1Fate of PM2.5-bound PAHs in Xiangyang, central China during 2018 Chinese spring festival: Influence of fireworks burning and air-mass transport显示文摘Variations of levels,possible source and air mass transmission were investigated for 16 USEPA priority-controlled PAHs in PM2.5 during 2018 Chinese Spring Festival(CSF)in Xiangyang City,central China which is the North-South pollutant airmass transport channel of China.Totally 37 samples were collected.Mass concentrations of 16 PAHs for the Pre–CSF day(Pre–CSFD),during the CSF day(CSFD)and after the CSF day(Af–CSFD)are 33.78±17.68 ng/m3,22.98±6.49 ng/m3,and 8.99±4.44 ng/m3,respectively.High resolution samples showed that 16 PAHs are higher in the morning(06:00–11:00)or afternoon(11:30–16:30),than those in the evening(17:00–22:00)and at night(22:30–05:30),whereas the result is reversed during the CSFD.Fireworks burning can obviously increase the mass concentration of PAHs.Air mass trajectory indicated that Xiangyang is a sink area of pollutants for northwest and southeast,and the sources of the northeast and southwest.The air mass only can be transmitted out through northeast and southwest.It is effective for improvement of air quality in Wuhan and Hunan to control fireworks emission in Henan and local areas.Fireworks burning was an important source for PAHs during CSFD,biomass,coal combustion,and traffic emission were the main sources of PAHs for Pre–CSFD and Af–CSFD periods.The health risk on the CSFD was higher than the acceptable levels,especially during the intensive fireworks burning,the risk value far exceed 1.0×10^-4,controlling burning fireworks is required.Tianpeng Hu Yao Mao Weijie Liu Cheng Cheng Mingming Shi Zhanle Chen Qian Tian Jiaquan Zhang Shihua Qi Xinli Xing 2020Journal of Environmental Sciences2020,32,11:6
2Sea ice extent retrieval with HY-2A scatterometer data and its assessment显示文摘A sea ice extent retrieval algorithm over the polar area based on scatterometer data of HY-2A satellite has been established.Four parameters are used for distinguishing between sea ice and ocean with Fisher's linear discriminant analysis method.The method is used to generate polar sea ice extent maps of the Arctic and Antarctic regions of the full 2013–2014 from the scatterometer aboard HY-2A(HY-2A-SCAT) backscatter data.The time series of the ice mapped imagery shows ice edge evolution and indicates a similar seasonal change trend with total ice area from DMSP-F17 Special Sensor Microwave Imager/Sounder(SSMIS) sea ice concentration data.For both hemispheres,the HY-2A-SCAT extent correlates very well with SSMIS 15% extent for the whole year period.Compared with Synthetic Aperture Radar(SAR) imagery,the HY-2A-SCAT ice extent shows good correlation with the Sentinel-1 SAR ice edge.Over some ice edge area,the difference is very evident because sea ice edges can be very dynamic and move several kilometers in a single day.SHI Lijian LI Mingming ZHAO Chaofang WANG Zhixiong SHI Yingni ZOU Juhong ZENG Tao 2017Acta Oceanologica Sinica2017,36,8:5
3Satellite proximate interception vector guidance based on differential games显示文摘This paper studies the proximate satellite interception guidance strategies where both the interceptor and target can perform orbital maneuvers with magnitude limited thrusts. This problem is regarded as a pursuit-evasion game since satellites in both sides will try their best to capture or escape. In this game, the distance of these two players is small enough so that the highly nonlinear earth-centered gravitational dynamics can be reduced to the linear Clohessy-Wiltshire(CW) equations. The system is then simplified by introducing the zero effort miss variables. Saddle solution is formulated for the pursuit-evasion game and time-to-go is estimated similarly as that for the exoatmospheric interception. Then a vector guidance is derived to ensure that the interception can be achieved in the optimal time. 4An ultrahigh strength steel produced through deformation-induced ferrite transformation and Q&P process显示文摘In this work,DIFT technology and Q&P process were combined in order to introduce ultrafine-grained ferrite into the matrix of