| 1 | Two kinds of optimal controls for probabilistic mix-valued logical dynamic networks显示文摘This paper addresses two kinds of optimal control problems of probabilistic mix-valued logical control networks by using the semi-tensor product of matrices,and presents a number of new results on the optimal finite-horizon control and the first-passage model based control problems,respectively.Firstly,the probabilistic mix-valued logical control network is expressed in an algebraic form by the semi-tensor product method,based on which the optimal finite-horizon control problem is studied and a new algorithm for choosing a sequence of control actions is established to minimize a given cost functional over finite steps.Secondly,the first-passage model of probabilistic mix-valued logical networks is given and a new algorithm for designing the optimal control scheme is proposed to maximize the corresponding probability criterion.Finally,an illustrative example is studied to support our new results/algorithms. | LIU ZhenBin WANG YuZhen LI HaiTao | 2014 | Science China(Information Sciences)2014,57,5: | 11 |

| 3 | Expanded endoscopic therapy criteria should be cautiously used in intramucosal gastric cancer显示文摘Objective: Accurate estimation of lymph node metastasis(LNM) in intramucosal gastric cancer is essential to select less invasive treatment options and even avoid surgery. The aim of this study was to evaluate combined clinicopathological features to predict the presence of LNM.Methods: A retrospective review of data from 386 intramucosal gastric cancer patients who underwent gastrectomy with extended lymphadenectomy from 2003 to 2010 was conducted. The mutual relation between clinicopathological characteristics and LNM was analyzed.Results: LNM was detected in 40(10.4%) of the 386 patients. Histological type and vascular or lymphatic invasion presence showed a positive correlation with LNM occurrence by univariate analysis. Multivariate analysis revealed that histological type was the only factor associated with LNM. Combined clinicopathologic characteristics would be more predictable for LNM. We found no LNM when we used combined clinicopathological characteristics conforming to Japanese absolute indications for endoscopic therapy. The LNM rate was as high as 8.7% when Japanese expanded criteria were used. Univariate analysis in cancer conformity to expand endoscopic submucosal dissection(ESD) indication also revealed that the undifferential type was the only significant factor for LNM.Conclusions: It was possible to predict intramucosal gastric cancer cases without LNM using combined clinicopathological characteristic analysis. | 4 | Functional analysis of a novel C-glycosyltransferase in the orchid Dendrobium catenatum显示文摘Flavonoids,which are a diverse class of phytonutrients,are used by organisms to respond to nearly all abiotic stresses and are beneficial for human health.Glycosyltransferase,used during the last step of flavonoid biosynthesis,is important in flavonoid enrichment.However,little is known about glycosyltransferase in the orchid Dendrobium catenatum(D.officinale).In this study,we isolated a novel C-glycosyltransferase(designated DcaCGT)from the orchid D.catenatum by identifying and analyzing 82 putative genes in the GT1 family.DcaCGT could specifically catalyze not only di-C-glycosylation but also O-glycosylation.Apart from the normal function of catalyzing 2-hydroxynaringenin and phloretin to the respective di-C-glycosides,DcaCGT also catalyzes apigenin to cosmosiin.Targeted metabolic profiling of the substrates(2-hydroxynaringenin,phloretin,and apigenin)and products(vitexin,isovitexin,vicenin-2,nothofagin,3’,5’-di-C-glucosylphloretin,and cosmosiin)in different tissues showed that vicenin-2 was the most abundant product of this novel enzyme.Cosmosiin was detected in flowers and flower buds.We also established that DcaCGT functions expanded throughout the evolution of D.catenatum.Residual OGT activity may help D.catenatum resist drought stress.Our study illustrates the function,origin,and differentiation of DcaCGT and provides insights into glycosylation and molecular propagation processes,which can be used to improve the production of flavonoids by the cultivated medicinal plant D.catenatum. | Zhiyao Ren Xiaoyu Ji Zhenbin Jiao Yingyi Luo Guo-Qiang Zhang Shengchang Tao Zhouxi Lei Jing Zhang Yuchen Wang Zhong-Jian Liu Gang Wei | 2020 | Horticulture Research2020,7,1: | 5 |
