Dark matter direct search sensitivity of the PandaX-4T experiment显示文摘The Panda X-4T experiment, a 4-ton scale dark matter direct detection experiment, is being planned at the China Jinping Underground Laboratory. In this paper we present a simulation study of the expected background in this experiment. In a 2.8-ton fiducial mass and the signal region between 1-10 keV electron equivalent energy, the total electron recoil background is found to be 4.9 × 10^(-5) kg^(-1) d^(-1) keV^(-1). The nuclear recoil background in the same region is 2.8 × 10^(-7) kg^(-1) d^(-1) keV^(-1). With an exposure of 5.6 ton-years, the sensitivity of Panda X-4 T could reach a minimum spin-independent dark matter-nucleon cross section of 6 × 10^(-48) cm^2 at a dark matter mass of 40 Ge V/c^2. | HongGuang Zhang Abdusalam Abdukerim Wei Chen Xun Chen YunHua Chen XiangYi Cui BinBin Dong DeQing Fang ChangBo Fu Karl Giboni Franco Giuliani LinHui Gu XuYuan Guo ZhiFan Guo Ke Han ChangDa He ShengMing He Di Huang XingTao Huang Zhou Huang Peng Ji XiangDong Ji YongLin Ju ShaoLi Li Yao Li Heng Lin HuaXuan Liu JiangLai Liu YuGang Ma YaJun Mao KaiXiang Ni JinHua Ning XiangXiang Ren Fang Shi AnDi Tan AnQing Wang Cheng Wang HongWei Wang Meng Wang QiuHong Wang SiGuang Wang XiuLi Wang XuMing Wang Zhou Wang MengMeng Wu ShiYong Wu JingKai Xia MengJiao Xiao PengWei Xie BinBin Yan JiJun Yang Yong Yang ChunXu Yu JuMin Yuan JianFeng Yue Dan Zhang Tao Zhang Li Zhao QiBin Zheng JiFang Zhou Ning Zhou XiaoPeng Zhou | 2019 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2019,62,3: | 6
Development of image-based wheat spike counter through a Faster R-CNN algorithm and application for genetic studies显示文摘Spike number(SN) per unit area is one of the major determinants of grain yield in wheat. Development of high-throughput techniques to count SN from large populations enables rapid and cost-effective selection and facilitates genetic studies. In the present study, we used a deep-learning algorithm, i.e., Faster Region-based Convolutional Neural Networks(Faster R-CNN) on Red-Green-Blue(RGB) images to explore the possibility of image-based detection of SN and its application to identify the loci underlying SN. A doubled haploid population of 101 lines derived from the Yangmai 16/Zhongmai 895 cross was grown at two sites for SN phenotyping and genotyped using the high-density wheat 660 K SNP array.Analysis of manual spike number(MSN) in the field, image-based spike number(ISN), and verification of spike number(VSN) by Faster R-CNN revealed significant variation(P < 0.001) among genotypes, with high heritability ranged from 0.71 to 0.96. The coefficients of determination(R^(2)) between ISN and VSN was 0.83, which was higher than that between ISN and MSN(R^(2)= 0.51), and between VSN and MSN(R^(2)= 0.50). Results showed that VSN data can effectively predict wheat spikes with an average accuracy of 86.7% when validated using MSN data. Three QTL Qsnyz.caas-4 DS, Qsnyz.caas-7 DS, and QSnyz.caas-7 DL were identified based on MSN, ISN and VSN data, while QSnyz.caas-7 DS was detected in all the three data sets. These results indicate that using Faster R-CNN model for image-based identification of SN per unit area is a precise and rapid phenotyping method, which can be used for genetic studies of SN in wheat. | Lei Li Muhammad Adeel Hassan Shurong Yang Furong Jing Mengjiao Yang Awais Rasheed Jiankang Wang Xianchun Xia Zhonghu He Yonggui Xiao | 2022 | The Crop Journal2022,10,5: | 5
Resveratrol promotes the survival and neuronal differentiation of hypoxia-conditioned neuronal progenitor cells in rats with cerebral ischemia显示文摘Hypoxia conditioning could increase the survival of transplanted neuronal progenitor cells(NPCs)in rats with cerebral ischemia but could also hinder neuronal differentiation partly by suppressing mitochondrial metabolism. In this work, the mitochondrial metabolism of hypoxia-conditioned NPCs(hcNPCs)was upregulated via the additional administration of resveratrol,an herbal compound,to resolve the limitation of hypoxia conditioning on neuronal differentiation.Resveratrol was first applied during the in vitro neuronal differentiation of hcNPCs and concurrently promoted the differentiation, synaptogenesis, and