martensite and retained austenite to develop a new kind of advanced high strength steel,and two kinds of steels were investigated by this novel combined process.The newly designed process resulted in a sophisticated microstructure of a large amount of ferrite(about 5 m in diameter),martensite and a considerable amount of retained austenite for TRIP 780 steel.The ultimate tensile strength can reach about 1200 MPa with elongation above 16% for TRIP 780,that is much higher than the one solely treated by Q&P process.Tensile tests showed that both steels with the novel combined process achieved a good combination of strength and ductility,indicating that the new process is promising for the new generation of advanced high strength steels.CHEN MingMing WU RiMing LIU HePing WANG Li SHI Jie DONG Han JIN XueJun 2012Science China(Technological Sciences)2012,55,7:3
5Alloyed Au-Ag nanorods with desired plasmonic properties and stability in harsh environments显示文摘Bio-chemical molecular detection in the nanoscale, based on alloyed nanorods(NRs) with tunable surface plasmon resonance(SPR) properties and high chemical stability, has attracted particular interest. In this work,alloyed Au-Ag NRs with tunable aspect ratios were achieved by annealing Au nanobipyramid-directed Au@Ag core-shell NRs. The core-shell NRs were encapsulated within mesoporous silica outer shells to avoid fusion or aggregation. The structural stability of fully alloyed Au-Ag NRs, including chemical and thermal stability, is remarkably improved compared with that of Au@Ag core-shell NRs. The alloyed NRs would maintain the rod-like structure after being incubated in etchant solution, while Au@Ag core-shell NRs would decay into nanobipyramids.Additionally, fully alloyed NRs present stable morphology under annealing at high temperatures of up to 600℃ in air. Benefiting from excellent structural and chemical stabilities, the surface-enhanced Raman scattering effect based on alloyed NRs is stable in harsh environments. Taking advantage of tunable SPR properties(600–1800 nm) and excellent stability, the obtained nanostructures can serve as drug carriers. 6Unusual coastal ocean cooling in the northern South China Sea by a katabatic cold jet associated with Typhoon Mujigea(2015)显示文摘This study deals with a unusual cooling event after Typhoon Mujigea passed over the northern South China Sea(SCS) in October 2015. We analyze the satellite sea surface temperature(SST) time series from October 3 to 18,2015 and find that the cooling process in the coastal ocean had two different stages. The first stage occurred immediately after typhoon passage on October 3, and reached a maximum SST drop of –2℃ on October 7 as the usual cold wake after typhoon. The second stage or the unusual extended cooling event occurred after 7d of the typhoon passage, and lasted for 5d from October 10 to 15. The maximum SST cooling was –4℃ and occurred after 12d of typhoon passage. The mechanism analysis results indicate that after landing and moving northwestward to the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau(YGP), Typhoon Mujigea(2015) met the westerly wind front on October 5. The lowpressure and positive-vorticity disturbances to the front triggered meridional air flow and low-pressure trough,thus induced a katabatic cold jet downward from the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau(QTP) passing through the YGP to the northwestern SCS. The second cooling reached the maximum SST drop 4d later after the maximum air temperature drop of –9℃ on October 11. 