stratified and stagnant water. The ratios of V/(V+Cr),V/(V+Ni),V/Mo,V/Ni,(Cu+Mo)/Zn,Mo/Al,isotopic values ofδ^(13)C andδ18O and besides the V/Cr elemental ratio, all proxies indicate that there are oxygen-depleted anoxic conditions at high potentials, while in non-potential source rock, these ratios show oxic to sub-oxic settings. In addition to the trace element correlation with total organic carbon, the influx of organic matter is determined by the palynoafacies analysis, which indicates mixed terrestrial and marine organic influx in high-potential source rock and vice versa.Furthermore, the studies of palynofaceis DFPF A-D and SFPF A-B suggest that the depositional setting of black shale occurred in the anoxic proximal to distal shelf. The results suggest that the regional and local occurrence of black shale during the Lower to Middle Jurassic and its geological condition were addressed, and these play an important role in its depositional and paleooceanographic setting in the Eastern Tethys.Fahad ALI Shiqi ZHANG Muhammad HANIF Mohibullah MOHIBULLAH Yaxuan ZHANG Muhammad USMAN Sheng WANG Xueliang LIU Pengjie MA Dongmou HUANG 2022Frontiers of Earth Science2022,16,3:0
8Alpha Fusion Adversarial Attack Analysis Using Deep Learning显示文摘The deep learning model encompasses a powerful learning ability that integrates the feature extraction, and classification method to improve accuracy.Convolutional Neural Networks(CNN)perform well in machine learning and image processing tasks like segmentation, classification, detection, identification, etc. The CNN models are still sensitive to noise and attack. The smallest change in training images as in an adversarial attack can greatly decrease the accuracy of the CNN model. This paper presents an alpha fusion attack analysis and generates defense against adversarial attacks. The proposed work is divided into three phases:firstly,an MLSTM-based CNN classification model is developed for classifying COVID-CT images.Secondly,an alpha fusion attack is generated to fool the classification model. The alpha fusion attack is tested in the last phase on a modified LSTM-based CNN(CNN-MLSTM)model and other pre-trained models. The results of CNN models show that the accuracy of these models dropped greatly after the alpha-fusion attack. The highest F1 score before the attack was achieved is 97.45 And after the attack lowest F1 score recorded is 22%.Results elucidate the performance in terms of accuracy,precision,F1 score and Recall.Mohibullah Khan Ata Ullah Isra Naz Sajjad Haider Nz Jhanji Mohammad Shorfuzzaman Mehedi Masud 2023Computer Systems Science & Engineering2023,46,7:0