functional development of neurons derived from hcNPCs and restored the mitochondrial metabolism.Furthermore, this herbal compound was used as an adjuvant during hcNPC transplantation in a photothrombotic stroke rat model.Resveratrol promoted neuronal differentiation and increased the long-term survival of transplanted hcNPCs.18-fluorine fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography and rotarod test showed that resveratrol and hcNPC transplantation synergistically improved the neurological and metabolic recovery of stroke rats.In conclusion, resveratrol promoted the neuronal differentiation and therapeutic efficiency of hcNPCs in stroke rats via restoring mitochondrial metabolism. This work suggested a novel approach to promote the clinical translation of NPC transplantation therapy. | Yao Yao Rui Zhou Rui Bai Jing Wang Mengjiao Tu Jingjing Shi Xiao He Jinyun Zhou Liu Feng Yuanxue Gao Fahuan Song Feng Lan Xingguo Liu Mei Tian Hong Zhang | 2021 | Frontiers of Medicine2021,15,3: | 3
Quantitative proteomics revealed extensive microenvironmental changes after stem cell transplantation in ischemic stroke显示文摘The local microenvironment is essential to stem cell-based therapy for ischemic stroke, and spatiotemporal changes of the microenvironment in the pathological process provide vital clues for understanding the therapeutic mechanisms. However, relevant studies on microenvironmental changes were mainly confined in the acute phase of stroke, and long-term changes remain unclear. This study aimed to investigate the microenvironmental changes in the subacute and chronic phases of ischemic stroke after stem cell transplantation.Herein, induced pluripotent stem cells(iPSCs)and neural stem cells(NSCs)were transplanted into the ischemic brain established by middle cerebral artery occlusion surgery.Positron emission tomography imaging and neurological tests were applied to evaluate the metabolic and neurofunctional alterations of rats transplanted with stem cells.Quantitative proteomics was employed to investigate the protein expression profiles in iPSCs-transplanted brain in the subacute and chronic phases of stroke.Compared with NSCs-transplanted rats, significantly increased glucose metabolism and neurofunctional scores were observed in iPSCs-transplanted rats.Subsequent proteomic data of iPSCs-transplanted rats identified a total of 39 differentially expressed proteins in the subacute and chronic phases, which are involved in various ischemic stroke-related biological processes, including neuronal survival, axonal remodeling, antioxidative stress, and mitochondrial function restoration.Taken together, our study indicated that iPSCs have a positive therapeutic effect in ischemic stroke and emphasized the wide-ranging microenvironmental changes in the subacute and chronic phases. | Yao Chen Fahuan Song Mengjiao Tu Shuang Wu Xiao He Hao Liu Caiyun Xu Kai Zhang Yuankai Zhu Rui Zhou Chentao Jin Ping Wang Hong Zhang Mei Tian | 2022 | Frontiers of Medicine2022,16,3: | 1
An improved evaluation of the neutron background in the PandaX-Ⅱ experiment显示文摘In dark matter direct detection experiments, neutron is a serious source of background, which can mimic the dark matter-nucleus scattering signals. In this paper,we present an improved evaluation of the neutron background in the PandaX-II dark matter experiment by a novel approach.Instead of fully relying on the Monte Carlo simulation, the overall neutron background is determined from the neutron-induced high energy signals in the data.In addition, the probability of producing a dark-matter-like background per neutron is evaluated with a complete Monte Carlo generator, where the correlated emission of neutron(s)andγ(s)in the(α,n)reactions and spontaneous fissions is taken into consideration. With this method, the neutron backgrounds in the Run 9(26-ton-day)and Run 10(28-ton-day)data sets of PandaX-II are estimated to be(0.66±0.24)and(0.47±0.25)events,respectively. | QiuHong Wang Abdusalam Abdukerim Wei Chen Xun Chen YunHua Chen XiangYi Cui YingJie Fan DeQing Fang ChangBo Fu LiSheng Geng Karl Giboni Franco Giuliani LinHui Gu XuYuan Guo Ke Han ChangDa He Di Huang Yan Huang YanLin Huang Zhou Huang Peng Ji XiangDong Ji YongLin Ju YiHui Lai Kun Liang HuaXuan Liu JiangLai Liu WenBo Ma YuGang Ma YaJun Mao Yue Meng Parinya Namwongsa KaiXiang Ni JinHua Ning XuYang Ning XiangXiang Ren ChangSong Shang Lin Si AnDi Tan AnQing Wang HongWei Wang Meng Wang SiGuang Wang XiuLi Wang Zhou Wang MengMeng Wu ShiYong Wu JingKai Xia MengJiao Xiao PengWei Xie BinBin Yan JiJun Yang Yong Yang ChunXu Yu Jumin Yuan Dan Zhang HongGuang Zhang Tao Zhang Li Zhao QiBin Zheng JiFang Zhou Ning Zhou XiaoPeng Zhou | 2020 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2020,63,3: | 0