| 5 | Acute toxicity formation potential of benzophenone-type UV filters in chlorination disinfection process显示文摘Benzophenones(BPs) are a class of widely used UV filters, which have been frequently detected within multiple environmental matrices. Disinfection is a necessary process in water treatment processes. The transformation behaviors and toxicity changes of 14 BP-type UV filters during chlorination disinfection treatment were investigated in this study. A new index, the acute toxicity formation potential, was proposed to evaluate the toxicity changes and potential risks of BP-type UV filters during chlorination treatment. It was found that 13 of 14 BP-type UV filters exhibited toxicity decreases in the chlorination disinfection process, more or less, while one showed a toxicity increase. The toxicity changes were dependent on substitution effects, such that 2,4-di-hydroxylated or 3-hydroxylated BPs exhibited significant toxicity decreases after chlorination treatment due to the ready cleavage of the aromatic ring. | 6 | Characteristic analysis of phospholipid fatty acids (PLFAs) in typical nutrient polluted lake sediment in Wuhan显示文摘The process of urbanization aggravates the endogenous pollution of urban lake sediment,and polluted sediment may seriously affect the quality of the water in lakes.At present,it is difficult to distinguish the difference between sediment that is heavily polluted by nitrogen(N)and phosphorus(P)when using an analysis based on a physicochemical index classification.The current study applied phospholipid fatty acid(PLFA)technology to further analyze the sediment characteristics from the perspective of microbiology.Surface sediment from five urban lakes that are heavily polluted with N and P in Wuhan were sampled.Statistical approaches were used to analyze the microbial community structure in the sampled sediment,and to determine the correlations between the microorganisms and physicochemical indices.The most severely polluted lake sediment had similar PLFA structures,the highest saturated fatty-acid content,and bacteria as the dominant microorganism.However,there were differences between the microbial biomass of the various sediment samples,which may have been related to the degree of N and P pollution.Analysis of the microbial diversity in the sediment samples indicated that the bacteria were experiencing starvation and nutrient pressure,which may have been due to the dissolved oxygen concentration of the heavily polluted lake sediment.A correlation analysis showed that the endogenous N and P had different effects on the microbes of the polluted sediment.A redundancy analysis(RDA)demonstrated that the N/P ratio had the greatest influence on the PLFA species,accounting for 83%of the cumulative interpretation.To effectively promote the role of sediment microorganisms on circulating elements,it is necessary to regulate the N/P ratio of the sediment to some extent.When the N/P ratio in sediment exceeds 6,N pollution should be prioritized. | Xia Zhang Qianru Chen Chuan Wang Hongpei Zhang Yuqing Zhao Liping Zhang Biyun Liu Zhenbin Wu Qiaohong Zhou | 2021 | International Journal of Sediment Research2021,36,2: | 5 |

| 9 | Distribution characteristics of total mercury and methylmercury in the topsoil and dust of Xiamen, China显示文摘The levels and distribution of mercury (Hg) species, including total mercury (THg) and methylmercury (MeHg) in the topsoil and dust collected from twenty sampling stations located in different land function areas of Xiamen, China, were investigated. The THg concentrations in topsoil ranged from 0.071 to 1.2 mg/kg, and in dust ranged from of 0.034 to 1.4 mg/kg. For stations where the THg of dust was less than 0.31 mg/kg, THg concentrations in the topsoil were significantly correlated to those in the corresponding dust (r = 0.597, n = 16, P = 0.014). The MeHg concentrations in topsoil were varied between 0.14 and 5.7 μg/kg. The ratios of MeHg/THg in the topsoil ranged from 0.069% to 0.74%. The range of MeHg concentration in the dust were 0.092–2.3 μg/kg. The ratios of MeHg/THg in the dust were at the same level as