Large numbersLarge numbers of new bacterial taxa found by Yunnan Institute of Microbiology显示文摘Extreme environments, primeval forest, sea sediments and plants in China yielded members of a new suborder, Jiangellineae, a new family Sinobacteraceae, and 23 new genera of actinomycetes and other bacteria. Three suggestions were made for further discoveries of new actinomycetes. First, natural habitats such as old growth forests, and extreme environments, should be given sampling priority; second, culturing procedures need to be constantly improved to mimic natural habitats; third, less than 98.5% similarity of 16S rRNA sequence to that of a known species could be used as an indicator of a new species.JIANG Yi CAO YanRu ZHAO LiXing TANG ShuKun WANG Yun LI WenJun XU Ping LOU Kai MAO PeiHong XU LiHua 2011Chinese Science Bulletin2011,56,8:5
Effects of nitrogen ion irradiation on endoglucanase activity and gene mutation of Bacillus subtilis Bac01显示文摘Bacillus subtilis Bac01 was mutated by 15 keV N+ ions of 1.5×1016 cm-2. The mutant strain Bac11 with high yield of endoglucanase was isolated using carboxymethylcellulose sodium and congo red indicative plates. It exhibited higher endoglucanase activitiy (381.89IU) than the original strain Bac01 (93.33IU). Two 1,500 bp endoglucanase gene fragments were obtained with PCR amplification from B. subtilis Bac01 and mutant strain Bac11. BLAST comparison result indicated that 10 nucleotides mutated. Bioinformatics methods were used to analyze the two predicted amino acid sequences, and it was found that 5 amino acid residues changed, being all in the cellulose-binding domain of endoglucanase.LU Jie MAO Peihong JIN Xiang YU Long YING Hanjie 2009Nuclear Science and Techniques2009,20,5:2
Recent advances and challenges in materials for 3D bioprinting显示文摘3 D bioprinting has been developed as a promising technology in a wide variety of biomedical applications. However, the successful implementation of bioprinting is still heavily restricted by the relatively narrow range of printable and biocompatible materials. Recently, many comprehensive reviews of the main bioprinting methods, commonly used bioprinting materials and the trending bioprinting applications have been carried out. In this review, we focused on the trends in the development of materials for 3 D bioprinting. The significance and recent advances of ECM-based materials, multi-material and stimuli-responsive materials for bioprinting were summarized successively. Moreover, the challenges in current studies and future perspectives of materials for 3 D bioprinting were discussed.Hongli Mao Li Yang Haofang Zhu Lihuang Wu Peihong Ji Jiquan Yang Zhongwei Gu 2020Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2020,30,5:1
A New Species of Cupressinocladus from the Lower Cretaceous of Guyang Basin,Inner Mongolia,China and Cluster Analysis显示文摘Cupressinocladus Seward is a fossil genus of conifers and conifer fossils with reproductive organs are very rare.In general,it is difficult to understand the natural affinities with other conifers. In this paper,a new species,Cupressinocladus guyangensis P.H.Jin et B.N.Sun sp.nov.,is reported based on branches with immature female cones from the Lower Cretaceous Guyang Formation of the Guyang Basin in Inner Mongolia, northern China. The foliage shoots are decussate.Leaves are decussate,imbricate,scale-like,weakly dimorphic, and bear longitudinal glands on the abaxial view.Stomata complexes are haplocheilic, monocyclic, irregularly arranged, and spread along the leaf margin.Immature female cones are subglobose with 6-8 cone scales, and three subglobose ovules arranged in a row at the base of the cone scales. Moreover,we performed cluster analysis using a statistics and machine learning toolbox for 23 fossils and extant species based on 16 morphological characters. The result implies that the new species bears a close resemblance to the extant Cupressus funebris Endl.and might have nearest systematic affinities to it.JIN Peihong MAO Teng DONG Junling WANG Zixi SUN Mingxuan XU Xiaohui DU Baoxia SUN Bainian 2017Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2017,91,4:1

Total DNA of Glycyrrhiza uralensis transformed into Hansenula anomala by ion implantation:Preparing Glycyrrhizic acid in recombined yeasts显示文摘Glycyrrhizic acid(GA) in Glycyrrhiza uralensis(G.uralensis) is physiologically active. In this study, the total DNA of wild G.uralensis was randomly transformed into Hansenula anomala by implantation of low-energy Ar^+ and N^+,to produce five recombinant yeast strains relating to biological synthesis of the GA or Glycyrrhetinic acid (GAs).After culturing in liquid medium for 96 h,the resultant GA,18α-GAs and 18β-Gas were determined by reversed-phase high performance liquid chromatography(RP-HPLC),and the corresponding concentrations were 114.49,0.56,and 0.81 mg·L^(-1).After one hundred primers were analyzed with random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD),the seven different DNA fragments were produced by the N7059 strain of recombined yeasts, and, the polymerase chain reaction(PCR) verified that one of them came from the genome of G.uralensis, indicating a successful transfer of genetic information by ion implantation.Jin Xiang Lue Jie Ma Yuan Mao Peihong 2010Nuclear Science and Techniques2010,21,6:1
Changes in motor function in the unaffected hand of stroke patients should not be ignored显示文摘Motor function changes in the unaffected hand of stroke patients with hemiplegia. These changes are often ignored by clinicians owing to the extent of motor disability of the affected hand. Finger tapping frequency and Lind-mark hand function score showed that the motor function of unaffected hands in stroke patients was poorer than that of a healthy control hand. After 2 weeks of rehabilitation treatment, motor function of the unaffected hand of stroke patients was obviously improved. Therefore, attention should also be paid to motor function in the unaffected hand of stroke patients with hemiplegia during rehabilitation.Lingli Zhang Peihong Li Zhibang Mao Xiang Qi Jun Zou Zhusheng Yu 2014Neural Regeneration Research2014,9,13:0
Preparation of Red Component in Secondary Metabolites of Recombinant Hansenula anomala N6076 and Its GC-MS Detection显示文摘[Objective] This study aimed to investigate the preparation of red component in secondary metabolites of recombinant Hansenula anomala strain N6076 and its GC-MS detection. [Method] Thin-layer chromatography method was applied for large-scale preparation of red component in the secondary metabolites of recombinant H. anomala strain N6076. The red component was dissolved in anhydrous ethanol for GC-MS detection and chemical structure comparison in the database to identify its type. [Result] The red component is preliminarily identified as a quinone compound, while no compound with exactly the same structure as the red component has been found in WILEY, Nist and Nbs compound libraries. [Conclusion] This study laid the foundation for further NMR structure identification of the obtained red component and investigation of the relationship between its structure and biological effects.Yonghong FAN Xiang JIN Peihong MAO 2012Agricultural Biotechnology2012,1,4:0