Constraining self-interacting dark matter with the full dataset of PandaX-II显示文摘Self-interacting dark matter(SIDM)is a leading candidate proposed to solve discrepancies between predictions of the prevailing cold dark matter theory and observations of galaxies. Many SIDM models predict the existence of a light force carrier that mediates strong dark matter self-interactions.If the mediator couples to the standard model particles,it could produce characteristic signals in dark matter direct detection experiments. We report searches for signals of SIDM models with a light mediator using the full dataset of the PandaX-II experiment, basing on a total exposure of 132 tonne-days.No significant excess over background is found, and our likelihood analysis leads to a strong upper limit on the dark matter-nucleon coupling strength. We further combine the PandaX-II constraints and those from observations of the light element abundances in the early universe, and show that direct detection and cosmological probes can provide complementary constraints on dark matter models with a light mediator. | Jijun Yang Abdusalam Abdukerim Wei Chen Xun Chen Yunhua Chen Chen Cheng Xiangyi Cui Yingjie Fan Deqing Fang Changbo Fu Mengting Fu Lisheng Geng Karl Giboni Linhui Gu Xuyuan Guo Ke Han Changda He Shengming He Di Huang Yan Huang Ran Huo Yanlin Huang Zhou Huang Xiangdong Ji Yonglin Ju Shuaijie Li Qing Lin Huaxuan Liu Jianglai Liu Xiaoying Lu Wenbo Ma Yugang Ma Yajun Mao Yue Meng Nasir Shaheed Kaixiang Ni Jinhua Ning Xuyang Ning Xiangxiang Ren Changsong Shang Guofang Shen Lin Si Andi Tan Anqing Wang Hongwei Wang Meng Wang QiuHong Wang Siguang Wang Wei Wang Xiuli Wang Zhou Wang Mengmeng Wu Shiyong Wu Weihao Wu Jingkai Xia Mengjiao Xiao Xiang Xiao Pengwei Xie Binbin Yan Yong Yang Chunxu Yu Hai-Bo Yu Jumin Yuan Ying Yuan Xinning Zeng Dan Zhang Tao Zhang Li Zhao Qibin Zheng Jifang Zhou Ning Zhou Xiaopeng Zhou | 2021 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2021,64,11: | 0

Enriched electrophilic oxygen species facilitate acidic oxygen evolution on Ru-Mo binary oxide catalysts显示文摘The polymer electrolyte membrane(PEM)electrolyzers are burdened with costly iridium(Ir)-based catalysts and high operation overpotentials for the oxygen evolution reaction(OER).The development of earth-abundant,highly active, and durable electrocatalysts to replace Ir is a critical step in reducing the cost of green hydrogen production. Here we develop a Ru5Mo4Ox binary oxide catalyst that exhibits high activity and stability in acidic OER.The electron-withdrawing property of Mo enriches the electrophilic surface oxygen species, which promotes acidic OER to proceed via the adsorbate evolution pathway. As a result,we achieve a 189 mV overpotential at 10 mA·cm^(-2) and a Tafel slope of 48.8 mV·dec^(-1).Our catalyst demonstrates a substantial 18-fold increase in intrinsic activity,as evaluated by turnover frequency, compared to commercially available RuO_(2) and IrO_(2) catalysts. Moreover,we report a stable OER operation at 10 mA·cm^(-2) for 100 h with a low degradation rate of 2.05 mV·h^(-1). | Yaya Wang Yunzhou Wen Yumeng Cheng Xinhong Chen Mengjiao Zhuansun Tongbao Wang Jun Li Debora Meira Huarui Sun Jun Wei Jia Zhou Yuhang Wang Sisi He | 2024 | Nano Research2024,17,3: | 0