7Development of optical-thermal coupled model for phosphor-converted LEDs显示文摘In this review, first, we discussed the effect of phosphor features on optical properties by the software simulation in detail. A combination of these parameters: phosphor material, phosphor particle size and particle distribution, phosphor layer concentration, phosphor layer thickness, geometry, and location of the phosphor layer, will result in the final optical performance of the phosphor layer. Secondly, we introduced how to improve light extraction efficiency with various proposed methods. Thirdly, we summarized the thermal models to predict the phosphor temperature and the junction temperature. To stabilize the optical performance of phosphor-converted light emitting diodes (PC-LEDs), much effort has been made to reduce the junction temperature of the LED chips. The phosphor temperature, a critical reliability concern for PC-LEDs, should be attracted academic interest. Finally, we summed up optical-thermal coupled model for phosphors and summarized future optical- thermal issues exploring the light quality for LEDs. 8Preferentially released miR-122 from cyclodextrin-based star copolymer nanoparticle enhances hepatoma chemotherapy by apoptosis induction and cytotoxics efflux inhibition显示文摘Chemotherapy,as one of the most commonly used treatment modalities for cancer therapy,provides limited benefits to hepatoma patients,owing to its inefficient delivery as well as the intrinsic chemo-resistance of hepatoma.Bioinformatic analysis identified the therapeutic role of a liver-specific microRNA-miR-122 for enhancing chemo-therapeutic efficacy in hepatoma.Herein,a cyclodextrin-cored star copolymer nanoparticle system(sCDP/DOX/miR-122)is constructed to co-deliver miR-122 with doxorubicin(DOX)for hepatoma therapy.In this nanosystem,miR-122 is condensed by the outer cationic poly(2-(dimethylamino)ethyl methacrylate)chains of sCDP while DOX is accommodated in the inner hydrophobic cyclodextrin cavities,endowing a sequential release manner of miR-122 and DOX.The preferentially released miR-122 not only directly induces cell apoptosis by down regulation of Bcl-w and enhanced p53 activity,but also increases DOX accumulation through inhibiting cytotoxic efflux transporter expression,which realizes synergistic performance on cell inhibition.Moreover,sCDP/DOX/miR-122 displays remarkably increased anti-tumor efficacy in vivo compared to free DOX and sCDP/DOX alone,indicating its great promising in hepatoma therapy.Qingqing Xiong Yang Bai Run Shi Jian Wang Weiguo Xu Mingming Zhang Tianqiang Song 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,11:2

10Optical and electrical properties of a spiral LED filament显示文摘This paper introduces a new type of spiral white light-emitting diodes(WLED) filament with high luminous efficiency and uniform optical performance. The optical and thermal properties of the flexible filament were investigated at different stretching heights, namely 0, 1, 2, and 3 cm. The results indicated that the filament showed the best optical characteristics at the stretching height of 2 cm, because of good heat dissipation. In addition, the radiation temperature of the filament was inversely proportional to the output luminous flux. The reliability of the filament at a stretching height of 2 cm was also evaluated after 1000 h of use. The result demonstrated that the luminous flux decay of the bulb was only 0.85%. 11Bifunctional ultraviolet light-emitting/detecting device based on a SnO_(2) microwire/p-GaN heterojunction显示文摘SnO_(2)has attracted considerable attention due to its wide bandgap,large exciton binding energy,and outstanding electrical and optoelectronic features.Owing to the lack of reliable and reproducible p-type SnO_(2),many challenges on developing SnO_(2)-based optoelectronic devices and their practical applications still remain.Herein,single-crystal SnO_(2)microwires(MWs)are acquired via the self-catalyzed approach.As a strategic alternative,n-SnO_(2)MW/p-GaN heterojunction was constructed,which exhibited selectable dual-functionalities of light-emitting and photodetection when operated by applying an appropriate voltage.The device illustrated a distinct near-ultraviolet light-emission peaking at∼395.0 nm and a linewidth∼50 nm.Significantly,the device characteristics,in terms of the main peak positions and linewidth,are nearly invariant as functions of various injection current,suggesting that quantum-confined Stark effect is essentially absent.Meanwhile,the identical n-SnO_(2)MW/p-GaN heterojunction can also achieve photovoltaic-type light detection.The device can steadily feature ultraviolet photodetecting ability,including the ultraviolet/visible rejection ratio(R_(360 nm)/R_(400 