1Breaking the linear correlations for enhanced electrochemical nitrogen reduction by carbon-encapsulated mixed-valence Fe_(7)(PO_(4))_(6)显示文摘Electrochemical nitrogen reduction(NRR)is deemed as a consummate answer for the traditional Haber–Bosch technology.Breaking the linear correlations between adsorption and transition-state energies of intermediates is vital to improve the kinetics of ammonia synthesis and obtain a less energy-intensive process.Herein,carbon-encapsulated mixed-valence Fe_(7)(PO_(4))_(6) was prepared and applied as an electrocatalyst for high-efficiency NRR.A dramatic faradaic efficiency(FE)of 36.93%and an NH_(3) production rate of 13.1μg h^(-1) mg_(cat)^(-1) were obtained at-0.3 V versus RHE,superior to nearly all Fe-based catalysts.Experiments and DFT calculations revealed that the superior performance was ascribed to the synergistic effect of mixed-valence iron pair,which braked the linear correlations to improve the kinetics of ammonia from collaborative hydrogenation and*NH_(3) separation.This work proves the feasibility of mixedvalence catalysts for nitrogen reduction and thus opening a new avenue towards artificial nitrogenfixation catalysts.Lehui Ma Fanfan Xu Linlin Zhang Zhongfen Nie Kai Xia Mingxia Guo Mingzhu Li Xin Ding 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,8:1
2Curved carbon photo-oxygenation catalysts for the suppression and nanoscopic imaging ofβ-amyloid peptides fibrillation显示文摘The progression of Alzheimer’s disease(AD)is characterized with the deposition and aggregation ofβ-amyloid(Aβ).Visualizing Aβaggregates at high spatial resolution is beneficial for AD diagnosis and treatment.Herein,we designed a new molecule by conjugating corannulene(Cor)with rhodamine B isothiocyanate(Rhb),namely Cor-Rhb,for the nanoscopic imaging and modulating Aβpeptide fibrillation.The low duty cycle,high photon output and sufficient switching cycles enable Cor-Rhb suitable for localization-based nanoscopic fluorescence imaging.We find that Cor-Rhb can inhibit Aβpeptides fibrillization and interact directly with mature fibrils,triggering their disaggregation under light illumination.Noticeably reduced Aβ-mediated cytotoxicity after the addition of Cor-Rhb is also confirmed.These explorations suggest that Cor-Rhb displays great potential as a multifunctional therapeutic agent against amyloid-related diseases,and may largely facilitate a variety of super-resolution based biological applications.Yuanyuan Ma Zhongju Ye Chen Zhang Yanjun Zhao Hai-bin Luo Lehui Xiao 2022Nano Research2022,15,4:0