Systemic antibiotics increase microbiota pathogenicity and oral bone loss显示文摘Periodontitis is the most widespread oral disease and is closely related to the oral microbiota. The oral microbiota is adversely affected by some pharmacologic treatments.Systemic antibiotics are widely used for infectious diseases but can lead to gut dysbiosis, causing negative effects on the human body.Whether systemic antibiotic-induced gut dysbiosis can affect the oral microbiota or even periodontitis has not yet been addressed. In this research, mice were exposed to drinking water containing a cocktail of four antibiotics to explore how systemic antibiotics affect microbiota pathogenicity and oral bone loss. The results demonstrated, for the first time, that gut dysbiosis caused by long-term use of antibiotics can disturb the oral microbiota and aggravate periodontitis. Moreover, the expression of cytokines related to Th17 was increased while transcription factors and cytokines related to Treg were decreased in the periodontal tissue.Fecal microbiota transplantation with normal mice feces restored the gut microbiota and barrier, decreased the pathogenicity of the oral microbiota, reversed the Th17/Treg imbalance in periodontal tissue, and alleviated alveolar bone loss. This study highlights the potential adverse effects of long-term systemic antibiotics-induced gut dysbiosis on the oral microbiota and periodontitis.A Th17/Treg imbalance might be related to this relationship.Importantly, these results reveal that the periodontal condition of patients should be assessed regularly when using systemic antibiotics in clinical practice. | Xulei Yuan Fuyuan Zhou He Wang Xinxin Xu Shihan Xu Chuangwei Zhang Yanan Zhang Miao Lu Yang Zhang Mengjiao Zhou Han Li Ximu Zhang Tingwei Zhang Jinlin Song | 2023 | International Journal of Oral Science2023,15,1: | 0
Artificial Intelligence Based Multi-Scenario mmWave Channel Modeling for Intelligent High-Speed Train Communications显示文摘A large amount of mobile data from growing high-speed train(HST)users makes intelligent HST communications enter the era of big data. The corresponding artificial intelligence(AI)based HST channel modeling becomes a trend. This paper provides AI based channel characteristic prediction and scenario classification model for millimeter wave(mmWave)HST communications.Firstly, the ray tracing method verified by measurement data is applied to reconstruct four representative HST scenarios.By setting the positions of transmitter(Tx),receiver(Rx),and other parameters, the multi-scenarios wireless channel big data is acquired. Then, based on the obtained channel database, radial basis function neural network(RBF-NN)and back propagation neural network(BP-NN)are trained for channel characteristic prediction and scenario classification. Finally, the channel characteristic prediction and scenario classification capabilities of the network are evaluated by calculating the root mean square error(RMSE).The results show that RBF-NN can generally achieve better performance than BP-NN,and is more applicable to prediction of HST scenarios. | Zhang Mengjiao Liu Yu Huang Jie He Ruisi Zhang Jingfan Yu Chongyang Wang Chengxiang | 2024 | China Communications2024,21,3: | 0
Facile and controllable synthesis of amino-modified carbon dots for efficient oil displacement显示文摘Zero-dimensional(0D)carbon dots exhibit excellent potential as a new oil-displacing agent for unconventional reservoir development. However, the difficulty in size/surface properties control and unclear mechanism hinder their further applications. In this study,amino-modified carbon dots(am-CDs)for oil displacement were facilely synthesized through the rapid polymerization of D-glucose(D-Glc)and 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane(APTES).The size of am-CDs could be precisely controlled by the reaction condition and quenching achieved by adjusting the pH value to neutral. The surface amine groups endow am-CDs with excellent hydrophilicity and dispersion stability. The 0.30 wt.%nanofluid based on am-CDs with an average size of 2.6±0.040 nm showed remarkable oil recovery efficiency(54.09%)without the addition of surfactant. The oil recovery efficiency of am-CDs is much higher than those of water flooding(30.25%),nano-SiO_(2) flooding(36.45%),and amino-free carbon dots(af-CDs)flooding(37.80%).Experimental and theoretical results reveal that am-CDs can be favorably adsorbed on the core surface to modulate the micro-scale wettability, changing the surface from oil-wet to relatively uniform water-wet.Meanwhile,am-CDs can effectively reduce the adhesion force between alkanes and sandstone surfaces, contributing to oil droplets peeling off and oil displacement. This study provides a new strategy for developing efficient carbon dots-based nanofluids for enhanced oil recovery. | Yining Wu Lisha Tang Mengjiao Cao Li Li Kai Liu Demin Kong Qingshan Zhao Xu Jin He Liu Caili Dai | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,5: | 0