nm))∼1.5×10^(3),high photodark current ratio of 105,fast response speed of 9.2/51 ms,maximum responsivity of 1.5 A/W,and detectivity of 1.3×10^(13)Jones under 360 nm light at−3 V bias.Therefore,the bifunctional device not only displays distinct near-ultraviolet light emission,but also has the ability of high-sensitive ultraviolet photodetection.The novel design of n-SnO_(2)MW/p-GaN heterojunction bifunctional systems is expected to open doors to practical application of SnO_(2)microstructures/nanostructures for large-scale device miniaturization,integration and multifunction in next-generation high-performance photoelectronic devices.TONG XU MINGMING JIANG PENG WAN KAI TANG DANING SHI CAIXIA KAN 2021Photonics Research2021,9,12:1
12Ratiometric fluorescent detection of acidic pH in lysosome with carbon nanodots显示文摘It is significant for cell physiology to keep the homeostasis of p H, and it is highly demanded to develop ratiometric fluorescent sensors toward p H. In this work, under mild condition, through the electrostatic interaction between carbon nanodots(CDs) and organic molecules, two novel ratiometric fluorescence hybrid nanosensors were fabricated for sensing acidic p H. These nanohybrid systems possess dual emission peaks at 455 and 527 nm under a single excitation wavelength of 380 nm in acidic p H condition.With the increasing of p H, the fluorescence of the 1,8-naphthalimide derivative completely quenches,while the blue fluorescence of CDs keeps constant. Furthermore, the CDsàorganic molecular nanohybrids exhibit excellent anti-disturbance ability, reversible p H sensing ability, and a linear response range in wide p H range respectively. 17Flexoelectricity Driven Fano Resonance in Slotted Carbon Nanotubes for Decoupled Multifunctional Sensing显示文摘Multifunctionality,interference-free signal readout,and quantum effect are important considerations for flexible sensors equipped within a single unit towards further miniaturization.To address these criteria,we present the slotted carbon nanotube(CNT)junction features tunable Fano resonance driven by flexoelectricity,which could serve as an ideal multimodal sensory receptor.Based on extensive ab initio calculations,we find that the effective Fano factor can be used as a temperature-insensitive extrinsic variable for sensing the bending strain,and the Seebeck coefficient can be used as a strain-insensitive intrinsic variable for detecting temperature.Thus,this dual-parameter permits simultaneous sensing of temperature and strain without signal interference.We further demonstrate the applicability of this slotted junction to ultrasensitive chemical sensing which enables precise determination of donor-type,acceptor-type,and inert molecules.This is due to the enhancement or counterbalance between flexoelectric and chemical gating.Flexoelectric gating would preserve the electron–hole symmetry of the slotted junction whereas chemical gating would break it.As a proof-of-concept demonstration,the slotted CNT junction provides an excellent quantum platform for the development of multistimuli sensation in artificial intelligence at the molecular scale.Jinlong Ren Yingchao Liu Xingqiang Shi Guangcun Shan Mingming Tang Chaocheng Kaun Kunpeng Dou 2021Research2021,,1:1

20A Therapeutic Sheep in Metastatic Wolf’s Clothing: Trojan Horse Approach for Cancer Brain Metastases Treatment显示文摘Early-stage brain metastasis of breast cancer(BMBC), due to the existence of an intact blood–brain barrier(BBB), is one of the deadliest neurologic complications. To improve the efficacy of chemotherapy for BMBC, a Trojan horse strategy-based nanocarrier has been developed by integrating the cell membrane of a brain-homing cancer cell and a polymeric drug depot. With the camouflage of a MDA-MB-231/Br cell membrane, doxorubicin-loaded poly(D, L-lactic-co-glycolic acid) nanoparticle(DOX-PLGA@CM) shows enhanced cellular uptake and boosted killing potency for MDA-MB-231/Br cells. Furthermore, DOX-PLGA@CM is equipped with naturally selected molecules for BBB penetration, as evidenced by its boosted capacity in entering the brain of both healthy and early-stage BMBC mouse models.
