1Computational fluid dynamics(CFD) simulation of effect of baffles on separation in mixer settler显示文摘The main ideas in the development of the solvent extraction mixer settler focused on achieving clean phase separation,minimizing the loss of the reagents and decreasing the surface area of the settlers.The role of baffles in a mechanically agitated vessel is to ensure even distribution,reduce settler turbulence,promote the stability of power drawn by the impeller and to prevent swirling and vortexing of liquid,thus,greatly improving the mixing of liquid.The insertion of the appropriate number of baffles clearly improves the extent of liquid mixing.However,excessive baffling would interrupt liquid mixing and lengthen the mixing time.Computational fluid dynamics(CFD) provides a tool for determining detailed information on fluid flow(hydrodynamics) which is necessary for modeling subprocesses in mixer settler.A total of 54 final CFD runs were carried out representing different combinations of variables like number of baffles,density and impeller speed.CFD data shows that amount of separation increases with increasing baffles number and decreasing impeller speed.Mohsen Ostad Shabani Ali Mazahery Mehdi Alizadeh Ali Asghar Tofigh Mohammad Reza Rahimipour Mansour Razavi Alireza Kolahi 2012International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2012,22,5:12

3Potential bioactive coating system for high-performance absorbable magnesium bone implants显示文摘Magnesium alloys are considered the most suitable absorbable metals for bone fracture fixation implants.The main challenge in absorbable magnesium alloys is their high corrosion/degradation rate that needs to be controlled.Various coatings have been applied to magnesium alloys to slow down their corrosion rates to match their corrosion rate to the regeneration rate of the bone fracture.In this review,a bioactive coating is proposed to slow down the corrosion rate of magnesium alloys and accelerate the bone fracture healing process.The main aim of the bioactive coatings is to enhance the direct attachment of living tissues and thereby facilitate osteoconduction.Hydroxyapatite,collagen type I,recombinant human bone morphogenetic proteins 2,simvastatin,zoledronate,and strontium are six bioactive agents that show high potential for developing a bioactive coating system for high-performance absorbable magnesium bone implants.In addition to coating,the substrate itself can be made bioactive by alloying magnesium with calcium,zinc,copper,and manganese that were found to promote bone regeneration.Murni Nazira Sarian Nida Iqbal Pedram Sotoudehbagha Mehdi Razavi Qamar Uddin Ahmed Cortino Sukotjo Hendra Hermawan 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,6:2

8Characterization and corrosion behavior of Al-Co-rare earth(Ce-La)amorphous alloy显示文摘A new Al-based amorphous alloy with excellent corrosion resistance and high thermal stability was produced in the Al-Co-RE(Ce-La)system.In this regard,two different amorphous-nanocrystalline ribbons:Al_(87.6)-Co_(6.4)-Ce_(3.8-)La_(2.2)(M_(1))and Al_(82.3)-Co_(10.1)-Ce_(4.8)-La_(2.8)(M_(2))were prepared using melt spinning.The results reveal the supercooled liquid region(ATx)of 218℃which shows that the M2alloy has higher thermal stability in comparison to the M1alloy.The M2ribbons present the superior corrosion resistance because of the formation of amorphous phase.The icorr,Ecorr,Epit,and Epit-Ecorrvalues of fully amorphous Al-Co-Ce-La metallic ribbons have a better trend of anti-corrosion performance compared to other crystalline and amorphous aluminum alloys.Seyed Ali Mousavi Sayed Hamid Hashemi Ali Ashrafi Reza Shoja Razavi Seyyed Mehdi Ghazi Mirsaeed 2023Journal of Rare Earths2023,41,5:0
9Survey on cattle ticks in Nur,north of Iran显示文摘Objective:To survey the prevalence of cattle ticks in Nur County and prepare a list of tick fauna in this district.Methods:This investigation was carried out on 150 head of cattle ticks of rural areas of Nur city which is located in Mazandaran province during spring and summer seasons of 2011.The collected ticks were identified using light microscope and available systematic keys.Results:A total number of 1563 ticks were isolated from examined cattle and their genus and numbers including:lxodes ricinus 51%(111 male and 691 female)and Boophilus annulatus 49%(83male and 678 female),respectively.Conclusions:Results of the current investigation indicate the presence of two species of acarine ectoparasites which have potential health risk lxodes ricinus and Boophilus annulatus.More studies are required to increase our data concerning ticks and other ectopreasites of ruminants in other areas of Mazandaran province and should be noted to their ability in transmission of infectious agents.Ashkan Ghasemi Moghaddam Mozafar Razavi Seyed Mehrshad Rasouli Sajad Hosseinzade Mohammad Mehdi Darvishi Arash Rakhshanpour Mohammad Taghi Rahimi 2014Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine2014,4,3:0