Tuning osteoporotic macrophage responses to favour regeneration by Cu-bearing titanium alloy in Porphyromonas gingivalis lipopolysaccharide-induced microenvironments显示文摘Guided bone regeneration in inflammatory microenvironments of osteoporotic patients with large alve-olar bone defects remains a great challenge.Macrophages are necessary for alveolar bone regeneration via their polarization and paracrine actions. Our previous studies showed that Cu-bearing Ti6AI4V alloys are capable of regulating macrophage responses. When considering the complexity of oral microenvir-onments,the influences of Cu-bearing Ti6AI4V alloys on osteoporotic macrophages in infectious microenvironments are worthy of further investigations. In this study,we fabricated Ti6AI4V-Cu alloy by selective laser melting technology and used Porphyromonas gingivalis lipopolysaccharide(P.g-LPS)to imitate oral pathogenic bacterial infections. Then,we evaluated the impacts of T6AI4V-Cu on osteoporotic macrophages in infectious microenvironments. Our results indicated that Ti6AI4V-Cu not only inhibited the P.g-LPS-induced M1 polarization and pro-inflammatory cytokine production of osteoporotic macrophages but also shifted polarization towards the pro-regenerative M2 phenotype and remarkably promoted antinflammatory cytokine release. In addition,T6AI4V-Cu effectively promoted the actity of COMMD1 to potentially repress NF-κB-mediated transcription. It is concluded that the Cubearing Ti6AI4V alloy results in ameliorated osteoporotic macrophage responses to create a favourable microenvironment under infectious conditions, which holds promise to develop a GBR-barrier membrane for alveolar bone regeneration of osteoporosis patients. | Xiongcheng Xu Yanjin Lu Ling Zhou Mengjiao He Jin Zhuo Quan Zhong Kai Luo Jinxin Lin | 2021 | Regenerative Biomaterials2021,8,1: | 0
Integrated 16S rRNA sequencing and metabolomic analysis reveals the potential protective mechanism of Germacrone on diabetic nephropathy in mice显示文摘Diabetic nephropathy(DN)is a severe complication of diabetes and the leading cause of end-stage renal disease and death.Germacrone(Ger)possesses anti-inflammatory,antioxidant and anti-DN properties. However,it is unclear whether the improvement in kidney damage caused by Ger in DN mice is related to abnormal compositions and metabolites of the gut microbiota. This study generates a mouse model of DN to explore the potent therapeutic ability and mechanism of Ger in renal function by 16S rRNA sequencing and untargeted fecal metabolomics.Although there is no significant change in microbiota diversity, the structure of the gut microbiota in the DN group is quite different.Serratia_marcescens and Lactobacillus_iners are elevated in the model group but significantly decreased after Ger intervention(P<0.05).Under the treatment of Ger,no significant differences in the diversity and richness of the gut microbiota are observed. An imbalance in the intestinal flora leads to the dysregulation of metabolites, and non-targeted metabolomics data indicate high expression of stearic acid in the DN group, and oleic acid could serve as a potential marker of the therapeutic role of Ger in the DN model.Overall,Ger improves kidney injury in diabetic mice,in part potentially by reducing the abundance of Serratia_marcescens and Lactobacillus_iners,as well as regulating the associated increase in metabolites such as oleic acid, lithocholic acid and the decrease in stearic acid. Our research expands the understanding of the relationship between the gut microbiota and metabolites in Ger-treated DN.This contributes to the usage of natural products as a therapeutic approach for the treatment of DN via microbiota regulation. | Yunguang Wang Xinxin He Mengjiao Xue Huan Yu Qiang He Juan Jin | 2024 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2024,56,3: | 0