those in the topsoil. The MeHg concentrations in both topsoil and dust were linked to corresponding THg concentrations and soil organic matter. | 10 | Structural and metabolic responses of microbial community to sewage-borne chlorpyrifos in constructed wetlands显示文摘Long-term use of chlorpyrifos poses a potential threat to the environment that cannot be ignored, yet little is known about the succession of substrate microbial communities in constructed wetlands(CWs) under chlorpyrifos stress. Six pilot-scale CW systems receiving artificial wastewater containing 1 mg/L chlorpyrifos were established to investigate the effects of chlorpyrifos and wetland vegetation on the microbial metabolism pattern of carbon sources and community structure, using BIOLOG and denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis(DGGE) approaches. Based on our samples, BIOLOG showed that Shannon diversity(HV) and richness(S) values distinctly increased after 30 days when chlorpyrifos was added. At the same time, differences between the vegetated and the non-vegetated systems disappeared. DGGE profiles indicated that H Vand S had no significant differences among four different treatments. The effect of chlorpyrifos on the microbial community was mainly reflected at the physiological level. Principal component analysis(PCA) of both BIOLOG and DGGE showed that added chlorpyrifos made a difference on test results.Meanwhile, there was no difference between the vegetation and no-vegetation treatments after addition of chlorpyrifos at the physiological level. Moreover, the vegetation had no significant effect on the microbial community at the genetic level. Comparisons were made between bacteria in this experiment and other known chlorpyrifos-degrading bacteria. | 20 | Construction of hybrid constructed wetlands for phosphorus chemical industry tailwater treatment in the middle Yangtze river basin:Responses of plant growth and root-associated microbial communities显示文摘Constructed wetlands are commonly utilized to treat industrial wastewater due to their effectiveness,affordability,and environmental benefits.Many phosphorus chemical enterprises in the middle Yangtze River basin are facing high pollution load challenges and efforts are needed to improve removal efficiency of pollutants.This work was the first to use constructed wetlands for phosphorus chemical industry tailwater(PCITW)treatment.The new hybrid constructed wetlands(CWs)proposed were the aeration horizontal subsurface flow constructed wetland(AHSCW)and the integrated vertical flow constructed wetland(IVCW),which were constructed on a pilot scale.Here,the effectiveness of pollutant removal along hybrid CWs,wetland plant growth,and rootassociated microbial community responses to the PCITW were investigated.The results showed that there was spatial variation in removal of carbon,nitrogen,and phosphorus in the hybrid CWs,and that the AHSCW and the IVCW played synergistic roles in the removal of pollutants.Compared with influent,the toxic effect of effluent to embryos of a rare minnow(Gobiocypris rarus)was alleviated.Exposure to the effluent resulted in no malformation or death for embryos.Plants and microorganisms in the wetland system of the phosphate chemical tailwater were then compared with the control system of municipal tailwater.Plants in the former system had lower root density,and higher average root diameter,root shoot ratio,specific root length,and specific surface area.Plant roots also had decreased NH_(4)^(+)uptake ability but increased Ca^(2+)uptake to adapt to the high load and complex pollution stress.Unlike the control system,stochastic mechanisms had a more important role than deterministic processes in shaping the microbial community assembly associated with the PCITW.Meanwhile,analysis of microbial network-level topological characteristics demonstrated substantial reduction in network interactions complexity and microbiome stability in the treatment system.Findings from this study suggest wetlands will be helpful for efficient purification of phosphorus chemical industry wastewater in the Yangtze River basin. | Qianzheng Li Yao Guo Junqi Yu Lu Yao Shun Liu Yahua Li Disong Chen Fei Peng Dong Xu Zhenbin Wu Qiaohong Zhou | 2023 | Water Biology and Security2023,2,3: | 1 |
